The Electrical Circuits subjects constitute the fundamental basis for the training of electrical engineers, within the skills to be developed in these subjects is the analysis of the phasor diagrams of electrical circuits, an important aspect for the trainee engineer since, in practice, it is necessary to know the relationship between voltage and current in the complex plane of a given circuit. On the other hand, GeoGebra is a free interactive mathematics software that allows the graphical representation and algebraic treatment of functions. That is why the objective of the article is to propose an analytical methodology and through simulation with the GeoGebra software for the analysis of phasor diagrams that helps to improve the teaching-learning process of Electrical Circuits subjects for 2nd year students. Researchers and education professionals agree that educational research is often disconnected from the problems and issues of everyday practice: a division that creates the need for new research approaches that speak directly to the problems of practice and that lead to the development of "usable knowledge". As a consequence of this disconnection between practice and research results, physics classes in Argentina rarely present opportunities for students to get productively engagement in the discipline. In this paper, some results of previous research have been selected for designing an introductory class to electrical circuits for high school. The methodology used is Design-Based Research. The designed class is implemented in 2 groups of 15 students aged 14. In class, the effectiveness of learning is analyzed from the considerations raised by Engle and Conant in 2002, to account for Productive Disciplinary Engagement (PDE). The results show that 1) students engage productively in a disciplinary manner when working with activities designed based on Engle and Conant's 2002 guidelines and, 2) the presence in the class of a student possessing the correct knowledge on the subject addressed, can interfere in the distribution of authority among the class participants and therefore in the degree of PDE reached by all students. Achieving qualitative transformations in the teaching-learning process as a consequence of a wide and widespread use of information and communication technologies has been one of the premises in the current curricular transformation carried out in Higher Education. These changes must be expressed fundamentally in the renewal of pedagogical conceptions and practices that imply reformulating the role of the teacher and developing teaching-learning models different from the traditional ones. The objective of this work is to propose the PartSim simulator as a means of integrating ICT in the organizational forms of the teaching-learning process of the electrical engineering career at the Technological University of Havana, taking as a case study the Electrical Circuits subjects. The new curricular transformation developed in the Electrical Engineering career, responds to the demands at the international and national level for the graduates of this career. For this reason, the main objective is under what conception and with what procedures to make the fundamental changes to achieve a communicative, independent and creative educational teaching process, in correspondence with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education. This research presents an extension of the SPICE loudspeaker work done by Leach for an overhung-type moving-coil dynamic loudspeaker, where the height of the voice coil is greater than the magnetic gap's height. Using LTspice software, which simulates SPICE, the complete equivalent electrical, mechanical, and acoustic models from the electroacoustic analogies were developed, which allowed verifying the original equivalent model. Sub-circuits were then developed, allowing direct measurement of the velocity and volume velocity emitted by the diaphragm in the complete equivalent mechanical circuit. In addition, three models of electrical inductance and three models of radiation acoustic impedance were implemented. Furthermore, the thermal linear model of the loudspeaker and the resistance model with temperature variation of the voice coil were implemented. The results of the models showed consistency in the measured and simulated responses of the loudspeaker used. The different electrical inductance and radiation acoustic impedance models showed their use and implementation advantages and disadvantages. The thermal linear model showed a reasonable estimation of the measured temperature in the loudspeaker, except for the cooling of the voice coil. Finally, the results of the implementation of the thermal model on the electrical resistance of the loudspeaker showed the expected behavior as indicated in the literature, i.e., increasing the temperature increases the magnitude of the input electrical impedance, decreases the displacement and velocity of the diaphragm and decreases the sound pressure level. get was to design a didactic sequence for the treatment of the topic of electrical circuits with an active learning methodology, to answer the question about what type of learning was promoted in students using this methodology, in the virtual classrooms of Physics classes in engineering, towards a later application in Hybrid Modality. The study is qualitative following the phases of action research, for the construction of the contextualized problem DIPCING's methodology was used, designed specifically for the teaching of engineering and infographics as an integrative learning product are proposed. An instrument called Application to Engineering was used to quantify higher-order skills. The design and evaluation, shown in this research, were provide tools for the implementation of the PBL in engineering careers in a hybrid modality, and the relationship with the learning achieved by the students is explained. In this paper, a computer vision inspection methodology is presented for the detection and segmentation of areas of wear by electric arc on the surface of electrical contacts using segmentation by instances. Cadmium is a toxic metal frequently used in the manufacture of alloys for electrical contact, so efforts have been made to replace or eliminate this element from the industry. Our work proposes an approach oriented to the automation of the inspection process, which reduces the subjectivity of the repetitive task of inspecting electrical contacts, allowing to compare two different alloys, such