Barva predstavlja zaznavanje svetlobe, ki se zgodi v posameznikovih možganih. Obkroža nas povsod, zato ima tudi zelo pomemben vpliv na naš vsakdan. Vsaka barva v nas vzbuja neke občutke, bodisi zavestno bodisi nezavestno. Za oblikovanje embalaže je treba proučiti različne barve in analizirati občutke, ki jih bodo vzbujale v potencialnih kupcih. Zunanjost embalaže naj bi odražala notranjost embalaže. V teoretičnem delu so opisane barve ter njihov psihološki in fiziološki pomen. Barve so opisane tudi kot zelo pomemben element pri oblikovanju embalaže, saj imajo znaten vpliv na potrošnika na embalaži in tudi na podlagi embalaže vplivajo na okus. Na podlagi raziskav so postavljene in utemeljene hipoteze, ki so analizirane v eksperimentalnem delu. Rezultati ankete so pokazali, da imajo barve različen vpliv na vsakega posameznika, kljub temu pa je možno povzeti nekatere splošne ugotovitve. Izmed barv, uporabljenih za oblikovanje lastne barvne palete, so se izkazale za najprimernejše manj nasičene barvne palete. Nasičene barvne palete so vzbujale okus grenkosti. Za mlečno čokolado so se odtenki rdeče in roza barve izkazali kot ustrezni. V zadnjem delu ankete so prikazane asociacije različnih barvnih palet že obstoječih blagovnih znamk. Izkazalo se je, da so anketiranci razmeroma dobro povezali barve embalaže z določenim okusom čokolade. Color is perception of the light that occurs in every individuals brain. It surrounds us everywhere and it has an important influence on our everyday life. Each color evokes certain feelings in us either consciously or unconsciously. For package designing we have to study different colors and analyze the feelings they will evoke in potential buyers. The outside of the packaging has to reflect the inside of the packaging. The theoretical part describes colors and their psyhological and physiological significance. Colors are also described as one of the most important elements in the packaging deaign because they have a significant impact on the consumer. Colors also influence the taste based on the packaging.On the basis of the research hypotheses were established and sustained. They were analyzed in the experimental part. The results of the survey showeed that colors have a different effect on each individual but it is still possible to summarize some general conclusions. Among the colors used to create our own color palettes the less saturated color palletes proved to be the most suitable. Saturated color palletes evoked the taste of bitterness. For milk chocholate shades of red and pink turned out to be appropriate. The last part of the survey shows associations of differnet color palettes of already existing brands. It turned out that the respondents associated the colors of the packaging with a certain flavor relatively well.

3. Oblikovanje embalaže in sistema označevanja vsebovanega sladkorja v mlečnih izdelkih in kosmičih

V diplomskem delu smo oblikovali sistem označevanja sladkorja v mlečnih izdelkih ter kosmičih in ga umestili na 3D modele embalaže. Sistem smo oblikovali z namenom, da lahko ozaveščamo ter pomagamo potrošniku pri razumevanju vsebnosti sladkorja v živilskih izdelkih. Posvetili smo se predvsem živilom polnih skritih sladkorjev, saj lahko predstavljajo veliko tveganje zdravju. Ob izdelavi smo odgovarjali na zastavljena vprašanja, in sicer kako jasno in nepristransko izdelati sistem označevanja, kakšna je hierarhija prikaza informacij o živilu, ter kako koherentno umestiti izdelan sistem na embalažo. V teoretičnem delu je podrobneje predstavljena problematika nerazumljivega in nenatančnega označevanja hranilnih vrednosti in sestavin na predpakiranih živilih. Zakaj med potrošniki prihaja do zmede, smo razložili s pomočjo opredelitev različnih poimenovanj in vrst sladkorja, njihove funkcije v živilu, posledice prekomernega uživanja in opredelitev priporočil. Prav tako smo raziskali vpliv informacijskega oblikovanja živilske embalaže na potrošnika, s katerim smo si pomagali v nadaljnji izvedbi diplomskega dela. Diplomsko delo smo izvedli s pomočjo programske opreme – Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Ilustrator in Blender. Sprva smo vsebinsko analizirali obstoječe mlečne izdelke in kosmiče na Slovenskem trgu glede na vsebnost sladkorja. Sledila je grafična in vsebinska analiza tako embalaže kot tudi obstoječih sistemov označevanja po svetu in v Sloveniji. Na podlagi analiz smo oblikovali večbarvno različico in enobarvno različico lestvice, ki se med seboj razlikujejo v prikazu primarnih informacij, barvah, postavitvi ter formatu. Nato smo za namišljeno znamko grafično oblikovali embalažo in nanjo umestili lestvice. V zaključnem delu je oblikovana embalaža umeščena na 3D modele embalaž za vsako živilsko skupino. Končni rezultat diplomskega dela je nabor modelov embalaž na katere so umeščene oznake, ki potrošnika informirajo o vsebovanem sladkorju, omogočajo lažje odločanje ob nakupu in lažji nadzor nad svojo prehrano. Oznake so logične ter na embalažo konsistentno ter koherentno vključene, a hkrati dovolj izpostavljene, da pritegnejo pozornost. In the diploma thesis we designed a labelling system of sugar content in dairy products and cereals and placed it onto a 3D model of food packaging. The purpose of designing the system is to enable better awareness in addition to helping consumers control and understand the sugar content of food products. We focused mainly on food products (dairy and cereals) that contain so-called hidden sugar, as they can cause many health risks. Throughout the process of making this thesis we tried to answer the following questions how to clearly and impartially design a labelling system, what is the hierarchy and layout of food information on packaging and how to coherently incorporate the system onto pre-existing packaging. The theoretical portion of the thesis focuses on presenting the fundamental problem, which is unintelligible and imprecise labelling of nutritional value and ingredients that can lead to uninformed consumption of food, thus health risks. We explain the reason for consumer confusion by explaining the different types and terms for describing sugar, its functions, consequences of overconsumption and recommendations. Furthermore, we analysed the effects of information design on the consumer in the food packaging industry, which helped us with further execution. The thesis was carried out using different software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Ilustrator and Blender. First, we analysed the sugar contents of existing dairy product and cereals found on the Slovenian market. Moreover, we carried out a graphic and content analysis of both packaging and pre-existing labelling systems around the world and in Slovenia. Based on the research we designed multi-coloured and single-colour labelling system variations differing in primary information graphics, colour, placement and formats. Next, we designed packaging for an imaginary brand and placed said systems onto them. Lastly, the packaging design was implemented onto the 3D models for each food group. The product of this thesis is a collection of packaging models containing a labelling system, which informs the consumer of sugar content, enables easier decision-making and easier control of one’s food intake. The labels are logical and are consistently and coherently incorporated onto the packaging, while at the same time still drawing attention.

Diplomsko delo z naslovom »Roza davek pri kozmetični embalaži« se osredotoča na fenomen, imenovan roza davek, s katerim imamo v mislih prakso zaračunavanja višjih cen za izdelke, katerih ciljna potrošniška skupina so ženske, v primerjavi s podobnimi izdelki, ki so namenjeni moškim. Raziskana je korelacija med roza davkom in uporabo roza barve, ki je pogosto povezana z ženskostjo. Prikazana je tudi vloga spolne socializacije pri ohranjanju tega pojava. Da bi ugotovili obstoj roza davka v kozmetični industriji, je bila opravljena analiza trga v Severni Makedoniji in Sloveniji. Podatki so bili zbrani s spletnim vprašalnikom in v okviru razprave v fokusni skupini, z namenom, da bi pridobili vpogled potrošnikov. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da je roza davek prisoten v obeh državah in da so potrošniki pripravljeni plačati več za izdelke, namenjene ženskam. Z raziskavo je bilo ugotovljeno, da fenomen roza davka postavlja vsesplošno vprašanje, povezano z njegovim vplivom na ženske v kozmetični industriji in ohranjanjem neenakosti med spoloma. Upamo in pričakujemo, da bodo v prihodnosti sprejeti ukrepi za ozaveščanje o tem vprašanju in zagotovitev, da se potrošnikom ne bodo neupravičeno po višjih cenah zaračunavali izdelki, ki temeljijo izključno na trženju glede na njihov spol. The bachelor thesis, entitled »Pink Tax at Cosmetic Packaging«, explores the phenomenon of Pink Tax, which is the practice of charging higher prices for products marketed to women compared to similar products marketed to men. In the study the correlation between the Pink Tax and the use of the color pink, which is often associated with femininity is investigated. The role of gender socialization in perpetuating this phenomenon was also explored. To determine the existence of the Pink Tax in the cosmetic industry, a market analysis in North Macedonia and Slovenia was conducted. The data were gathered through an online questionnaire and a focus group discussion in order to gain insights from consumers. The results of the research show that the Pink Tax is present in both countries and that consumers are willing to pay more for products marketed to women. Through the research its concluded that the Pink Tax is a pervasive issue that affects women in the cosmetic industry and perpetuates gender-based inequalities. It is hoped and expected that in the future, action will be taken to raise awareness of this issue and ensure that consumers are not unduly charged for products based solely on gender marketing, i.e., their gender.

5. Uvajanje alternativnih materialov nalepk v serijski proizvodnji

V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno uvajanje alternativnih materialov v proizvodnji malih gospodinjskih aparatov za različne namene nalepk. Podjetje sledi trajnostnim smernicam, s tem pa posledično želi zmanjšati negativni vpliv na okolje, zaradi česar išče rešitve za plastične materiale z uporabo alternativnih materialov. Namen diplomskega dela je bil uvesti nove, alternativne materiale, izdelane iz sintetičnih polimerov, ki so bolj ekološki kot obstoječi materiali nalepk. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljeno podjetje BSH Nazarje. Opisane so vrste nalepk, ki so ključne za embalažo gospodinjskega aparata. Te imajo več namenov, kot so promocija aparata, transportni nameni, prikaz ključnih podatkov aparata in druge aktualne informacije. Za iskanje alternativnih materialov so bile ključne površina lepljenja, lepljivost in sam izgled. Nalepke, ki se lepijo na aparat, morajo imeti odlepljivo lepilo, nalepke, ki se lepijo na škatlo, morajo biti neodlepljive, nalepke za zaslone pa morajo biti statične. Iskanje alternativ je bilo usmerjeno k materialom iz papirja, biorazgradljivim, recikliranim in reciklabilnim materialom. V diplomsko delo so bili vključeni opisi in funkcije različnih materialov ter lepil za nalepke. Alternativnim materialom se je z ustreznimi merilnimi postopki določila uporabnost za določene namene. Testiranje se je začelo z opredelitvijo namembnosti nalepke, sledilo je testiranje v pečici pri visoki temperaturi ter testiranje v klima komori pri različnih temperaturah in vlažnosti. Alternativni materiali so bili preskušani s testnimi metodami, ki jih je predpisalo podjetje. Nalepke, ki so uspešno prestale preskušanje, so bile nato uvedene v proizvodnjo. The thesis presents the introduction of alternative materials for labels in the production of small household appliances for various purposes. The company follows sustainable guidelines and thus reduces the negative impact on the environment, which is why solutions with alternative materials are also being sought for plastic materials. The aim was to introduce new, alternative materials that are more ecological than the existing synthetic polymer label materials. In the theoretical part, the company BSH Nazarje was presented. The types of labels that are crucial for the packaging of household appliances are described. These have several purposes, such as promotion of the device, transport purposes, display of key data of the appliance and other current information. The key to finding alternative materials was the adhesive surface, stickiness and appearance itself. Labels that stick to the device must have a sticky adhesive, the labels that stick to the box must be non-sticky, and the labels for the screens must be static. The search for alternatives focused on paper, biodegradable, recycled and recyclable materials. In the thesis the description and functions of various materials and adhesives for labels are given. The applicability of the alternative materials for certain purposes was determined by appropriate measurement procedures. Testing began with defining the purpose of the label, followed by testing in an oven at high temperature and testing in an air conditioning chamber at different temperatures and humidity. Alternative materials were tested using test methods prescribed by the company. All successfully tested labels were then introduced into production.

