This paper introduces an unpublished Greek agonistic inscription recorded during the epigraphic survey research carried out in 2021 within the scope of Attouda and its surrounding. The inscription was discovered embedded in one of the interior walls of a residential building in the Kuru District of the present-day Hisar Village in Saraykoy. The statue base bearing the inscription in question has been recorded on the interior wall of this nearly destroyed square-planned structure. The inscription is the first theatrical inscription found in the city so far. Metrodoros, the son of Metrodoros who is also the biological son of Claudius Thallus, is honored by the homeland in the inscription. Metrodoros was both a herald (kappa eta rho upsilon xi) and a comic actor (kappa omega mu omega delta omicron zeta). This is the first inscription documenting the names of Metrodoros and his father Claudius Thallus in the city which is also important with respect to recording these names and contributing the prosopography of Attouda. Unlike the published agonistic inscriptions recorded in the city so far, the person honored in this inscription is introduced with the names of two fathers. Another striking point is that the name of the agon in the fifteenth line seems intentionally deleted, an intervention that has also been observed in two published agonistic inscriptions found in the city. Based on the praenomen Claudius and letter forms, the inscription is dated to the 1st century AD and later.

Akademik kütüphanelerin kataloglama kütüphanecileri, kaynakların bibliyografik kayıtlarını üretirken; bu kaynakların raflarda fiziksel olarak erişilebilir olmaları yanında çevrim içi katalog kayıtlarına erişimini de engelsiz olarak sağlayabilmek için belli kuralları uygulamaktadırlar. Bu kurallar standartları ve kalite kontrolünü ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Kalite kontrolü mevcut durumu değerlendirmeyi, planlamayı ve iyileştirmeyi içeren sürekli bir süreçtir. Kalite kontrolü ile katalog kayıtlarının üretimindeki hatalar ortadan kaldırılmakta ve kütüphane kaynaklarının erişilebilir olması sağlanmaktır. Kurallara uygun katalog kayıtlarında kalite kontrolünün önemli bir rolü olduğunu görülmektedir. Kalite kontrolü uygulama süreçlerinde kataloglama kütüphanecilerinin kataloglama kuralları ve standartları hakkında eğitimler almaları da sürecin başarılı olması açısından önemlidir. İstinye Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi kataloglama standardını oluşturmak ve katalogda kaliteyi yakalamak için öncelikle standartlara uygunluğun tespitine yönelik bir yol haritası belirlenmiştir. Böylece katalog kayıtlarında kaliteyi yakalamaya çalışmak için geriye dönük kalite kontrollerini sağlayarak hataları düzeltmek, kaynakların erişilebilirliğini (fiziki ve çevrim içi olarak) arttırmak, kütüphane bütçesinin ve personel iş gücünün verimli kullanılmasına destek olmak hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışmada İstinye Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi Teknik Hizmetler Biriminin ürettiği basılı kitap bibliyografik kayıtlarının erişilebilir olması için neden kalite kontrolünün yapıldığı, hangi kalite kontrollerinin uyguladığını, kalite kontrolüne yönelik süreç ve iş akışlarının neler olduğu ele alınmakta, örneklerle anlatılmaktadır.

The presented study provides detailed analysis of the LQR controller design for motion control of a flexible link manipulator system with the optimization of control parameters. The main objective of proposed optimization ensures that the flexible link manipulator system reaches the desired angular position as soon as possible and eliminates tip deflections. The Vibrating Particle System algorithm used for the first time in the adjustment of LQR weight matrices with this study. The efficiency of the proposed approach has been showing by comparing it with well-known optimization algorithms such as Genetic Algorithm and Artificial Bee Colony. Also, multi-objective function is proposed that considers the important parameters of the control response for flexible link manipulator systems in this study. Parameters of optimization algorithms have been determined by searching a wide search space and each algorithm was examined in terms of four different population values in order to reach results for 100 iterations. Furthermore, the configurations that obtained the best control results for optimization algorithms are compared with each other according to the theoretical and experimental studies performed. The article is organized in a manner that presents the required theoretical background and the implementation-related details for each of the optimization algorithms introduced., Sunulan çalışma, bir esnek robot kol sisteminin hareket kontrolüne yönelik LQR denetleyici tasarımı ile kontrol parametrelerinin optimizasyonu hakkında ayrıntılı analizler sunmaktadır. Optimizasyonun temel amacı esnek robot kol sisteminin istenilen açısal konuma en hızlı şekilde gelmesini sağlamak ve uç sapmalarını ortadan kaldırmaktır. Titreşimli Parçacık Sistemi algoritması ilk kez bu çalışma ile LQR ağırlık matrislerinin ayarlanmasında kullanılmıştır. Önerilen yaklaşımın etkinliği, Genetik Algoritma ve Yapay Arı Kolonisi gibi iyi bilenen optimizasyon algoritmaları ile karşılaştırılarak gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma kapsamında esnek robotik sistemler için kontrol yanıtının önemli parametrelerini dikkate alan bir çoklu amaç fonksiyonu da önerilmektedir. Optimizasyon algoritmalarına ait parametreler geniş bir arama uzayı taranarak belirlenmiş olup her algoritma dört farklı popülasyon değeri altında incelenerek 100 iterasyon için sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Optimizasyon algoritmaları ile elde edilen en iyi kontrol sonuçları, esnek robot kol sistemine uygulanarak elde edilen sonuçlar teorik ve deneysel olarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Makale, tanıtılan optimizasyon algoritmalarının her biri için gerekli teorik arka plan ile uygulamaya yönelik ayrıntıları sunacak şekilde düzenlenmiştir.

