In this paper, a clear analysis is carried out to identify how biopower and biopolitics affect the Colombian penitentiary system, bringing as a case of study the District Prison for Men and Women's Annex, as a positive example in a devastating scenario of violation of minimum conditions of survival of the human being deprived of freedom under special relationship of subjection before the State.