as one with Cadmium (Cd) and the other with Copper (Cu)., subjected to the same conditions and determine which of them presents less wear by electric arc. In this way you can know if the new part is better, equal or worse in terms of performance. Initially, an adaptation was made of the source code hosted in a github repository of mask R-CNN of the Matterport corporation, where variables, classes were modified, and directories were created according to our needs. The results obtained show that the masks generated by the algorithm adjust very well to contact wear, despite the irregular shape of the damage. However, the "charred" edge was probably not considered, because in training images it was a feature that few images presented, so segmentation may not be considering this factor. Learning electric circuits is a fundamental aspect of engineering training and students have difficulty understanding these basic concepts. For this, physics education research has developed strategies that promote argumentation and conceptual understanding. This research explores students' argumentation dynamics when learning electric circuits in an electricity and magnetism introductory course for engineering implemented in a student-centered learning environment, where Peer Instruction and Cognitive Scaffolding Activities occur. The research uses a naturalistic observation. The results show that students have difficulties and previous conceptions that, through argumentation, they modify to reach a correct conclusion. One of the main differences is that, during peer instruction, the discussion dynamics occur in groups with a larger number of students. In contrast, in cognitive scaffolding activities, the discussion dynamics occur in small teams. This research's main finding is that implementing strategies that promote argumentation causes students to achieve a deep conceptual understanding of electric circuits and develop their ability to analyze circuits rather than apply memorized rules. The conclusion is that, with these strategies, argumentation happens at four levels, in the student's mind, in small teams, in the learning community, and with the whole group. In this article a methodology for estimating electrical parameters in distribution transformer is presented by considering voltage and current measures through the formulation of a nonlinear programming (NLP). This mathematical optimization model is developed by applying the Kirchhoff's laws to the equivalent electric circuit of the transformer. To solve the NLP model the general algebraic modeling system widely known as GAMS is used. The proposed methodology is developed in a tutorial sense by presenting a numerical example that corresponds to a single-phase transformer with 20 kVA and a transformation ratio about 8000/240 V. Numerical results show that the parametric estimation in the transformers with the proposed NLP model represents the electrical behavior of these devices adequately considering different load scenarios. The work presents an experience carried out in the Second Cycle of Early Childhood Education in a public centre in Andalusia. Mathematical Model of a Series-Parallel (SP) photovoltaic (PV) generator represents each module through an equivalent electrical circuit denominated single diode model, this model has associated a nonlinear equation system that describes the electrical behavior of SP generator. This paper presents a solution of this system using optimization methods widely using: Trust Region Dogleg and Particle swarm optimization (PSO) for solving the electrical model of PV generator operating under homogeneous or non-homogeneous conditions, changing the number of submodules and shading pattern. It has been made simulations about generators composed by 3 and 15 series submodules, operating under different partial shading conditions. Between the implemented methods, Trust Region Dogleg show a better performance than other methods, with 2 and 14 times less computation time than the reference method and PSO, respectively, and a RMSE equal or 50% lower than PSO. A project for early age students is proposed in order to motivate the study of physics, mainly for the electricity area, electrical circuits and microcontroller programming through the integration of low-cost elements to animate visually textiles and common daily items. It includes the use of the concepts related to the Ohm law and the link that exists between the representation of a binary number in the Arduino language with the physical voltage output of the microcontroller to turn on or off each one of the led as result of a programming sequence. The present work includes a bibliographic review of maintenance management focused on reliability and failures in high voltage circuit breakers. The possible parameters to be used in managing maintenance are evaluated according to the findings of international studies, standards and current operating procedures used by Cuban electrical substations, as well as the availability of measuring equipment in said substations. The possible parameters are broken down in functioning tests, visual reviews, and operational reliability. Circuit breakers serve to connect and disconnect electric circuits under any operation conditions. Improving circuit breaker reliability is important for the correct operation of electric power systems. In this paper, we use one of the existing methods for the analysis of reliability in devices and components according to Norsok Standard Z-013. The criticality level of the circuit breakers in a substation is determined from the quantity of operational failures, the power flow through the circuit breaker, and the circuit breaker incidence in the electric power system stability. The paper includes the analysis of historical data over a five-year period and shows the results of the obtained mathematical expression. The goal of this article is to present the role of the technology during the transit between the different stages of the mathematical modeling cycle. Since 2008 at Tecnológico de Monterrey, it was began the development of a course that involves a mathematical modeling perspective as the principal mean for learning Differential Equations. It is presented the design of a specific situation related with Circuits Electric Context with activities based on the use of diverse technology. Based on a praxeological study we describes the types of tasks related to the mathematical modeling cycle when technology is applied, and also how the former ones might propose