Öz:Bu çalışmada top ve çubuk sistemi için kaskad PD+P kontrolcü katsayıları meta-sezgisel algoritmalar kullanılarak optimize edilmiştir. Laboratuvar ortamında birçok sistemin benzetiminin elde edilmesini sağlayan top ve çubuk sisteminin amacı çubuk üzerinde tek eksende serbest olarak hareket eden topun referans konuma ulaşması ve dengesinin sağlanmasıdır. Top ve çubuk sistemi hızlı ve yavaş dinamikleri aynı anda içinde barındırdığı için PD+P kaskad kontrolör tasarlanmıştır. Geleneksel kontrolcülere göre ayarlanması zor olan kaskad kontrolcü katsayıları Yapay Arı Kolonisi ve Öğretme Öğrenme Tabanlı Optimizasyon algoritmaları kullanılarak tayin edilmiştir. Uygulanan optimizasyonlarda IAE, ITAE, ISE, MSE amaç fonksiyonları ve yeni bir amaç fonksiyonu olan Birim Basamak Temelli (BB) amaç fonksiyonu önerilmiştir. Önerilen amaç fonksiyonu kullanılarak elde edilen kontrolcü cevaplarında topun istenilen referans konuma hiç aşım yapmadan ulaştığı görülmüştür., In this study, cascade PD+P controller gains for the ball and beam system are tuned using metaheuristic algorithms. The aim of the ball and beam system, which provides the simulation of many systems in the laboratory environment, is to reach the reference position and balance of the ball, which moves freely on a single axis on the beam. PD+P cascade controller which contained fast and slow dynamics at the same time is designed for the ball and beam system. Cascade controller gains, which are difficult to adjust compared to conventional controllers, are tuned using Artificial Bee Colony and Teaching Learning Based Optimization algorithms. In the optimizations applied, IAE, ITAE, ISE, MSE objective functions, and a new step response based objective function are proposed. In the controller responses obtained using the proposed objective function, the ball reached the desired reference position without overshoot.

