A partir de uma ontologia pós-humana, este artigo explora os agenciamentos maquínicos que produzem novas formas de vida, tal como demonstraram Deleuze e Guattari (2008) e Donna Haraway (2009). Através de tal revisão, evidencia-se o funcionamento do ciborgue como corpo ingovernável, insurrecional e micropolítico devido à sua capacidade de acoplamentos múltiplos, materializada em sua ubiquidade multiterritorial. Da mesma forma, o poder sobre o maquinismo do qual o ciborgue é peça não atua de forma repressiva, mas compõe produtivamente com as ações do ciborgue, incorporando-as à lógica de assujeitamento. Cabe ao ciborgue, portanto, agir estrategicamente, explicitando o caráter artificial do que é tido como natural em uma determinada cultura From a post-human ontology, this article explores the machinic assemblages that produce new forms of life, as Deleuze and Guattari (2008) and Donna Haraway (2009) have demonstrated. Through such a review, the functioning of the cyborg as an ungovernable, insurrectional and micropolitical body is evidenced due to its multipserir le coupling capacity, materialized in its multiterritorial ubiquity. In the same way, the power over the machine of which the cyborg is a part does not act repressively, but composes productively with the actions of the cyborg, incorporating them to the logic of subjection. It is up to the cyborg, therefore, to act strategically, making explicit the artificial character of what is considered natural in a given culture. Desde una ontología posthumana, este artículo explora los ensamblajes maquínicos que producen nuevas formas de vida, como lo demuestran Deleuze y Guattari (2008) y Donna Haraway (2009). Esta revisión revela el funcionamiento del cyborg como un cuerpo ingobernable, insurreccional y micropolítico debido a su capacidad de acoplamiento múltiple, materializada en su ubicuidad multiterritorial. Del mismo modo, el poder sobre la maquinaria de la cual el cyborg es una pieza no actúa de forma represiva, sino que se compone productivamente con las acciones del cyborg, incorporándolas en la lógica de la sujeción. Depende del cyborg, por lo tanto, actuar estratégicamente, haciendo explícito el carácter artificial de lo que se considera natural en una cultura dada.

A LI foi identificada, inicialmente, através de imagens do satélite GOES 12. O evento ocorreu durante a campanha de Belém, do Projeto CHUVA, que foi realizada durante o período de 01-30 junho de 2011, durante máxima ocorrência das linhas de instabilidades na região. Através da análise dos dados pluviométricos disponíveis percebe-se que a chuva associada à linha de instabilidade do dia 08 corresponde, aproximadamente, 29% da precipitação acumulada durante todo o experimento. A LI foi monitorada pelo radar meteorológico Banda - XPOL e permitiu a avaliação dinâmica e microfísica do sistema. Esta ultima realizada por meio da classificação de hidrometeoros com as variáveis polarimétricas. As variáveis utilizadas foram: refletividade horizontal (Zh, dBZ), refletividade diferencial (Zdr, dB), fase diferencial específica (Kdp, ° km-1), coeficiente de correlação (ρhv) e, por fim, se realizou a classificação dos hidrometeoros. O sistema apresentou fortes núcleos de refletividade que indicam a região convectiva. Esta parte da LI também é caracterizada por colunas com, relativamente, fortes Zdr e Kdp. A co-localização de colunas de Zh, Zdr e Kdp sugerem que esta é uma zona de elevada concentração de gotas de chuva com um tamanho considerável. A classificação dos hidrometeoros apresentou um resultado bem condizente com o que pode ser observado por outros pesquisadores e com as características microfísicas de outros sistemas convectivos. A squall line (SL) Amazon, which reached Belém on June 8, 2008, was monitored and analyzed by means of surface measurements, altitude, satellite and radar. The SL was identified initially through the satellite GOES 12 images. The event was during the campaign of Belém, the Chuva Project, which was held during the period 01-30 June 2011, during maximum occurrence of squall line in the region. Through the analysis of available rainfall data we can see that the rain associated with the squall line the day 08 corresponds to approximately 29% of rainfall accumulated during all the experiment. The LI was monitored by weather radar Band - X POL and allowed the dynamic evaluation and microphysics of the system. The latter performed by hydrometeors classification with variables polarimetric. The variables used were: horizontal reflectivity (Zh, dBZ), differential reflectivity (Zdr, dB), specific differential phase (Kdp, ° km -1), correlation coefficient (ρhv) and, finally, was held the classification of hydrometeors. The system showed strong core of reflectivity indicating the convective region. This part of LI is also characterized by columns relatively strong Zdr and Kdp. The co-location columns Zh, Zdr and Kdp suggest that this is an area of high concentration of raindrops with a considerable size. The classification of hydrometeors presented the result well consistent with which can be observed by other researchers and the microphysical characteristics of other convective systems.

