In December 2022, students of the two-subject master’s programme in teacher education at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, conducted an activity day on sustainable development at the Polhov Gradec elementary school, under the guidance of the university professors of Didactics of Geography 1 and 2 teachers. An introductory presentation of basic terms and concepts was followed by four workshops where students discussed the importance of local food supply, glacier melt and greenhouse effects, extreme natural phenomena and sustainable mobility, all while linking the topics to sustainable development and climate change.
