The development of researching skills in undergraduates is an imperative command of Cuban higher education to bringing up creative professionals who helps scientifically to our country. Traditionally, by attaining high quality scientific works, the students of mining engineering career stand out in Mining-Metallurgic High Institute. The obtaining of several awards in different scientific conferences and the presenting of excellent course projects corroborate the previous affirmation. Nevertheless, it has been diminished in the last few years; due to, on the one hand, the inadequate training and motivation of student to face up to extracurricular scientific work, and on the other hand an insufficient work made by scientific tutors. For that reason, it is needed a methods or strategy to strengthen the mining engineering undergraduate scientific work, such that allows to form skills related to technical and scientific work, using the scientific research methodology in the formation of professional process. This paper presents the curricular strategy to undergraduate scientific work at mining engineering career, describes the resource system designed to mining engineering students to support the research and show the main results of its application.
