Günümüze kadar ulaşan tapınak ve sunak kalıntılarından anlaşıldığı üzere binlerce yıllık şehirlerde ve medeniyetlerde din, insan hayatının merkezindeydi. Bugün de aynı şekilde din, toplumların rotasını, devletlerin politikasını, insanlar arasındaki ilişkinin seyrini az veya çok etkileyen bir unsurdur. En seküler görünümlü toplumlarda bile din hukukun, eğitimin, sosyal politikaların hatta sağlık hizmetlerinin çerçevesi içerisinde tartışılmaktadır. Laikliğin ana yurdu Fransa’nın laikliği bile vaftiz edilmiş laiklik olarak nitelenirken dinin öneminin ihmal edilmesi imkânsızdır. Bu nedenle sosyal bilimler alanının en önemli ve kadim disiplinlerinden birisi din çalışmalarıdır, demek son derece isabetli olacaktır. Dinlerin kaynağının, tarihinin, içeriğinin, sınırlarının, insanlar ve toplumlar üzerindeki etkisinin ne olduğunu araştırmak ve bulguları, bilgileri insanlarla paylaşmak din çalışmalarının odağıdır. Bununla beraber din olgusu farklı yönlerine temas edilmek suretiyle farklı din çalışmaları disiplinlerince ele alınmaktadır. Bir dinin içeriğinin tespit edilmesi bir çeşit din çalışması metodunu gerektirirken aynı dinin insan üzerindeki etkisinin tespit edilmesi ise başka bir metodu gerekli kılmaktadır. Müstakil bir dinden bağımsız olarak din olgusunun mahiyeti tespit edilecekse de daha farklı bir metoda başvurmak gerekmektedir. Dinin farklı yönlerden ele alınma zorunluluğunun bir sonucu olarak din çalışmalarında çeşitli metotlar ortaya konulmuştur. Günümüzde eğitim alanında öncü olan ülkelerde birçok alanda olduğu gibi din çalışmaları alanında da metot farkı gözetilmiş ve ciddiye alınmıştır. Din çalışmaları yapan kurumlar bu farklılıklara istinaden farklı isimlendirilmiştir. Batı’yı esas aldığımızda bu isimleri Religious Studies, Theology, Divinity Schools, Seminaries ve Biblical Studies/Collages şeklinde sıralayabiliriz. Ülkemizde ise din çalışmaları İlahiyat Fakültesi, İslamî İlimler Fakültesi, Dinî Yüksek İhtisas ve Eğitim Merkezleri gibi isimler altında yapılmaktadır. Bu isimlendirmelerin en ideal şekliyle metot farklarına dayanması beklenmektedir. Böylece her kurumun din çalışmalarındaki sınırı ve sunduğu hizmetin niteliği netleşmiş olacaktır. Bu tebliğde ilk olarak Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ve İngiltere örneği üzerinden din alanında sunulan lisansüstü eğitim hakkında metot ve içeriğe dair bilgiler verilecektir. İkinci olarak ülkemizdeki mezkûr kurumlarla kısa bir karşılaştırması yapılacaktır. Böylece bu tebliğ ile hem yurt dışında ilahiyat alanında lisansüstü eğitim almak isteyenlere fayda sağlamak hem de ülkemizin ilahiyat eğitiminin mevcut durumuna dair bilgi sahibi olmak isteyenlerin karşılaştırmalı bir şekilde meseleye yaklaşmasına imkân sağlamak hedeflenmektedir. * Bu çalışma, 2. Türkiye Sosyal Bilimler Sempozyumu’nda sözlü olarak sunulan ancak tam metni yayımlanmayan “İlahiyat Alanında Yurt Dışında Lisansüstü Eğitim: ABD ve İngiltere Örneği” adlı tebliğin içeriği geliştirilerek ve kısmen değiştirilerek üretilmiş hâlidir., Ruins of sanctuaries and altars prove that religion was at the center of human life in ancient cities and civilizations. Today, likewise, religion is an element that somewhat determines the route of societies, the politics of the states, and the course of relations among people. Even in some cultures that look very secular, religion is a part of debates in law, education, social policies, and even health services. While even the secularism of France, the homeland of secularism, is a kind of secularism baptized, it is impossible to ignore the significance of religion. Thus, it is entirely appropriate to say that the study of religion is one of the most important and oldest disciplines in the field of social sciences. The main focus of the studies of religion is to research the root, history, content, and borders of religions and their effect on individuals and societies, as well as to share findings with people. In addition, scholars assess the phenomenon of religion in various ways by touching on its different aspects. While determining a religion's content requires a method, determining the effects of the same religion on people requires another kind of method. If the aim is to determine the quiddity of the phenomenon of religion as independent from a specific religion, it requires quite another method. In other words, due to the need to consider religion through various aspects, different methods have appeared in the studies of religion. Today some countries that are pioneers in education consider the varieties of methods in studying religion, as they do in many fields. As a result of this kind of variety, institutions that deal with the study of religion have had different names. When we take the West as a basis, these names are such: Religious Studies, Theology, Divinity Schools, Seminaries, and Biblical Studies/Collages. As for our country, they are İlahiyat Fakültesi, İslamî İlimler Fakültesi, and Dinî Yüksek İhtisas ve Eğitim Merkezi. This kind of classification is expected to base on the different methods in an ideal way. In this way, we may clearly understand the limits and quality of educational services those institutions provide. In this presentation, firstly, there will be some information about the method and content of graduate education in studying religion in the USA and UK. Secondly, we will compare these institutions in the USA and UK with those in our country. This way, this presentation will be helpful to whoever wants to study religion in these countries and whoever wants to know comparatively about the present situation of studying religion in our country. * This paper is the revised and developed version of the unpublished conference presentation entitled “Graduate Study Abroad on Theology: The Case of USA and UK”, orally delivered at the 2nd Turkish Symposium of Social Sciences.

