Poor executive functioning is linked to antisocial behaviors; Violent offenders present poor performance in cognitive and behavioral control, deficits in inhibition, planning and execution of movements. This research aimed to determine the association between the joint evaluation of the performance of executive functions and the types of crimes in women in the stage of emerging adulthood, who are serving a sentence in the Azuay-No.1 Deprivation of Liberty Center, 2023. It had a quantitative approach, with correlational scope, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population was 23 women deprived of liberty. The instruments used were a sociodemographic record and the Neuropsychological Battery of Executive Functions and Frontal Lobes -BANFE-2-. The results showed a considerable deterioration of executive functions in the majority of the population and it is independent of the type of crime, which were violent and non-violent. Obtaining precise solutions with the finite element method (FEM) for diffusive problems with multiple phases entails a high computational cost. For this reason, the extended finite element method (XFEM) has become the usual tool for the analysis of this type of problems. However, when XFEM is applied to two-phase problems with very different conductivities, inaccurate representations of the flows in the vicinity of the interface are obtained. To alleviate this deficiency of the XFEM. additional restrictions must be added to the method, originating a modification of it, known as XFEM+. Since XFEM+ is relatively recent and little known and implemented at the time of designing applications for real problems of engineering and science, this paper presents its theoretical development, as well as the numerical results obtained for 2D problems, compared to FEM and XFEM. A contribution of this work is given by the implementation of the methods for quadrilateral elements. The numerical results obtained for this type of elements, and different interfaces, show the remarkable improvement of the XFEM when increasing the order of interpolation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The following article briefly describes the chilean environmental liability system, particularly the judicial declaration by the Environmental Courts of the existence of environmental damage. In such regard, this paper focuses on identifying, describing and analyzing the legal effects in the judicial procedure, of the declaration of environmental damage made by the environmental enforcement agency.