The main purpose of this research was to examine the thoughts, approaches and perceptions of people about thermal power plant and environmental pollution in rural and urban areas of Afşin and Elbistan. A total of 500 individuals in Afşin and Elbistan district centers and villages in the vicinity of the thermal power plant were selected by sampling method. As a result of the study, 28% of households in the region had individuals with lung disease, 54.0% had a chronic disease, 23.0% of children under the age of six years in the household reported that they had pulmonary cough, bronchitis and upper respiratory tract complaints. Moreover, 76.2% of the surveyed individuals specify that the waste materials given to the environment from the thermal power plant damage the vegetation, soil structure, air quality, agricultural areas and living habitats around the power plant environment. A large part of the individuals stated that the environmental problems were usually caused by the activities of the plant and that the solution is still in the plant. While rural residents generally complain about radiation and air pollution, those living in the district center complain more about noise and air pollution. According to results, 92.1% of the individuals stated that due to the pollution created in the region where the thermal power plant was located, it harms the agricultural production around the power plant and 92.4% stated that the measures taken by the power plant managers to prevent pollution were insufficient. On the other hand, approximately 80% of the individuals living in rural areas stated that the thermal power plant discharges harmful wastes to the environment and there was a serious air pollution in the area where they live., Bu çalışmanın amacı; Afşin ve Elbistan ilçe merkezleri ile kırsal alanlarında ikamet eden bireylerin, ilçelerinde kurulu olan termik santralleri ve santrallerin çevre kirliliğine etkileri konusundaki görüşleri ve yaklaşımlarını incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemi Afşin ve Elbistan ilçe merkezlerinde ve termik santrallerin yakınında bulunan köylerde ikamet eden toplam 500 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; hane halkının %28.9’unda akciğer hastalığı, %54.0’ünde kronik rahatsızlıklar ve altı yaşından küçük çocukların oluşturduğu %23.0’lük grupta da üst solunum yolu şikâyetlerinin olduğu belirtilmiştir. Ankete katılan kişilerin %76.2’si termik santrallerin çevreye olumsuz etkilerini; bitki örtüsüne, toprak yapısına, hava kalitesine, tarım alanlarına ve canlı habitatlarına zarar verdikleri şeklinde görüş bildirmişlerdir. Çoğu katılımcı yörelerinde yaşanan çevresel sorunların genellikle santralin faaliyetlerinden kaynaklı olduğunu ve çözümün yine santral yetkililerinin alacağı tedbirler ile kamunun denetim ve yasal yaptırımlarında olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Kırsal ve kentsel alanlardaki bireylerin santraller hakkındaki şikâyetleri farklılık göstermiştir. Buna göre; kırsaldaki katılımcıların çoğu radyasyon ve hava kirliliğini sorun olarak belirtirlerken; ilçe merkezindeki katılımcılar ise gürültü ve hava kirliliğinden daha fazla şikâyetçidirler. Katılımcıların %92.1’i termik santralin bulunduğu bölgede yaratmış olduğu kirlilik nedeniyle, tarımsal üretime zarar verdiğini, %92.4’ü termik santrallerin baca filtresi olmadığı için çevreye saldığı zararlı gazlardan dolayı santralin kirliliği önleme konusunda aldığı önlemlerin yetersiz olduğunu belirtmişlerdir.

When designing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), it istaken into consideration that certain features are met. In some UAVs, modelsare designed according to the maximum speeds that can be reached, while inothers, they are designed according to the maximum lifting forces. In thisstudy, flight parameters were calculated by aerodynamic analysis performed inan analysis program in order to reach the maximum range of a designed UAV andthen the UAV was produced. During the aerodynamic analysis, first the wing profileand then the whole body were analyzed. As a result of the analyzes, the mostsuitable angle of attack for minimum power requirement and maximum range wasobtained as 12° and 8°, respectively., İnsansız hava araçları tasarlanırken birtakım özelliklerin karşılanması göz önünde bulundurulur. Bazı insansız havaaraçlarında ulaşılabilecek maksimum hızlara göre modeller tasarlanırkenbazılarında ise maksimum taşıma kuvvetlerinin oluşması istenebilir. Buçalışmada tasarımı yapılmış bir insansız hava aracının maksimum menzileulaşabilmesi için uçuş parametreleri bir analiz programında yapılan aerodinamikanaliz yardımı ile hesaplanmış ve ardından İHA’nın üretimi yapılmıştır.Aerodinamik analizler yapılırken öncelikle kanat profilinin daha sonra tümgövdenin analizi yapılmıştır.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de koyun eti piyasası ile besi yemi piyasası arasındaki uzun dönem oynaklık ilişkisi ve bu oynaklığın simetrik olup olmadığı 2010:01–2016:12 dönemi aylık verileri ile VAR – Asimetrik BEKK – GARCH (1, 1) modeli kullanılarak analiz edildi. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, yalnızca koyun eti getirisinin benzin ve döviz kuru değişkenlerinden etkilenmesine karşın, koyun eti ve besi yemi piyasasındaki uzun dönem oynaklıklar, hem kendi kısa ve uzun dönem oynaklıklarından hem de çapraz piyasalardan etkilenmiştir. Enerji piyasası, koyun eti ve besi yemi piyasalarındaki uzun dönem belirsizliğini artıran bir unsur iken, buna karşılık döviz kuru piyasası, besi yemi piyasasındaki uzun dönem belirsizliğini düşürmektedir. Koyun eti ve besi yemi oynaklıkları arasındaki korelasyon düzeyinin 2013 yılından itibaren düşüşe geçmesi ve büyük oynaklık sergilemesi aynı dönemde Türk Lirasının yabancı para birimine (özellikle ABD Doları ve Euro) karşı değer kaybetmesine bağlanabilir. Dolayısıyla istikrarlı bir döviz kuru piyasasına sahip olmak ekonominin bütününde olduğu gibi koyun eti piyasası ile besi yemi piyasası arasında zaman boyutunda daha istikrarlı bir ilişkiye neden olacağı göz ardı edilmemelidir., In this study, the long–term volatility relation between the mutton market and fattening fodder market in Turkey and whether this pass–thorough was symmetric were estimated using 2010:01–2016:12 monthly data with VAR – Asymmetric BEKK – GARCH (1, 1) model. Results show that while only the mutton return was affected by the variables of gasoline and exchange rate, the long–term volatility in the mutton and fattening fodder markets was affected by both their short–term shocks and long–term volatility and cross–markets. While the energy market was a factor in increasing the long–term volatility in the mutton and fattening fodder markets, the exchange rate market, on the contrary, was a factor in reducing the long–term uncertainty in the fattening fodder market. The fact that the correlation level between mutton and fattening fodder volatilities has decreased since 2013, which can be attributed to the depreciation of the Turkish Lira against the foreign currencies (e.g., especially USD and Euro) in the same period leading great swings. Therefore, it should not be overlooked that having a stable foreign exchange market will cause a more stable relationship between the mutton market and the feed market as in the whole economy.

