The study is devoted to the consideration of the existence of mortality in the works of contemporary Russian-speaking Tatar writers (Salavat Yuzeev, Rustem Sabirov, Shamil Idiatullin, Albina Nurislamova, Guzel Yakhina), on the one hand, influencing the macropoetics of works, contributing to the complication of compositional structures, on the other hand, reflected in micropoetics (complexes of motives that actualize the thanatological code, lexical units expressing anti-vital reflection, the living-dead dichotomy). The mortal dimension is associated with the poetics and aesthetics of magical realism, the features and symptoms of which are found in the works of these authors. Particular emphasis in the article is placed on the interpretation of death in the works of the German art critic Franz Roh, who substantiated the category of anti-vitality as fundamental to magical realism. The poetics of death is associated with the existential orientation of the works. Conclusions are drawn that mortality is one of the main artistic constants in the works of these authors, which contributes to the consideration of the traditions of magical realism in their work.

Stomach cancer is an aggressive disease and represents a global health problem. Currently, more than 50% of patients with a newly diagnosed stomach cancer have a locally advanced process that requires a combined approach – a combination of surgical treatment and neoadjuvant/perioperative therapy. In a number of patients, after neoadjuvant therapy, there is a marked or even complete regression of the tumor; the prognosis of the disease, as well as the need for adjuvant therapy in this category of patients is the subject of discussion. This paper demonstrates the clinical observation of a complete clinical, radiological and morphological response after neoadjuvant therapy (2 cycles of chemotherapy FLOT + chemoradiotherapy), as well as long-term relapse-free survival in a patient with locally advanced gastric cancer.

Background. The scientific research of leading dental schools is associated with various aspects of reconstructive interventions in the treatment of patients with secondary adentia, periodontal diseases and dental implantation. When replenishing lost bone, autogenous bone tissue is recognized as the “gold standard”, but its volume is often limited, while the problem of traumatization of the donor zone arises. A promising trend in the development of reconstructive dentistry is the combination of autogenous bone in the form of bone chips (ABC) and xenogenic bone material (ХBM) obtained from cattle tissues. At the same time, the issues of optimal volumetric proportions of the components of such a composition, as well as the problems of choosing the anatomical localization of the donor site, remain the subject of discussion. Objective to experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the use of a composition of autogenic bone chips from the intraoral donor zone and xenogenic bone material in guided bone regeneration (GBR). Materials and methods. The object of the study was 12 mature Chinchilla rabbits weighing 2500-3200 g. male. The animals underwent the formation of a bone defect in the lower jaw area, after which a GBR was performed A composition consisting of a mixture of 25 % ХBM and 75 % ABC from the intraoral donor zone (mandible) was used as an osteoplastic material. Results. The conducted study of the obtained samples confirmed intensive reparative processes in the field of surgical intervention using a mixture consisting of 25 % ХBM and 75 % ABC obtained from the intraoral donor zone. Conclusion. Traumatization of the donor area can be significantly reduced due to the possibility of replenishing the volume of bone tissue with autogenous bone in combination with xenogenic bone material. These results are recommended to be used during reconstructive interventions in the oral cavity during GBR in conditions of a limited amount of autogenous bone.

The study was carried out to design a concept for developing the coal industry in the Far North of the Russian Federation. The concept is based on an assessment of the region’s prospects for the industrial development and the specific features of local coal mining. The object of the study was a set of licensed companies operating coal deposits in the Far North. The subject of the study was a long-term development concept for such companies. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the economic potential of the Far North of Russia is not fully realized. One of the promising areas for the development of the region is the creation of new coal production and processing centers. The diverse coal compositions in the Far North make it possible to produce advanced carbon products, which is an alternative direction for the use of solid fuels in the conditions of the fourth energy transition accompanied by a decrease in the role of coal in the energy sector. The article presents the results of an analysis of the current situation in the coal industry of the Far North. The analysis covers such aspects as the distribution of coal reserves, the locations of coal mine operators, their production and economic indicators, and their relationships with the external environment. Based on the results of the analysis, proposals for the development of the industry in the short and long term are formulated. The study’s novelty lies in the concretization of the list of coal mining companies operating in the Far North, the analysis of their economic indicators for the period from 2018 to 2021, and the presentation of a new concept for the development of such businesses. The study identified a lower level of coal deposit development in the Far North compared to other regions of Russia, an increase in the contribution of mining companies operating in the Far North regions to the total financial output of the coal industry, and factors limiting the growth rate of coal production in the northern areas, including the limited scope of distribution channels for end products.

The aim of the article is to study the theoretical and practical aspects of forming a system of competitive advantages of higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the context of globalization based on international and national ratings. The subject of the study is comparing competitive advantages of the world’s and Ukrainian HEIs on the basis of international and national rankings. The object of the study is the process of improving the competitiveness of Odessa National A.S. Popov Academy of Telecommunications under modern conditions based on the world and national ratings. The globalization of the economy has led to globalization of competition. One of the indicators of a university’s competitiveness is its position in the world and national rankings. A ranking for an HEI is an opportunity to become more recognizable, improve its reputation. Taking the leading positions in the national, and even the world ranking, the university improves its attractiveness not only for applicants, but also for employers, investors, and the state. However, there are weaknesses in modern rankings, and it is very important to avoid turning the rankings into an end in itself.

The article is devoted to the burial rite of female burials with casting accessories from the 9-12th-century burial grounds of the Vetluga-Vyatka interfluve area. The study is based on 25 burials from the Mari sites, similar graves from the Mordva and the Muroma burials have been used for comparative analysis. The female burials with casting tools have been considered against the background of the Mari funeral rite in the Middle Ages. Individual peculiarities have been explained using the data of ethnography and folklore. An integrated approach to the analysis of the funeral rite made it possible to conclude that the women buried with casting accessories were not only engaged in foundry, but used to perform certain rites associated with protection of the family and kindred.
