- Abstract
Unlabelled: Although a progress in diagnostics of digestive tract diseases is observed some cases still are difficult to diagnose. Radioactive isotopes are useful and support standard examination methods., Aim: In the paper authors describe some scintigraphy methods applied in patients with selected digestive tract diseases, such as: bleeding located in inaccessible for endoscopy examination places, neuroendocrine tumors of digestive tract, bowel inflammation, colon carcinoma., Conclusions: Scintigraphy examinations are helpful diagnostics methods in selected diseases. However, such examinations have a lot of limitations, which narrow an application down to some cases. Implementation of new image methods into daily practice requires their verification with already existing image techniques in order to ensure optimal application in diagnostics process.