a better transit between the diverse domains of the modeling cycle. This paper presents a general method for simulating the flow behavior in the fin-and-tube heat exchangers with high flexibility in handling the information. This procedure is based on the use of Object-Oriented Programming and specifically using C+--H, this because of all the advantages of this type of programming. Data entry is carried out by files, so that third-party programs can generate configuration and permit calculation in parametric form. The results for the analysis are presented in three different formats: comma separated value (CSV), structured plain text and self-documenting (XML) and a graphical display of results (VTK). This work presents a methodology to study transient processes of direct and alternating current, in linear circuits with a single energy storage element, using an instrumentation system with a computer and a data acquisition card, which generates a train of pulse to replace devices connecting and disconnecting the source. Mathematical models were obtained for transient processes in the presence of the pulse train and the combination of the pulse train in series with a sinusoidal signal source, allowing study these processes and test the structural similarity of models obtained both when connecting and disconnecting the circuit using switches. The lab was designed and implemented, obtaining the instantaneous characteristics of voltage and current in the energy storage elements. The results are consistent with the models obtained and the laws of transient processes and also were compared with theoretical calculations and measurements made with digital tools, corroborating its veracity. This paper presents the design of an automatic system used by university students in order to perform electrical circuit´s labs. The system is a virtual instrument and allows the passive filters characterization. The hardware is composed by a signal generator, a power supply, a data acquisition board, a personal computer and a module of 8 passive filters. The software, developed in LabVIEW 2011, perform the signal's processing associated to the filter module in order to display the diagram of the frequency response. The system results are compared with the results obtained using traditional measurement instruments, which validates the tool designed. To conclude, the experiences obtained by a 3th year Biomedic's career students group of the ISPJAE in an automated laboratory practice using the designed application are mentioned. Textbooks and courses in Abstract Algebra (or Modern Algebra) present and explain several kinds of algebraic structures --such as abelian groups, vector spaces, rings, ideals and fields-- as if these were "free constructions of the human spirit". Usually mathematicians treat these structures as defined and analyzed in terms of operations which are characterized by properties which are presented as if comming up from a theoretical and purely platonic vacuum of ideas, in spite that they have been obtained indeed by inference and abstraction from well know, concrete operations in subjects such as Euclidean Geometry, Number Theory and Real Analysis. No considerations are done in those books about the existence and knowledge of physical objects endowed with mutual linkages, which are faithful models (or examples) of such algebraic structures with their inner operations. This paper presents one of those models, consisting of a class of electrical objects, the so-called electrical quadrupoles, which may be mutually connected in parallel (representing an "addition" between them) or in series (representing a "product' between them). Analysing these systems and these electrical operations, it is shown here how to construct a model of several of the above mentioned algebraic structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article presents a detailed model of an AC/DC converter with capacity to correct power factor, by representing the electrical circuits on the different operation cycles. First, the differential equations and states space models are obtained, then an averaged model. Based on this model a control law is proposed to achieve a high power factor correction, what was numerically verified by using POWERSIM© toolbox of MATLAB®. This paper shows the full analysis, design and simulation of a 3.3 V CMOS input/output rail to rail or R-R operational amplifier using the design kit for the Synopsys tools. The technology used was CMOS TSMC 0.18µm whose cost is low for academic purposes. This paper details the complementary input stage R-R, the summing circuit and the R-R output stage class AB. This paper presents a generalized strategy applied to perform the reduction of power distribution systems composed by several tapped feeders into equivalent radial feeders, as basic procedure required to the generalized implementation of impedance based fault location methods. The proposed strategy is tested using a fault location method, where it is shown a straightforward procedure to analyze the locations, and additionally the results shows errors lower than 3.5 % in the distance estimation for single line to ground, phase to phase, three phase faults. In this paper, the design and implementation of a universal analog adjustable filter based on active elements is presented. The system offers the user the possibility to choose the type of filter to use, using a graphical interface developed with the tool GUIDE of Matlab©, and tuned by digital potentiometers. The article presents a study on the behavior of simple circuits studied in the basic courses of electromagnetism.

The viability of the use of the circuits selected is confirmed, as electric channel of telecommunications by means of field trials: espectral analysis of the answer of the media to RF ( radio frequency ) signals electromagnetically coupled in the electric conductors of power circuits and covering the spectrum of utilization (2 - 34 MHz). The results of the data transportation simulation tests made with a portable management system are presented in order to verify the interconnection of the devices of network by means of checking network parameters data: Velocity reached by the electric telecommunications channel, answer to the PING command, the channel efficiency: Bit per Hz, Signal to Noise relation (SNR). Finally the topology of network suggested for the energy meter data transportation from Distribution Sub-Stations to the data processing centers ( internal clients ) is presented.
