The overarching purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of teacher motivation on teaching behavior and student motivation. The notion of teacher motivation refers to teachers’ interests, self-efficacy, and mastery goals orientation. Teaching behavior comprises of mastery-oriented and cognitively activating instructional practices, however, student motivation represents students’ interest in subject matter and student mastery-goals orientation. Data were collected from students (n = 434) from public sector elementary schools located in Punjab province of Pakistan, where students were nested within teachers (n = 89). Considering the multilevel nature of the data, multilevel analysis was used to test the hypothesized relationship between the constructs. The findings suggest that all facets of teacher motivation are antecedents of instructional practices as well as student motivation. Being a component of teaching behavior, instructional practices (only mastery-oriented) have strong positive links with student motivation suggesting that mastery oriented instructional practices involve a caring attitude towards students’ interests and learning which in turn result in enhanced motivation among students. Moreover, beyond the direct positive association between teacher motivation and student motivation, mastery-oriented instructional practices also mediate the effect of teacher motivation.

Facial affective computing has gained popularity and become a progressive research area, as it plays a key role in human-computer interaction. However, many researchers lack the right technique to carry out a reliable facial affective computing effectively. To address this issue, we presented a review of the state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques that are being used for facial affective computing. Three research questions were answered by studying and analysing related papers collected from some well-established scientific databases based on some exclusion and inclusion criteria. The result presented the common artificial intelligence approaches for face detection, face recognition and emotion detection. The paper finds out that the haar-cascade algorithm has outperformed all the algorithms that have been used for face detection, the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based algorithms have performed best in face recognition, and the neural network algorithm with multiple layers has the best performance in emotion detection. A limitation of this research is the access to some research papers, as some documents require a high subscription cost. Practice implication: The paper provides a comprehensive and unbiased analysis of existing literature, identifying knowledge gaps and future research direction and supports evidence-based decision-making. We considered articles and conference papers from well-established databases. The method presents a novel scope for facial affective computing and provides decision support for researchers when selecting plans for facial affective computing.

Identifying community structures within network dynamics is important for analysing the latent structure of the network, understanding the functions of the network, predicting the evolution of the network as well as detecting unusual events of the network. From various perspectives, a diversity of approaches towards dynamic community detection has been advised. However, owing to the difficulty in parameter adjustment, high temporal complexity and detection accuracy is diminishing as time slice rises; and recognizing the community composition in dynamic networks gets extremely complex. The basic models, principles, qualities, and techniques of latent factor models, as well as their various modifications, generalizations and extensions, are summed up systematically in this study which focuses on both theoretical and experimental research into latent factor models across the latest ten years. Latent factor model like non-negative matrix factorization is considered one of the most successful models for community identification which aims to uncover distributed lower dimension representation so as to reveal community node membership. These models are mostly centred on reconstructing the network from node representations while requiring the representation to have special desirable qualities (non-negativity). The purpose of this work is to provide an experimental as well as theoretical comparative analysis of the latent factor approaches employed to detect communities within dynamic networks. Parallelly we have devised the generic and improved non-negative matrix factorization-based model which will help in producing robust community detection results in dynamic networks. The results have been calculated from the experiments done in Python. Moreover our models methodology focuses on information dynamics so as to quantify the information propagation among the involved nodes unlike existing methods that considers networks first-order topological information described by its adjacency matrix without considering the information propagation between the nodes. In addition, this paper intends to create a unified, state of the art framework meant for non-negative matrix factorization conception which could be useful for future study.

This paper is a presentation and analysis of proverbial names of the Idoma people of Nigeria. A total of fourteen proverbial names are written in Idoma, translated into and analyzed in English within the purview of literature and Sociolinguistics. Proverbial names, and names in general, like proverbs are a vehicle for expression in apt language and are considered an important aspect of the Idoma oral lore. The analysis reveals that Idoma proverbial names are a vehicle of expression and convey very deep meaning and interpretations. They also serve didactic purposes where a name advises against societal ills or suggesting the need for people to embrace humility as the case may be. Socio-linguistically, these proverbial names are not just arbitrary labels but socio-cultural tags with their functions and meanings. Proverbs and proverbial names therefore stand as the fortress and custodian of the people’s wisdom.

