Currently, one of the topics that attracts the most interest in the experimental science didactics research agenda are emotions and their role in learning and teaching. Given the above, a review of the literature in this regard is presented here. Our study has a first phase of identifying publications in databases such as Scopus, Dialnet and Redalyc and a second phase of selection with theoretical criteria, in which those documents that presented reviewed and meta-analysis against research advances in this line. Subsequently, the data from these selected documents were organized, coded and analyzed with the help of the Atlas.ti24 data processing software, resulting in the recognition of some "key moments" within the research on emotions in science teaching. We begin our analysis with the identification of some causes of the lack of research on the subject and we reach the point of making considerations for its rise in the last decade and projections for the near future. The effect of emotional valence in word retrieval is well‐established in native languages, but findings in a foreign language remain inconsistent. This study investigated the impact of emotional valence on free word recall in English as a foreign language after video exposure. Participants were upper‐intermediate English speakers with Spanish as their mother tongue who watched eight emotionally valenced and four neutral videos, followed by an immediate free recall task and a delayed recall task after 2 weeks. Generalized linear mixed models showed that word valence influenced recall, with neutral words being less easily recalled than negative words, and a decline in recall between sessions. These findings support the Motivated Attention Account, which suggests that motivationally significant stimuli capture more attention than neutral stimuli, regardless of their polarity. Furthermore, the results align with previous evidence in native language research and some studies in foreign language contexts. This study highlights the robust effect of emotional valence on word recall at different time intervals, using authentic input with upper‐intermediate English speakers who have Spanish as their mother tongue and who learned English later in life. This paper aims to analyze several specific forms of filmmaking very related to neoliberalism as an economic, political and cultural system, taking as reference the affective turn to explore this link. For this, it will be considered the different contributions that, from different fields of social sciences, have linked the evolution of capitalism with the conquest of the sphere of affections and emotions, and it will use the methodology of film analysis to verify, in a set of concrete works, the features of that relationship. From this intersection between theoretical proposals and case analysis, the article wants to show an expressive strategy based on the humanization of certain behaviors, through the cinematographic narrative, which normalizes some attitudes and values due to decisions which work on the construction of the story an the aesthetics of the work. This article analyzes abortion experiences with misoprostol during the first decade of the 21st century in Argentina, before the legalization of the practice and the publication of the World Health Organization manuals on medication dosage. Based on in-depth interviews with women who underwent medical abortions during those years, we inquire about the mechanisms of information circulation and clandestine purchase of the drug. In addition, the article delves into experiences on the use of medication, confidence in the procedure, and the pain felt by these women from the theoretical perspective of the sociology of emotions. Among the most relevant findings is that women build networks and links to overcome the problems surrounding the practice of abortion because of the difficulty of obtaining the medication in the context of legality and illegality and the lack of information about the procedure itself and to develop a reliable method based on their own experiences. Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage emotions, feelings, to differentiate between them, to channel and conduct one's thoughts and actions. On the other hand, self-efficacy, related to performance, is the personal impression or conviction regarding one's own abilities in a specific context. The present study aimed to determine whether or not there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy in adolescents, for which a correlational study design was used, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental and cross-sectional scope. To achieve this objective, standardized items such as the Emotional Intelligence Scale TMMS-24 and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) were applied to a sample of 90 adolescents. The results showed a slight positive relationship between Self-Efficacy and the dimensions of emotional intelligence such as Perception (Rho=0.425, p<0.001), Understanding (Rho=0.314, p<0.001) and Regulation (Rho=0.410, p<0.001). This article analyzes the association between emotions and electoral participation. It asks which encourages or inhibits the vote and whether or not they play the same role in different age groups. To address these questions, we use the results of a survey conducted in Chile during the 2017 elections. It is argued, first, that among the general population, fear and optimism play a role in the decision of the vote. Second, in young people’s case, these emotions play an even more significant role. This paper presents a neutrosophic study on attitudes towards virtual technology, with a special focus on the "Experience Machine". Employing a methodology that incorporates the theory of indecision and neutrality into response analysis, the perceptions of 50 university students were investigated. Opinions and feelings were transformed into neutrosophic numbers to calculate contradiction and conduct a detailed analysis. The results indicate a predisposition towards agreement with virtual technology, although notable indecision and a significant presence of neutral attitudes were detected. The correlations and clustering methods applied reveal a complex dynamic of attitudes, challenging binary interpretations and highlighting the need for more nuanced strategies. This neutrosophic approach offers new perspectives for the development and marketing of innovative technologies, recognizing the diversity of emotions and opinions in user responses to emerging technologies. Objective/context: The objective pursued by this research is to analyse the possible existence of a social and political fracture around the figure of former President Rafael Correa and his political legacy, the Citizen Revolution, which would act