Knowledge emerges as a growing force that can mobilize and drive social development; therefore, it is necessary, based on scientific contributions about the regularities of this process and the elements that empower man as a transformer of his realities, himself, his culture and his society. Being able to use new processes, such as Knowledge Management, that enable the training of individuals, professionals, capable of responding to the demands of the contemporary world. Taking into account the above, this work proposes an automated system called Knowledge Management in Universities and Research Units (GCUI) for its acronym in Spanish, for the evaluation of knowledge management in university and scientific institutions. For this purpose, 40 indicators proposed by Inche and Álvarez in 2007 were used, distributed in the dimensions' human capital, structural capital and relational capital. This research aims to identify the unobserved heterogeneity present in the model explaining job satisfaction (JSAT) of university teachers based on relational capital (RELC) and workplace violence (WVIO), in a sample of 335 professors from a public university in Venezuela, one of the most violent countries in the world. This approach is based on the premise that the assumption of relatively homogeneous data may be unrealistic in some contexts, as individuals behave differently, which can significantly affect the results obtained with structural equations. The information was collected through validated questionnaires in the specialized literature, using Likert-7 formats. A quantitative research design was employed, with a cross-sectional and explanatory scope, and a relatively novel technique called PLS-REBUS was applied to identify three heterogeneous groups. The reliability and validity of the constructs used were demonstrated, with statistically significant relationships. Based on the most influential construct in JSAT and multigroup comparison, groups 1 and 2 represent academics whose JSAT mainly depends on the perception of the level of RELC, labeled as: "institutional relationships are a priority," while group 3 consists of academics whose JSAT essentially depends on the perception of the level of WVIO in the university, labeled as: "workplace safety is a priority." Relational capital constitutes one of the components of the intellectual capital of any organization, which reflects the value provided by the relationships that it establishes with the agents in the environment with which it interacts during the development of its activity. Because organizations maintain a wide range of relationships of different nature, relational capital has a direct impact on efficacy, understood as the degree to which objectives and goals are achieved. However, the review of the most relevant theory that has been generated in the field of knowledge management to date shows that interest has been oriented mainly towards human and structural capital, the other two components of intellectual capital, and there is a lack of methodological tools for the effective management of relational capital. For this reason, this paper aims to reflect on the importance of relational capital and its relationship with efficacy, as well as to propose a comprehensive model for its management, which involves different organizational variables, and to present its validation through a factor analysis in the context of Mexican small and medium-sized enterprises. Organizations implement measures to have a higher performance that allows them to be prosperous and competitive, one of them being intellectual capital. However, in the face of a crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant industry was one of the most affected. The objective of this paper is to determine if intellectual capital -divided into human, structural and relational capital-influenced positively in the performance of the Baja California restaurant industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research is explanatory and cross-sectional. Partial least squares structural equation model applied to 280 restaurants in Baja California was used. A questionnaire with responses on a five-point Likert scale was designed to measure the four study variables. It was shown that during the pandemic, relational capital positively influenced the restaurants performance. On the other hand, human and structural capital did not present any degree of significance. The restaurant industry was unable to react to the scourge of the pandemic, so it was unable to design strategies to take advantage of human capital or act to strengthen the structural one. The objective of this study was to measure the influence of intellectual capital on the organizational performance of Micro and Small Enterprises. The research assumed a quantitative methodological perspective, with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and explanatory design. A 29-item questionnaire was used to collect information from a convenience sample of 213 companies. The results of the study show that there are two sections that significantly explain organizational performance, structural capital and human capital. Therefore, the development of these two variables will be able to achieve better results. Likewise, the correlation coefficient indicates a moderate level of association between the intellectual capital variable and its dimensions, with the organizational performance variable (r=0.322) with a significance of p-value= 0.000. For this reason, it can be concluded that, if these companies efficiently manage their intellectual resources, they will be able to promote a successful organizational performance. Introduction: at present, innovation in organizations is demanded in an unprecedented way. Although intellectual capital (CI) has been identified as one of its triggers, one step forward is to understand the role that other variables have in this relationship. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to determine the mediating function of absorptive capacity (CA) in the relationship between CI and organizational innovation in higher education institutes in southern Tamaulipas. Method: from the 31 existing higher education institutes in southern Tamaulipas, those with less than 50 employees were selected, reducing to 27 schools. In this institutions, 92 teacher questionnaires were applicated in the first semester of 2020 to later apply a structural equations model with the PLS technique. Results: the evidence confirms the mediating role of CA in the relationship between CI and organizational innovation. Likewise, the results allow to observe a positive and significant effect of the CI and CA variables on organizational innovation. Discussion: the result broadens the knowledge of the mediating function that CA has in the relationship between CI and organizational innovation, in the same way it suggests that to the extent that this effect of CA can be controlled, innovation could be favored. Introduction: The influence of intellectual capital on innovation has frequently been studied at the organizational level with the perceptions that individuals have towards their employer; however, little attention has been given to the level of the individual with employees' perceptions of themselves. Therefore, this work aims to measure the influence that intellectual capital has on the intention of innovation at the individual level with a data collection instrument based on selfperceptions. Method: Through a case study, 97 questionnaires were applied to employees of a large service company in the city of Tampico in the month of December 2019. The observations were then treated with a structural equation model based on the analysis of variance with Smartpls software. The present investigation chose the population under study based on a census. Results: Intellectual capital has a positive and significant influence through 2 of its components (structural and relational capital) on the intention of innovation at the individual level. Discussion or Conclusion: The main component of intellectual capital (human capital) did not influence the intention of innovation at the individual level and it can be explained based on previous approaches at the organizational level and by the characteristics of the company. On the other hand, it was shown that the perspective of the individual based on self-perceptions can be valid to measure the relationship between intellectual capital and innovation. This research evaluates the relationship of social capital with the integration of processes in the supply chain management in companies of the real sector in Colombia, mediated by their organizational size and the uncertainty of the environment. For this purpose, 232 companies associated to the real sector in Colombia were surveyed and with the information obtained, multivariate analysis of structural equations was made with the SPSS and AMOS tools. Regional systems for innovation strengthen the competitive growth in the territories. The factor analysis of the regional systems for agri-food innovation in Colombia unveiled a direct relationship between the business articulation and the relational capital in order to enhance the sales based on innovation. Due to the heterogeneity and geographic scattering of the studied innovation systems, it was not possible to find a single intervention route for these systems. This document provides a documented reflection on ethical management in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and their influence in establishing trust relationships with different stakeholders. HEI establish long-term relationships with stakeholders. These relationships are generated through the trust and ethical behavior of missionary activities and partners. Trust becomes an intangible asset expressed through the relational capital of HEI. Among the main results, it was found that the ethical behavior and institutional resources management allow HEI to satisfy the particular requirements of each of the stakeholders, based on the integration of individual, professional and organizational values. This paper describes the value that a company has in relation to its intangible assets through the diagnosis of its intellectual capital. In fact, it aims at assessing the existing intellectual capital of a Mexican textile manufacturing company by the identification of knowledge, capacities, experiences, and staff skills. For this, it was necessary to identify each element involved in its intellectual capital --human, organizational, and relational-- with the purpose of approaching existing strengths and weaknesses. The methodology used was basically descriptive, aiming at describing the relevant components of intellectual capital. Consequently, data and statistics about company staff were collected --57 employees--, based on questionnaires and polls and the outcomes were ranged in a scale from 1 to 5, being 5 the highest rate for each intellectual capital dimension. The results were as follows: 4.27 for relational capital; 3,80 for organizational capital, and 3,69 for human capital. The target of this article is to investigate the incidence of variables that compose Intellectual Capital in the financial performance of Institutions of Higher Education, specifically at the universities of Chile. The following article aims to conceptualize the social collaborator of knowledge from the notion of intellectual capital. In this sense, several knowledge management models for companies are reviewed and