Madeira Island, Portugal, experienced intense heavy rainfall on 20 February 2010 which caused loss of more than 40 lives and great damage. This is recorded as one of the major flash flood events during the past three decades. This heavy rainfall episode is simulated using the Advanced Research Weather Research Forecasting (ARW) model at a cloud resolving grid resolution of 1 km. A nested two-way interactive four-domain configuration centred on the island and forced laterally by the 6 hourly NCEP FNL 1° data are used. Four experiments with different cloud microphysical parameterizations are performed to examine the model sensitivity to cloud microphysics on heavy rainfall simulations. Analysis of the synoptic meteorological conditions indicated that the extreme rainfall resulted due to the effect of regional orography on the prevailing large scale flow with conditionally unstable moist air. Results indicate that the model is able to reproduce the heavy rainfall with good agreement. The experiment with the Ferrier scheme produced more rainfall than the other three experiments, as well as overestimating the quantity of rainfall. Analysis of simulated cloud microphysical properties indicated that the model-produced heavy rainfall is sensitive to different cloud microphysics schemes. Model quantitative rainfall comparisons at different stations indicate that the Lin and Thompson schemes produced a more realistic simulation of heavy rainfall with relatively better correlation and higher threat score than the other two schemes. The associated dynamic and thermodynamic parameters are well produced in these two simulations. Copyright © 2013 Royal Meteorological Society

O prognóstico do vento utilizando o modelo atmosférico WRF para o Estado de Alagoas é investigado neste trabalho. Com medições anemométricas realizadas no período de agosto/2007 a julho/2008, as previsões foram validadas estatisticamente nas estações situadas nas três mesorregiões do Estado: Sertão, Agreste e Litoral. Os resultados mostraram que a qualidade da previsão do vento realizada com o WRF é bastante satisfatória, principalmente no período seco do interior alagoano. Os prognósticos do vento na quadra chuvosa no litoral apresentaram bias de 1,77 m.s-1 e RMSE de 3,61 m.s-1, enquanto no período seco estes índices foram 0,98 m.s-1 e 2,99 m.s-1, respectivamente. No interior, estes indicadores atingiram bias de -0,2 m.s-1 e RMSE de 2,75 m.s-1 nos meses secos, e bias de -0,1 m.s-1 e RMSE de 2,63 m.s-1 no período chuvoso. Alguns aspectos do modelo WRF precisam ser mais bem testados e avaliados para aperfeiçoar a previsão na quadra chuvosa, principalmente as parametrizações de microfísica de nuvens e de cumulus. Os índices estatísticos obtidos foram equivalentes, e melhores em alguns casos, a outros estudos deste gênero, indicando que o WRF é uma boa ferramenta para previsão do vento. This paper aim to analyses wind prediction over the Alagoas State (Brazil) using the WRF model. A 1-yr (August/2007 to July/2008) anemometer collected data is used to analyze wind pattern and the model predictions were statistically validated using stations located in the three State mesoregions: Backlands (Sertão), Rural (Agreste) and Coast (Litoral). The results showed that quality of WRF model prediction proved to be quite satisfactory especially in the interior of the State during the dry season. The wind predictions in the rainy season for coastal zones showed bias of 1.77 ms-1 and RMSE of 3.61 m.s-1, while in the dry season these ratios were 0.98 m.s-1 and 2.99 m.s-1, respectively. In the interior of the State, these indicators reached bias of -0.2 m.s-1 and RMSE of 2.75 m.s-1 for dry months, and bias of -0.1 m.s-1 and RMSE of 2.63 m.s-1 for rainy season. Some aspects of the WRF model must be further tested and analyzed to improve the prediction during the rainy period, especially the parameterizations of cumulus and clouds microphysics. The obtained statistical indexes were equivalent or better, in some cases, if compared to other similar studies, indicating that the WRF is a good tool for wind forecasting.

Esta comunicação objetiva interrogar se as transformções ocorridas na Física (a Teoria da Relatividade de Einstein e a Mecânica Ondulatória - a Microfísica) conduziram o saber (a ciência e a filosofia) a um novo olhar sobre o mundo: a contemporaneidade. A questão central deste trabalho é mostrar a relação entre o comportamento dos elementos infinitesimais, objeto da Mecânica Ondulatória, e a nova concepção sobre o poder em Foucault. A partir dessa relação, permanece a indagação sobre as transformações ocorridas no campo do saber e se elas, conjuntamente, conduziram a uma nova epistéme. This paper purports to discuss whether the transformations which occurred in Physics (Einstein's Theory of Relativity and Wave Mechanics - Microphysics) have lead knowledge (Science and Philosophy) to acquire a new way of considering the world: contemporaneity. The central issue proposed is to show the relationship between the behaviour of infinitesimal elements, which are the object of Wave Mechanics, and the new concept of power in Foucault. This relation being established, the paper moves on to inquire as to the transformations which have taken place in the field of knowledge and if such transformations have jointly lead us to a new epistéme.

It also analyzes the ascension of Dunas Allotment from the perspective of the third sector: local autonomy and empowerment, as well as the disarticulation of the neighborhood association: struggle for housing. It also brings into discussion the issue of traditional projects which are thought and executed by technicians of government management (top-down perspective) and projects which promote local participation and empowerment, taking as reference the Urban PRORENDA. Finally, it presents a framework of Dunas Allotment, since its constitution, in four important moments which made it possible to move that community from a peripheric and subordinated position into a situation of empowerment in what concerns local and global power relationships. Esta Dissertação analisa as práticas de implementação do PRORENDA Urbano no Loteamento Dunas e como esta experiência interferiu nas suas relações de poder, em especial no período de 1996 a 2001, e quais foram os seus desdobramentos e efeitos. Analisa a ascensão no Loteamento Dunas da perspectiva do terceiro setor: autonomia e empoderamento local, bem como a desarticulação do associativismo de moradores: luta por moradia. Também problematiza a perspectiva de projetos tradicionais pensados e executados por técnicos das gestões governamentais (de cima para baixo) e projetos que fomentam a participação e empoderamento local, tendo como referência o PRORENDA Urbano. Por fim, apresento uma moldura do Loteamento Dunas desde sua constituição em quatro grandes momentos que operacionalizaram o deslocamento do Loteamento Dunas de uma posição periférica e subordinada para uma situação de empoderamento nas relações de poder locais e globais.
