Context: The waiting times for medical attention constitutes one of the main barriers to access to the Healthcare System in Argentina. Objective: Analyse different times that people have to keep in the waiting room and between the request for an appointment and the medical attention with a specialist according to their socio-economic and demographic characteristics, the type of health coverage and place of residence. Method: quantitative, based on the analysis of secondary data. It was implemented in the Survey of "La Deuda Social Argentina" of the year 2013, conducted by the "Observatorio de la Deuda Social Argentina (Universidad Católica Argenitna)". Results: The waiting time to see a doctor it's socially stratified according to socioeconomic characteristics, type of medical coverage and place of residence of the population.
