The design, development and results of a semipresential course of the optional subject "The Chemical Reaction" is presented in the present paper. The subject, given in the Faculty of Chemistry of Havana University, is taught using the multimedia "General Chemistry. Integrated Assignments". The students' opinions, obtained by applying polls, denote a high degree of satisfaction for the organization and development of the course and for the use of the multimedia, employed as main textbook. The continuous improvement of the Cuban Higher Education has been systematized during the last years by means of the study plans and programs of disciplines according to the conception of the study plans "C" and "D" or of the conscious processes, which has one of its fundamental tendencies, the increase of the professional abilities (Alvarez, 1989). In this sense, there are basic disciplines where the abilities that are developed, are identified with the professionals. The design and setting up, on line, of the postgraduate course "The Technologies of Information and Communications in Chemical Education", in the Faculty of Chemistry of Havana University in the two school years, is discussed. They have been very different teaching strategies used by teachers in any area of knowledge and the chemistry has not been alien to it. For the teaching of Chemistry have used different methodologies, including interactive methods are of great importancia. It demonstrated that the use of the computer is very useful for autolearning specially telematic networks are essential to self-employment. At present, the use of networks is an increasingly common, and many important institutions have their own network that allows the sharing of information, recursos. The emergence of the World Wide Web, or simply Web, it has been popularized by allowing anyone who uses a computer with an Internet connection has the opportunity to share information on a global scale, but even more important are the interactions that allows. In teaching has been used very often the cooperative work as a way of giving prominence to the group, causing a change in the roles of teachers and students, and is now being introduced across the network with the use of telematic cooperative environments. The objective of this paper is to show some uses of the network in the teaching of general chemistry and analytical chemistry, for example by using search engines, web sites, WebQuest and cooperative environment telematic BSCW for postgraduate courses: "Methodology Scientific Research" and "Educational Research."
