WASTEWATER treatment , *PAPER industry , *WASTE paper , *RECYCLED products , *RAW materials , *WASTE recycling - Abstract
The wastewater treatment at paper industry that uses recycled fibers as one of its raw materials generates a sludge rich in cellulose fibers, which once dehydrated is called "paper waste". This waste has become an environmental problem because of its high generation rate. Although several alternatives of valorization have been studied, in Medellin none of them has been implemented on an industrial scale; the necessity is still there, that is why the land disposal of this waste appears as the most immediate way to manage it. Combined with the problem of disposition, it is the selection of the suitable site to make it, for which a methodology to be applied in the evaluation and selection of the optative sites for the disposition of remainders of paper industry was developed. In "The Yellow Wall-paper" (1982), Charlotte Perkins Gilman brings to the surface the kind of treatment women were subjected to by doctors who acted following their own -male- point of view, ignoring women's perspective and opinions completely. This short story constitutes a valuable document about the situation of women in the United States by the end of XIX century, as it unveils the contradictions of a period of important social change. HISTORY of medicine , *PUBLIC health research , *MEDICAL writing , *SEVENTEENTH century - Abstract
In the context of medical studies, the topographic aspect (a study about the special circumstances that contributes to the beginning, develop, and ending of diseases belonging to a country) acquired particular significance in New Spain through the work of Diego Cisneros (1618). Juan de Melgarejo, professor, protophysician, priest, and author of two medical writings, continued with the work of Cisneros. The one that concerns us in this paper is called Parecer que ejecutó el Dr. D. Juan de Melgarejo por mandato de su Santidad y orden del Proto Medicato sobre la incorrupción del Ayate de María Santísima de Guadalupe, por los años de 1666. This text remained unpublished and it is closely related to the line of Melgarejo's works on the Virgin of Guadalupe. In this work he analyzes the ayate (cloak) of Juan Diego from a topographic perspective inserted in theoretical and experimental aspects of the hippocratical-galenic slope that prevailed in the medicine perspective of the Baroque New Spain. This research includes aspects on the university education of the author and regarding his tasks as protophysician, one of which was, precisely, the development of the Guadalupean manuscript. All the sources we have used are original. They come from México's General Archive of the Nation, and they all were interpreted by the author. They show the training given by doctors at the Royal and Pontifical University of Mexico and the link between this and the tasks of the Royal Protomedicato Tribunal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During the thirties many right-wing nationalist groups appeared in Chile. Most of them declared to be against Liberalism, Democracy and Communism. In some cases these groups also embraced the Fascism and the Antisemitism coming from Europe, developing anti-Semitic campaigns, unprecedented in the Chilean History. This article enquires in the responses of the weekly paper Mundo Judío, main press publication of the Chilean Jewish community during the thirties, to the Antisemitism of the Jorge González von Marées' Movimiento Nacional Socialista, the most important Chilean fascist group of the period, distinguishing two main reactions. The paper work starts from the expression of the idea of "circular economy" in the EU Action Plan of 2015, in order to show its rapid and wide incorporation into environmental regulations, especially in the area of waste. In second place, the paper indicates the characteristics that can be seen in the circular economy as a legal principle, and shows that it is not as new as it usually appears. Finally, the work claims the values and techniques of the Law against the hegemony that technological and economic concepts have achieved in environmental regulations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this article we will try to show five humorous signs used in Spanish linguistic jokes and that could be used in Spanish teaching. These signs are polysemy, homophony, paronymy, phraseology and diminutives. The election of jokes as a structure to use in teaching is based not only in the fact that it is the main humorous structure, but also in its easy to learn structure. As Attardo (2008) said, joke is the easiest humorous text type. Also, "joke is a humorous unit with no context and selfcontained, which has all the required information to be understood and enjoyed" (Martin, 2008: 37). The goal of this paper is to show how previously mentioned signs work in an internet extracted corpus, so we can get generalizations that can be used in Spanish teaching. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

LEXICOGRAPHY , *VOCABULARY , *LEXICOLOGY , *SPANISH literature - Abstract