İnsan şahsiyetini bütünüyle kapsayan din, inanç, amel ve hizmetler bu hayata yön verir. İbadetler insan hayatının derinliklerini düzenler. İbadetler kişiyi şahsiyetli bir kul yapar. Eğitilmiş bir kulun fiili olan ibadetler, sonuçta yine bir eğitim faaliyeti yapar. Kur'ân verileri ışığında bir değerlendirme yapacak olursak, ibadetlerin, insanın ilgi ve eğilimleriyle ayrılmaz bir birliktelik içerisinde olduğunu görürüz. Namaz insanı kötülükten alıkor, ilgi ve eğilimlerin başıboş, kontrolsüz doyum arayışını engeller. Oruç, özellikle insanın fizyolojik güdülerini hedef alır. Sahib olma ve çıkar güdüsüne zekât ibadeti müdahale ederken, toplumsal ilgi, güven arayışı ve saldırganlık eğilimine hac ibadetiyle yön verilir.Biz bu çalışmamızda İslam Dininin temel ibadetlerinden olan namaz üzerinde bir araştırma yaptık. Namazın önemini, hikmetini ve farziyetini birçok kişi bilmesine rağmen bu ibadeti yapmada bir gevşeklik görülmektedir. Biz de din eğitimcisi olarak namaza karşı olan bu tutumun bir eğitim problemi olduğunu düşünerek konuya yaklaştık. Bu itibarla Kur'an'ın namazı bizlere nasıl öğrettiğini, hangi kelimelerle dikkatimizi çektiğini araştırmaya çalıştık. Hz. Peygamber'in de hem kavli hem de fiili sünnetlerinde namaz eğitimini ashaba nasıl verdiğini çalışmamızda göstermeye çalıştık. Bunun yanında temel kaynaklarımızda bazı İslam alimlerinin de Kur'an ve hadis ışığında namaz hakkındaki görüşlerini tezimize yansıttık.Bu çalışmayla amacımız namaz konusunda doğru bir eğitimdir. Dinin temel şartlarından olan namaz ibadetinin doğru bir eğitimle verilmesi sonucunda hem namaz konusunda devam sağlanacaktır hem de namazın niteliği artacaktır. Çalışmamız 4 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde genel olarak eğitim kavramı üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bölüm içerisinde din eğitimi hakkında da bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise ibadet kavramı ele alınmış ve yine bu kavram içerisinde namaz üzerinde araştırma yapılmıştır. Namazın tarihçesi, namaz ile ilgili kavramlar bu bölüm içerisinde yer almıştır. Aynı zamanda ibadetin karakter eğitimi üzerindeki etkileri de bu bölüm içerisinde incelenmiştir.. Üçüncü bölümde namaz eğitimi üzerine Kur'an-ı Kerim'den, kavli ve fiili sünnetten örnekler verilmiş ve bu örnekler üzerinden namaz ibadetinin nasıl öğretileceği üzerinde durulmuştur. Ayrıca temel kaynaklarda İslam alimlerinin namaz eğitimi üzerine açıklamaları da bu bölümde yer almıştır.Dinin direği, göz nuru, baş tacı, cennet anahtarı olan namazın doğru şekilde öğretilmesi bunun sonucunda da namaz ibadetinin devamlı olması amacını taşıyan bu çalışmada gayret bizden, tevfik ve hidayet Allah'tandır. Religion, faith, good deeds and services guides human beings by exclusively covering their lives. Worships, the ibadats, regulate the depth of human life. They help a person to become a righteous servant to Allah. Ibadats, as the deeds of an educated servant, function as an integral part of education activity. From the view of Quranic perspective, we see that the ibadats are inseparably together with human interest and desires. Salaat (prayer) keeps one who performs it from falsehood and also rids him from the worldly pressures led by uncontrollable human desires for satisfaction. Fasting (Siyam) is specifically targeted to control physical needs of humans. Zakaat disciplines the acquisitive instinct of people. Hajj guides social interest, confidence building and behavioral tendencies toward aggression.In this paper, we have studied Salaat, which is one of the most important pillars of Islam. Although most of the people already are already aware of the importance, purpose and obligatory nature of salaat, there is sluggishness in performing this daily prayer. As a religious teacher, my approach in this paper has been shaped by the assumption that this behavior is a result of insufficient religious education. In this regard, this study tries to explore how Quran teaches salaat to the people and which words Quran uses to emphasize the salaat. In this study, by examining the honored sayings and acts (sunnahs) of the Prophet (peace upon Him) I also intend to show how the Messenger (peace upon Him) educates his ashab (the companions) regarding performing salaat. Besides this paper also reflects the views and opinions of Islamic scholars about salaat who compiled them in accordance with the principles of Quran and hadiths.The principal aim of this study is to discover the bases of a good