The objective of this article was to explore the use of the virtual tool “Alphabetics” in improving the academic performance of basic education children with dyslexia. The need for the use of technology in children with dyslexia was raised so that the level of help of the program in question can be demonstrated. Access to children identified with dyslexia from the Ministry of Health of Ecuador in the province of Guayas was used, numbering 30, who were enrolled in an online language course. After applying the descriptive study, it was found that there is a significant difference in the means of both groups, with the group that used Alphabetics showing a greater improvement in their academic performance scores. The average grade rose from 8,400 when the tool was not used to 9,367 with its use, and the grade ranges were exceeded from between 7.98 - 8.82 to 9.18 - 9.55. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a review of the book "Passion for Ancient History", edited by A. Duplá, Ch. Núñez, and G. Reimond. The book addresses different chapters about prominent historians of Antiquity, such as Gibbon, Grote, Droysen, Mommsen, Fustel de Coulanges, Jane Ellen Harrison, Mijail Rostovtzeff, Eric Dodds, Joseph Vogt, and Ronald Syme. Each chapter offers a detailed view of the biography and historiographical contributions of each author. The book highlights the work of founding authors and provides a transatlantic synthesis for Spanish-speaking audiences, although the possibility of a second part with new authors and a broader chronological framework is suggested. LEADER, beyond being a rural development programme, symbolises a paradigm shift in the territorial governance of rural areas. The LEADER approach emerged in the 1990s in tune with the postmodernist school on local development for modernising traditional models of public management. Despite its potential, there are difficulties involved in putting this approach into practice. This paper provides an operational assessment of EU rural development programmes based on the LEADER method and explores the lower levels of management. To do this, semi-structured in-depth interviews were held with first-line GAL managers in Castile-La Mancha. Mandatory restrictions contrary to the principle of subsidiarity, the socio-cultural characteristics of the local population, localisms, the integration of policies with local activities, or a lack of territorial identity, were identified as the main weaknesses in the design and implementation of programmes based on the LEADER approach. The study focuses on conceptualizing of rural tourist destinations from a holistic perspective. Based on the General Systems Theory and its subsequent application to tourism, the paper tries to identify the various factors affecting rural tourism destinations. For this purpose, the analysis of scientific studies published from a database search was necessary. This study provides a literature review about the concept of rural tourism and pull and push factors in rural areas. This analysis allowed to clarifying some key issues to consider in planning rural destinations as the need to strengthen the relationships and collaborations between the different stakeholders, the cohesion of tourism policies and the integration of supply and demand.