6. Preoblikovanje embalaže za izboljšanje uporabniške izkušnje potrošnika

Namen diplomskega dela je bil preoblikovati embalažo, da bo pozitivno vplivala na potrošnikovo dojemanje produkta. V teoretičnem delu smo proučili pojem embalaža, njene funkcije in okoljsko problematiko. Najprej smo se osredotočili na materiale in obliko ter proučili alternativne oblikovne rešitve, ki jo naredijo okolju prijaznejšo. V nadaljevanju smo raziskali pomen grafične podobe embalaže. S pomočjo primerov smo proučili, kako barva, oblika, tipografija, fotografije in ilustracije vplivajo na sporočilnost embalaže ter posledično na potrošnika in prodajnost produkta. Pri tem smo bili dodatno pozorni na posebnosti oblikovanja embalaže za otroke. V eksperimentalnem delu smo analizirali izbrano embalažo za preoblikovanje. Proučili smo material, obliko, grafično podobo in uporabniško izkušnjo pri odpiranju embalaže in dojemanje te. Nato smo predstavili materiale in metode dela za preoblikovanje embalaže. Podrobno smo opisali postopek izdelave od skic in izdelave plaščev do izbire elementov grafične podobe in uporabe programske in strojne opreme. Rezultat diplomskega dela je preoblikovana embalaža za set otroških ličil, kot alternativna rešitev, ki je okolju prijaznejša in hkrati pozitivno vpliva na potrošnikovo izkušnjo. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to redesign the packaging for a positive unboxing experience. The theoretical section outlines the concept of packaging, its functions, and environmental issues. Firstly, the research focused on materials and design and analysed alternative design solutions that made it more environmentally friendly. The next section investigated the importance of graphic design in packaging and, with the help of examples, examined how colour, shape, typography, photos and illustrations impact the message of the packaging and, consequently, the consumer and sales. We paid particular attention to the specifics of packaging design for children. In the experimental section, we analysed the selected packaging for transformation. We studied the material, shape, graphic image, and user experience when opening the packaging and the perception of it. Then, we presented the materials and work methods for packaging transformation. We described the production process in detail, from sketches and the production of coats to the selection of elements of the graphic image and the use of software and hardware. The result of the thesis is a redesigned packaging for a children’s makeup set as an alternative solution. The new design is more environmentally friendly and simultaneously positively affects the consumer’s experience.

Embalaža je eden glavnih komunikacijskih medijev, ki v tržnem okolju dobiva vse večjo težo. Poleg prenosa informacij ima embalaža danes tudi moč, da ujame potrošnikovo pozornost, omogoča diferenciacijo in prepoznavnost med izdelki. Kot raziskujejo mnogi, ima prav tako izredno pomembno vlogo tudi pri nakupu izdelkov. Embalaža je namreč prva stvar, ki jo potrošnik ob stiku z izdelkom opazi, zato ima moč, da potrošnika prepriča v nakup ali ga od njega odvrne. V kontekstu potrošnje so bolj estetsko privlačni izdelki povezani z višjo nakupno namero. Danes namreč potrošniki poleg funkcionalne vrednosti, zahtevajo tudi simbolno vrednost izdelka, ki jo lahko ustvarimo z oblikovanjem estetske embalaže. Tako kot privlačnim ljudem videz podarja nezavedno »premijo za lepoto«, visoka estetika embalaže daje nepriznano korist potrošnim dobrinam. Diplomsko delo je raziskovalo, ali všečnost estetske embalaže vpliva nakupno odločitev potrošnika. Odnos med omenjenima spremenljivkama je bil raziskan na podlagi kvantitativne raziskave, natančneje z anketnim vprašalnikom, ki ga je izpolnilo 155 respondentov. Izvedena analiza podatkov je zastavljeno hipotezo potrdila, kar pomeni, da bolj kot je posamezniku embalaža všeč, večja je njegova pripravljenost za izbiro. Poleg navedenega je pomembno poudariti, da raziskavo zaznamuje majhna reprezentativnost vzorca, zato podatkov ne moremo posplošiti na celotno populacijo. Packaging is one of the main communication media that is gaining more and more importance in the market environment. In addition to conveying information, packaging today also has the power to capture the consumer's attention and it can enable differentiation and recognition between products. As many researchers have found, it also plays an extremely important role in the purchase of products. The packaging is the first thing that the consumer notices upon contact with the product, therefore it has the power to convince the consumer to buy the product or even dissuade him from buying it. In the context of consumption, more aesthetically appealing products are associated with higher purchase intention. Today, in addition to the functional value, consumers also demand the symbolic value of the product, which can be created by designing aesthetically pleasing packaging. Just as appearance confers an unconscious "beauty premium" on attractive people, the high aesthetic of packaging confers an unrecognized benefit on consumer goods. The thesis researched whether likeability of aesthetic packaging influences the consumer's purchase decision. The relationship between the mentioned variables was investigated on the basis of quantitative research, more precisely with a questionnaire filled out by 155 respondents. The performed data analysis confirmed the set hypothesis, which means that the more an individual likes the packaging, the greater is his willingness to choose. In addition to this, it is important to emphasize that the research is characterized by a small sample representativeness, therefore the data cannot be generalized to the entire population.

10. Mikrobiološka obstojnost modelnega živila z dodatkom bioaktivnega izvlečka živilu in premazu embalažne folije

Cilj dela je bila priprava gotovega živila iz hitro pokvarljivih mediteranskih surovin in testiranje protimikrobnega delovanja bioaktivnih izvlečkov in vitro in v modelih živila - homogenatu in namazu iz jajčevca. Testirali smo protimikrobno aktivnost fenolnega izvlečka lista robide (Rubus fruticosus), izvlečka odpadnega destilata navadnega brina (Juniperus communis), njune kombinacije, izrabljenega gojišča (CFSM) in zaščitne kulture Lb. paraplantarum ter embalažnih folij PLA s premazom hitozana in izvlečki ter njihovih kombinacij proti patogenim mikroorganizmom, povzročiteljem kvara in naravno prisotni mikrobioti namaza. S procesi priprave namaza in njegovim skladiščenjem pri realnih pogojih hranjenja v hladilniku 4 - 5 °C smo zavrli rast aerobnih sporogenih bakterij. Dodatki v namazu niso zmanjšali skupnega števila aerobnih mezofilnih bakterij. Kombinacija izvlečka robide in brina ter CFSM Lb. paraplantarum je bila učinkovita v obremenitvenem testu s P. fragi in L. innocua, tako ima največji potencial za uporabo v živilih. Uporaba zaščitne kulture je smiselna pri živilih, ki so namenjena daljšemu shranjevanju, njihova protimikrobna aktivnost se razvije kasneje in bolj zakisa izdelek. Funcionalizirana folija PLA s premazom hitozana in/ali dodanimi rastlinskimi izvlečki protimikrobne aktivnosti kombinacije dodatkov v živilo ni dodatno izboljšala, kljub izkazani protimikrobni učinkovitosti folij v in vitro testih. Aim of this work was preparation of food from quickly perishable Mediterranean ingredients and to test antimicrobial activity of bioactive extracts in vitro and in food models - eggplant homogenate and spread. We tested antimicrobial activity of the phenolic leaf extract from blackberry (Rubus fruticosus), extract of the waste distillate of common juniper (Juniperus communis), their combination, cell free spent medium (CFSM) of Lb. paraplantarum, protective culture Lb. paraplantarum and packaging PLA foil with chitosan coating and extract combinations against pathogenic and food spoilage microorganisms and natural microbiome of spread. With preparation processes of spread and its storage under realistic storage conditions in the refrigerator 4 - 5 °C, we inhibited the growth of aerobic sporogenic bacteria. Additives in the spread did not reduce the total number of aerobic mesophilic bacteria. The combination of blackberry and juniper extracts and Lb. paraplantarum CFSM was effective in challenge test with P. fragi and L. innocua, thus it has the greatest potential for use in foods. The use of a protective culture makes sense for foods that are intended for long-term storage, as their antimicrobial activity develops over time and makes the product more acidic. Functionalized PLA film with chitosan coating and/or added plant extracts did not further improve the antimicrobial activity of the combination of food additives, despite the demonstrated antimicrobial efficacy of the films in in vitro tests.

V diplomskem delu bom predstavila oblikovanje idejne blagovne znamke. Poleg vizualne identitete bom oblikovala tudi embalažo za linijo čajev. Celoten proces oblikovanja bom opisala po korakih. Cilj diplomskega dela je, da se seznanim s teorijo in razumem proces oblikovanja blagovne znamke. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz dveh delov. V teoretičnem delu bom opredelila in se osredotočila na pojme blagovna znamka in njena identiteta, ciljna skupina, grafična podoba, embalaža in čaj. Razumevanje in upoštevanje te teorije bom nato prenesla ter uporabila v drugem, praktičnem delu. Ukvarjala se bom z oblikovanjem vizualne identitete blagovne znamke, ki bo sestavljena iz logotipa, barvnega in tipografskega sistema ter sistema piktogramov. Vse zastavljene komponente in podobo bom nato uporabila pri izdelavi podobe embalaže za linijo izdelkov. Cilj dela je, da predstavim enotno linijo različnih čajev, ki jih povezuje zunanji videz, hkrati pa sama embalaža omogoča razločevanje posameznih vrst čajev. The BA thesis present the design of an idea brand. In addition to the visual identity, I will also design the packaging for the tea line. I will describe the whole design process step by step. The aim of the diploma work is to get acquainted with and understand the theory and process of designing a brand. The thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, I will define and focus on the concepts of brand and its identity, target group, graphic image, packaging and tea. I will then transfer and apply the understanding and application of this theory in second, practical part. I will work on creating the visual identity of the brand, which will consist of a logo, color and typographic system. I will then use all the set components to create the image of the packaging for the product line. The aim of the task is to present a line of different teas that are connected by appearance, and at the same time the packaging itself indicates what type of tea it is.

Glavna naloga diplomskega dela je bilo ekološko oblikovati embalažo in etiketo za dišečo svečo. Za pomoč pri oblikovanju omenjene naloge smo naredili analizo embalaže treh že obstoječih podjetij dišečih sveč na trgu. Med temi najdemo tako ekološke kot tudi manj ekološke rešitve. Vsebino diplomskega dela sestavljata dva poglavitna segmenta, ki se delita na teoretični in eksperimentalni del. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili splošno uporabo embalaže in njene funkcije, kot tudi vrste embalaž, ki so primerne za sveče. Na kratko smo predstavili tipe etiket in zahteve, ki jih morajo izpolnjevati pri svečah z dodanimi dišavami. Opredelili smo tudi ekološko oblikovanje in načela, po katerih se lahko ravnamo za dosego čim bolj ekološke embalaže. V eksperimentalnem delu smo opisali metode preiskav embalažnih materialov. Te so meritve osnovnih, strukturnih, mehanskih in površinskih lastnosti kartona. Izbirali smo med valovitim in trdnim kartonom ter na podlagi meritev izbrali primernejšega za embalažo. Predstavili smo idejno zasnovo embalaže in etikete ter metode dela, po katerih smo se lotili načrtovanja in oblikovanja. V zadnjem poglavju eksperimentalnega dela smo s preglednicami predstavili ugotovitve iz meritev lastnosti obeh kartonov. Prav tako smo natančneje opisali celoten postopek oblikovanja embalaže in etikete. Pri tem smo opredelili še uporabljeno tipografijo in barvno lestvico, ki osnujeta grafično podobo izdelkov. Opisali smo postopek tiska in razreza embalaže ter vse skupaj opremili s slikovnim gradivom. Embalažo smo oblikovali tako, da je funkcionalna in da jo je mogoče ponovno uporabiti, preden se odvrže v reciklažo. Grafično podobo embalaže in etikete smo dodelali tako, da je estetsko privlačna, čeprav je preprosta, z malo potiskane površine. The main task of this thesis was an ecological design of the packaging and label for a scented candle. To help with making of this task we did seven analysis of existing scented candle companies on the market. Among these we can find ecological as well as less ecological solutions. The content of the diploma thesis consists of two essential segments, which are divided into theoretical and experimental part. In the theoretical part we presented the general use of packaging and it's functions, as well as the types of packaging that are suitable for candles. We presented types of labels and requirements that must be met for candles with added fragrances. We have also defined ecological design and principles that can be followed to achieve the most ecological packaging possible. In the experimental part we described methods of investigation of packaging materials. These are measurements of the basic, structural, mechanical and surface propreties of cardboard. We were choosing between corrugated and non-corrugated cardboard and based on the measurements we chose the most suitable one for packaging. After that we presented the conceptual design of packaging and labels as well as the methods of work according to which we started planning and design process. In the last chapter of experimental part we presented all the findings of the performed measurements of the both cartons with tables. We also described, in more detail, the entire process of packaging and label design. We also defined the typography and colour scale used, which establish the grapgic image of the product. Finally, we described the process of printing and cutting of the packaging and equipped everything with pictorial material. We designes the packaging in such a way that it is functional and represents the possibility of reuse before it is discarded. We have finished the graphic design of the packaging and label in a way that is aesthetically attractive, despite the fact that it is simple with a small printed surface and a small color palette.