Hostage-taking see on the methods of comparative-historical analysis in the context of identifying its political, economic and social nature, as well as the social base and national nature. Russia is analyzed in terms of the essential features of the manifestation of terrorism and hostage-taking, highlights macroscale of the phenomens, they have tried to achieve political independence of terror by relying on international forces in the absence of a solid social base.In this context, also considered issues of national identity, which is in a «multi-dimensional» the Russian state can not be solved by force, but only on the matrix to achieve «social identity» of Russians as a form of community solidarity and social basis of community of a higher level – community of Russians, Russian people.

The article deals with the conceptual aspects of the relationship of the family, civil society and the State. Development of a family paradigm in the context of requirement of formation of civil society – very significant research task. In spite of extensive material on a perspective of a family and civil society, the place of institute of a family in self-organization of civil society still didn’t become a subject of special research.Purpose: to investigate a role and a place of institute of a family in self-organization of civil society and to offer scientific justification of «a family paradigm» as social base of the self-organizing civil society.Method and methodology of carrying out work: the theoretical analysis of scientific li-terature on a perspective of a family and civil society. Results: In article is defended the concept about an immanent associativity of two social elements of society: family and civil society. The proof historical conditionality of their parallel development furnishes the methodological clue to development of a paradigm of a family in the context of formation of civil society. It is proved on big factual material that the family historically was a basis of civil society that is confirmed by researches of authors of non-classical and post-non-classical literature. The second aspect of the raised problem concerns identification of essence of civil society, in particular, of that model which gradually develops in the Russian society. The conclusion that to modern conditions of Russia there doesn’t correspond the former model is drawn and it is necessary to create a new paradigm of civil society.Developing the scientific concept of a family paradigm, in article the analysis of a condition of this institute becomes, there are given basic characteristics, which have to be its basis, the role of the state in this process is updating. The main conclusion consists that the put-forward recommendations following from qualitative parameters of the offered family model have important practical value. In the conditions of change of economic base of society, the vector of the Russian transformations has to define a role of institute of a family as the main social base of civil society.

Proverbs are widely known to be sayings which convey the feeling of the inner mind in some metaphoric presentations. This study discusses Hausa proverbs (in rivalry) from the feminist and sociolinguistic perspectives. Ten Hausa proverbs are presented, translated into English and analysed using sociolinguistic parameters of when, where, why and who uses the proverbs. Women in polygamous homes are rivals to one another. Their rivalry originates from the fact that they owe their loyalty to the same man. Each wife sees the other as a block to the “total” pleasure she desires from “their” husband. Even though they may have accepted the situation of sharing the man, they still find ways to express their inner feelings of pains against each other by employing the use of proverbs, which is a metaphoric way of expression, without realising they also puncture the image of the entire female gender, the image which women should all guard jealously.

- Abstract
Protective properties of Ra- and Re-chemotypes of S. minnesota were studied in experiments on active and passive protection of albino mice from infection with a virulent S. typhimurium culture. Vaccines prepared from the Ra- and Re-mutants of S. minnesota were administered to the animals in the sum total dose of from 0.05 to 0.6 mg. Hyperimmune and normal rabbit sera were administered in doses of 0.3 and 0.5 ml. S. mineesota Ra- and Re-mutants in the doses tested proved to possess a weak protective activity: the level of the immunized mice nonspecific protection from the experimental salmonellosis failed to exceed the natural resistance level. Immunogenicity of Ra-mutant was markedly greater than the immunogenicity of Re-mutant. A marked protective activity against the experimental salmonellosis in mice was possessed by the antigenic complexes from the homologous strain only.
