Punk is a counterculture movement opposed to the dominant system and culture, with antifascist, antisexist ideologies and principles of equality. In terms of hardcore punk, in 1991, arises the North American band Bikini Kill, object of this work, which in its compositions addresses themes with feminist, political and denunciation. In this paper, music is seen in its social dimension, as a producer of identity and representative of the socio-historical context. The aim was to analyze the band's songs, identifying the feminine perspective and it's social implications, to understand the identity of women in that context. The methodology used was the bibliographical-documental analysis of the songs, texts and materials produced on punk and feminism. The compositions were related to the socio-historical context in which they were written and sung, considering Lev Vygotsky's historical-social approach to art and its social role, and feminist theorists like Judith Butler.