Namen diplomskega dela je bil izdelati embalažo za mačjo hrano, ki bo večfunkcionalna in uporabna dalj časa. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in eksperimentalnega dela, opisuje pa načrtovanje, oblikovanje in izdelavo inovativne sekundarne embalaže za mačjo hrano, ki še ni prisotna na slovenskem trgu. Prvotna ter glavna funkcija embalaže je transport izdelkov od proizvajalca do končnega uporabnika. Po odprtju le-te jo je mogoče še nadalje uporabiti na način, da se iz zavihkov zgradi igralna hiša za domače ljubljenčke – mačke. Pri njenem oblikovanju smo še pazili, da jo je enostavno odpirati ter na podlagi ilustracij ter ostalih grafičnih elementov lahko identificirati in ločiti od konkurenčnih izdelkov. V teoretičnem delu širše zajamemo pomen embalaže, se osredotočimo na najpomembnejše funkcije embalaže ter razvrstimo embalažo na embalažne materiale, namen uporabe in na njeno trajnost, kjer vse tri skupine še podrobneje opišemo. Končni izdelek je narejen iz valovitega kartona, zato damo večjo pozornost tudi opisu tega materiala in zajamemo tehniko tiska, namenjeno tiskanju na papir oz. karton. Ker se tovrstne inovativne embalaže še ni srečalo na slovenskem trgu, smo zajeli raziskavo podobnih izdelkov na tujem trgu. V eksperimentalnem delu se spoznamo s programom Adobe Illustrator, kjer izdelamo vsebujoče grafične elemente, ki jih skupaj z besedilom postavimo v smiseln in razumevajoč grafični izdelek. Za 3D-pogled končne embalaže ter izračun odpadka pa si pomagamo z EngView package & Display designer suite programsko opremo. Zapišemo tudi uporabljen material in postopke dela. V poglavju Rezultati in razprava zajamemo celoten proces od prvih skic, izdelave plašča v programu pa vse do končnega izdelka. Nenazadnje vključimo še razporeditveni načrt embalaže, ki izračuna porabo materiala. Kot rezultat diplomskega dela je predstavljena inovativna, ekološka in vizualno privlačna embalaža, ki bi pritegnila uporabnika. Z njeno uporabo lahko kupec navduši svoje ljubljenčke in hkrati prispeva k zmanjševanju onesnaževanja okolja. The aim of the diploma thesis was to produce packaging for cat food that would be multifunctional and useful for a long time. It consists of the theoretical and the experimental part and describes the planning, designing and manufacturing of an innovative secondary packaging for cat food, which is not yet present on the Slovenian market. The original and main function of the packaging is to transport the products from the manufacturer to the end user. After opening it, it can be further used in the way of building a play house for pets – cats. When designing it, we also made sure that it is easy to open and based on the illustrations and other graphic elements can be identified and separated from other competing products. In the theoretical part, we broadly cover the importance of packaging, focus on the most important functions of it and classify packaging into packaging materials, purpose of its use and its durability, while also describing these all three groups in more detail. The final product is made out of corrugated cardboard, which is why we also pay more attention to the description of this material and cover the printing technique intended for printing on paper or cardboard. As this type of innovative packaging has not yet been found on the Slovenian market, we included a research of similar products on foreign markets. In the experimental part, we get acquainted with Adobe Illustrator, where we create the containing graphic elements and put them into a sensible and understandable graphic product with text. For the 3D view of the final packaging and waste calculation, we use the EngView package & Display designer suite software. We also write down which materials were used and the work procedures. In the title Results and discussion we cover the whole process from the first sketches, the production of the surface in the programme to the final product. Last but not least we include the calculation of material consumption. As a result of the thesis, an innovative, ecological and visually attractive packaging that would attract the user is presented. By using it, the customer can impress their pets and at the same time contribute to reducing the environmental pollution.

V diplomskem delu smo prikazali celoten postopek oblikovanja in izdelave celostne grafične podobe (CGP) za podjetje OMGWTF, ki se ukvarja z izdelavo naravne kozmetike. Podjetje bo na trg predstavilo nova izdelka, šampon in balzam za lase v trdi obliki. Blagovna znamka je že imela obstoječo podobo, ki smo jo prenovili. Z novo CGP se bo podjetje lahko primerno promoviralo in uveljavilo na trgu. V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili pojem CGP. Zajeli smo osnovne grafične elemente – tipografijo, barve in simbole, v katere smo se bolj poglobili. Opisali smo osnovna načela grafičnega oblikovanja, ki vplivajo na ustvarjanje čim bolj učinkovite in privlačne kompozicije, in predstavili funkcijo embalaže. Sledila je predstavitev komunikacijskih sredstev, kot so vizitka, spletna stran, letak … Na koncu teoretičnega dela je predstavljeno vrstično elektronsko mikroskopiranje. V začetku eksperimentalnega dela smo predstavili programsko in strojno opremo, ki smo ju uporabili za izdelavo CGP. Opredelili smo dejavnost in cilje podjetja OMGWTF. Izdelali smo profile strank, ki so osnova za nadaljnje oblikovanje. Sledila je izdelava CGP z vključenimi grafičnimi elementi (logotip, barve in tipografija). Prikazali smo postopek izdelave embalaže, od idejne zasnove do končne verzije. Na koncu eksperimentalnega dela smo predstavili mikroskopiranje z vrstičnim elektronskim mikroskopom ter izdelavo 3D modela za embalažo. V razpravi smo predstavili izbrana komunikacijska sredstva ter končno embalažo, ki smo jo oblikovali v diplomskem delu. The thesis presents the entire process of designing and creating a corporate visual identity (CVI) for OMGWTF, a company involved in the production of natural cosmetics. The company is going to launch new products on the market, a shampoo and a hair conditioner in solid form. The brand already had an existing image, which was redesigned. The new corporate identity will allow the company to promote itself and establish itself in the market. The theoretical part defines the concept of corporate identity. It covers the basic graphic elements – typography, colours and symbols, which we have delved into in more depth. The basic principles of graphic design are described, which influence the creation of the most effective and attractive composition. The function of packaging is presented. This is followed by a presentation of communication tools such as the business card, the website, the leaflet ... At the end of the theoretical part, line scanning electron microscopy is introduced. At the beginning of the experimental part, we present the software and hardware used to create the integrated graphic image. The activity and objectives of OMGWTF are defined. Customer profiles are drawn up, which form the basis for further design. This is followed by the creation of a corporate visual identity incorporating the graphic elements (logo, colours and typography). The process of creating the packaging is illustrated, from conceptual design to the final version. At the end of the experimental part, microscopy with a line electron microscope and the creation of a 3D model for the packaging are presented. The selected means of communication and the final packaging designed during the thesis are presented in the discussion.

15. Oblikovanje tiskovin za izboljšanje oglaševanja in prodaje v kozmetičnem salonu

V diplomskem delu so opisani in predstavljeni grafični izdelki, ki smo jih izdelali za lepotni salon, torej logotip, vizitka, darilni bon, nalepka z logotipom, kartica za zapisovanje terminov, cenik in embalaža. Namen diplomske naloge je bil izdelati različne grafične izdelke za dodatno promocijo novega kozmetičnega salona. V teoretičnem delu sta opisana uporabljena programa (Adobe Illustrator in Adobe Photoshop), ki smo ju v nalogi uporabljali za izdelavo prej omenjenih izdelkov. V teoretičnem delu so prav tako predstavljene in opisane uporabljene tehnike tiska (kapljični tisk, vroči tisk s folijo in elektrofotografija). Na začetku eksperimentalnega dela je prikazana primerjava izdelkov enega izmed lepotnih salonov. V nadaljevanju sta nato opisana uporabljena programa za izdelavo izdelkov, stroji, ki smo jih uporabili za izdelavo končnih izdelkov, uporabljeni materiali in pripadajoči formati. Prav tako so v tem poglavju opisani postopki izdelave posameznih izdelkov. Kasneje je prikazana priprava datotek za tisk in razrez, v poglavju „Rezultati in razprava“ pa so prikazani končni izdelki. Na koncu diplomskega dela so prikazani tudi rezultati ankete, ki smo jo izvedli. Glavni cilj naloge je bil izdelati logotip in podobo novega podjetja. Rezultat diplomskega dela so uspešno izdelan logotip in že omenjeni grafični izdelki, ki bodo pripomogli k večji prepoznavnosti kozmetičnega salona, kar so potrdili tudi rezultati ankete. In the Diploma thesis there were descriptions and presentations of the graphical designs, which were made for the beauty salon: the logo, a business card, a gift certificate, a sticker with a logo type, a card for appointment dates, price list and the packaging. The purpose of the Diploma thesis was to make different graphical products for an additional promotion of the new beauty salon. In the theoretical part there was a description of the two programs that were used (Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop) to create the above mentioned products. In the theoretical part there were also presentations and descriptions of the printing techniques which were used (inkjet printing, hot foil printing and electrophotography). At the beginning of the experimental part the overview of one of the beauty salons was shown. In the continuation there was a description of the programs that were used for the production of the designs, machines which were used for the manufacturing of the end products and the materials and formats which were used. In this chapter there were also descriptions of the design procedures of individual products. Later the preparation of files for printing and cutting were shown, and in the chapter “Results and discussions” the end products were presented. At the end of the Diploma thesis the answers to the survey that was made were shown. The main goal was to make a logo and image of the new company. Results of the degree were a successfully designed logo and the aforementioned graphic products, which were contributing to greater recognition of the beauty salon, which the survey has already shown.

16. Izdelava inovativne embalaže za vrtnine za zaščito pred napadi škodljivcev

Namen magistrskega dela je bil raziskati izdelke za zaščito vrtnin pred škodljivci in druge načine za zaustavitev škodljivcev na vrtu ter izdelati embalažo za vrtnino, ki ji bo na vrtu omogočala nemoteno rast in preprečevala škodljivcem uničenje vrtnine. Prav tako pa bo omenjena embalaža boljša od že temu namenjenih izdelkov, saj bo ščitila celotno vrtnino. Pomembno je bilo vključiti elemente na embalaži, ki so enostavni za uporabo, in prinašajo dobro uporabniško izkušnjo. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljenih nekaj splošnih informacij o embalaži in materialu, ki smo ga uporabili. Nato sledi predstavitev vrtnin, ki bi jih lahko pakirali, njihova pridelava, kako poteka razvoj in kaj vse vpliva na to. Temu poglavju sledi predstavitev potencialnih škodljivcev in njihovih lastnosti. Dodanih je še nekaj načinov, ki se uporabljajo za zaščito vrtnin pred škodljivci in za odvračanje le-teh. Sledi predstavitev načrtovanja in oblikovanja embalaže ter opisi o zahtevah, ki jih vključujemo. Naredili smo tudi krajšo raziskavo izdelkov, ki so podobni oziroma je podoben njihov namen in imajo lastnosti, kot smo jih želeli sami vključiti in izdelati v končnem produktu. Analizirali in raziskali smo tudi njihove pomanjkljivosti in določene elemente, s katerimi smo si pomagali pri izdelavi in izboljšanju naše embalaže. Magistrska naloga obravnava celoten potek od izbire in preizkušanja materiala, pa vse do načrtovanja izdelka, izvedbe končnega izdelka ter predstavitev njegove mreže in elementov. V zaključku so predstavljeni vsi elementi embalaže in končni izdelek. Za izdelavo embalaže za zaščito vrtnin pred škodljivci smo se odločili, ker je ta problematika tema vsakega vrtičkarja in po pregledu izdelkov na trgu ni bilo primernega, da bi v celoti zagotavljal dovolj veliko zaščito za razvoj vrtnine, saj so vsi izdelki ščitili le glavo vrtnine. Namreč naš končni izdelek združuje zaščito glave in korenino vrtnine. The purpose of the master's thesis was to research products for protecting vegetables from pests and other ways to stop pests in the garden and to create packaging for vegetables that will allow them to grow smoothly in the garden and prevent them from pests destroying them and also to be better than similar products on the market because it will protect the whole vegetable. It was important to include elements on the packaging that are easy to use and deliver a good user experience. The theoretical part presents some general information about the packaging and the material we will use. Then, we briefly present the vegetables that we will pack and their production, how the development takes place, and what all affects it. We then tell who the potential pests are and what their characteristics are. We add a few more ways that are used to protect vegetables from pests and to deter pests so far. Here are a few words about the planning and design of packaging and the requirements we have. We also did short research of products that are similar or similar in purpose and have similar properties as we wanted. We also analyzed and researched their shortcomings and certain elements that helped us to make and improve our packaging. The master's thesis deals with the entire process from the selection and testing of material to product design and the final product and the presentation of its network and elements. In the conclusion, all the elements of the packaging that make it special and the final product are presented. We decided to make packaging for protecting vegetables from pests because this issue is a topic of every gardener and we did not find any similar product suitable to provide enough protection for vegetable development because all products protected only the head of the vegetable and ours combines the protection of the head and roots of the vegetable.

