The presented paper is of a theoretical character. It includes a reflection on the mechanisms behind the rebirth of totalitarianism, using contemporary Russia as a case study. The research period taken as exemplification for the theoretical part comprises years 2000–2020 and was chosen for three reasons, mutually interconnected. The first among them is the election of Vladimir Putin, regarded as a strong symbolical representation of centralized state power, as the president of Russian Federation. Secondly, the consolidation of power in the hands of one man who had the tools to control and affect the political system. Thirdly, the modification of the Russian Federation Constitution to favor the durability of Putin’s government. The presented results point to the mechanisms behind the activation of totalitarian tendencies in Russian culture in the light of long-lasting cultural paradigms: collectivism and con-centrism.

Wydaje się, że określenie relacji między osobą a wspólnotą są zależne od tego, jakie jest źródło antropologii i etyki. W artykule przedstawia się wizję wspólnoty obecnie mieszkającego we Francji filozofa i teologa Jeana Vaniera. W jego osobie zauważa się łączenie wiedzy z doświadczeniem, teorię z praktyką. Owocem tych „łączeń” jest istniejąca do dzisiaj wspólnota L 'Arche., The dispute on the basis of social and political philosophy for understanding the community is mainly based on three classical positions: individualism, collectivism and personalistic vision. It seems that determining the relationship between a person and a community depends on the source of anthropology and ethics. The article presents a vision of the community of the contemporary French philosopher and theologian Jean Vanier. The combination of knowledge and experience, theory with practice is noted in his person. The fruit of these “combinations” is the existing L'Arche community.

Wydaje się, że określenie relacji między osobą a wspólnotą są zależne od tego, jakie jest źródło antropologii i etyki. W artykule przedstawia się wizję wspólnoty Józefa Tischnera. Przedstawił koncepcje relacji między osobą a wspólnotą w ujęciu filozofii dialogu i filozofii spotkania. Kategoria wartości i dialogu o wartościach jest jednym z kluczowych elementów tischnerowskiej filozofii. Stąd słusznym wydaje się ukazanie poglądów na temat wspólnoty w kontekście aksjologicznym. Od greckiej starożytności do dnia dzisiejszego trwa w pedagogice spór pomiędzy kolektywizmem, indywidualizmem i personalizmem wychowawczym. Kolektywizm i indywidualizm wyrastają z tradycji myślowej idealizmu, zaś personalizm jest konsekwencją realizmu poznawczego. We współczesnej debacie pedagogicznej dochodzi do głosu personalizm, według którego człowiek jest osobą, ale toczy się spór o to, jakie właściwości konstytuują osobę ludzką. W artykule porządkuje się powyższe ujęcia i wyjaśnia tę kwestię, przywołując realistyczną (klasyczną) antropologię. From ancient Greece to the present day, there remains in pedagogy a dispute between collectivism, individualism and personalism. Collectivism and individualism arise from the tradition of intellectual idealism, while personalism is a consequence of cognitive realism. In contemporary pedagogical debates personalism asserts that man is a person, but the dispute revolves around what qualities constitute the human person. This article presents the aforementioned approaches and explains this issue in the spirit of realistic (classic) anthropology.

"Między indywidualizmem a kolektywizmem : jednostka a zbiorowość w literaturze romantycznej" to książka dwuczęściowa. W pierwszej części przedstawiona została historia idei jako dziedzina i metoda badawcza. Omówiono jej powstanie oraz rozwój za granicą i w Polsce, a także związek z komparatystyką. W drugiej części zarysowano problematykę stosunku jednostki do zbiorowości w literaturze XIX wieku. Szczegółowej analizie przy użyciu zaproponowanej metody poddana została porównawczo twórczość takich pisarzy, jak A. Mickiewicz, Z. Krasiński, M. Mochnacki, R.W. Emerson, H.D. Thoreau, T. Carlyle, R. Bulwer-Lytton.

Human social life goes in frame of organized social wholes. Those wholes, according to Norbert Elias proposition, we can call social units of survival. Character of indicated wholes was changing together with the development of humanity. In the beginning survival was assured in a group of closely related individuals. Later on the same function performed different forms of state organization. Some claim today that today such a survival unit is or will be the whole humanity. In a group of relatives members were connected with personal bonds. In a structure of identity dominating character had we-identity. Along with the development raises also the role of bonds connected with associations, which were established to realize various goals and social identity becomes more and more I-identity. As rightly noticed Ralf Dahrendorf – collective character of human species requires community bonds, which are necessary to realize fulfilling life. Then it is a matter worth reflection the relation between changing models of organiazation of collective life and their ability to provide satisfying community bonds. Some manners of organization the community life are more and some are less favourable to preservation of community bonds. Especially threatening for this preservation are organization models of community life, which are extremely collectivistic or individualistic. For a preservation of appropriate community bonds there is a need for such a model of social life, in which individual and group actors will find, in a given space of security and resistance, field to practise autonomic individual and group behaviours. Często się twierdzi, iż potoczna psychologia stoi na stanowisku indywidualizmu, według którego działamy na podstawie naszych pragnień i przekonań. Poniższy artykuł polemizuje z tym poglądem. Nasza potoczna psychologia jest kompatybilna z nieindywidualistyczną pozycją, zgodnie z którą czasami działamy na podstawie naszych własnych pragnień a czasami na podstawie pragnień innych osób wymierzonych w naszym kierunku (tym samym nie kierując się naszymi pragnieniami). W głównej części tego artykułu rozważane są argumenty jakoby istniała niespójność w ramach nieindywidualizmu. Nieindywidualizm może stać w zgodzie z pozycją kolektywizmu krytykowaną przez Pettita.