According to the few researchers who have approached Alonso de Herrera's Libro de agricultura, the accuracy and richness of its terminology would be two of its main features. Under this premise, in this paper we focus on the fourth book of this six-volume treatise on agriculture, which is dedicated to the knowledge of everything related to the vegetable gardens. After an appropriate lexicological classification of the selected vocabulary, we examine the effect that these words has haved on the Spanish lexicographic tradition, with particular attention to the Diccionario de autoridades--after being Herrera selected as one of the classics of the Hispanic literature for its preparation--, as well as the Covarrubias' Tesoro (1611)--in this case is due to its noticeable encyclopedism, which connect with the rich and assorted information supplied by Herrera--. After our analysis, we conclude the low impact of the Libro de agricultura in the first academic dictionary. On the other hand, we detect a greater harmony between Covarrubias and Herrera, having found several lexicographical articles from the Tesoro with information of vegetable gardens clearly coinciding with the Libro de agricultura. - Abstract
The evolving media ecosystem underscores the pressing need for media literacy within the population. Numerous academic research initiatives typically focus on competencies such as mobile device management and the identification of fake news on social networks, among others. This paper seeks to uncover how academic research tackles advertising literacy, a facet of media literacy that promotes the development of critical consumers. Advertising literacy is increasingly recognised as a crucial competency in today's world, given the ubiquity of advertising messages and their potential to influence purchasing decisions, worldviews, and cultural perceptions. A systematic review was conducted, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, of articles on the topic published in Social Science academic journals indexed in Scopus. Significant findings suggest that advertising literacy has been a subject of analysis for over three decades, and that journals publishing on this topic, along with the affiliations of authors, are predominantly based in Europe and the United States. Additionally, it was observed that applied research, especially surveys and experiments, has superseded theoretical research in the analysis of this subject. The studies practical implications, alongside their theoretical contributions, are noteworthy. The conclusion drawn suggests that advertising literacy is a research area with substantial growth potential, warranting the attention of the educational and media industries. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Online educommunication and empowerment are crucial dimensions in awareness, literacy and change processes, and their articulation may bring benefits to cardiovascular health, given that cardiovascular diseases are the deadliest in the world, including in Portugal. This paper aims to explore the relationship between online educommunication and empowerment in cardiovascular health, using Lisbon citizens as a case. The theoretical framework is composed by the interactivity and empowerment model, the health belief model and the uses and gratifications theory. The questionnaire survey was applied to a gender and age quota sample (N=400). The questionnaire includes thematic dimensions, such as online informative practices on cardiovascular health, the eHEALS scale, and the importance and effectiveness of the educommunicative message on cardiovascular health features. Results show that the educommunicative message has characteristics at the level of purpose, content, type, format, emotions, and logic, which enhance it the most. This indicates that exposure to messages with these characteristics may instigate empowerment and behavior change. Respondents self-rated with the most positive levels on the eHEALS scale, showing empowerment at the eHealth level, with age rather than gender differences. There is evidence that eHealth skills and having cardiovascular disease influence information seeking and empowerment. The main contribution lies in identifying characteristics of the cardiovascular health educommunication message that can optimize recipient's empowerment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Ecuador is a small Andean country located in the western hemisphere of South America. The country has 361;747hm3 annual superficial water resources; As a result, Ecuador, in the last fifteen years (2005 to 2020), has been rapidly developing hydropower projects to triple the production in this renewable source. There were eight new hydroelectric plants constructed in Ecuador among 2007 and 2015 invested close to USD 6 billion the projects. Increased the energy response with renewables; for example, in 1985, the country produced 4 TWh, in 2005-registered 7 TWh, and to 2020, 24 TWh. According to the Electricity Corporation of Ecuador in 2020 reported that generated around 80% of all electricity through hydropower; thus, the article aims to critically analyze the development of hydropower in Ecuador in recent years and establish general energy projections to 2030 to expand the fields of knowledge and perspectives. The paper methodology is quantitative, according to scientific editorial sources, articles, investigative documents, and collects data from government agencies that regulate energy development in Ecuador. It is conclusive between a projection's calculation, Ecuador will need for the year 2030 around 43 TWh, 47 TWh, or 52 TWh to supply the energy grid, according to the scenarios proposed (low, medium, high). Although hydropower will be essential to contribute to this requirement, the country has a barrier because hydropower is very sensitive to external factors of diverse nature, generating an uncertainly future directly associated with climatic effects. This investigation