17. Analiza in primerjava kozmetičnih embalaž

Embalaža je usklajen sistem, sestavljen iz kakršnihkoli materialov, ki se uporabljajo za pripravo blaga, zaščito izdelkov, transport, distribucijo, dostavo in predstavitev. Je pomemben dejavnik pri prodaji kozmetičnih izdelkov in močno vpliva na njihovo funkcionalnost ter prepoznavnost znamke. Kozmetična embalaža ima široko množino materialov, ki so v uporabi, vsak pa ima svoje prednosti in slabosti. Kljub temu so še danes uporabljene skoraj vse vrste embalaže, najmanj pa je lesene in tekstilne. Namen diplomskega dela je bila izdelava kozmetične embalaže, izdelane po principu ekološkega oblikovanja. Cilj naloge je bil načrtovati in izdelati embalažo, ki bo vključevala eko dizajn in na koncu dati smernice omenjenega oblikovanja za tovrstno embalažo. V diplomskem delu je predstavljena splošna embalaža, kozmetična embalaža in vrste njenih materialov. Prav tako so obravnavane prednosti in slabosti posameznega materiala, hkrati pa tudi razmislek kako izbrati pravi material. Narejena je bila analiza kozmetičnih embalaž naravno certificiranih in konvencionalnih znamk ter primerjava in opredelitev glede na Gutenbergov diagram in princip Gestalt. V eksperimentalnem delu so predstavljeni idejna zasnova za prototip škatel, izbrani materiali in izdelana prototipa ekološko naravnane parfumske embalaže in darilne embalaže z nekaj dodane vrednosti in grafične dodelave. V razpravi sta prototipa škatel še grafično predstavljena, opisani so problemi in izzivi pri izdelavi ter zapisane smernice za oblikovanje ekoloških embalaž. V zaključku diplomskega dela je ugotovitev, da izdelava embalaže od začetka do konca ni enostaven in hiter korak ter da je pomembnih veliko dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na končni izdelek. Opravljena so bila pridobivanja informacij iz podatkovnih zbirk Web of Science, DIKUL – Repozitorij UL, Espace Net in Scopus. Packaging is a coordinated system made up of all kinds of materials, used for the preparing goods, protection of products, transport, distribution, delivery and presentation. It is an important factor in the sale of cosmetic products and influences its functionality and brand recognition. Cosmetic packaging has a wide range of materials that are in use, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. Nevertheless, almost all packaging is still used today, the least being wooden and textile. The purpose of the diploma thesis was the production of cosmetic packaging, made according to the principle of ecological design. The aim of the task was to plan and produce packaging that will include eco-design and finally guidelines for the design for this type of packaging. The diploma thesis generally presents packaging, cosmetic packaging and types of its materials. The advantages and disadvantages of each material are also discussed, as well as how to choose the right material. An analysis of cosmetic packaging of naturally certified and conventional brands was made, as well as a comparison and definiton according to the Gutenberg diagram and the Gestalt principle. In the experimental part, the conceptual design of the prototype of the boxes, selected materials and the prototype of the ecologically oriented perfume packaging and gift packaging with some added value and graphic finishing are presented. In the discussion the prototypes of the boxes are also graphically presented, the problems and challenges in their production are described, and guidelines for the design of ecological packaging are written down. To conclude the diploma thesis it is stated that the production of packaging from the very beginning to the end is not an easy and quick step and that many factors that affect the final product are important. The information was obtained from the data collections like Web of Science, DIKUL – Repozitorij UL, Espace Net and Scopus.

Danes si dan brez uporabe družbenih omrežij zelo težko predstavljamo. Zaradi svoje razširjenosti so socialna omrežja postala osrednji kanal oglaševanja. Po tem se ravna tudi kozmetična industrija. V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali, kakšen vpliv imajo različne vrste embalaže na ciljno publiko in kolikokrat je posamezna vrsta embalaže vključena v oglasih. Predvsem nas je zanimalo, kateri oglasi publiko najbolj pritegnejo (in zakaj) in kakšno je mnenje oglaševalcev in oblikovalcev na izbrane oglase – primerjano z njihovo vsakodnevno prakso. V namen raziskovanja smo poiskali nekaj različnih oglasov in jim zaradi kupne moči odstranili blagovno znamko. Raziskovali smo na dva načina, z anketnim vprašalnikom za širšo publiko, s katerim smo analizirali, kateri oglasi so bolj privlačni in ali je pomembna tudi sekundarna embalaža. Drugi način raziskovanja predstavlja anketni vprašalnik za oblikovalce in oglaševalce. Ta je vseboval enaka vprašanja, le da smo se z vsakim vprašanim o vprašanju tudi pogovorili in ga širše utemeljili. Končali smo s smernicami, na kakšen način in kdaj je primerno na oglas umestiti katero embalažo. Today, it is pretty challenging to imagine a day without social networks. Thanks to their widespread use, social networks have become a central advertising channel. The cosmetics industry is also following suit. In the diploma thesis, we researched the impact of different types of packaging on the audience and how often each type of packaging is included in advertisements. In particular, we were interested in which ads attract the audience the most (and why) and the opinions of advertisers and designers on selected ads - compared to their daily practice. We used several different ads for the research and removed their brands due to their purchasing power. We researched two ways: with a survey questionnaire for a broader audience to analyze which ads are more attractive and whether secondary packaging is also essential. Another way of research is a survey questionnaire for designers and advertisers. This one contained the same questions, but we also discussed the issue with each respondent and substantiated it more broadly. We concluded with guidelines on how and when to place which packaging on the ad.

Učitelji se dnevno srečujejo z izzivom, kako otrokom v šoli ponuditi kvalitetne didaktične pripomočke. Te večinoma izdelujejo sami, saj jih na trgu ni veliko. V magistrski nalogi je predstavljeno načrtovanje, oblikovanje in izdelava didaktične igre za otroke, ki obiskujejo šolo z nižjim izobrazbenim standardom. Izdelana igra je uporabna za pomoč pri učenju in utrjevanju prepoznavanja glasov pri pouku slovenščine. Prav tako lahko z njo starši doma utrjujejo in dopolnjujejo otrokovo znanje prepoznavanja glasov. V teoretičnem delu je opredeljena ciljna skupina, ki jo predstavljajo otroci z lažjo motnjo v duševnem razvoju in njihovo govorno izražanje. Obravnavani so glavni vidiki družabnih iger, naredili smo pregled ilustracij v igrah, ki imajo terapevtski namen. Dotaknemo se tudi kapljičnega tiska in materialov, iz katerih so igre izdelane. Nalogo se zaključi z raziskavo trga. V eksperimentalnem delu je opisano načrtovanje didaktične igre, potek ilustriranja igre, priprava embalaže in elementov igre za tisk, pregled materialov, ki so bili uporabljeni za izdelavo prototipa igre, in priprava preglednice, ki je bila v pomoč pri testiranju igre v šoli. Rezultat zaključne naloge je didaktična igra vidim, slišim, povem, ki je bila uspešno testirana v šoli z otroki s posebnimi potrebami. Teachers face the daily challenge of providing quality educational (didactic) tools to children in school. They usually make them themselves, as there are not many on the market. The master's thesis is dealt with the planning, design and production of a didactic game for children with a lower educational standard attending school. The game we developed helps children learn and consolidate the recognition of voices in the Slovene language classes. It can also be used by parents at home to consolidate and develop their child's knowledge of voice recognition. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of the target group - children with mild intellectual disability - and their oral communication. The main aspects of board games are discussed and an overview of illustrations in games with therapeutic purpose is given. Inkjet printing and the materials used to make the games are aslo discussed. The paper with a market research was concluded. In the experimental part is described our planning of the didactic game, the process of illustrating the game, preparing the packaging and elements of the game for printing. The materials used to make a prototype of the game are presented, and a table to help in testing the game at school is prepared. The result of the work is a didactic game called "I see, I hear, I say", which was successfully tested in school on children with special needs.

Potiskana embalaža vsebuje kar nekaj tehničnih elementov, ki zagotavljajo pravilnost uporabljenega embalažnega elementa na pakirni liniji. To je zelo pomembno v živilski, farmacevtski industriji oz. povsod tam, kjer ne sme priti do napak pri pakiranju, ki so posledica zamenjave ali napačno natisnjenega embalažnega elementa. V našem podjetju se sama priprava oz. oprema embalažnih elementov izvaja v programskem paketu Adobe Illustrator. Ker gre za ponavljajoč in tudi točno tehnično določen postopek, nudi možnost avtomatizacije. Sama avtomatizacija bo bistveno pripomogla k boljši učinkovitosti, razbremenitvi zaposlenih in integriteti ključnih podatkov. Obdelal bom embalažni element zloženke, predstavil trenutni način dela in izboljšave procesa. V teoretičnem delu bom predstavil in opisal tiskane tehnične elemente, ki so pomembni na pakirnih linijah v našem podjetju. Praktični del pa bo konkretna programska rešitev avtomatizacije (JavaScript) v okolju Adobe Illustrator. Printed packaging materials contain quite a few technical elements that ensure the correctness of the packaging element used on the packaging line. This is very important in the food or pharmaceutical industry or wherever there should not be any packaging errors resulting from replaced or incorrectly printed packaging element. In our company, the graphic preparation of packaging material is implemented in the Adobe Illustrator software package. As it is a repetitive and also precisely technically defined process as such, it offers the possibility of automating these processes. Automation itself will significantly contribute to better efficiency, relieving employees and maintaining the integrity of key data. In this thesis, the process of the packaging element of the folding box is explained, and the current way of working and process improvements presented. The theoretical part presents and describes the printed technical elements that are important on the packaging lines in our company. The practical part will be a software solution in Adobe Illustrator.