the concept of knowledge worker is defined. Then, the current status of the discussion about the creation and management of knowledge is examined. The present study focuses on how the amount of resources available in a negotiation, when they increase or decrease, influences the relational and economic capital in a negotiation. The authors argue the relationships between negotiators and the outcomes they achieve depend on the specific sequence of available resources and on the social motivation of the parties. In an experimental longitudinal study, students participated during three weeks in a distributive negotiation task. Results show that decreasing sequences lead to worse quality agreements and as predicted pro socially motivated reached higher relational outcomes than proself motivated negotiators regardless of the sequence. Consistent with the authors' hypotheses, increasing sequences and a prosocial motive promoted economic outcomes and relational capital, suggesting that the relationships between negotiators depend on the sequence of the outcomes and the social motivation. Networks of business cooperation in rural localities, can be as critical as other traditional factors to promote competitiveness. Such is the case of Sinaloa's municipalities of Esquinapa and El Rosario, specializing in the cultivation and commercialization of mango. However, among the investigated farmers of that localities, still prevail cooperation networks that depend of family and neighborhood relationships, which are of low intensity, limited geographical scope and poorly diversified. Moreover, most of them reach a weak level of insertion into networks, which partly explains their low business competitiveness. To deal this problem, we propose to consider various territorial factors that could contribute to maintaining the economic viability of rural communities such as the investigated. In the current socio-economic context, an important source of firm success relies on its continued efforts devoted in the area of technological innovation. The above mentioned efforts are the result of a shared action among all or the majority of members and organizational units of a firm, as well as of the relations that it can develop with its customers, allies, suppliers, etc. In this sense, and based on the Open Innovation perspective, we could analyze social and relational capital as key factors to achieve technological innovation and, then, firm success. Taking into account these arguments, and using the Intellectual Capital-based View, this research -- for a sample of 251 firms -- tries to give empirical evidence about the role of social and relational capital on product and process innovation. The obtained results show the key role of both capitals on technological innovation for the case of Spanish technology-based industries, emphasizing the inter-organizational relationships among the firm with its customers and suppliers. Industrias Lácteas Asturianas, S.A. (ILAS) is the leading Spanish multinational in the dairy sector. It has productive subsidiaries in Mexico, United States, France, Poland, and China. This paper summarizes the distinctive features of its growth path, especially highlighting those related to its international expansion. The analysis of its business model, aimed at extracting the full potential of its raw material, and its discriminatory internationalization strategy, shed new light about how, even in traditional sectors, firms can develop a sustainable growth strategy based on classic competitive advantages like operative efficiency, the early adoption of technologies and relational capital. Organizational knowledge and its different forms play a critical role in order to effectively develop the products and processes of the firm (Kogut and Zander, 1996; Teece, 1998; Ategre and Lapiedra, 2005). This work explores the influence of the different forms of organizational knowledge (or Intellectual Capital) on the innovation capability of professional service firms. For reaching this purpose, in a first section, an exploratory factor analysis is earned out, obtaining the three main blocks of Intellectual Capital: Human Capital, Structural Capital, and Relational Capital. In the next step, the basic hypothesis about the positive influence of these kinds of Intellectual Capital (and their main dimensions) on firm innovation, are presented. Of the diverse profiles required for implementing knowledge management, perhaps the most important is the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO). That person is in charge of creating a knowledge management infrastructure, leading it, and building a knowledge culture. After applying a logistical polytomic regression model to 88 MSMEs, this article analyzes the influence that the figure of CKO has over creating relational capital (RC). The main conclusions drawn indicate that, although it is true that systemized knowledge in the form of agreements has a positive influence on the first levels of RC, it is also true that it will have trouble reaching the advanced levels of RC if the CKO does not inculcate values in the stakeholders, such as trust, mutual benefit, and commitment. The companies that offer services manage as many as intangible assets than the industrial companies do. Generally the products of the sector of the industrial goods and consumption ones, have a high component of tangible elements, where as the products of the sector of services are composed of a high spectrum of intangible elements, always combined into different proportions. All this, justifies the objective of this paper which is demonstrate the importance that the sector of services will have, for the tourist sector, the measuring of its intellectual capital or intangible capital.