is centered on two objectives: one is to determine whether in Tomelloso, which from 1950 onwards was characterised as being a city linked to literature, this activity is still relevant in the distribution of its spare time. The second objective is to verify whether this city is still a place from which new writers regularly emerge. In addition, this paper aims to provide a sociological explanation of this social phenomenon. Methodological triangulation was used, with qualitative exploratory interviews, surveys, and the management of the bibliography and documentary archives. It is confirmed that there is still a major link to literature in Tomelloso and that writers are still continuously emerging. The phenomenon is explained by relating it to the theories of symbolic interactionism and Robert K. Merton's concept of self-fulfilling prophecies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This paper examines and discusses potential factors that may trigger authenticity in animated immersive environments. Our discussion draws upon three forms of authenticity, categorized as objective, constructive or symbolic, and existential authenticity. To explore these ideas, we present three case studies drawn from the authors' own research deploying immersive media in different contexts (educational, historical, and political). The aim is to interrogate how authenticity is conceived and constructed on three levels -- authenticity of narrative, authenticity of environment, and authenticity of action -- during the design and production process. We start by defining the concept of authenticity with reference to previous work within the fields of journalism and tourism, and then explore its specification in animated virtual reality through the case study discussion. One important conclusion from our analysis is that authenticity markers are needed to enable users to verify the information presented and trust the educational content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Introduction: The use of active learning methodologies, such as the Flipped Classroom, is being applied more and more frequently in various areas of knowledge, obtaining good results. In the teaching of Social Sciences, these methodologies can help to combat the demotivation sometimes experienced by students. This paper presents and analyzes a didactic intervention for the implementation of the Flipped Classroom in Primary Education, to teach Social Sciences. Method: The didactic intervention designed has consisted of the creation of seven videos to develop the didactic unit “Revolution and restoration”” to develop this subject through the Flipped Classroom methodology. The intervention was carried out on a sample of 76 students, divided into three groups/classes. To analyse the results of the intervention, academic results, participation in the activities and the students’ evaluation of the intervention were taken into account. Results: The results obtained show an improvement in the academic performance of the students, who obtain an average of 1 point in their classifications, compared to the didactic units in which the methodology is not applied. It also shows an increase in motivation and a greater and better use of ICT tools. Conclusions: The analysis carried out allows us to conclude that the application of this methodology generates an impact of improved academic results, and in turn, encourages motivation and creativity in the students participating in the intervention, turning the learning of this subject into a more dynamic and motivating process. Human breastfeeding presents characteristics of socioscientific problems, identifying in it different controversies, among which is the one related to the use of breast milk or formula milk. This paper analyzes the influence of an instructional module, which combines three teaching strategies: label analysis, roleplaying and controversy mapping, on the reasoning of 62 preservice elementary teachers on this controversy. For this purpose, a pretest and posttest task were used asking for their reasoned position on which breastfeeding model is better: with breast milk or formula milk. The instructional module has influenced the number of reasons and the types of reasoning made by the participants, but not their positions with respect to the controversy, which were clearly in favor of breast milk. Likewise, a significant increase is found in the number of reasons showing adequate scientific knowledge. Finally, some teaching and other implications for further research are raised. This article presents a four-year longitudinal study analysing what teachers who participate in a non-formal scientific activity think they will learn during the activity. Unlike previous studies, this paper is focused on a long-term activity. The answers given by the teachers to an open-ended question were subjected to an interpretative-descriptive analysis which allowed the emergence of five main categories of response and five teacher profiles. These categories and profiles allowed the characterization and interpretation of teachers' responses. It is concluded that the teachers perceive the activity as a multidisciplinary training opportunity with which to expand and diversify their formation and, especially, to acquire new teaching learning strategies that can be transferred to their classrooms. Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN) as a chronic, irreversible complication and having a cardinal symptom that predominates such as pain contributes to causing changes and alterations in the emotional sphere and therefore in the mental health of the patient. The findings in relation to the perception of patients suffering from DPN reported that pain relief is associated with good levels of quality of life, which reduces stress, depression, insomnia and other factors that can threaten mental health. This paper has two fundamental purposes, the first one is to determine the correlation that exists between the prevalence of DPN and the patients who present psychological disorders. This problem is treated with the help of contingency tables and it is statistically processed with Pearson's chi-square coefficient. Secondly, the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) technique is applied to quantitatively evaluate, through the criteria of 3 experts, the possible strategies to be followed by patients. - Abstract
Objectives: This paper addresses the role of the hydrographic confederations in intercommunity basins in the context of the transformation of Spanish water policy since the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. To do so, we will analyse how such confederations, developing the function of basin organisation, have had to lead a complex governance system in which a greater number of institutional and noninstitutional actors with dissonant perceptions and discourses on the management of this common good have been integrated. Methodology: It is based on the fieldwork of a previous research project, consisting basically of in-depth interviews, to which a supplementary number have been added expressly for the preparation of this work. The study is also based on the analysis of official documentation and relevant bibliography. Results: The governance system of Spanish water policy has become more complex as a result of the application of the aforementioned directive, justifying, in our opinion, the expression «wicked problem» to refer to it. Conclusions: In this context, the confederations have lost capacity, not so much as a direct consequence of the entry into force of the European regulations, but rather as a result of certain decisions taken by the central administration at the same time as the directive was implemented. Healthy behaviors have traditionally been promoted through persuasive messages that provide information about figures or arguments and are designed with an openly persuasive objective. However, other strategies have recently been established, such as the use of narrative messages and mixed formats (which combine information and tell a story). The evidence is not conclusive about the efficacy of these three modalities of persuasion (informational, narrative, and mixed) nor about the mechanisms responsible. Methodology: Two experiments were carried out that compared the effects of the three modalities of persuasive messages mentioned and that were designed to promote sleep hygiene as a factor in controlling body weight. In addition, the role of involvement with the theme of the message and the need for cognition were considered as possible moderator variables. Results: It was observed that the informational message exerted significant indirect effects on the perceived effectiveness of the message, beliefs, and behavioral intention through the self-reference mechanism. In contrast, the narrative and mixed messages owed their persuasive effectiveness to emotional activation, narrative transport, and identification with the protagonist. Conclusions: This paper advances knowledge about persuasion and the most effective strategies to design campaigns to control body weight through the promotion of sleep hygiene. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Agricultural cooperatives in Catalonia are characterised by their extraordinary longevity, with more than a quarter of them having reached a century of survival and operation (Socioeconòmic Review of the "Federació de Cooperatives Agràries de Catalunya", FCAC, 2022, 2021 and 2020). Despite this durability, these organisations have been compelled to face important changes (evolution of the agricultural sector, consumer tastes' changes, government requirements, mechanisation and modernisation of the agricultural sector), as well as to respond to structural difficulties such as farm dimensions, ageing and generational renewal, among others. As a fundamental structure of the Social Economy, co-operatives carry out their activities under the premises of co-operative values and principles, becoming essential actors in the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (Villaescusa, 2019) approved within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015. Referring to agri-food cooperatives, Mozas and Bernal (2020) highlight them as entities that constitute the backbone of the Social Economy, representing one of the basic instruments of rural development (Gallego, 2007). The proposal we make in this paper is as follows: agricultural cooperatives' demonstrate a longevity that requires a detailed analysis in order to determine the elements that contribute to it and that, in a tacit way, contribute to the fulfilment of some of the SDGs (4, 9, 12, 16 and 17). To achieve these research objectives, we use Bourdieu's (1986) Theory of Capital. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper deals with the first study on the construct validity of the GRS 2 Rating Scale for Teachers in Spain, on a sample of 348 subjects. A confirmatory factorial study, CFA, was carried out using robust least squares estimation procedures (WLSMV). A sixfactor structure has been selected that explains 66% of the variance. The fit indices of the model are satisfactory (CFI, .93; TLI, .93). Convergent validity (AVE, .66) and composite reliability (between .87 and .96) are adequate. This scale is the first validated in Spain and provides a relevant measure for the identification of high ability students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The incorporation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into Spanish educational legislation as a framework for addressing student diversity has been met with criticism. Three main objections can be identified. Firstly, the lack of evidence supporting its neuroscientific basis. Secondly, the scarcity of empirical data to demonstrate its efficacy for improving learning. Thirdly, the difficulty in operationalizing and implementing its framework in practice. Based on a thorough review of key literature on UDL, this paper delves into and discusses these limitations considering the theoretical and practical foundations of the model. Furthermore, research directions are pointed out to advance its development, exploring its potential as a framework for identifying barriers for learning in lesson plans. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper we will study the impact of marriage on the social status of three women from the Jewish community of the island of Elephantine during the 5th century B.C. We will see that through the marriage bond, manumission is achieved, social status is maintained, and patrimony is protected. Certainly, only in the case of our first protagonist does her marriage result in a clear social promotion. In the other two cases, marriage serves as protection against the detriment of one's own status. Although, obviously, the primary purpose of the institution of marriage is not to reinforce or maintain social status, a study of the ketuboth (marriage contracts) of our protagonists will show us the clauses that allow room for maneuver in order to achieve the objectives of promotion or protection of status alluded to above. - Abstract
In the Ecuadorian context, cooling technologies play a critical role in the operation of thermoelectric power plants. These technologies are essential to maintain the efficiency and reliability of power generation plants, which can use a variety of methods to cool their systems. Cooling towers are becoming a common option in Ecuador, allowing heat to be dissipated through the evaporation of hot water. In addition, heat exchangers play an important role in transferring heat from one fluid to another, contributing to the energy efficiency of power plants. However, the country also faces challenges related to the availability of water resources and environmental sustainability. The use of cooling water can raise environmental concerns, especially in a country with rich biodiversity and high dependence on natural resources. Therefore, this paper looks at the experiences of operators and finds that factors such as resource availability, environmental regulations and operational efficiency need to be carefully considered when selecting cooling technologies in Ecuador. Cooling solutions require a balanced approach that ensures reliable and efficient power generation while minimizing environmental impact and protecting the country's unique biodiversity. - Abstract
The paper studies the particularities of the educational policies of the Popular Unity. To answer this question, the context has been recreated and the main issues and conflict of these policies are explored. This objective is original because most of the investigations on this regard have studied the logic of the groups that fought to govern the country, have highlighted the differences between the educational projects of past governments or have evidenced the controversies surrounding the Unified National School. To achieve this answer, the study carried out an exhaustive review of the main primary and secondary sources in this matter [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Visual anthropology has already pointed out the paradox of the photographs of the Conquest of the Desert, where the material violence of the historical event is sublimated and silenced by its apparently neutral images. This situation of the archive implies the construction of a visuality on the document, a way of seeing that is also a way of reading the image that we can find in the way in which nineteenth-century intellectuals such as Martí or Sarmiento thought of the photographic device. This reveals a more complex situation of the image and the archive: a visual unconscious or scopic regime. This paper aims to analyze the archival intervention of #Inakayalvuelve, a project carried out by Sebastián Hacher that has different multidisciplinary and intersectional dimensions: the chronicles that the writer and journalist published between 2017 and 2018 in the Revista Anfibia, the audiovisual fragments made by Mariana Corral and, finally, a social activism that seeks to intervene the photographs of the Mapuche prisoners that were in the Museum of Natural Sciences of La Plata. - Abstract
The aim of this article is to provide a critical reading of the stories in Samanta Schweblin's collection Seven Empty Houses (2015) from the perspective of the new materialism. The methodological tools of the study are two theoretical categories: Jane Bennett's "vibrant matter" and Jolanta Brach-Czaina's "everyday hustle and bustle". Drawing on the above-mentioned concepts, the paper proposes an interpretation of Schweblin's stories in which, from a constellation of paradoxical scenes and images, emerges a coherent philosophical vision, one that corresponds to the presuppositions of the new materialism, which, while proposing an alternative epistemology, develops a conceptualisation of a series of ontological paradoxes, which the article will discuss. - Abstract
