This research analyses the connection that leadership, strategic objectives, system of incentives, and other factors included in cultural organization have with the performance in acute hospital. 10 health-care organizations of the armed forces were evaluated for this research. The evaluation considered the number of doctors, nurses, beds, inpatients, outpatients, surgeries, and patients' satisfaction. Indicators of hospitable performance were obtained with these data. The Competing Value Framework model was applied in this cultural organization research by translating and validating the questionnaire. Even though military hospitals should share similar values, traditions, and customs, which integrate into one type of cultural organization, the four types were found (Hierarchical, Rational, Clan, and Developmental). Furthermore, a relationship between hospitable performance and the type Clan was found, while the Developmental type improves the patients' satisfaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
