V okviru teh vprašanj smo s pomočjo statističnega sklepanja preverjali hipoteze o povprečnih ocenah anketiranih na izbranih področjih delovanja policije, občutka varnosti, zaupanja državljanov v delo policije in njihovo zadovoljstvo z njenim delom. In this thesis, we studied the level of people's trust in the police as an institution and feeling of security in their environment. Research on the views about the Slovenian police was carried out with a classic and an online survey on non-random sample of adult residents of Slovenia according to the principle of snowballs in which we compared the average grade of the respondents with similar previous researches. We have set four research questions that are focused on selected areas of police work, feeling of security of respondents in their environment, the level of trust in the police work and the degree of satisfaction of respondents with the work of Slovenian police. In the context of these questions we used statistical inference to verify the hypotheses that contain an average grade of respondents in selected areas of police work, a feeling of security in Slovenia, the level of trust in the police work and their satisfaction with it. The hypothesis that the confidence of citizens of Slovenia in 2015 compared to the survey in 2010 is greater, was not confirmed, as well as the hypothesis that the citizens of Slovenia in 2015 feel more secure in comparison with the survey in 2010 was rejected. However, we have found that trust in the police and satisfaction with its work is greater in the Central region of Slovenia (Osrednjeslovenska regija) than in the Eastern Slovenia cohesion region (kohezijska regija Vzhodna Slovenija).
