Objective: To determine the depressive effects caused by preventive isolation by the Covid-19 pandemic on university students and teachers. Methods: Quantitative approach at the descriptive-correlational level. Beck's depression inventory was applied to a sample of 100 teachers and 394 students of a public university in Colombia. Results: There were no significant differences between teachers and students in terms of the levels of affectation, but there were differences with respect to gender, with a greater incidence in men; likewise, it was identified that people between 16 and 35 years old are located in the levels of moderate and severe depression. Marital status was determined to be more prevalent in minimal depression, as opposed to widows who are concentrated in severe depression. Conclusion: For the people surveyed, there was some level of affectation, which becomes a background of the possible effects of compulsory preventive isolation. The results of the study are relevant for the generation of intervention programs in university welfare that mitigate the effect of this situation of social abnormality. Since the sample is not probabilistic, no inferences can be made, however, the results reflect the existence of affectations in a considerable group of people that cannot be delegitimized. Considering that anxiety disorder and depression engender contemporary discourses and, consequently, also act in the modulation of current subjectivities, this study aims to investigate how the constitution of the respective enunciating, anxious and depressive subjects occurs in lyrics by Clarice Falcão (album Tem Conserto), as well as Tiago Iorc (Reconstrução album). For this purpose, a corpus was selected, consisting of excerpts of two songs from the respective albums. Methodologically, it is a descriptive-interpretative study, with a qualitative approach, which is based, theoretically, on Foucauldian postulates (1992, 2008), as well as other authors, such as Bauman (2005), Giddens (2002) and Caponi (2013). That said, it was identified that the position of the subject who enunciates in the letters, poetically, prints the effects arising from anxiety disorders and depression through a self-writing, which results in a constitution of the self that reflects a distressed subject, exhausted and unmotivated. Objectives: to investigate the relationship of dietary patterns and degree of food processing with feelings of depression in pregnancy. Methods: cross-sectional study conducted with 784 adult pregnant women in Ribeirão Preto, SP, between 2011 and 2012. Feelings of depression were obtained through a structured questionnaire. Two 24-hour dietary recalls were obtained (24th-39th weeks of gestation) and adjusted through the Multiple Source Method. Four dietary patterns were determined: "Brazilian traditional","snacks", "coffee", and "healthy". Adjusted logistic regression models were used to assess the relationship of the tertiles of dietary patterns and energy contribution (%E) of foods according to the degree of industrial processing with feelings of depression (always/most of the time vs. sometimes/never). Results: 12% of the women reported feelings of depression during the pregnancy. Women with greater adherence to "Brazilian traditional"[OR= 0.54 (CI95%= 0.30-0.97)] and "healthy" patterns [0.53 (0.30-0.94)] and with higher %E from minimally processed foods [0.51 (0.28-0.93)] presented a lower chance of feelings of depression. A higher %E from ultra-processed foods [2.39 (1.29-4.41)] was directly associated with the outcome. No associations with the other patterns were found. Conclusions: greater adherence to the"Brazilian traditional" and "healthy" dietary patterns was inversely associated with feelings of depression during pregnancy, possibly mediated by the degree of industrial processing of the foods. The main objective of this dissertation is to study the relationship between moderate to severe depression and religiosity in contemporary subjects. For this, eleven patients were interviewed and collected through standardized and validated research instruments (scales). The level of depression was also measured 60 to 90 days later to correlate with the level of depression improvement and level of intrinsic religiosity. The results showed that a higher level of religious involvement measured by the intrinsic religiosity scale was not implicated in greater improvement in depression nor in worsening. However, it was found that a higher level of religious involvement was associated with lower levels of depression at the beginning of the study, in a significant way. From some references in the psychology of religion, it is concluded that religiosity has little or no effect on the improvement of people with moderate to severe depression. It is understood that this happens because religiosity has lost much of its force in the contemporaneity, in addition to biological and psychological factors that make depression, after reaching a certain severity, immune to the effects of religion. However, as more religious subjects tended to have lower levels of depression at the beginning of the study, it is concluded that if religion does not improve at least it has an attenuating effect on the appearance of the disorder, that if it were not religiosity would be much more serious. Thus, religiosity in fact provided the subjects with an effective way to reduce depressive symptoms by coping with stress and making the depressive experience have some meaning in the spiritual growth of the subject, through its re-signification.
