Introduction. The article is devoted to the results of tracing research of things made of non-ferrous metals from the collections of Tsarevskoe, Vodyanskoe, and Mechetnoe settlements, stored in the funds of the Volgograd regional museum of local lore. Method. The author used the method of tracing. The digital microscope DigiMicro 2.0. was used to record the results of observation. Analysis. The author studied 63 products and allocated two large groups: 1) cast products and 2) forged products. The study fixed the following operations for cast products: the use of open and closed molds, casting in composite forms, casting by the smelted model, by the impression, liner casting. In group 2, the following methods of forging were singled out: forming forging, punching, drawing and forging of wire, bending, drawing, twisting, hacking, cutting. Soldering was used to connect the elements. After forming, most of the products passed the subsequent processing associated with the removal of defects (primarily post-casting) and the application of decor (hammering, engraving, stamping, polishing). In addition, the decor could be formed during the creation of the mold (cast decor). Results. As a result of the study, it was noted the use of a wide range of techniques and operations with a comparative technological simplicity for most products. It was also noticed that a few things have been specially prepared for the processing, and it demonstrates the use of secondary raw materials.

The mixing of ingredients – the most important process step in the manufacture of fodder pellets. The technology involves using molasses (warmed to 30–40 °C) as a binder. In its composition is administered a mixture of salts of trace elements (copper sulfate, zinc sulfate, cobalt carbonate, potassium iodide, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite), vitamins, salt, magnesium oxide, feed limestone, mono calcium phosphate and lime. Research on the development of feed pellets were carried out in laboratory conditions using experimental equipment. Mixer-reactor created the conditions for heating and temperature control of mass be mixed due to the occurring chemical reaction between water contained in the molasses, and the presence of oxides of calcium and magnesium. The choice of rational parameters of the mixing process upon receipt of fodder pellets allows to provide the high quality product with minimal energy costs. The ranges of the input information factors selected with the aid of a central rotatable uniforms-planning allowed with 56 experiments in a third-multiple replication to obtain the regression equation adequately describing the mixing process. The main factors were: the content of molasses, %; the content of calcium oxide, %; frequency of rotation of the stirrer, rpm; the content of salt in the recipe, %; the temperature of blending, °C. Output factors – productivity, kg/h; energy consumption, kWh; homogeneity of mixing, %. In the result of experiments impact factors and mathematical model of the process that allows to define output parameters within chosen ranges of variation of input factors are obtained. Greatest influence – the content of molasses in the product, the lowest – content of salt in the recipe. Efficiency of mixing hard distributed components pertaining to the most important biologically active substances was evaluated. Content (% of entered) of vitamins and minerals in the pellets did not differ significantly from the values provided by the recipe (not >10%). The degree of homogeneity of the products on the distribution of vitamins and minerals were at the level to 92.4–99.6%.

В статье описывается новая методика количественной и качественной обработки данных о средневековом металле, полученных методом РФА, для выявления местной продукции путем соотнесения состава сырьевого металла и готовых изделий. Идея о необходимости такого сравнения основана на сделанном ранее выводе о приоритетном использовании в псковских мастерских готового сырьевого металла без попыток повлиять на его технологические свойства путем легирования. Применение методики имеет смысл только при наличии в изучаемой выборке значительного количества предметов широкого хронологического диапазона и представленных полным спектром категорий: от сырьевого металла, заготовок и полуфабрикатов до готовых изделий. Существенным условием является происхождение материала из комплексов, в том числе производственных. Предлагаемая методика включает в себя несколько этапов, часть из которых уже выполнена на псковском материале. Первичная ее апробация показала достаточную для поставленных задач эффективность. Выполнение всех видов работ согласно предлагаемой методике позволит получить более подробную и объективную картину развития местного ювелирного производства., The article describes the new method of quantitative and qualitative processing of data from Medieval metals, derived through the method of X-ray fluorescence analysis, in order to identify the production location through the comparison of raw metal compositions and finished objects. The idea of the necessity of such a comparison is based on the earlier made conclusion that Pskovian workshops prioritised the use of finished raw metal without attempting to influence its technological properties through alloying. The application of this method makes sense only in the presence within the studied sample of a significant quantity of objects with a vast chronological span and represented by a full range of categories: from raw metal, blanks and semi-finished products, to finished objects. An important pre-condition is the origin of the metals from complexes, including production complexes. The presented method includes several stages, part of which has already been completed on the Pskov material. Its first testing has shown a sufficient effectiveness for the posed tasks. The implementation of all steps of the proposed method will provide a more detailed and objective picture of the development of local jewelry production., №33 (2019)