Objective: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a chronic disorder characterized by an urge to move the legs. In the present study, we investigated the frequency of RLS in patients with psoriasis and tried to obtain the effects of RLS on sleep quality and psychiatric wellbeing. Methods: A total of 114 consecutive psoriasis patients (60 women and 54 men) and 67 control subjects who attended the Department of Dermatology and Venereology were enrolled in the study. A diagnosis of RLS was made according to the criteria of the International RLS Study Group (IRLSSG), and severity was assessed using the IRLSSG severity scale. Sixty-seven of 114 patients answered the Turkish version of Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Results: We found a higher frequency of RLS in psoriasis patients (11.4%) compared to healthy controls (6.0%), but this prevalence has not reached a statistical significance (p=0.23). Body mass index, BDI score, and bad sleep quality were significantly higher in psoriasis patients compared to healthy controls. Conclusion: Since presence of RLS worsens psoriasis patients’ already bad quality of life, we suggest screening of patients for the presence of RLS, and directing them to a rheumatologist can improve their quality of life.

Buaraştırmada 2015 yılında Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) tarafından toplam11491 hane halkından derlenen hane halkı bütçe anketi verileri kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada, Heckman Örneklem Seçim Sistemi (HÖSS) kullanılarak, hanelerin vehane reisinin sosyo-demografik ve ekonomik faktörlerinin süt ve süt ürünleriile yenilebilir yağların hem tüketim harcama olasılıklarındaki hem de tüketimharcama tutarındaki etkileri analiz edilmiştir. Yenilebilir yağ harcamalarınınsüt ve süt ürünleri harcamalarıyla birlikte bir sistem için tahmin edilmesigerektiği yapılan istatistiki test sonuçlarıyla ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıcasistemdeki tüm korelasyon katsayılarının pozitif ve istatistiki açıdan önemliçıkması, sistemde kontrol dışı faktörlerin her iki ürün grubu harcamalarıarasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişkinin varlığını zorunlu kılmıştır. Diğertaraftan hanelerin ve hane reisinin sosyo-demografik ve ekonomik faktörlerininçoğunluğunun hem yenilebilir yağ harcama olasılığı ve harcama tutarı hem de sütve süt ürünleri harcamaları üzerinde kayda değer etkileri söz konusu olmuştur.Bu etkiler uygun olarak pazarlama stratejileri ve politika önerilerisunulmuştur., The household budget survey conducted in 2015 byTurkish Statistical Institute (TSI) with a total of 11491 households were usedin this study. The effects of the socio-demographic and economic factors ofhousehold heads and households both on the probability of edible oils andspending levels of edible oils and milk-dairy products were analyzed by usingthe Heckman Sampling Selection System (HSSS). The results of the statisticalanalysis show that the edible oil likelihood should be estimated together withthe expenditures of edible oils and milk-dairy products in a system. Inaddition, the positive and statistical significance of all the correlationcoefficients in the system necessitated the positive relationship between non-controllablefactors and the two product group expenditures in the system. On the otherhand, the majority of the socio-demographic and economic factors of householdsand household heads have had significant impacts on both the amount of spendinglevels of edible oil and milk-dairy products with likelihood level of edibleoils. We have presented possible marketing strategies and policyrecommendations in accordance with these impacts.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de buğday, arpa, benzin fiyatları ve reel döviz kurunungetirileri arasında nasıl bir oynaklık ve geçişkenlik meydana getirdiğini vegeçişkenliğin simetrik olup olmadığını 2005:M5-2016:M8 döneminde günlük verisetiyle VAR (1) – Asimetrik BEKK – GARCH (1, 1) modeli kullanılarak eldeedilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan VAR (1) – BEKK – GARCH (1, 1) modeli analiz sonuçlarına görebuğday, arpa, benzin ve reel döviz kuru getirilerininkoşullu varyansları kısa dönemde doğrudan ve dolaylı şoklardan istatistikiolarak anlamlı bir şekilde etkilenmediği, fakat getiri serilerinin koşulluvaryansları doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak diğer getiri serilerinin uzun dönembelirsizliğinden etkilenmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca ürün piyasalarında belirsizlikgeçişkenliklerinde asimetrik etkilerin mevcut olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. İlaveten,buğday ve arpanın benzin piyasasına karşı koruma oranları ile portföyağırlıkları ortaya konulmuştur., In this study, it wasexamined how the volatility and volatility transmission between wheat, barley,gasoline prices and real exchange rate were related, whether the volatilitypass-through was symmetric or not using VAR (1) – Asymmetric BEKK – GARCH (1,1) for the period of 2005:M5-2016:M8 in Turkey. The results obtained from theVAR (1) – Asymmetric BEKK – GARCH (1, 1) model show that the conditionalvariances of wheat, barley, gasoline and real exchange rate returns were notstatistically affected by the direct or indirect shocks in the short term,however, they were directly and indirectly affected by the long-runvolatilities of both own and other cross-markets. The study also concluded thatthere are no asymmetric effects for volatility transmission. In the study, boththe hedging ratios and portfolio weights of wheat and barley against gasolinemarket were determined.

