(Co25Cr15Fe20Ni40)83Al17 is a eutectic high entropy alloy (EHEA), which is composed of face centered cubic (FCC) and body centered cubic (BCC) phases. This dual (FCC+BCC) phase mixture provides good ductility and strength combination. In the scope of this study, it was aimed to analyze the effect of mechanical, thermal and thermomechanical processes on the microstructure and hardness of (Co25Cr15Fe20Ni40)83Al17 EHEA, which was produced by the vacuum arc melting and casting method. With this aim, cold and hot rolling as well as different annealing treatments were applied to the as-cast plates. The cold-rolling was performed at room temperature while the hot rolling temperature was varied in between 500-1000℃. The maximum deformation that can be applied was 50% and 60 % after cold and hot rolling, respectively. The limited deformability was attributed to the increased BCC/B2 content in the eutectic phase mixture with the applied deformation. The hardness was increased from 280 HV to 412 HV after 50% cold-rolling. A similar high hardness value (399 HV) was obtained after ~50% deformation at 750℃, indicating that the dynamic recrystallization had no significant effect up to 1000℃.

Bu çalışmada antiprotozoal etkili amprolyum HCl, kanın pıhtılaşmasını önleme açısından etkili vitamin K3, antimikrobiyal koruyucu etkili metilparaben ve propilparabeni bir arada içeren oral enjeksiyon çözeltisinin zaman açısından avantajı nedeniyle tek bir HPLC yöntemi ile miktar tayini ve validasyon çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Analizlerde 25°C'de İnertsil C8-3 4,6 x 250 mm, 5 µm kolon, 254nm’de dalga boyunda heptan-1-sülfonik asit sodyum tuzu, glasiyel asetik asit, trietilamin tampon çözeltisi ve asetonitril ve metanol kullanılmıştır. Seçicilik, sistem uygunluk, doğrusallık ve doğruluk parametreleri çalışılmış ve kabul edilebilir sonuçlar elde edilmiştir.

Pleural empyema is a serious problem which affects any age group and still there is no standard approach. Our purpose in this study was to assess the safety, feasibility and efficacy of the video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). Between 1997 and 2004 83 patients with empyema were enrolled in this study. Fifty-four patients were male, 29 females and the mean age was 39.4. The mean duration time of symptoms before VATS was 27.3 days. Twenty-two patients were in group-5, 44 in group-6 and 17 in group-7 according to Light's classification of parapneumonic effusions and empyema. Twenty-one patients underwent chest tube before VATS because of their conditions. VATS was converted to thoracotomy in 13 patients. All patients underwent debridement and irrigation during VATS. The cure was achieved in 58 (69.9%) patients with the mean 7.63 days drainage time. Twelve patients were underwent open decortication in the follow-up period. Ten of them were group-7 and 2 in group-6 (p= 0.006). The diagnosis was achieved in 60 (72.3%) patients as nonspecific pleuritis, tuberculosis in 19 and various diagnosis in 4. There was no mortality and minor complications occured in 14 patients. VATS is a safety and efficacy procedure in the treatment of early stage empyema. Use of VATS in early period of multiloculary empyema, prevents patients from unnecessary thoracotomies.

Conventional angiography, which is the gold standard in vascular imaging, is invasive and has several known potential complications. Therefore, in recent years, less invasive techniques such as computed tomography (CT), angiography and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) have became more widely used. With the advent of multi-detector technology, multi-detector CT angiography has replaced conventional angiography in most clinical circumstances. In this manuscript, the technique and clinical applications of multi-detector CT angiography are discussed with various examples.
