The present paper analyses urban imaginaries in the poetry of Elicura Chihuailaf, Leonel Lienlaf and David Añiñir. The invisibility attributed to urban Mapuche people by a nation that conceives itself as homogenously white is somatised through these intercultural texts exhibiting ethnic subjectivities inserted in the tension between belonging and feeling alienated. The inscription of a Mapuche worldview as a reaffirmation of identity is carried out in urban space (an emblem of Chilean nation-culture). Within this conflictive polarisation they become colonial interstice (Chihuailaf ), space that breaks the body-nature-divinity unity (Lienlaf ) and waste of the neoliberal nation (Añiñir).
