With the means of Raman-spectroscopy the changes in hemoglobin complexes in hypertensive patients (42 men), including resistant hypertension (19 people) have been studied. There is a significant decrease in the level of complexes Hb-NO (II) in patients with GRA, compared with those in patients with controlled hypertension and healthy. Discriminatory values determined Raman peak levels of hemoglobin complexes in hypertensive patients (including resistant) and in the comparison group have been observed. Set the most significant peaks of Raman-spectra of hemoglobin levels allowed the controlled and differentiated resistant hypertension - 1325, 1350, 1550, 1580, 1660, 1668 cm-1 (AUC - 0,680-0,805). The possibility of application of these parameters for diagnostic purposes was discussed.

This review deals with the relationship between red blood cells and nitric oxide, the role of erythrocytes as participants of vasoregulation. There were the results of studies on the physiological origin of vasoactive NO under hypoxic conditions, sources of nitric oxide associated with erythrocytes. The data of the NO effect on the erythrocyte deformability have been analyzed. The hypothesis of insufficient NO bioavailability during blood storage caused by degenerative changes in red blood cells (increased levels of free hemoglobin and microparticles from erythrocytes) was presented. The results of evaluation of hemoglobin associated with NO by means of Raman-spectroscopy were given. Prospects have been identified in the diagnosis and therapy related to the definition and changes in levels of erythrocyte-derived NO and ATP.

We investigated the electrical and viscoelastic parameters of red blood cells, optical parameters of blood serum in patients with hypertension of I and II degree. We marked the increase of variations in the optical characteristics of blood components with an increase in the degree of hypertension. We identified the correlations of erythrocytes parameters with biochemical indicators reflecting hyperlipidemia, microalbuminuria and the presence of inflammation. It was noted that the velocity of red blood cells to the electrodes, the dipolemoment can be the markers of initial stages of endothelial dysfunction. It was suggested that the decrease of deformability, surface charge of red blood cells are the important pathogenetic factors in the progression of hypertension, therefore, requires additional emphasis in the treatment of this disease. The identified relationships between the optical parameters of erythrocytes and serum indicators confirm the interaction between their components, and require complex treatment of hypertension.
