In this article, we analyze the narrators of Baltasar and Blimunda and The Elephant's Journey, by José Saramago, through the comparison between the narrative methods that bring readers and narrators together. They have in common the stylistic resources, such as metalanguage and orality marks, which seek to establish communication with the reader. However, in Baltasar and Blimunda, there is a compelled writer, whose strategies demand repertoire and re-reading. In The Elephant's Journey, the language is less sophisticated and the narrator's reflections go beyond critical awareness, as he explains the facts and correlates them in order to broaden the reach of his message. To carry out the analyses, critical support from Hutcheon (1991), Adorno (2008), Bakhtin (2010), Benjamin (2010), Genette (1979) and Friedman (2002) is used, as well as part of the critical acclaim dedicated to Saramago's historiographical metafictions, especially Cerdeira (2018), Raoni (2002) and Cruz (2013). This is an analysis of the Chinese feature film An Elephant Sitting Still (2018), by Hu Bo. From the configuration of individual situations understood as dead end, the film shows aspects of the conversion of a popular district through the current market economy. Considering the theme of fugue in the work, the article discusses how the narrative point of view internalizes an experience of time lived as a threat, in northern Mainland China. Most teachers are working from home and using digital tools to mediate their classes as a response to a demand for transitioning face-to-face to online classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on the ecological approach, this paper reports a qualitative study that aims to understand how digital technologies are integrated in the teaching practices during the Emergency Remote Teaching. Seventy-six language teachers answered a quasistructured questionnaire about their experiences. The findings show how the network created with their peers scaffolded this experience and played a crucial role in their appropriation of those technologies. The culture of elephant grass can make a major contribution in livestock, it is an excellent food for cattle and as biomass for energy purposes. The experiment was conducted from February to November 2012, full scale in an area of 1 ha, in the vicinity of the city of ETE Pendências (RN), with the objective of evaluating the development and productivity of grass-Purple Elephant, feeding animal and for the production of biomass for energy purposes. The experimental design was completely randomized with two treatments: irrigated daily (two phases) and other irrigated three times per week (one phase). Every 20 days were analyzed 10 plants in each stage. The variables evaluated were: plant height, culm diameter, length and width of the sheet. At 160 days after planting was cut and given the green mass and dry mass of grass. The results were very encouraging, as the productivity in the first two phases of the treatment was 136 ton/ha, and 121.6 ton ha green mass; treatment (2), the yield was similar, 136 ton/ha. The amount of dry matter was 43,5 and 39 ton/ha in treatment 1 and 37 ton/ha in treatment 2. Conclude that treatment 2 proved more interesting, because the amount of green mass is equal to the first treatment and requires less labor-intensive. Growing elephant grass cv.Roxo should be improved in rural productive semiarid Potiguar and therefore in Northeastern Brazil. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
