The paper presents theoretical considerations arising from an investigative process carried out in Bogotá, 2011, addressed to a population of young Afro-Colombian women on the issue of human rights and affirmative action policies. Its objectives questioned the many faces of sexism in current capitalist societies, stating that, despite the explicit intentions to empowerwomen included in public policies, advances are not being made toward inclusion and the visibility of all women; on the contrary, more subtle and stratified forms of exclusion are being adopted from the consumerist capitalist machinery that penetrates deeply into the modes of existence in Latin American countries. The article is divided into four parts: i. Presentation. ii. White subjectivities and the logic of exclusion, iii. Stratification of the subjective becomings of women. iv. Critical reflections about gender discourses. v. Conclusions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