This paper aims to discuss how neocolonialist policies are configured in the novel Paradox, Rey, by PíoBaroja. Considering the violent process of colonization of the African continent imposed by European nations in the 19th century, two hypotheses lead this work: firstly, to problematize French domination in African countries, Pío Baroja ends up repeating the same practices adopted by the French, employing a political-cultural imposition and the cultural silencing of the other. On the other hand, trying to introduce a logic that escapes from the colonialist policies that European countries imposed on the African continent with the objective of economic enrichment by way of exploitation, the anarchism put into practice in Bu-Tata is also not possible. The impossibility is so much since this is imposed by Europeans, for not being able to escape the genocidal logic of colonialism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Based on China's multilevel engagement strategy in Latin America and the Caribbean, this paper seeks to investigate Argentina's subnational strategies towards the Asian giant in terms of energy transition in two areas: the production of renewable energies and the production of lithium as a storage medium. The perspectives of asymmetric interdependence and structuralism are used to explain the pattern of links between the two countries; and studies of paradiplomacy are used to understand the international actions of Argentina's provinces. The analysis focuses on energy initiatives between 2014 and 2023, using a qualitative methodology with case studies. The initial argument maintains that the development of clean energy is a complementary interest between the Argentine provinces and China, as the Asian country builds its leadership in the field of energy transition, and the provinces diversify their local production matrices. - Abstract
This paper compares publication practices among social scientists from northeastern Mexico who were trained within the country or abroad. It focus critically on late regional scientific development (2000-2020) under the influence of a national academic evaluation scheme strongly aligned to the global publication system. A quantitative analysis was carried out on a selection of self-reported scientific production by a sample of researchers. It was found that both profiles have assimilated the hegemonic publication criteria. Also, that those trained abroad generally have better performances (some linked to their social capital). But, nonetheless, regional collaborations that could contribute to a sustainable local scientific practice are moderately more frequent in locally trained researchers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper analyzes the income distribution in Mexico before and after taxes and transfers, with adjustment to national accounts, and compares it with the situation of other countries in the region and the OECD, to show how in Mexico, inequality is not remedied after taxes, but increased. Tax privileges, such as personal deductions or exemptions, are one of the causes of this inequality exacerbated by redistribution. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This paper presents the modelling technique of deterministic finite automata (DFA) of the procedure for controlling variables by solvers of different ages and educational backgrounds when solving a proportionality problem in a situation of constant rectilinear motion. The study is framed within the context of research aimed at characterizing cognitive change when solving proportionality tasks posed through interactive software. To demonstrate the potential of the DFA technique, the analysis of 2 cases is documented, regarding the frequency of transition towards different forms of using control variables. - Abstract
Starting from an initial analysis on the nature of the speech act of invitation and its relationships with (im)politeness, this paper contrasts the perception that Spanish and English speakers have of such a speech act. The aim pursued is that of determining whether there are patterns of cultural variation –and, if this is the case, also of social variation– in this sense. The analysis combines quantitative and qualitative methodology and is based on the answers to a questionnaire by 240 informants (carefully selected according to their geographical origin, age, sex and academic training) who were shown two variants of a dialogue with a sequence invitation–justified rejection–insistence on the invitation. The results obtained confirm the expected existence of cultural differences, although only partially coincident with the profiles traditionally described in the specialized bibliography, in addition to the presence of fairly clearly defined parameters of social variation, both cross-cultural and specific to one or the other culture. Currently, heterogeneous management affects the operation of networks in many organizations, causing economic losses and the degradation of the quality of their services. This situation gives way to the need for integrated management, hampered by the presence of multiple integration mechanisms that are incompatible with each other. A possible solution found