Despite the formal assumption of the principal of equality between men and women, social research is concerned with the existence of a regressive metadiscourse within cultural industries. It consists of a set of messages that instrumentalize feminist rhetoric to hide antifeminist positions through ambiguity and confusion. Academic texts still lack the theoretical impulse to unveil and conceptualize these notions, which challenge the emancipatory ethics of feminism and also women's freedom. This paper intends to contribute to the elaboration of an epistemological framework to be applied in further research, offering examples through the analysis of television series such as Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives, Mad Men, or Girls. This paper examines power relationships in the classroom. Using the concepts of rhizome, schizophrenia and deterritorialisation of Deleuze and Guattari, a semesterlong ethnographic work was conducted in the course Sex, Culture and Society at the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. The course studies discourses on sex, gender and sexuality in order to deconstruct heteronormative formations of identity. A feministic pedagogic approach allows relationships within the classroom to develop through traditional university learning methodologies. Since the return to democracy in our country, many different movements, having different aims appeared. Among them, those which would struggle for the defence of women’s rights. The province of La Pampa has not been exempt from this fenomenon. In a period of more than three decades flourished in the pampean social scenery several movements. Nontheless, it is about the end of the 20th century that many other emerged, whose objectives are clearly feminist, and they are bound to the express defence of women’s rights. This is the case of Movement for Women’s Rights of General Pico”, subject of study in this paper. Adopting a regional perspective, from a gender viewpoint, this research is powered by the following questionings: Did the constitution of this movement implied a resignification and reconstruction of both, individual and collective identities of its members? This reflective paper tries to summarize the thinking of feminist Seyla Benhabib and show her concern about identity problems, subjectivity, and challenges which the feminist thought must raise. In particular, the challenge of becoming on par with other identity theorists and to enter the contemporary philosophical, moral and political discussion as an equal. Benhabib's theoretical considerations focus on the need to replace the subject of study and paradigms in feminist theories. These theories lead to the fragmentation of human and social groups, while eliminating the possibility of developing a common point of view about the radical transformation of society. The author contends that the unity of the "ego" and the subject matter are important for the feminist theory and practice; that's why it is necessary to establish the identity. This paper addresses trans from an athropological persepective. It focusses particularly on transsexuality as a specific variant, or gender mainstreaming, aiming to contribute elements for understanding in relation to the order of gender in line with the contemporary medico-legal system. It analyzes the difficult relationships of transsexualism with certain sectors of the feminist movement, along with the inherent paradoxes when aiming to construct a specific transsexual identity.