Številna podjetja se vsakodnevno spopadajo s konkurenco na trgu, zato skušajo embalažo narediti privlačnejšo za kupce. Ker je v želji po dobičku potrebno uspešno krmariti med stroški in kakovostjo, je izbira ustrezne tiskarske tehnike odločilnega pomena za čim višjo dodano vrednost. Tehnika fleksotiska je na trgu konkurenčna predvsem zaradi možnosti tiska na fleksibilno embalažo. Kot eden od pogosto uporabljenih tiskovnih materialov je folija (ovojnina, ovoj za salame) iz različnih polimernih materialov. Podjetja zaradi nižjih stroškov izdelave in normativov spreminjajo izbiro materiala. Zaradi tega lahko pride do opaznih razlik v končnem videzu. V diplomskem delu nas je zanimalo, kako različen tiskovni material vpliva na končno tiskovno kakovost ter ali lahko uporabimo že izdelane tiskovne forme na različnih materialih in s tem prihranimo čas za izdelavo novih form ter se izognemo stroškom, ki bi pri tem nastali. V diplomskem delu smo izmerili barvne razlike izbrane šestbarvne grafike na originalnem in dveh testnih materialih ovojnin. Izmerili smo osnovne in optične lastnosti nepotiskanega materiala in izvedli meritve procesnih barv (CMYK) na potiskanem materialu, ki smo ga odtisnili s testnim oziroma kontrolnim klinom. Dobljene rezultate smo med seboj primerjali in jih opisali v preglednicah. Izvedli smo meritve za dve neprocesni barvi Pantone 116 C in Pantone 7599 C. Na koncu smo izvedli še hitre teste in podali ugotovitve. Pri meritvah barvnih razlik smo ugotovili, da se vzorci med seboj niso bistveno razlikovali. Pri vizualni primerjavi je prišlo do odstopanj pri vzorcu 2 Kalle NaloGrip 55 mat. Barve so bile na pogled blede, lisaste in neprivlačne, zato sklepamo, da material ni primeren za tisk na ovojnino. Poleg tega je dosegel tudi najslabše rezultate pri hitrih testih, zato ga vsekakor ne bi priporočali naročniku. Vzorec 1 Kalle NaloBar 55 sijaj je pri hitrih testih dosegel boljše rezultate od originalnega Podanfol materiala, zato menimo, da je primeren za tisk reprodukcije šestbarvne grafike. Ugotovili smo, da za tisk na testni vzorčni material lahko uporabimo že izdelano tiskovno formo, s tem pa prihranimo čas, ki bi ga potrebovali za izdelavo novih tiskovnih form, in stroške, ki bi pri implementaciji rešitev nastali. Many companies face competition in the market on a daily basis, so they try to make packaging as attractive as possible to customers. Since in the desire for profit it is necessary to navigate between cost and quality, the choice of the appropriate printing technique is crucial for the highest possible added value. The flexographic printing technique is competitive on the market mainly due to printing on flexible packaging. Foil packaging (salami wrap) made of various polymeric materials, is also used as one of the most frequently used printing materials. Companies are changing the choice of material due to lower manufacturing costs and norms. This can lead to noticeable differences in the final look. In this thesis work we were interested in how different printing material affects the final print quality and if we can use already made printing forms on different materials and save on the time of production of new forms and the costs that arise. In this thesis work, we measured the color differences of the selected six-color graphics on the original and two test packaging materials. We measured the basic and optical properties of the unprinted material and performed measurements of process colors (CMYK) on the printed material, which was preprinted with a tight or control wedge. The obtained results were compared with each other and described in the tables. We made measurements for the two non-process inks Pantone 116 C and Pantone 7599 C. In the end, we did various tests and made findings. When measuring color differences, we found that the patterns did not differ significantly from each other. In the visual comparison, there were deviations in sample 2 Kalle NaloGrip 55 mat. The colors look pale, mottled and unattractive and the material is unsuitable for printing on sausage casing. It also has the worst results in rapid tests and would not be recommended to the client. Sample 1 Kalle NaloBar 55 gloss has better results in quick tests than the original Podanfol material and would be recommended for printing reproductions of six-color graphics. We found that we can use an already made printing form for printing on test sample material. This saved us time and costs in the production of new printing forms.

Embalaža je pogosto neizkoriščen vir ustvarjanja vrednosti in prepoznavnosti blagovne znamke. Četudi je njen glavni namen zaščita izdelka je odlično orodje za informiranje in nagovarjanje potrošnika. Namen diplomskega dela je bil raziskati in analizirati področje embalaže za nakit in ugotovitve uporabiti za izdelavo lastne okrasne ter zaščitne embalaže. Delo obsega zasnovo ter izdelavo te embalaže, katere glavni namen je ustvarjanje dodatne vrednosti ter prepoznavnosti za naročnika. V prvem, teoretičnem delu je predstavljena embalaža na splošno, s poudarkom na embalaži za nakit. Sledi analiza znamke Timeless Style, za katero je potekala izdelava embalaže, s čimer je prepletena tudi teorija najpomembnejših oblikovnih elementov znamke. Analiza trga, konkurenčnih podjetij in njihovih embalaž predstavlja zadnji del teoretičnega dela diplomske naloge. V eksperimentalnem delu so predstavljeni embalažni materiali, tiskalnik ter rezalnik in programa, v katerih je potekalo delo, Engview Package & Display Designer ter Adobe Illustrator. Temu sledijo rezultati in razprava, kjer je opisan potek izdelave same embalaže. Potek obsega osnovno skiciranje, izris plaščev, izdelavo prototipov, digitalizacijo plaščev, izdelavo grafične podobe embalaže ter končni izdelek. Končni izdelek je embalaža v dveh delih. Zunanja, zaščitna škatla je narejena iz valovitega kartona gramature 400 g/m2, notranja oziroma okrasna, s promocijskim kartončkom vred, pa iz premazanega kartona gramature 300 g/m2. Rezultat diplomskega dela sta unikatna oblika ter grafična podoba embalaže, ki se skladata s potrebnimi funkcijami, ki so pomembne ob transportu, zaščiti ter dobri prezentaciji izdelka. Packaging is often an underutilized source of building a brand and brand awareness. Although its main purpose is the protection of its contents, it’s an excellent tool for informing and communicating something to the consumer. The purpose of this diploma thesis is researching and analyzing the industry of jewelry packaging and using the findings to create our own decorative and protective packaging. The thesis encompasses the formation and creation of this packaging, the main goal being to create additional value and brand recognition for the customer. Presented in the first, theoretical part, is packaging in general, with the emphasis on jewelry packaging. Following that is an analysis of the brand the packaging was created for, Timeless Style. This segment is intertwined with theory regarding the most important design elements of branding. The market analysis, as well as the analysis of competitive businesses and their packaging, constitutes the last segment of the theoretical part of the thesis. Packaging materials, the printer, the plotter cutter and the programs used, namely Engview Package & Display Designer and Adobe Illustrator, are all presented in the experimental part. The following chapters, results and discussion, describe the process of making the packaging. This encompasses the initial sketching, creating dielines, creating prototypes, digitalizing dielines, creating the design and the final product. The final product is a packaging consisting of two parts. The outer, protective packaging, is made out of corrugated cardboard with a grammage of 400 g/m². The inner, decorative packaging, with the promotional card included, is made out of coated cardboard with a grammage of 300 g/m². The unique shape and the design of the packaging fit well within the necessary functions required to transport, protect and adequately present the product.

V diplomskem delu je predstavljen proces oblikovanja embalaže in etikete za kraft pivo. Cilj je bil ustvariti preprosto embalažo, ki se lahko sestavi na preprost način in je še vedno funkcionalna. Pomembno nam je bilo dejstvo, da morata embalaža in etiketa vizualno na trgu izstopati od drugih in na tak način pritegniti pozitivno pozornost. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena embalaža, njeni nameni uporabe in funkcionalnost ter embalažni materiali. Opisane so tudi teoretične lastnosti etikete ter raziskane potrebne zakonodajne informacije, ki morajo biti zapisane na etiketah in embalažah. Na koncu je opisan tudi tisk. V eksperimentalnem delu je opisan postopek izbire materiala, opis posameznih metod dela, tehnika tiska ter razrez materiala. Določeni so bili tudi dejavniki, ki vplivajo tudi na grafično podobo, pod katere spadajo oblika, izbira barv, tipografija in dodatni grafični elementi. Z določitvijo teh dejavnikov in elementov smo lahko oblikovali grafično podobo in tako dobili končno podobo. Rezultat diplomskega dela je izdelana etiketa ter embalaža za kraft pivo, pripravljena za prodajni trg. The thesis presents the process of designing the packaging and label for kraft beer. The aim was to create a simple packaging that can be assembled in a simple way and still be functional. It was important to us that the packaging and the label should stand out visually in the market and thus attract positive attention. In the theoretical part we describe packaging, its uses and functionality as well as packaging materials. The theoretical properties of the label and explored the necessary legislative information that must be written on labels and packaging has been described. At the printing methods are also described. The experimental part describes the material selection process, the description of the different working methods, the printing technique and the cutting of the material. The factors that are important for the design such as the choice of colours, typography and additional graphic elements have been determined. By determining these factors and elements, we were able to design the graphic image and thus obtain the final image. The result of the thesis is a label and packaging for kraft beer, ready for the retail market.

Namen diplomskega dela je bil izdelati leseno embalažo in oblikovati ter natisniti pripadajoče etikete za označevanje sipkih živil. Hkrati je bil namen preveriti uporabnost lesene embalaže s pripadajočimi etiketami in določiti njihovo obstojnost na različne zunanje dejavnike. V ta namen so bili izdelani odtisi etiket in barvnih vzorcev osnovnih tiskarskih barv CMYK v treh digitalnih tehnikah tiska kapljičnem, UV kapljičnem in elektrofotografskem tisku. Ročno izdelan prototip lesene škatlice iz smrekovega lesa je potrdil, da je embalaža funkcionalna, primerne velikosti za uporabo in estetska. Etikete so oblikovane v različnih barvah, so različnih oblik in imajo različni grafični simbol in napis, ki ponazarja katero živilo se nahaja v embalaži. Barvnometrične meritve in meritve optične gostote so potrdile razlike med odtisi natisnjenimi z različnimi tehnikami tiska, kar je pokazala že vizualna ocena barvnih vzorcev CMYK. Kot najprimernejša tehnika tiska za izdelavo etiket se je tako izkazala elektrofotografija. Izvedeni so bili testi obstojnosti odtisov na suho drgnjenje, na svetlobo, na različne kemikalije ter na povišano vlago in temperaturo. Izvedba vizualne ocene, meritve optične gostote ter barvnometričnih vrednotenj barvnih vzorcev CMYK po opravljenih testih obstojnosti so pokazali, da je prišlo do majhnih barvnih razlik, v nekaterih primerih do dobro vidnih razlik, le izjemoma pa do velikih barvnih razllik. Odtisi so večinoma dobro obstojni na suho drgnjenje, vodo in kislino, manj na svetlobo, povišano vlago in temperaturo ter alkalije. Obstajajo pa razlike med posameznimi barvami in tehnikami tiska. UV kapljična tehnika tiska zagotavlja primerno kakovost tiska in daje podobne rezultate obstojnosti na zunanje dejavnike kot elektrofotografska tehnika tiska, in je zato prav tako primerna za tisk etiket kot elektrografija. The purpose of diploma thesis: Wooden box production for storing bulk foods and printing corresponding label, was to make wooden packaging and design and print corresponding labels for labeling bulk foods. At the same time we try to check the usability of wooden packaging with corresponding labels and also to define their resistance to various external factors. For that purpose we printed labels and color samples of basic printing colors CMYK in three different printing technologies: inkjet, UV inkjet and electrophotographic technology. Handmade prototype of wooden box made of spruce, confirmed that the packaging is functional, suitable for use and aesthetic. Labels are designed in different colors and different shapes with dedicated graphic symbol and sign which illustrates us which food is in the packaging. Colorimetric measurments and measurments of optical density confirmed differences between different printing technologies, as already shown by visual evaluation of CMYK color samples. With those results, electrophotography has proven to be the most suitable printing technique for printing labels. We also performed durability tests on the printed color labels. We performed: dry rub test, exposure to light test, exposure to different chemicals and exposure to higher level of moisture and temperature. Visual evaluation, optical density measurements and colorimetric evaluations of CMYK color samples after durability tests showed that there were small color differences, in some cases well visible differences, and only exceptionally large color differences. Prints have mostly good durability on dry rubbing, water and acid, a little less on light, higher moisture and temperature and alkali. However, there are differences between individual colors and printing techniques. UV inkjet printing technology ensures adequate print quality and gives us similar results of durability tests on various external factors as electrophotography, so it’s also suitable for printing labels.

