In this study, the purpose was to create an Institutional Performance Report based on multidimensional measurement and evaluation system, which will increase the institutional performances of cooperatives, which are important for agricultural sector, which will contribute to the decision-making processes of managers, and which will be adapted to the structures of cooperatives. The questionnaire that was used to obtain the study data in the scope of the study was created as a result of a 9-week effort with a 5-people workgroup of managers. The questionnaire was sent to 140 managers who worked at Central Union of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and 17 Regional Units. A total of 105 questionnaires were returned by the managers. At the end of the study, that the financial and common aspects are in the foreground in agricultural cooperatives, learning and development aspects are background was stated and solution suggestions were developed.

The present study aims to determine the transformation of public finance by analyzing 330 articles which were published in Maliye Dergisi between the years 2007-2016 through bibliometric analysis. Furthermore, the studies which were published in Maliye Dergisi which has an important place in the Turkish public finance will be evaluated in terms of different variables as a result of the analysis. The most interesting result of the study is the increase of empirical studies in the field of public finance in the recent years.

This study aims to list the long-lasting businesses in Turkey. In the scope of the research, primarily, a draft list was prepared, based on information obtained from academic sources. Following this phase, new data were gathered from internet search engines throughout various stages. In the final phase of the research, 289 long-lasting businesses founded in between 1777-1928 were revealed. Many of these businesses were found to be operating in the food industry and were located in the province of Istanbul. A significant increase in the number of businesses after the 1900s was also observed. This study aims to provide a reference source for further business history research with the list of the revealed long-lasting businesses presented in this paper.

In order to keep up with the next generation of technology and accommodate ever-increasing consumer demands for options, convenience, and, of course, the lowest prices, businesses must build their strategies on appropriate technology that can answer those demands. This paper will discuss the benefits, challenges, and implications of SMAC (social, mobile, analytics, cloud) technology and the effects of SMAC implementation on a business's enterprise architecture and IT.The research supports the utilization of social, mobile, analytics, and cloud (SMAC) technology to respond to consumer demands based on a review of the literature. Real-world considerations are offered to the reader on implementation and application of SMAC technology into today's business world.SMAC technology offers a state-of-the-art, adaptable enterprise solution that addresses these needs and can project a business's enterprise platform into today's modern economy. Although incorporating SMAC technology into an enterprise presents challenges, namely with security and high user expectations, the SMAC technology also offers a multitude of benefits. Effective change management, including assimilation of SMAC technology into an organization's culture, and communication at all levels of an organization are key to the successful implementation of the SMAC stack. Hurbean and Fotache's (2013) research concludes that businesses are wise to adopt "the third platform" of social media, mobility, big data, and cloud computing, and the authors of this paper agree with these findings based on the research conducted.

For this purpose, semi structured interviews were made with the managers of operation and information technology departments in the bank which has applied coopetition to increase its credit card market share in the Turkish banking sector since 2007. With these interviews, the effect of coopetition on organizational learning has been explored. On the other hand the importance of documentation and communication on organizational learning, the effect of coopetition on people, information system and organizational process of the bank were also explored in this study.

This article empirically analyzes the relationship between the global gold price changes and the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Expenditures, along with Baltic Dry Index (BDI). Based on the data between 1988 and 2012, the ARDL Bounds cointegration analysis indicates that the global gold prices are significantly and positively related with SNAP expenditures both in short and long term, while it is positively yet much less significantly related with BDI only in the short term. Toda-Yamamoto Test indicates one-way causality from SNAP to gold prices. In sum, the increase in the poverty level in the U.S. causes the increase in the global gold prices. This study provides a new empirical evidence as to how the economic condition of the U.S. affects the global economy. The positive relationship between BDI and gold prices in the short term may be explained by the case that the plentiful liquidity as a result of economic revival may be heading to gold investment, causing the increase in the price.

It is not quite possible to claim that the factors behind the success or failure of mergers or takeovers have been subject to sufficient analysis in Turkey although such endeavors have been gaining an observable impetus. To rectify this absence in the literature, the marriage between Halkbank and Pamukbank has been investigated with an inquisitive approach and a theoretical frame is proposed to constitute a basis for ensuing studies. Semi-structured interviews arranged with 4 top-level executives and findings were analyzed in accordance with the grounded theory developed by Glasner and Strauss (1967). As a result of evaluation conducted within this framework, a set of factors, sometimes contradicting each other, such as staff focusing, top-executive leadership, quick decision making, project organization, function based structure, authority transfer, detailed planning, centralized control, and massive communication,, with each other are observed to be influential in the outcomes of mergers. https://doi.org/10.3848/iif.2009.279.5098