The „Tischner-Days” Symposium of 2010 examined the topic: „The World and Faith in a Time of Breakthrough”. The newly published conference papers try to define the situation of culture and faith in western civilisation today. The Symposium participants concentrated their efforts mostly on such terms as „individualisation”, „secularisation” and the „holy”. In this article we try to re- read these terms as the description of ongoing changes in the context of Ferdinand Ebners’ dialogical view of the person. Our attempt is therefore to evaluate whether the processes result in a more personal (inter-personal) world or, rather, in a new ideology, experienced in „I-aloneness” (Ebner). Individualisation – the key term of our analysis – could signify a positive process (as for example K. Popper suggests), when it truly leads from collectivism with its ideology to individualism understood as a (dialogical) person (as in Ebner, Guardini or Mounier). Currently secularisation (Ch. Taylor, K. Gabriel) stands in opposition to Max Webers’ old „secularisation thesis” of pluralisation according to the individual situation of the person, rather than the disappearance of faith. The changes in the sphere of the „holy” could be positive if seen as focusing on the „I-Thou” relation. However, when the ongoing individualisation is not grounded in a dialogical view of the person, it can end up merely as a shift from one ideology to another; secularisation could end up merely as the dissipation of consciousness in a superficial and impersonal „vision”, and the experience of God could become impersonal as mere energy or radiation. When the real life of the person must be seen in terms of his real „spirit”, we are, instead, dealing here with a „dream of the spirit” – as Ebner says. What then is to be done? To make our times more human (so the humanity of the person will subsist in the dialogical dimension), the „need for a breakthrough” becomes urgent. We should not only foster the interpersonal dialogue, but also fight against „structural loneliness”, i.e. to convert abstract (inhumane) notions into human (dialogical) notions (for example as D. Graebers’ attempts with „debt”).

Wybór ustroju gospodarczego, przed jakim stanęła Republika Federalna Niemiec po drugiej wojnie światowej, zrodził potrzebę znalezienia trzeciej drogi pomiędzy liberalizmem, a kolektywizmem. Ordoliberalna koncepcja społecznej gospodarki rynkowej najlepiej odpowiadała duchowi przemian, jakie dokonały się po 1948 roku w Zachodnich Niemczech. Reforma rynku dokonana w duchu ordoliberalizmu została przeprowadzona przez Ludwika Erharda ministra gospodarki i byłego wicekanclerza w latach 1948 – 1963. Od 1951 roku koncepcja społecznej gospodarki rynkowej stała się doktryną ekonomiczną Europejskiej Wspólnoty Węgla i Stali; natomiast od 1957 r. Europejskiej Wspólnoty Gospodarczej. Celem tej rozprawy jest zapoznanie polskiego czytelnika z modelem społecznej gospodarki rynkowej, czyli gospodarki rynkowej z odpowiedzialnością socjalną.

Pojawiają się zrazu pytania: Kto rozumie? lub/i kto może rozumieć?, Co rozumie? lub/i co może rozumieć?, wreszcie Po co kto co rozumie? lub/i Po co kto co może rozumieć? Wydaje się, że odpowiedzi na te pytania z konieczności prowadzą do jednego tylko wniosku, który stawiam jako przewodnią tezę mojej pracy, tego mianowicie, że filozoficzna hermeneutyka sprowadza się w istocie do hermeneutycznej antropologii. Nie chcę przez to bynajmniej powiedzieć, że hermeneutyka filozoficzna daje się ostatecznie zredukować do filozoficznej antropologii. Mam głęboką świadomość wyraźnej ich odrębności i zasadniczych różnic pomiędzy nimi. Niemniej studiując teksty poheideggerowskich zwłaszcza hermeneutów nie mogę się oprzeć wrażeniu, że prawie wszystkie one, w sposób mniej lub bardziej deklaratywny, podejmują problem człowieka. Możliwość antropologizującej interpretacji filozoficznej hermeneutyki dostrzega także Włodzimierz Lorenc w książce "Hermeneutyczne koncepcje człowieka".