education about salaat. Through obtaining good education about salaat, which is one of fundamental pillars of religion, both the continuity of practicing and quality of salaat can been increased. This paper is consisted of four chapters. In the first chapter, general concept of education has been discussed. In this section, general information on religious education has also been given. In the second chapter, the notion of worship (ibadat) has been discussed and salaat has been studied within the framework of this notion. Here, the chronology of salaat and concepts that related to salaat have been studied. In this section, the impacts of salaat over self-education have also dealt with. In the third chapter, the verses of Holy Quran and honored sayings and acts (hadith and sunnah) of the Prophet (peace be upon him) on education of salaat have been exemplified. Through these examples, this chapter tries to explore how education of salaat should be designated. In this section, the views of Islamic scholars on salaat have also been discussed. In the last chapter, the negative behaviors of families and social environment over education process of salaat have been discussed through the examples and some recommendations have been proposed to address and solve this problemThe aim of this study is to provide a ground for better education of salaat which is considered as the pillar of religion and the key to heaven and in this way to contribute to constitute a continuous practice of salaat. 114

Seçmeli Kur'an dersine giren öğretmenlerin Kur'an dersi ile ilgili öğretim programı, amaç ve hedefler, dersin seçilme durumu, dersin içeriği, eğitim öğretim süreci, ölçme ve değerlendirme, yeterlilikleri, yaşanılan sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri ile ilgili görüş ve düşüncelerinin ele alındığı bu araştırmanın amacı: Öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre seçmeli Kur'an dersi ile ilgili bir durum tespiti yapmak, yaşadıkları sorunları belirlemek ve çözüm önerilerinde bulunmaktır. Bu araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmamızda, nitel araştırma deseni olarak durum analizi ile kültür analizinden yararlanılmıştır. 2016 yılı Temmuz-Aralık ayları arasında gönüllülük esasına göre Türkiye'nin farklı bölgelerinde ve farklı şehirlerinde görev yapan toplam 26 öğretmenle görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan veriler, yarı standartlaştırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Ardından toplanan bu veriler analiz edilmiş, yorumlanmış ve değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.Araştırmamızın sonucunda öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre öğretim programının yeterli olmadığı, seçmeli Kur'an dersinin seçilmesinde özellikle öğrencinin kendi tercihi, ailesi ile okul idaresinin etkili olduğu, seçmeli Kur'an dersinin verimliliğini belirleyenin, öğrencinin kendi isteği ile bu dersi seçmesi olduğu, seçmeli Kur'an dersinin öğrencinin dindarlığını, ahlakını ve davranışlarını az ya da çok olumlu etkilediği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Öte yandan öğretmenlerin seçmeli Kur'an dersinde, sınıf mevcutlarının kalabalık olması, öğrencilerin Kur'an-ı Kerim ile ilgili hazır bulunuşluk seviyelerindeki farklılıklar, öğrencilerin isteksizliği, dersin seçmeli olmasından dolayı öğrencilerin yeterli önemi vermemesi, seçmeli Kur'an dersi için ayrı bir sınıfın bulunmaması, Kur'an dersinin niteliği sebebiyle sınıf hâkimiyetinin sağlanamaması, ders saatinin yetersizliği, öğrencilerin Kur'an dersinden beklentilerinin farklı olması ve ailelerin yeterli bilince sahip olmaması sorunlarıyla karşılaştıkları görülmüştür.Ulaşılan diğer bir sonuç: Seçmeli Kur'an dersinde öğretmenin samimi, gayretli ve öğretme sevgisiyle dolu olması, öğrenciye dersin sevdirilmesi ile öğrencinin derse istekli hâle getirilmesi, öğretmen-veli işbirliğinin sağlanması, öğretmence öğrencinin iyi tanınması, öğrencilerle birebir ilgilenilmesi, dersin etkinliklerle daha eğlenceli daha ilgi çekici hâle getirilmesi ve öğrenciler üzerinde not baskısının yapılmaması gerektiğidir. The main goal of this thesis dealing with the Quran teachers' thoughts about the curriculum, aims, objectives, content, learning process, feasibility and the evaluation of Quran lessons is to determine the ideas of Quran teachers on the field; to release the problems they face and to make some useful suggestions.It is used a qualitative methood in this study. It is benefitted from the situational