as a kind of polarizing division of Ecuadorian society: correismo/anti-correismo axis. A division that, born of politics, would have been established within society, allowing the existence of two opposing sides that feel, perceive and act in politics in a very different way. Methodology: To this end, a study has been drawn up with a quantitative methodological approach based on an analysis of the data contained in the Study of Politics and Emotions in Ecuador, March 2021 (SPEE), carried out by the EIP-USC after the first round of the 2021 presidential elections. Conclusions: The results of this first approach (descriptive and multivariate) allow us to affirm the existence of important differences between supporters and detractors of correismo, especially as regards political and emotional issues, but not so regarding sociodemographic issues. Originality: The influence that the emotional factor expressed towards the different political leaders would have in the construction of this fracture is especially relevant; providing a novel vision to the literature on the influence of Rafael Correa and his project in the Ecuadorian political system. The purpose of the present article is to contribute a theoretical review of anorexia, self-harm cutting, and anxiety in the adolescent population. Adolescence is a time of opportunity and significant challenges for individuals. However, due to physical, emotional, and social changes, they are often exposed to various risks. Adolescents are a vulnerable population to present mental or behavioral problems. Anorexia, anxiety, and self-injury are common during this period, causing difficulties in emotional control and negatively affecting quality of life. A timely approach to these conditions focused on properly managing emotions helps adolescents favorably transit to adulthood as they improve social skills, problem-solving ability, and self-confidence. The article presents a general, though not exhaustive, overview of the notion of care and its presence and relevance in gender historiography, examining how historical research can inform and shape new discussions. A bibliographic and narrative review methodology is used, comparing selected studies based on their contributions and scope. Given that care is a transdisciplinary issue with significant heuristic potential, both historical topics and those from other branches of the humanities and social sciences are considered. Care is understood here both as an affective and a labor disposition, and it is from these dimensions that the main debates and problems are presented, focusing specifically on those that have had the greatest presence in gender and history studies: domestic work, feminized professions that care for others, affective communities, and maternal love. In the context of the current care crisis, it is concluded that the topic needs to be viewed broadly and its contributions revalued from a critical gender theory perspective, also considering a historiographic perspective sensitive to contexts and capable of interpretive flexibility. The article focuses on the main academic discussions held in North America and European countries, aiming to contribute to understanding the theoretical and applied scope of care and acknowledging that there is still much ground to cover. This work derives from the need to make visible the perspectives, emotions and interactions of those who, at present, inhabit social housing through a process of invasion in an area that historically has been characterized by a high number of uninhabited dwellings, mainly as a result of neoliberal policies. At the national level, the municipality of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, has been among the entities with the highest number of uninhabited homes. In the southeastern part of the municipality, the situation is increasing, deriving in practices and perspectives that configure the plot of these places invisibilized under the context of abandonment presented. In this sense, making visible the new forms of inhabiting the uninhabited necessarily implies addressing the relationship between people, objects and built environments, elements that are little developed when it comes to assessing the impacts of urban policy. Through a qualitative approach, the use of the phenomenological method, in-depth interviews and non-participant observation as techniques for obtaining information, this work gathers emotions and perspectives that are situated between loneliness and resistance to abandonment, in a context that limits the possibility of social interactions, and that contrasts with the need for housing as an object of heritage and with the difficulties to access it. In this study we identify diverse experiences of Psychology students during online classes, within the framework of covid-19, and in face-to-face classes during the post-pandemic period. Based on a sociocultural psychology approach, we analyzed aspects of these experiences and their impact on the students' learning, emotions and socialization with peers. Five open-ended questionnaires were applied online over two semesters of face-to-face classes and a content analysis was conducted. We observed that students valued the face-to-face classes, felt happy, more focused on academics and content with their social life. However, they considered that online classes are advantageous because they allow them to save money and time in traveling to school. Comments generated by users of online music streaming platforms have become an under-researched digital genre. We explore this field by analyzing the intensification devices of comments generated by the Spanish new generation singer Álvaro Soler’s Chinese fans. Based on a corpus composed of 1,646 comments collected from Netease Cloud Music and following a “coding and counting” approach, this article examines the usage of intensification strategies in these reviews and the most emphasized topics. Results from this study will reveal how Chinese fans use this pragmatic strategy to express emotions. In addition, their enthusiasm and interest are not limited to the star, but also extend to some linguistic and sociocultural aspects. This work provides an interesting contribution to the study of intensification, and shows Chinese teenagers’ perception of Spanish popular culture from a particular and innovative perspective. The article "Shame" analyzes the emotion of shame and its relationship with narcissistic injury and decreased self-esteem. The perspectives of Freud, Erickson, and other authors are reviewed, and clinical vignettes of two patients in psychoanalytic analysis are presented: Humberto, a young man dissatisfied with his career and personal relationships, and Gustavo, a married man who feels emotionally pressured at work.
