Currently, there is great interest in the participation of women in decision-making, as different studies show that the presence of women in management influences the improvement of the company's sustainability. This paper contributes to a better understanding of the characteristics of female leadership in agri-food cooperatives through a reference case study in Spain. The aim has been to analyse the process of women's access to the board of directors, the characteristics of their leadership and the influence that their leadership has on business sustainability, measured through its three ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) components. The results indicate that women join the board after demonstrating their professional skills to the members. Their leadership can be defined as transformational and is supported by the cooperative culture. It also shows that there is a positive relationship between women in leadership positions and the improvement of sustainability in agri-food cooperatives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: To determine the functions and skills required by the human factor as part of its new role in the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0  Methodological design: A systematic literature review was carried out based on a bibliometric analysis in the Science Direct database to examine the most relevant findings of research that consider the human factor within the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0. The review was complemented with the design of a framework of Theory, Context, Characteristics and Methodology (TCCM) to determine the functions and skills required in the new role of the human being during the transition.  Results: Based on the methodological design, it was observed that Industry 4.0 generated a new industrial revolution combining advanced manufacturing techniques with new digital technologies to increase productivity, reduce human participation and, consequently, boost competitiveness. However, it was also identified that these new intelligent processes still have limitations and still require human supervision in such a way that these two work forces cannot be considered independent but on the contrary must complement each other.  Research limitations: Thescope of the research was limited to an exploratory and descriptive study.  Findings:  Among the most relevant findings, the functions and skills required by the human factor in this new digital age are highlighted as well as the importance of the industrial sector considering it as a main axis within the process of innovation and sustainable development. After conducting an investigation through secondary sources such as magazines, government pages and studies of the tourism field of Quindío, it is important to carry out an analysis focused on strengthening sustainable business strategies in the hotel, gastronomic and artisan sectors in the areas of greater tourist demand, since the department has had an accelerated activity in this sector from the growth of tourism, which has contributed in good part to the development of each of the companies in the department of Quindío, for this reason the optimization of economic, environmental and social resources, identified how entrepreneurs in this sector create value and business sustainability that induces competitiveness. A methodology for the modeling of business sustainability that is based on the dynamics of systems and integrating elements of mathematical, statistical and dynamic systems analysis is proposed. For this, the general aspects referring to sustainable development are reviewed. Among this are, the characteristics and indicators related to sustainable business, the key concepts of systems dynamics, dynamic systems and the modeling of business sustainability. The proposed methodology is detailed and its application to the specific case of a national manufacturing company is described. Through the construction of the model, its simulation and analysis, it was possible to establish sustainability actions related to human talent management, energy saving and the generation of solid waste. The business world has undergone great changes due to the phenomenon of globalization; Nowadays, markets behave in a more competitive way, demanding greater participation in decision-making processes at the company level. At the same time, there has been an increase in citizen demands that require companies to give back the society for the benefits obtained from their operations without neglecting the environmental part. Without omitting these demands, companies must base their actions on the principles of business sustainability; Therefore, the objective of this is to analyze the degree of commitment that agricultural companies have assumed in relation to sustainable development. To this end, the practices implemented in terms of sustainability were analyzed by three agricultural organizations in the city of Guasave, Sinaloa; using qualitative methodology to describe the situation or phenomenon, after analyzing the information obtained through interviews. As main findings we can mention that there are very large distances between the companies analyzed because while one can only worry about their survival, we found another with a considerable progress in the subject, so that it already has it included in its business philosophy. However, there are still many areas of opportunity that need to be taken advantage of; for example, to assume the commitments from the business philosophy in such a way that they permeate in the whole organization and there is a more efficient management and not only isolated practices. Business sustainability is a paradigm that every day becomes more important in management theory, for the importance of ensuring the company over time. So this article aims to present a sustainable business model, that arises from the perceived need to generate models favoring the survival of Small and Medium Enterprises in a context in which about 65% die during their first two years of operation. This model consists of five different dimensions, in this article was addressed from a theoretical point of view, and through their management in a procedural way for a specified period of time, provided the company in favor of their stay in the market. It presents the various dimensions that conformed, the theoretical attributes of each one in their conceptualization and some of the implications of his implementation at operational level.