Bu calismada Turkiye’de ekonomik buyume ile saglanan gelir artisinin ve diger sosyo-demografik ve ekonomik faktorlerin hane halki sut ve sut urunleri tuketim harcamalarina etkileri analiz edilmistir. Bu amaca ulasmada Coklu Heckman Secicilik Modeli (HSM) kullanilmistir. Coklu HSM’de her bir urune yapilan harcama olasiligi ile harcama duzeyleri ve capraz korelasyonlar varsayimi altinda gerceklesmektedir. Calismada kullanilan veriler, Turkiye Istatistik Kurumu (TUIK) tarafindan 2010 yilinda yapilan Hane Halki Tuketim Harcamalari anketlerinden elde edilmistir. Ornek buyuklugu eksik ve aykiri gozlemler cikarildiktan sonra 9442 kisi olarak belirlenmistir. Arastirma sonuclarina gore, genelde hane reisi genc (20-29 yas) olan aileler, hane reisi 60 yas uzeri olan ailelere gore hem kirsal hem de kentsel alanda sut ve sut urunleri tuketim olasiligini ve tuketim harcama miktarini dusurmektedir. Ailelerin 0-5 yasinda cocuga sahip olmasi diger yas guruplarinda cocuga sahip olanlara gore, ozellikle sut tuketim olasiligini ve sut tuketim harcamasini onemli oranda arttirmaktadir. Gelir grubu yillik 15-30 bin TL, 31-45 bin TL ve 45 bin TL uzerinde olanlarin, gelir gurubu 15 bin TL olanlara gore, peynir ve diger sut urunleri tuketim harcamasi kentsel alanda sirasiyla 4.5 TL, 9.8 TL ve 16.6 TL kirsal alanda ise 3.6 TL, 8.0 TL ve 9.3 TL daha fazladir.

In this study, colonization and developmental period of different stages of Hyalomma excavatum was determined under laboratory conditions. Three-host life-cycle of H. excavatum was found to be completed in 155 (98-212) days under laboratory conditions. It was determined that a single unfed adult female H. excavatum suck 0,81 (0,58-1,11) gr blood during the feeding and layed an avarage of 8.786 (5.917-12.372) eggs. For the colonization of H. excavatum, gerbils (Meriones unguiculatus) were found to be reasonably suitable host for generating engorded larvae and unfed nymph. As well as calf and rabbit were observed to be suitable hosts for the generation of adult unfed ticks and larvae from these adult ticks, respectively.

It is suggested that frequency of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders is high in cases with Asperger disorder (AD) and in their families. On the other hand, information regarding management of schizophrenia in cases with AD is limited. In this paper, a 15-year-old adolescent case with AD and comorbid schizophrenia, is reported. His psychotic symptoms did not respond to quetiapine, risperidone, and pimozide, respectively. Then, clozapine was commenced and the patient began to improve at the fourth month of the clozapine treatment. In context of the reported case, challenges during the treatment process in cases with AD plus schizophrenia and possible familial influences on schizophrenia development in such cases are discussed.
