This paper discusses the peculiarities of Brazilian Amazon, especially the access to information and communication technologies. Particularly, this work discusses the access of urban Amazon to the Internet and it proposes a review of the alleged isolation of the region, where the majority of the population is urban and the access of Internet is growing. It also denies the ideas that lead to the invisibility of the urban in opposite to the centrality of the environment when Amazon is the issue [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
