Objective: To produce and validate a digital booklet on the use of masks in the COVID-19 pandemic context. Method: An online methodological study was conducted, comprising the following steps: search for themes and theoretical study, creation of the digital booklet, expert validation, adjustments following expert validation, validation by the target audience (general population), adjustments following validation by the target audience, and publication. Validation was based on a satisfactory Content Validity Index (CVI) of ≥0.70. Results: The booklet "Safe Use of Masks: How to Protect Myself and Others" was produced and validated by 20 specialists and 19 target audience members, with an overall average CVI of 0.99. The content and appearance were validated with indices ranging between 0.94 and 1.00. Conclusion: The booklet is valid and appropriate, assessed as a motivating educational technology that is easily understandable regarding mask use, contributing to increasing the population's knowledge in the pandemic context. Objective: this article discusses women's experiences during their doctoral education in accounting, focusing on the work-life conflict. Theoretical framework: we adopted feminist theories to discuss the imposed social role on women through the sexual division of labor and how this social role relates to the search for balance between personal and professional life. Method: we adopted constructionism as the epistemological strand and feminist post-structuralism as a theoretical perspective. We conducted in-depth interviews to construct the research corpus. We analyzed the evidence through template analysis and ordered codes according to the research characteristics and purpose. Results: due to the fact that the academic structure replicates the sexual division of labor found in society, imposed dichotomies were found as 'abandonment or postponement' of personal life to the detriment of academic life, mainly by issues related to motherhood and the high demands of graduate programs. Conclusions: as a result, we conclude that female doctoral students play several social roles traditionally attributed to women. Therefore, they relegate their personal lives, deciding to postpone marriage and maternity or entering doctoral studies. Thus, considering both the personal relationships built with peers and teachers and the academic institutional environment, the academy still needs to advance to contemplate the trajectory of women so that the difficult choices do not fall on them. Objective: to determine the incidence of medical device-related pressure injuries and associated factors in adult intensive care unit. Method: quantitative, observational, prospective. Data were collected between September and November 2020, in a public hospital. An instrument was used for daily evaluations of the skin under and peri the devices. Results: 1,579 devices were analyzed in 292 evaluations in 47 patients, identifying 233 injuries (14.9%). The incidence of injuries was 6.1%. In 20.9% (n = 61) of the devices used, the injuries were related to the orotracheal tube. Regarding the regions affected by injuries, 10.4% (n = 24) occurred in the ears; 7.8% (n = 18) in the face. Stage 1 injuries were the most frequent (n=147; 63.3%) in the evaluations performed. Conclusion: incidence was 6.1%. The need to maintain surveillance is emphasized, especially in patients with endotracheal tube. Prevention measures should be adopted to reduce the occurrence of these injuries. This article aims to analyze militarized schools stemming from the 2019 National Civic-Military School Program. Documentary and bibliographic research on the topic was conducted to that effect. Intervention Bioethics provides methodological tools to analyze conflicts when Public Security acquires a role in schools. The discussion instrumentalizes the concepts of Coloniality of Power and Intervention Bioethics as critical tools. Unconstitutional in nature, the militarization of schools follows a political agenda that materializes in the curtailment of rights and a threat to education. It is concluded that the militarization experience promotes an increase in violence in the school environment instead of promoting a culture of peace. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article analyses the treatment that International Labour Organization (ILO) gave to international migration in Latin America--between 1930 and 1960--at the American Labor Conferences. Based on a qualitative methodology, a documentary corpus consisting of memories, statements, and reports produced in the context of the conferences held by the organization was constructed and analyzed. This document aims to contribute to the scarce existing academic production about the treatment that migrations received during the period in question by international organizations. It also shows how the possibility of regulating migration at the regional level was established on the ILO agenda. The article concludes that this agenda, marked by utilitarian thinking schemes on migration, is a laboratory for the incipient promotion of measures aimed at the denationalization of migration policies.