for this was the use of APIs, in order to ensure that the management information offered by the different managers can be integrated into a single application. The great diversity of existing APIs in the market and the non-existence of a guide for their most appropriate use make the design and deployment of an integrated management system based on them a complicated task. In order to solve the aforementioned difficulties, this paper proposes a procedure to implement integrated management through the use of APIs, which starts from the search for the objectives of the organization, to achieve the deployment of a solution that responds faithfully to them. Said procedure allows to point out, from its first steps, important requirements from the analysis of the types of data that are handled in the solution in question. The usefulness of the proposed procedure was verified through its application in an entity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, the results carried out about a study over the possibilities of the Predictive Functional Control (PFC) are presented. The French professor Jacques Richalet and his collaborators developed the PFC. The results presented were obtained, when PFC is applied to industrial processes with complex dynamics such as high order, integral effects in the direct step that make the process asymptotically unstable in open loop and the undesirable phenomena of delay and inverse response. The main objective of the study is to demonstrate the potential offered by the PFC algorithm, in its simplestform, for the control of such processes. To this end, a methodology for synthesizing the PFC controller is developed based on the postulates and principles proposed by the precursors of the method, applied to several real case studies. In all cases, completely satisfactory results were obtained by means of simulation in Simulink-MatLab and finally the results of applying the method to the temperature control of the TCLab minilaboratory developed at the University of Utah are compared. This verifies the real possibilities of the FPC as a prominent alternative to control of real process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper analyzes the practice of photojournalism in Spain and, specifically, focuses on the study of the graphic archive of the EFE Agency (1939-) and its own production, developed within and outside its borders. The acquisition of funds has been taken into consideration as part of this process and, in the same way, it has also been necessary to consider the creation, in the year 2000, of the digital graphic archive: The Photo Library, inheritance of the thematic classification of analog and the nomenclature and, in this process, the documentation system used has been contributed as a result of the conclusions - through primary sources and direct observation - with emphasis on the thematic classification used. WAR , *CHRISTIANITY , *SEDUCTION , *KINGS & rulers , *MONARCHY , *PAPACY - Abstract
In contrast to the traditional interpretation that reduces Spanish-French rivalry to a succession of military confrontations that originated during the reign of the Catholic Monarchs, this paper offers a more complex reading of the phenomena of emulation/competition and admiration/seduction between the two monarchies during the first phase of the Italian Wars. Thanks to a re-reading of diplomatic sources and propagandistic production, it shows to what extent the yearnings for religious reform, defence against Ottoman expansion or the recovery of the Christian East conditioned the perceptions and justifications of both powers, which needed the Apostolic See to legitimise their Mediterranean aspirations and their leadership in Christendom. However, there are differences in the means employed and in the degree of synergy with the papacy between the Valois and the last Trastamara monarchies that explain the ascendence of the latter in the early modern period. The relationship between Erasmus and stoicism is very lightly discussed in contemporary political and philosophical historiography, being itself extremely relevant in helping to understand the complex spirituality of late 16th-century courtly and humanist circles. Moreover, it is of great interest with regards to the understanding of the anthropological and political limits of ErasmusÂ's project, whose philosophical sources have not been sufficiently analyzed. This paper aims to explain and clarify the nature of thus relation, positing it in the context of the great historical and intellectual problems of the Hispanic Monarchy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper is based on a doctoral research work. Its purpose is to act as a critical operator that seeks to show, through discourse analysis, the main lines of crossing, dispersion, and mutation created around the concept of adolescence in the psychoanalytic device in order to point out some epistemic, political, and clinical implications underlying the configuration of certain forms of subjectivity propitiated by such concept. As a result of this analysis, an alternate line of thought is outlined in which subject and event become the conceptual axes that allow us to reposition the adolescent issue in terms of that other order that puberty seems to designate. This paper studies the Sevillian oidor Antonio de Morga's representation of two customs of the inhabitants of the Asian archipelago in the Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas (Mexico, 1609). It analyses how Morga's attitude towards the Filipinos is manifested through his presentation of their culinary and hygienic customs. It argues that, despite his acknowledged impartiality, Morga's image of the Filipinos reveals a system of concepts intended to schematize any unknown and non-Christian world. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The permanent museography project for the Cuatro Caminos metro station in Madrid features two historical synthesis murals whose main methodological instrument is architectural drawing. In addition, they offer narrative proposals that use resources of the avant-garde comic, together with simultaneous representations of space and time in which the chronological sense of the narrative is even manipulated. This paper analyses the two murals from the conceptual framework of the comic book in terms of the combination of the simultaneous vision of the graphic medium and the partial visions of its contents. Moreover, it ponders on the use of these resources when transmitting complex realities in heritage dissemination works. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

WELL-being - Abstract
Introduction: Financial health is related to the overall health of an individual and their family. The objective of this study was to evaluate the scientific production on financial health in the Scopus database for the 2011-2022 period. Method: Scoping review of manuscripts published in journals indexed in the Scopus database between the years 2011 and 2022. The following search terms were used: "Financial obligations", "financial inclusion", "family economy", "financial education", "financial literacy", "financial wellness" and "financial stress", which were entered in the Scopus search engine together with the Boolean operators (AND, OR). Results: A total of 6 940 publications were identified, of which 81.95% were original articles. The United States was the country with the highest scientific production (35.5%). We identified a trend of increasing number of papers during the study period, especially from 2016 onward, with an 860% increase in 2022 (n=1429) with respect to 2011 (n=165). The journals with the highest number of publications were Sustainability (Switzerland) and the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning (USA). Finally, the key search terms with the greatest yield were "financial inclusion" through the use of technology, "financial stress", "financial education" and "financial health." Conclusions: Research on financia! health has increased significantly. The new knowledge on the subject is mostly driven by authors and institutions from the United States, and finally, there is evidence of an increasing trend of pulbications related to financial inclusion and financial education. This paper aims to relate two debates about how logic and language influence thought. There is an axis of discussion about whether there exists a plurality of logic or a single logical system as an evaluation criterion for any reasoning context. In linguistics, the debate arising from the strong and weak interpretations of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis has centralized the discussion around the degree of influence or determination of language on thought. From different perspectives and theoreticalconceptual frameworks, logic, and linguistics delimit and problematize a field of inquiry and reflection. The article, from a transdisciplinary perspective, intends to account for and postulate communicating vessels between these debates, considering the nuances of each approach. It also seeks to propose its own hypothesis on the problem raised. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper seeks to demonstrate how the recognition and study of women's exile narratives could bring new analytical and reflexive registers to the field of philosophical work on political punishment. In order to do this, first of all, a review of its classical, Greek and Roman origins is made, pointing out that, although the exile has varied over the centuries, there are certain constituent elements that are maintained in its contemporary applications. This leads us to observe the way that these constitutive elements of exile are present in a particular way in women's exile narrative writing - especially those of the last civil-military dictatorships of the Latin American Southern Cone. To recognise and include these women's experiential narratives in a highly masculinised textual and analytical corpus allows for new approaches and reflexive projections to the field of philosophical studies on exile. The purpose of this paper is to examine the philosophies of the late Heidegger and the young Marx side by side to show how, while differing radically in some important aspects, both philosophies are motivated by similar concerns and are not so different as to preclude a productive dialogue between them. In so far as both thinkers can be said to have thought, taking the word in a Heideggerian sense, the "same", the way both philosophies diverge from each other can be especially illuminating when it comes to offering a clear interpretation of them (a task which is especially important to gain an understanding of Heidegger's philosophy which is often obscure). We'll see how Heidegger's notion of finitude implies a series of criticisms of Marx's philosophy. Finally, I'll pose a question regarding the limits of Heidegger's criticism of Marx, considering that this criticism goes as far as to criticize the idea that all human beings are equal and so implies a rejection of the idea of human rights.