V magistrskem delu z naslovom Načrtovanje in oblikovanje celostne grafične podobe za linijo funkcionalnih vod je načrtovana in oblikovana celostna grafična podoba za linijo funkcionalnih vod ter pomožni marketinški material, namenjen njeni promociji. V delu so opisane glavne značilnosti in osnovni elementi celostne grafične podobe, ki definirajo končni videz izdelka ter glavne značilnosti embalaže in njene funkcije. Celostna grafična podoba je bila zasnovana na podlagi rezultatov, pridobljenih s pomočjo analize po MaxDiff metodi, ki nam je podala jasne informacije o preferencah posameznikov in tako pripomogla k definiranju oblikovalskih izhodišč ter usmerjenemu oblikovanju izdelka. Rezultati analize so pokazali, da se ljudje vedno bolj zavedajo pomembnosti zdravja ljudi in dobrega počutja. Poleg tega pa se zavedajo tudi negativnih ekoloških vplivov na okolje, ki jih s prekomerno proizvodnjo in uporabo embalaže ustvarja človek. Želijo si okusnega in naravnega izdelka, ki je pakiran v priročni in okolju prijazni embalaži ter poleg tega omogoča tudi uporabo embalaže po izpraznitvi. Seveda si na embalaži želijo jasno podane informacije o izdelku. Rezultati analize in izsledki iz teoretičnega dela so nam bili v pomoč pri definiranju izhodišč za oblikovanje končnega izdelka in so nam služili kot vodilo za uspešno oblikovanje celostne grafične podobe, ki zadovolji želje in potrebe potencialnih kupcev, privabi njihovo pozornost in s tem pripomore k večji prepoznavnosti tovrstnih izdelkov. Zasnovali smo celostno podobo izdelka, ki skozi vizualno podobo, ki vključuje izbiro ustrezne barvne sheme, pisave in ostalih grafičnih elementov, jasno podaja informacije o izdelku in njegovem namenu. The paper describes the main characteristics and basic elements of the corporate identity, which define the final appearance of the product and the main characteristics of the packaging and its function. The corporate identity was designed based on the results obtained by the MaxDiff method analysis, which gave us clear information about the preferences of individuals and thus helped to define the starting points for design and targeted the product design. The results of the analysis showed that people are increasingly aware of the importance of human health and well-being. In addition, it showed that they are aware of the negative ecological impacts created by man through the excessive production and use of packaging. People desire a tasty, natural product that is packaged in convenient and environmentally friendly packaging, which also allows them to re-use the packaging. In addition, they want clearly stated product information on the packaging. The results of the analysis and the results from the theoretical part helped us to define the starting points for the design of the final product and served as a guide for the successful design of a corporate identity that satisfies the desires and needs of potential customers, attracts their attention, and thus contributes to greater visibility of such products. We have designed a corporate image that clearly provides information about the product and its purpose through a visual image that includes the selection of a suitable color schemes, typefaces, and other graphic elements.

Namen magistrskega dela je bil, s pomočjo analize ugotoviti, katera vrsta in oblika embalaže se potrošniku zdi najprimernejša za leseni nakit. Glede na dobljene rezultate je bilo potrebno oblikovati embalažo, ki je morala biti na željo naročnika okolju prijazna. V teoretičnem delu je najprej na splošno predstavljena embalaža ter razvrščanje te glede na embalažni material. Podrobneje so predstavljeni ekološki materiali, kot so papir, les in tekstil. Opisane so funkcije embalaže ter njeno razvrščanje glede na namen uporabe. Predstavljeno je tudi oblikovanje okolju prijazne embalaže, ki ima v današnjem času zelo pomembno vlogo. Ker je želja oblikovati embalažo, ki je primerna za pošiljanje po pošti, so opisani tudi dejavniki poškodb pakiranih izdelkov. V nalogi je nadalje predstavljena znamka naročnika Woodastic, njihova obstoječa embalaža ter njihova celostna grafična podoba. V eksperimentalnem delu smo se osredotočili na analizo konkurenčnih izdelkov tj. nakita. Raziskali smo slovenski in tudi tuji trg ter proučili oblike in materiale embalaže, v katerih konkurenti ponujajo svoje izdelke. Na podlagi analize konkurenčnih ponudnikov lesenega nakita smo določili tiste materiale in oblike embalaže, ki bi bile primerne za izdelke Woodastic. Da bi izmed izbranih embalaž lahko selekcionirali tiste, ki bi bile najbolj uporabne za naročnikove lesene izdelke, smo uporabili metodo MaxDiff, ki je podrobneje predstavljena v nalogi. S pomočjo rezultatov analize embalaže konkurenčnih izdelkov ter rezultatov analize MaxDiff smo izbrali preferenčni material in obliko embalaže, primerne za izdelke Woodastic. Na podlagi pridobljenih ugotovitev ter z manjšimi modifikacijami, smo izdelali končni prototip embalaže za izdelke znamke Woodastic. The purpose of the master's thesis was, with the help of analysis to determine which type and form of packaging, the consumer finds most suitable for wooden jewelry. The packaging had to be designed and made based on the obtained results. It also had to be enviromentally friendly at the request of the client. The theoretical part first presents the packaging in general and its classification according to the packaging material. Organic materials such as paper, wood and textile packaging are presented in more detail. The functions of the packaging and its classification according to the purpose of use are described. The design of environmentally friendly packaging, which plays a very important role nowadays, is also presented. Since the desire is, to design packaging that is suitable for mailing, the factors of damage to packaged products are also described. The thesis further presents the brand of the client Woodastic, the appearance of their existing packaging and their overall graphic image. In the experimental part, we focused on the analysis of competing products, ie. jewelry. We researched the Slovenian and foreign markets and examined the shapes and materials of packaging whose competitors offer their products. Based on the analysis of competing wooden jewelry providers, we determined those packaging materials and shapes that would be suitable for Woodastic products. In order to be able to select from the selected packaging models and those that would be most useful for the client's wooden products, we used the MaxDiff analysis. The method is presented in more detail in the paper itself. From the results of the packaging analysis of competing products and the results of the MaxDiff analysis, we came to the preferred material and form of packaging, suitable for Woodastic products. Based on the findings and with small modifications, we made the final prototype of packaging for wooden products of the Woodastic brand.

Ena od številnih posledic hitre globalizacije sveta je potreba po ažurnem pošiljanju produktov na daljše razdalje. Pri zagotavljanju njihovega varnega transporta glavno vlogo igra embalaža. Izbira ustreznega materiala je ključnega pomena za zagotavljanje zadovoljivega blaženja med distribucijo. V nalogi smo predstavili nekatere izmed najpogosteje uporabljenih embalažnih materialov, namen naloge je pridobiti njihove blažilne krivulje ter primerjati le-te. Podatke smo pridobili eksperimentalno, s pomočjo programa LabView, jih obdelali v Pyhton-u ter prikazali v Excel-u. Prikazani podatki so potrdili dobre blažilne lastnosti ekspandiranega polistirena. Pokazali smo tudi, da se lahko tem lastnostim približamo tudi ob uporabi papirnate embalaže, v kolikor je ta ustrezno oblikovana. One of the many consequences of the rapid globalization of the world is the need for up-to-date long-distance product shipments. Packaging plays a major role in ensuring their safe transport and the choice of the appropriate material is crucial to ensure satisfactory cushioning during transportation. In this paper, we present some of the most used packaging materials, with the aim of obtaining their cushion curves and comparing them. The data were obtained experimentally, with the help of LabView, processed in Pyhton and analyzed in Excel. The analysis confirmed the good cushioning properties of expanded polystyrene. We have also shown that we can achieve these properties even when using paper packaging if it is properly designed.

V diplomskem delu bomo skušali predstaviti pripravo, pakiranje in potrebno dokumentacijo za izvoz blaga iz izbranega podjetja. Namen diplomskega dela je izbrati primerne materiale, ki so okolju prijazni, in pripraviti tovor na izvoz, pri tem pa skrajšati čas manipulacij med pripravo tovora. V prvem delu bomo predstavili nekaj teoretičnih osnov, ki se navezujejo na našo nalogo in so ključnega pomena za teme pakiranja, manipuliranja in dokumentacije, ki jih potrebujemo. V diplomskem delu bodo predstavljene potrebne dokumentacije treh različnih vrst prevoza, in sicer gre za potrebno dokumentacijo za cestni promet, zračni promet in pomorski promet. S pomočjo pridobljenega teoretičnega znanja in pridobljenega znanja skozi praktično usposabljanje in zaposlitev v podjetju bomo predstavili dejansko stanje in način pakiranja ter manipuliranja. Na koncu diplomskega dela bomo podali kritično analizo in predlog rešitve za opisani problem. Končni cilj diplomskega dela je podati najboljšo rešitev glede na način pakiranja in uporabo pravih materialov, ki so okolju prijazni, skrajšati čas pakiranja in uskladiti proces manipuliranja ter pakiranja. In this diploma paper of the higher education programme at the Faculty of Logistics, we will try to present the preparation, packaging and necessary documentation to export goods from the chosen company. The purpose of the diploma paper is to choose more appropriate materials, which are environmentally friendly, and to prepare the cargo for export while reducing the time of cargo handling during cargo preparation. In the theoretical part we will present the theoretical bases that are related to our paper and are crucial to the topic of packaging, cargo handling and documentation that we need. In the diploma paper we will present the necessary documentation in three different modes of transport, namely the necessary documentation for road transport, air transport and maritime transport. With the help of the acquired knowledge at the Faculty of Logistics, as well as the acquired knowledge through practical training and working in the company, we will present the actual state and manner of packaging and cargo handling. At the end of the diploma paper we will give a critical analysis and suggest a solution to the problem described. The purpose of the diploma paper is to give the best solution in terms of the packaging method and the use of the right materials that are environmentally friendly, shorten the packing time and coordinate the process of cargo handling and packaging.

Z embalažo se srečujemo vsakodnevno in skoraj na vsakem koraku. Čeprav je bila embalaža sprva namenjena zgolj varovanju izdelka, danes opravlja še številne druge funkcije, kot so distribucijska, informacijska, prodajna, okoljska, identifikacijska, tehnološka funkcija ter funkcija ekonomičnosti in praktičnosti. V diplomskem delu smo oblikovali embalažo za izdelke blagovne znamke MISIMI design, ki predstavlja rokovnike in dodatke za rokovnike, kot so na primer nalepke, sponke, samolepilni lističi in kemični svinčniki. Embalaža je oblikovana tako, da varuje pakiran izdelek pred morebitnimi poškodbami, je enostavna za odpiranje in s pomočjo grafičnih elementov lahko takoj identificiramo, za katero blagovno znamko gre. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo se osredotočili na opredelitev embalaže in njenih funkcij, predstavili smo posamezne elemente embalaže, preko katerih le-ta na neverbalen način komunicira s potrošniki in katere embalažne materiale lahko najdemo na tržišču, pri čemer smo podrobneje predstavili papirno in kartonsko embalažo. Na koncu smo preverili še stanje embalaž za rokovnike na slovenskem trgu. Na podlagi vseh zbranih informacij smo se nato lotili načrtovanja in oblikovanja lastne embalaže. V eksperimentalni del smo vključili opis posameznih metod dela, materiale, ki smo jih uporabili in kratek opis blagovne znamke MISIMI design. V diplomskem delu je predstavljen tudi postopek načrtovanja embalaže, in sicer od začetnih skic, preko načrtovanja v programu EngView Package & Display Designer Suite in navsezadnje končni izdelek, ki v celoti lepo zajema bistvo blagovne znamke. Končni rezultat diplomskega dela je, po našem mnenju, vizualno privlačna embalaža in njena izdelava. We encounter packaging daily and at almost every turn. Even though the packaging was originally intended only to protect the product, today it performs many other functions, such as distribution, information, sales, identification, practicality, as well as environmental, technological, and economic functions. In the diploma thesis, we designed the packaging for products of the MISIMI design brand, which presents planners and accessories for them, such as stickers, paper clips, sticky notes, and pens. The packaging is designed to protect the packaged product from damage, is easy to open and easily identifiable with the help of graphic elements. In the theoretical part of the diploma thesis we focus on the definition of packaging and its functions, we present individual elements of packaging, through which it communicates with customers in a non-verbal way. We also present which packaging materials can be found on the market with emphasis on paper and cardboard packaging. Finally, we analysed the Slovenian market for packaging for planners. Based on all the information obtained, we began designing our packaging. In the experimental part we included the description of individual methods and materials used in the design of the package, and a brief description of the MISIMI design brand. In the diploma thesis, we also presented the package design process, from the initial sketches to designing in the program., The final result of the diploma thesis is the production of the final product a visually attractive packaging, which completely captures the essence of the brand.