research and cultural analysis papers. In 2016 between July and December made interviews with 26 volunteered teachers teaching all around the Turkey. The data used in this study is obtained from the semi-standardized surveys. And then those surveys are carefully analysed, interpreted and evaluated.At the end of the study, according to the teachers' point of view, it is clearly understood that the curriculum of Quran lesson is not sufficient enough; the lesson is chosen by the student him/herself, their parents and the school management. On the other hand, the willingness of the students is more efficient and the Quran lessons more or less affects the moral and ethics of the students in a positive way.On the other hand, teachers face some problems such as; crowded classrooms; unsufficient background of students and the level differences among them moreover the unwillingness and the ignorance of the students as it is an elective lesson; inadequate classroom atmosphere; the non efficient classroom management; the students expectations and the unconsciousness of the parents. An other results is that: It is necessary that Quran teachers are supposed to be sincere, energetic and willing to learn new things; make students love the lesson and draw students attention; make teacher- parent connection; realise the students' capacity well take care of the studens individually make lessons more attractive and not to make pressure over students' grades. 124

Deneysel çalışma, 2011 yılında, İstanbul’un Gaziosmanpaşa ilçesindeki Karlıtepe Ortaokulu’nda 6. Sınıfta öğrenim gören 83 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri, Kişisel Bilgi Envanteri, Çocuklar İçin Empati Beceri Ölçeği ve Ahlaki Tutum Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Ölçekler öğrencilere uygulamadan önce ön test, uygulamadan sonra son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi SPSS programı kullanılarak, varyans analizi, t-testi ve Scheffe testleri ile yapılmıştır.Teorik inceleme sonucunda, empatinin İslami literatürde değinilen önemli bir kavram ve din ile ahlak öğretiminde kullanılabilir bir yöntem olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca empati becerisine dayalı etkinliklerin, öğrencilerin ahlaki bilinç, duygu ve davranış düzeyini etkileyen önemli bir faktör olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Deneysel çalışmada elde edilen bulgular sonucunda ise empati becerisine dayalı öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinin, öğrencilerin ahlaki tutum düzeylerine olumlu yönde katkı sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The objective of this research is to examine concept of empathy as a teaching method in religious education, prove that it is an applicable method for moral education and research the impact of method on moral behavior levels of students. In the research, moral behavior levels of students in the class where empathy skill-based teaching method and techniques have been practiced and moral behavior levels of students in the class where traditional teaching method and techniques have been practiced have been examined taking into account some personal variables. Experimental study was conducted on 83 students attending 6th grade of Karlitepe Secondary School in Gaziosmanpasa district of Istanbul. The data of study was collected by means of Personal Information Inventory, Empathy Skill Scale for Children and Moral Behavior Scale. The scales were applied to children as pre-test before practice and post-test after the practice. Statistical analysis of data was undertaken by means of using SPSS program, variance analysis, t-test and Scheffe tests. As a consequence of theoretical examination, it has been concluded that empathy is an important concept referred in Islamic literature and an applicable method which can be benefitted in religious and moral education. Furthermore, it has also been concluded that empathy skill-based activities are significant factors affecting moral awareness, emotion and behavior levels of students. As a result of findings obtained during experimental study, it was understood that empathy skill-based teaching methods and techniques contributes in a positive way into moral behavior levels of students. Additionally, it was found that variables such as academic success, geographical origin, family behaviors, number of siblings, income level of family, and empathy skill are substantial factors affecting moral behavior levels of students.