Twenty-four critically ill patients due to generalized purulent peritonitis, pancreatonecrosis, thermal skin injuries, and severe poisoning by acetic acid were examined. The general regularities of the effect of high serum iron concentrations on the health status of patients, on the activity of antioxidative enzymes, and on the initiation of lipid peroxidation (LPO) processes, as supported by the values of Fe2+-induced chemiluminescence, were revealed. In critically ill patients, iron metabolism occurs with the overload of a transport protein, such as transferrin, which is caused by intravascular hemolysis and hemoglobin metabolism to ionized iron. The overload of proteins responsible for iron transport leads to the tissue accumulation of free (ferrous and ferric) iron that is actively involved in the processes of LPO initiation with excess synthesis of cytotoxic radicals, which in turn accounts for the severity of endotoxicosis.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of iron (III) polymaltose complex (Maltofer) versus ferrous sulfate in iron-deficient pregnant women using recommended doses. Methods: An exploratory, open-label, randomized, controlled, multicenter study was undertaken in 80 pregnant women with iron-deficiency anemia (hemoglobin ≤ 10,5 g/dL, serum ferritin ≤ 15 ng/mL and mean corpuscular volume < 80 fL). Patients were randomized 1:1 to oral iron(III) polymaltose complex or ferrous sulfate (each 100 mg iron twice daily) for 90 days. Results: The primary endpoint, change in hemoglobin from baseline to days 60 and 90, did not differ significantly between treatment groups. The mean change to day 90 was 2,16 (0,67) g/dL in the iron (III) polymaltose complex group and 1,93 (0,97) g/dL in the ferrous sulfate group. Mean serum ferritin at day 90 was 179 (38) ng/mL and 157 (34) ng/mL with iron (III) polymaltose complex and ferrous sulfate, respectively (p = 0,014). Adverse events were significantly less frequent in the iron (III) polymaltose group, occurring in 12/41 (29,3%) patients, than in the ferrous sulfate group (22/39 [56,4%]) (p = 0,015). Conclusions: Oral iron (III) polymaltose complex offers at least equivalent efficacy and a superior safety profile compared to ferrous sulfate for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia during pregnancy., Метою дослідження було вивчення ефективнасті та безпечності заліза(III)-гідроксид полімальтозного комплексу (препарат Мальтофер) порівняно зі сульфатом заліза (II) у вагітних з дефіцитом заліза, які отримують препарати в рекомендованих дозах. Методи: ми провели пошукове, відкрите, рандомізоване, контрольоване, багатоцентрове дослідження за участю 80 вагітних жінок із залізодефіцитною анемією (гемоглобін ≤ 10,5 г/дл, феритин сироватки крові < 15 нг/мл і середній обсяг еритроциту < 80 фл). Пацієнтки були рандомізовані у співвідношенні 1:1 на пероральний прийом заліза (III)-гідроксид полімальтозного комплексу (ГПК) або сульфату заліза (II): кожен препарат призначали в дозі по 100 мг заліза 2 рази на добу протягом 90 днів. Результати: достовірних відмінностей між групами по первинній кінцевій точці – зміни рівня гемоглобіну через 60 і 90 днів порівняно з вихідним рівнем – не було. Середня зміна (і стандартне відхилення) рівня гемоглобіну через 90 днів склала 2,16 (0,67) г/дл у групі заліза(III)-ГПК і 1,93 (0,97) г/дл у групі сульфату заліза. Середній рівень феритину сироватки через 90 днів склав 179 (38) нг/мл в групі заліза (III)-ГПК і 157 (34) нг/мл в групі сульфату заліза (p = 0,014). Небажані явища виникали достовірно рідше у групі заліза (III)-ГПК (12/41 пацієнтка [29,3%]), ніж у групі сульфату заліза (22/39 [56,4%]) (p = 0,015). Висновки: при лікуванні залізодефіцитної анемії у вагітних пероральне залізо (III)-ГПК володіє як мінімум такою ж ефективністю, як і сульфат заліза, але має сприятливіші характеристики безпечності.