38. Polietilenska folija izdelana iz recikliranega polimera

Plastično embalažo srečujemo vsak dan, nam najbližje so plastične vrečke, ki jih najdemo v vseh trgovinah, sestavina teh vrečk pa je polietilen. Diplomsko delo obravnava polietilensko folijo, izdelano iz recikliranega polietilena nizke gostote (LDPE). V raziskavo sta bili vključeni foliji, izdelani iz recikliranega in primarnega LDPE ter sekanci recikliranega LDPE. V uvodnem delu so predstavljeni statistični podatki o količini odpadne embalaže v Sloveniji in Evropski uniji, v nadaljevanju je predstavljena embalaža iz polietilena, opisane so lastnosti, pridobivanje in uporaba LDPE. Teoretični del zajema tudi recikliranje embalaže, podrobneje je opisan postopek recikliranja polietilenske embalaže. V eksperimentalnem delu so z uporabo različnih metod preiskav opravljene analize sekanca in folije, izdelane iz recikliranega in primarnega LDPE. Na podlagi rezultatov meritev tališča in FTIR spektroskopije je bilo ugotovljeno, da reciklirana folija vsebuje le LDPE, druge vrste polimerov pa ne. Analiza tehnoloških lastnosti kaže, da se foliji, izdelani iz primarnega in recikliranega polimera, razlikujeta, in sicer v masi in debelini, v reciklirani foliji so vidni vključki, nečistoče, to pa kažejo tudi rezultati meritev hrapavosti folij. Določene so bile tudi mehanske lastnosti folije, in sicer v obeh smereh, vzdolžni in prečni. Rezultati meritev nateznih lastnosti in sile nadaljnjega trganja so pokazali, da se foliji nekoliko razlikujeta v mehanskih lastnostih in da ima folija iz primarnega LDPE večinoma boljše mehanske lastnosti. We come across plastic packaging every day, the closest we get are the plastic bags found in all stores. The component of these bags is polyethylene. The thesis deals with polyethylene foil made from recycled low density polyethylene (LDPE). The study included foils made from recycled and primary LDPE and granulate from recycled LDPE. The introductory part presents statistics on the amount of packaging waste in Slovenia and the European Union, the following part presents polyethylene packaging, describes the properties, production and use of LDPE. The theoretical part also covers the recycling of packaging, the recycling process for polyethylene packaging is described in more detail. In the experimental work, using the various methods of investigation, the performed granulate and foil analyzes were made, from recycled and primary LDPE. Based on the results of the melting point and FTIR spectroscopy measurements, it was found that the recycled film contains only LDPE and no other polymer types. The analysis of the technological properties shows that the films made of primary and recycled polymer differ in mass and thickness, inclusions, impurities are visible in the recycled film, as well as the results of measurements of the film roughness. The mechanical properties of the foil were determined in both directions, longitudinal and transverse. The results of measurements of tensile properties and tearing strength showed that the films differ slightly in mechanical properties and that the primary LDPE film generally has better mechanical properties.

Vizualni vidik kozmetične embalaže ima glavno vlogo pri komunikaciji podjetja s potrošniki. Poleg estetskih značilnosti, ki prepričajo v nakup, mora embalaža zagotavljati tudi vse z zakonom določene informacije o proizvajalcu, izdelku in pravilni ter varni rabi izdelka. Ker so kozmetični izdelki običajno relativno majhni, se določeni podatki lahko zapišejo v obliki oznak. V diplomskem delu nas zanima, kako poznane so te oznake med potrošniki ter katere lastnosti izdelka ali same embalaže najbolj vplivajo na nakup izdelka. Pred začetkom raziskovanja smo postavili hipoteze, ki smo jih želeli potrditi ali ovreči. V teoretičnem delu smo se najprej spoznali z zakonodajo o zapisu podatkov na kozmetičnih izdelkih ter najpogostejšimi oznakami, ki jih najdemo na embalaži. V nadaljevanju smo želeli raziskati, katere so lastnosti izdelkov in embalaže, ki so v očeh potrošnika najpomembnejše kako dobro kupci sploh poznajo oznake na kozmetičnih izdelkih in kako hitro najdejo določene informacije na embalaži. Pri raziskovanju smo poleg ankete uporabili tudi tehnologijo za sledenje očesnim premikom. S tem smo med drugim omogočili tudi natančen vpogled v čas, ki ga potrebujejo za iskanje različnih podatkov na embalaži. V diplomski nalogi smo ugotovili, katere lastnosti embalaže najbolj vplivajo na nakup in kako pomembni so kupcem material embalaže, oblikovanje, cena izdelka, certifikati in oznake. The visual aspects of cosmetic packaging are highly important for communication between brands and consumers. Besides the aesthetic features which convince consumers into purchasing a product, packaging must also provide information about distributers, product itself and save usage of it. Since cosmetics are generally small, certain information can be displayed as a pictogram. In this diploma we wanted to find out how known are these labels among the consumers and which features of the product or the packaging influence the purchase of the product the most. Before starting the research, we set out hypotheses which we try to confirm or decline through our work. In the theoretical part, we define regulations for cosmetic products and describe the most common pictograms found on cosmetic packaging. In the following experimental part we explore which features of products and packaging are the most important in the eye of the consumer how aware are people of pictograms on cosmetic packaging and their meanings and how quickly they find specific information on the packaging. In addition to the survey, we also used eye tracking technology for our research. This allowed us to study the eye gaze of test subjects and get a precise insight into the time needed to find different information on the packaging. This diploma outlines basic guidelines for cosmetic packaging design and finds some effective and ineffective ways to display information on packaging. We defne which packaging characteristics influence the purchase the most and how important are packaging materials, design of the product, it‘s price, certificates and similar properties to the average consumer.

V diplomski nalogi so opisane značilnosti prevoza nevarnega blaga v cestnem prometu in zahteve, ki morajo biti izpolnjene pri organizaciji in sami izvedbi prevoza. V prvem poglavju, tj. uvodu, so opisani tematika, namen in cilji diplomske naloge. V drugem poglavju je predstavljena zakonodaja, ki ureja to področje, kjer je opisan in predstavljen Evropski sporazum o mednarodnem cestnem prevozu nevarnega blaga ⠒ ADR, predstavljene so dolžnosti posameznikov v prevoznem procesu, pomen usposabljanja voznikov itd. Zahteve, ki morajo biti izpolnjene pri prevozu nevarnega blaga, simboli, embalaže, oznake ter potrebne listine, pa so opisane v tretjem poglavju diplomske naloge. V četrtem poglavju je predstavljena organizacija prevoza nevarnega blaga skozi tri tehnološke faze, opisan pa je tudi praktični primer izvedbe cestnega prevoza nevarnega blaga. Peto poglavje diplomske naloge govori o nesrečah pri prevozu nevarnega blaga v cestnem prometu. Na podlagi proučenega in zapisanega je na koncu diplomske naloge podan zaključek, ki je zapisan v šestem poglavju. The diploma thesis analyses and describes the distinctive features of the carriage of dangerous goods in road transport. The carriage of dangerous goods is a very complex field of expertise as it is regulated by numerous regulations, which are thoroughly described in this diploma thesis. The biggest challenge in the carriage of dangerous goods is how to implement the required regulations in practice, while still ensuring a high level of transport safety. With a gradual analysis of the literature, I acquired a vast amount of knowledge of tackling the issues considering the carriage of dangerous goods, the technical requirements of vehicles which have to be fulfilled, the laws, markings, and above all the obligations of participants in the carriage process. The acquired knowledge will serve me well in my future work. I would like to thank assist. prof. Razbremenilna logistika skrbi za ostanke in odpadke, ki nastajajo v vseh poslovnih procesih znotraj podjetja, oziroma v nabavnem procesu, proizvodnji ter distribuciji izdelkov. Naloga razbremenilne logistike je predvsem upoštevanje ekonomskih in ekoloških ciljev, zbiranje, sortiranje in ločevanje odpadkov in ostankov, recikliranje, zbiranje in deponiranje ostankov in odpadkov ter ustrezno skladiščenje, manipuliranje in transport le teh. Pomen razbremenilne logistike z razvojem izdelkov in vse zahtevnejšo ekološko zakonodajo hitro narašča. Vpliv razbremenilne logistike na proizvodna podjetja in njen pomen pri poslovanju podjetij bomo pokazali na primeru podjetja Oblak Group, d. o. o., ki se ukvarja s proizvodnjo betonskih izdelkov. Logistics is the process of managing flows of materials from the source of creation to the final consumer and covers the physical flow of material and information from the supplier, through the producer and trader to the final consumer, and also includes the storage of materials, raw materials, intermediate products and finished products. It consists of several logistics subsystems with the aim of providing the delivery of the right goods and services, in the right place, in the right quantity and quality, at the right time and with the lowest costs and environmental impacts. Reverse logistics takes care of residues in waste that are present in all business processes in companies, or in the process of preparing, manufacturing and distributing products. The task of reverse logistics is primarily in the economic and ecological sense, collection, sorting and separation of waste in the supply, recycling, collection and appropriate disposal.

V diplomskem delu obravnavamo temo karakteristik ter zahtev embalaže, ki jo uporabljamo oziroma potrebujemo pri spletni prodaji izdelkov tako na domačem trgu kot tudi globalno. Priča smo nenehni rasti spletne prodaje, ki ponekod po številu opravljenih nakupov v spletni trgovini že presega količino nakupov v fizičnih prodajalnah. S tako strmo rastjo te vrste poslovanja pa se pojavlja tudi potreba po embaliranju teh izdelkov ter ustrezni pripravi naročila za transport. Embalaža izdelkov pri tej vrsti poslovanja predstavlja tako strateško področje logistike kot tudi velik kazalnik okoljske problematike zaradi odpadne embalaže. Spletni trgovci morajo zagotoviti popolno varnost transportiranega naročila, saj le uspešno ter varno dostavljen izdelek v popolnem stanju pri tem tipu poslovanja predstavlja uspešno opravljen posel, posledično zadovoljstvo stranke ter morebiten ponovni nakup. Glede na pridobljene rezultate ankete je smiselno poudariti dejstvo, da se kupci premalo zavedajo pomembnosti embalaže ter njenih lastnosti, saj jih je večina odgovorila, da je embalaža srednje pomemben del naročenega izdelka. Na podatek, da pa se večina respondentov ankete zaveda, v kakšni embalaži je blago prispelo, ampak se tudi v takem obsegu ne zmeni za pomembnost reciklaže materiala embalaže ter možnosti priročnejšega odpiranja, ki bi omogočilo morebitno ponovno uporabo take škatle ali vrečke ter posledično zmanjšanje odpadne embalaže. Poudariti je potrebno še ugotovitev, da po mnenju respondentov ter podatkov iz drugih virov najpomembnejšo lastnost embalaže za spletno prodajo predstavlja zagotavljanje varnosti vsebine med transportom, zato je treba izdelke embalirati v kakovostno izdelano in dizajnirano embalažo, ki bo kljubovala raznim razmeram distribucije. Za zagotovitev take varnosti pa se uporabljajo dodatna zaščitna sredstva, najpomembnejšo vlogo pa predstavljajo testiranja, ki predhodno že zagotovijo, da bo izdelek varno prispel v kupčeve roke, vendar se z uvajanjem Amazonovega načina embaliranja (embalaža brez frustracije) zmanjšuje tudi potreba po dodatnih zaščitnih sredstvih. This thesis deals with the topic of characteristics and requirements of packaging that we use or need when selling products online, both domestically and globally. We are witnessing the continuous growth of online sales, which is already exceeding the amount of purchases made in physical stores by the number of purchases made in the online store. With such a steep growth in this type of business, there is also a need to package these products and prepare the transport order accordingly. Product packaging in this type of business is both a strategic area of logistics and a major indicator of environmental issues due to packaging waste. Online retailers need to ensure the complete security of the transported order, since only a successfully and safely delivered product in perfect condition, with this type of business, represents a successful transaction, and consequently customer satisfaction and possible re-purchase. Considering the results of the survey, it is reasonable to point out the fact the customers are not aware enough about the importance of packaging and its properties, since most of them answered that packaging is a medium part of the ordered product. While most respondents are aware of the packaging of the goods, they are not aware of the importance of recycling the packaging material and of the possibility of opening it more conveniently, which would allow the reuse of such a box or bag and consequently reduce the packaging waste. It should be emphasized that, according to the respondents and data from other sources, the most important feature of packaging for online sales is ensuring the safety of content during transportation, so products must be packaged in quality-produced and designed packaging that will withstand various conditions of distribution. Additional safeguards are used to ensure such security, and testing plays a major role in guaranteeing the product arrives safely in the customer's hands, but with the introduction of Amazon's packaging method (frustration-free packaging), the need for additional safeguards is also reduced.