06.03.2018 tarihli ve 30352 sayılı Resmi Gazetede yayımlanan “Yükseköğretim Kanunu İle Bazı Kanun Ve Kanun Hükmünde Kararnamelerde Değişiklik Yapılması Hakkında Kanun” ile 18.06.2018 tarihli “Lisansüstü Tezlerin Elektronik Ortamda Toplanması, Düzenlenmesi ve Erişime Açılmasına İlişkin Yönerge” gereğince tam metin erişime açılmıştır. Son çeyrek yüzyılda hızlanan küreselleşme süreci, kitle iletişim araçlarının yaygınlığı, çok uluslu kuruluşların öneminin artması, göçler gibi küresel düzeyde meydana gelen gelişmeler ve paradigmal değişiklikler, çoğulculuk olgusunu her geçen gün daha çok gündeme taşımakta ve olgu kendisini çalışmalarda daha fazla hissettirmektedir. Çoğulculuk söylemleriyle günümüz toplumlarındaki etnik, kültürel, dinsel ve dünya görüşleri açısından farklılıkların, özellikle kültür ve eğitim alanlarında taleplerinin olduğu görülmekte ve bu durumun eğitim politikaları ve programlarında yeni anlayışları doğuracağı öngörülmektedir.Bu çalışmayla esas manada, son dönemlerde farklı alanlarda sıkça karşılaştığımız çoğulculuk olgusunun, öncelikle ona katkı yapan düşünürlerin fikirleri çerçevesinde ele alınarak betimlenmesi, ardından da buna bağlı olarak çoğulculuğun kültürel, dinsel ve siyasal boyutlarının genelde din eğitimine etkilerinin, özelde ise konunun Türkiye bağlamında tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem olarak betimleyici bir yaklaşım tercih edilmiştir.Literatürün yorumlanmasıyla ulaşılan bulgular bizi; (I) özellikle Sovyetler Birliğinin dağılması, 11 Eylül 2001 terör saldırıları gibi yakın dönemde uluslararası düzeydeki gelişmelerin din eğitimine ilgiyi artırdığı; (II) bu dönemde okullarda din eğitiminin amacı ne olmalıdır ve nasıl bir din eğitimi soruları üzerinde daha fazla durulduğu; (III) okullarda din eğitiminin geleneksel bir mezhep veya dinin savunuculuğunu yapacak şekilde verilmesinin eleştirilmeye başlandığı ve (IV) çoğulcu din eğitimi modellerinin daha fazla ilgi gördüğü sonucuna götürmüştür.Yine araştırmada, çoğulculuğa ilişkin, tek bir anlayıştan ziyade farklı yaklaşımların olduğu; bunlardan liberal teorinin bireysel hakları öne alan yaklaşımı ile grup haklarını temel alan toplulukçu /cemaatçi yaklaşım biçimlerinin ön plana çıktığı; ancak uzlaşmaya dayalı, süreç odaklı ?çokluk içinde birlik? vurgusuna sahip Habermas'ın çoğulculuk anlayışının, Türkiye bağlamında, okullarda yer alan din derslerinin politika ve pedagojisinde daha uygulanabilir olduğu değerlendirmesine ulaşılmıştır. Worldwide developments and paradigmatic changes such as the globalism process that has gained speed in the last quarter-century, the spreading of the means of mass media, the rise in the importance of multi-national organisations, and migrations have been laying growing importance on the issue of pluralism and one can feel its existence in recent studies more than before. Discussions on pluralism mainly hint at ethnical, cultural, religious, and world views of in today?s societies and at demands on cultural and educational fields in particular, and this state is foreseen to give rise to new visions in educational policies and programs.This paper basically aims to describe the issue of pluralism that we have frequently been coming accross in varied fields; initially within the framework of the ideas of philosophers that have contributed to it, and then to discuss the impacts that cultural, religious, and political dimensions of pluralism have had on religious education in general, and on the context of Turkey in particular. With regards to the nature of the research, a descriptive approach has been adopted as the method.The interpretation of literatüre has led us to results that; (I) recent international developments, particularly the collapse of the Soviet Union and the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks have caused a rise in the interest towards religious education, (II) the questions concerning what should be the purpose and the content of religious education given at schools have gained importance, (III) serving religious education at schools in a way that favours a traditional denominational or a confessional religious education has begun to be put into question and (IV) pluralistic religious education models receive more interest.The research has also led us to the conclusion that a variety of approaches rather than one concerning pluralism have existed; among these, the liberal theory?s approach that favours personal rights and the community/congregation-based approach that frames its discussions on groups? rights have become more prominent; however, Habermas? consensus-based, process-oriented idea of pluralism, that stresses ?unity in plurality?, seems to be more applicable to the policy and pedagogy of the religious education courses at schools in Turkey.
