The prevalence of obesity among adults in Russia is 18,4-29,8%. It is a significant risk factor for a number of serious diseases. An appropriate diet and aerobic physical activity are effective in overweight management. In studies, Glucerna helped decrease the body weight and waist circumference in obesity and diabetes mellitus.

The analysis of use of a basic clinical nutrition with inclusion to its structure of nutritious mixes after operation on a gastroenteric path at patients is carried out. He allows to predict possible consequences stressful impacts of surgical intervention and an alimentary deprivation, and also to develop ways of their elimination and regulation in an organism. The prognostic interrelation between level of survival rate and indicators of clinical, biochemical and anhropometric researches is established. Clinical manifestations of the postresection diseases, being characterized permanent diverse functional changes, are connected not only with operational intervention and length of rehabilitation period, but also with nutritional disorder of the patient that leads to albuminous, lipid and mineral disorder, vitamin insufficiency and lengthening of rehabilitation period. The correlation analysis showed that decrease in level of a visceral pool of serum proteins in patients after operations on a gastrointestinal tract associated with the high risk of complications, increases of lethality and duration of rehabilitation period. Inclusion of nutritious mixes in a basic clinical nutrition allows to do leveling the deficiency of energy and plastic substances which is observed in the operated.

This comprehensive experimental study had the objective to determine the optimum ratio of calcium and vitamin D used as additives in food compositions and provide an experimentally-based rationale for the use of new functional dairy products and evaluation of their nutritional value. Experimental medico-biological assessment was conducted using growing male Wistar rats by balance and biochemical methods. It was shown that the calcium/vitamin D ratio in foodstuffs determines their functional efficiency. High nutritive and biological value was documented for some new cottage cheese products rich in calcium (240 mg%) and vitamin D (1 mg%). Results of the study were used to develop guidelines for the enrichment of various food compositions with calcium and vitamin D and substantiate methods for the assessment of their real functional effectiveness.

Author studied 64 patients with chronic biliary pancreatitis and obesity. In most cases the observed patients had also a diagnosis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. It was shown that in combined pathology there were revealed atherogenic blood lipid profile, disorders of liver functional state, sonographic changes of pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. Inclusion of multinutrient functional complexes "Grinization" in complex therapy improved sonography results, blood lipid levels, and eliminated biochemical manifestations of hepatocytes' cytolysis and cholestasis.

Biological effects of their separate ingredients have been analyzed and problems of their application in food for treatment have been considered on evidence derived from the scientific literature.

A good nutrition status is one of the impotant prerequisites of good health. Malnutrition in hospital leads to increased complication, morbidity and mortality rates. Whenever the gastrointestinal tract cannot fulfil its function or must be rested (during intestinal desease), parenteral administration of nutrients (or simultative parenteral and enteral alimitation) is necessary. Nowday perspectives of nutrition support in patients whith intestinal deseases, methods of easily diagnosed of malnutrition are the problems of this article.