Diplomsko delo obsega predstavitev nove proizvodne linije s kodnim imenom CT07 v podjetju BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje. Na tej liniji se bo proizvajala nova naprava Cook Processor. Podrobneje spoznamo sistem svetlobnega vodenja embaliranja oz. »pick-to-light« sistem. Za sistem se je uporabil krmilnik Unitronics Vision430 in ustrezni razširitveni pretvornik ter razširitveni modul. Za potrebe sistema je bil izdelan uporabniški vmesnik, ki ga lahko nastavljamo s pomočjo zaslona na dotik. Podrobneje so predstavljene komponente, ki so bile uporabljene pri izgradnji sistema. Predstavljen je tudi rezultat, ki je bil dosežen v poizkusnih serijah na liniji. The thesis includes the presentation of a new production line with a code name CT07 at BSH Household appliances d.o.o. Nazarje. This line will produce a newly developed Cook Processor device. We present the details about the light management system of packaging named Pick-to light. The Unitronics Vision 430 controller and the corresponding expansion converter and expansion module were used for the system. For the needs of the system, a user interface has been created that can be adjusted using the touch screen. The components that were used to build the system are presented in a greater detail. The result obtained during the experimental series on the line is also presented.

Predmet diplomske naloge je oblikovanje osnovne pasje opreme. Glavni cilj naloge je olajšati nakupovanje najnujnejše pasje opreme, ki jo potrebuje prav vsak mladič ali odrasel pes. S tem bo bodoči lastnik prihranil na času, se izognil stresu in težkim odločitvam med nakupovanjem in dobil funkcionalno ter hkrati dobro oblikovano opremo za svojega ljubljenčka. Na tržišču je veliko pripomočkov za hišne ljubljenčke, ampak so le redko oblikovani kot set linije izdelkov. Funkcionalen in oblikovno dovršen paket GooDog vsebuje posodici za vodo in hrano, ovratnico, povodec, igračo in priročnik za nove lastnike psov. Projektno delo, predstavljeno v nadaljevanju, obsega raziskavo o psih in njihovih glavnih pripomočkih, razvoj linije izdelkov za psa, oblikovanje podobe paketa ter celostno grafično podobo. This bachelor’s thesis deals with the problem of an overwhelmed and confused future dog owner in pet shops. The main objective of the project is to help new owner by facilitating the purchase of essential dog equipment for the puppy or an adult dog. The proposed solution would help the owner save time and stress, and ease the purchase of functional and well-designed equipment for basic needs of his or her pet. Pet accessories market is rich, but lacks of purposely designed set of products. GooDog is a functional and thoughfully designed package containing bowls for water and food, a collar, a leash, a toy and a manual with tips for a new dog owner. The following project work includes the research survey of dogs and their main accessories, a development overview of the set of products, the design process of a package and a graphic identity of the project.

Izdelek velikokrat potrebuje precej časa, da pride od npr. tovarne proizvajalca do našega gospodinjstva, saj vmes zamenja več prostorov z različnimi higienskimi pogoji, prav tako pa se menjajo vplivi zunanjega okolja (temperatura, vlaga, rokovanje z izdelki ipd.). Vse našteto so odlične priložnosti za onesnaženje izdelkov z žuželkami in mikrobi, ki lahko povzročijo velike materialne in posledično tudi finančne izgube. Naš raziskovalni problem je bil vdor žuželk v embalažo. Z uporabo primernih materialov, oblik in drugih dejavnikov lahko dosežemo zmanjšanje morebitne škode, kar je v korist tako proizvajalcu na eni strani kot končnemu uporabniku na drugi strani, vmes pa prodajalcem kot veznim členom med obema stranema. Pomagamo si lahko na različne načine, med drugim z uporabo obešank, etiket in drugih izdelkov, ki s pomočjo aktivnih učinkovin odganjajo žuželke. Ti izdelki ne kvarijo izgleda okolja, v katerem se nahajajo, temveč ga s svojim izgledom polepšajo in diskretno opravljajo svoje delo. V magistrski nalogi je obravnavan celoten potek od načrtovanja in oblikovanja izdelkov, izbire ustreznega materiala, priprave in nanosa repelenta do testiranja učinkovitosti premazov, ki smo jih nanesli na obešanke in etikete. Predstavljene so tudi dosedanje študije na področju eteričnih olj v povezavi z embalažo uporabljeno v prehrambni industriji. Test učinkovitosti premazov se je izvajal na italijanski univerzi Molise, trajal je 30 dni, uporabili pa so primerke koruznega žužka. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da so bili naši izdelki, na katere je bil nanesen repelentni premaz, ki je vseboval eterično olje bazilike in rožmarina, uspešen. Narejeno je bilo manj škode, saj je prišlo do manj vdorov v primerjavi s kontrolnimi primerki. Največjo uspešnost je dosegel premaz z eteričnim oljem bazilike. Naše obešanke in etikete torej dokazano zmanjšujejo škodo, ki jo lahko povzročijo žuželke in tako preprečujejo neželene finančne stroške. Poleg tega lahko polepšajo dom, zaradi svojega naravnega izvora in načina delovanja pa so prijazni do ljudi, živali in okolja. The product often needs a lot of time to come from, for example, the manufacturer's factory to our household, as it interchanges several spaces with different hygienic conditions, as well as the effects of the external environment (temperature, humidity, handling of products, etc.). All these are an excellent opportunities for contaminating products, mainly with insects (and microbes), which can cause enormous material and, consequently, financial losses. Our research problem was the invasion of insects into packaging or materials. By using suitable materials, shapes and other factors, we can achieve a reduction in possible damage, which is in favor of both the manufacturer on the one hand and the end user on the other hand, and also grocery stores as a link between the two. We can try to get rid of or minimize the problem in several ways, by using various hangers, labels and other products that use insect repellent with active ingredients. These products do not need to »spoil« the appearance of the environment in which they are located, but they can even beautify and discreetly perform their work with their pleasant appearance. The master's thesis deals with the entire course of designing products, selecting a suitable material and applying a repellent, to testing the effectiveness of coatings applied to hangers and stickers. Present studies in the field of essential oils in connection with packaging used in the food industry are also presented. The coating performance test was carried out at the Italian University of Molise. The test lasted for 30 days, using the specimens of Maize weevil. It has been found that our graphic products on which a repellent coating containing basil or rosemary essential oil was applied, was successful, as less damage was done compared to control products. The highest performance was achieved by the basil essential oil. Our hangers and stickers are thus proven to reduce the damage that can be caused by insects to prevent unwanted financial costs. In addition, they can beautify our home, and due to their natural origin and the way they work, they are friendly to people, animals and the environment.

49. Razvoj ekološke darilne embalaže za naravno kozmetiko

Glavni namen diplomskega dela je bil izdelati ekološko darilno embalažo za naravno kozmetiko. V teoretičnem delu smo se poglobili v osnove embalaže, trajnostnega razvoja in ekološkega oblikovanja. Na prošnjo za sodelovanje se je odzvalo podjetje SkinFairytale, zato smo predstavili tudi njih in raziskali trg oziroma njihove konkurente. Na voljo so nam ponudili tri produkte, ki smo jih potem vključili v darilno embalažo. Zanjo smo uporabili visokogramski papir oziroma karton iz japonskega dresnika. Slednjemu smo sprva analizirali osnovne, mehanske in površinske lastnosti ter jih primerjali z lastnostmi komercialnega belega kartona. Kljub temu, da je bil slednji glede na analizirane lastnosti bolj primeren za izdelavo embalaže, smo za izdelavo embalaže uporabili visokogramski papir iz japonskega dresnika, saj je ta bolj ekološki. Poleg te prednosti smo porabili manj tiskarske barve, skušali porabiti manj materiala, embalažo pa smo vseeno ohranili estetsko. Končno embalažo smo načrtovali v programu Adobe Illustrator, jo natisnili na UV kapljičnem tiskalniku in jo izrezali na rezalniku. Pri zadnjih dveh korakih izdelave smo zaradi slabše kvalitete materiala naleteli na nekaj težav, pa vendar smo na koncu prišli do ustreznega rezultata, ki je ekološka darilna embalaža za naravno kozmetiko. The main purpose of this thesis was to develop ecological gift packaging for natural cosmetics. In the theoretical part we deepen the knowledge about the basics of the packaging, sustainable development, and green graphic design. We included a market research for a company named SkinFairytale, who, responded to our request for collaboration. They offered us three products, which we included in our final gift packaging. We used high grammage paper or cardboard, from Japanese knotweed. We used some of the test methods for different properties of materials. The results of the paper have been compared to the results of white commercial cardboard, which served us only for a comparison. According to the analyzed properties, white cardboard was more suitable for the production of packaging. However, we still decided to use paper from Japanese knotweed, because it is more environmentally friendly. In addition to ecological material, we used less printing ink and tried to use less material, but still kept the design of the packaging. The final packaging was designed in Adobe Illustrator, printed on a UV ink-jet printer cut on a cutter. Due to the poor quality of the paper, we encountered some problems in the last two steps. Nevertheless, in the end we came to a result, which is - ecological gift packing for natural cosmetics.

Embalaža in njena grafična podoba sta zelo pomembna člena pakiranega izdelka. Marsikdaj povezujemo izdelek z njegovim pakiranjem, saj je to prva stvar, ki jo pri nakupu opazimo. Embalaža daje kupcem predstavo o izdelku, podjetju in blagovni znamki, zato mora biti ustrezno načrtovana in oblikovana. Predvsem za nove izdelke na trgu je pomembno, da embalaža pove neko zgodbo in kupca prepriča že na prvi pogled. V diplomskem delu smo se posvetili oblikovanju embalaže za mobilne telefone. Pri izbiranju mobilnega telefona se kupci sicer ne odločajo za nakup na podlagi embalaže, vendar mora biti ta še vedno primerna, zanimiva in privlačna na pogled. Izdelali smo embalažo, ki se razlikuje od preostalih embalaž na trgu, saj je večnamenska in nudi trajnostno uporabo. V prvem delu diplomskega dela je razložen pojem embalaža ter podani opis njenih funkcij, embalažni materiali, tisk in programi, s pomočjo katerih smo pripeljali embalažo do končnega izdelka. Pregledali smo tudi nekaj embalaž mobilnih telefonov, ki so trenutno na trgu. V drugem delu pa smo opredelili metode dela, izbiro materiala, konstruiranje ter oblikovanje embalaže in njene grafične podobe. Najprej smo predstavili idejne skice, nato pa končni izdelek. Najpomembnejša funkcija embalaže, ki smo jo izdelali, je, da lahko spreminja svojo funkcijo iz embalaže za mobilni telefon v stojalo za telefon in zvočnik. S tem smo želeli doseči, da embalaža ostane uporabna tudi po tem, ko izgubi svojo primarno funkcijo. Naša embalaža pripoveduje zgodbo, je zanimiva, vidno se razlikuje od konkurenčnih, njena največja prednost pa je, da se ne zavrže že po prvi uporabi. The packaging and its graphic design are very important parts of a packaged product. We often associate the product with its packaging, as it is the first thing that we notice during our purchase. Packaging represents the product, its company and its brand so it must be carefully planned and designed. It is especially important for new products on the market that packaging tells a story and immediately catches the customer’s eye. In this diploma thesis, we concentrated on mobile phone packaging design. When purchasing a new phone, customers do not usually decide to buy the product based on its packaging nevertheless it should offer an adequate, attractive, interesting and beautiful design. We designed a mobile phone packaging that is different from other packaging on the market because it is multifunctional. In the first part of diploma thesis we described the packaging all of its features, materials, printing and computer programs that were used to complete our packaging and reach the final product. We also analysed a couple of different mobile phone packaging that are currently present on the market. In the second part of the diploma thesis, we planned and designed our own packaging, defined the working methods and chose the right material for it. After that, we presented initial sketches and then the final product/design. The most important feature of our packaging is that it has the ability to change its functioning from a regular mobile phone packaging to a mobile phone stand and a speaker. Our goal was to create a sustainable and a long-term use of the mobile phone packaging that is useful even after losing its primary function. Our packaging conveys a story, it is attractive, it is different from the rest of the offer on the market, and it is not an expendable/throwaway product.
