The role and importance of local architecture in the traditional texture are significant. Traditional dwelling as part of the local architecture; The influence of religion shapes the family structure of the people living in the region, culture, social relations, climate, and topography. The concept of storage, which defines a meaningful service action in traditional dwellings, has a regional approach inspired by both sociocultural and natural environments in terms of space and reinforcement fiction. In this context, as the fruit of centuries of past experience, the storage areas in the space and reinforcement of traditional dwellings have unique qualities. These areas' protection, registration, and sustainability are essential for the cultural identity. In this direction, of the study, the storage areas in traditional Turkish dwellings; functional construction (Space-Action Relationship) and reinforcement properties (Fixed and Moving Reinforcements), and construction technique-material and ornamental properties of these units were examined. In the light of the examinations made, the traditional Turkish dwelling storage units, woodshed, haystack, storeroom-warehouse, pantry room, and attic used in functional fiction; fixed and moving units are determined to consist of fixed equipment such as load, cabinet systems, rack-sergen, fixed granary and moving equipment such as cubes, baskets, crates and moving grain warehouses. It is thought that the storage action, an essential part of daily life, will be a source for other research in examining the traditional Turkish dwelling buildings, determining their cultural qualities, transferring them to future generations, and creating an archive for the cultural inventory. When the studies carried out by many institutions and organizations on the national and international scale, and the contracts, decisions and acceptance resulting from these, are evaluated, it is seen that the approach to preserve tangible and intangible cultural heritage together. When an area / building / space / element, which is one of the cultural heritage elements, is evaluated together with the dynamics of life formed around it, it gains a holistic meaning. When evaluated in this way, it transforms from a tangible / stationary and durability value to a multidimensional cultural entity that expresses change and transformation along with the continuity of rituals and practices. The priority step required for the provision of such protection is the co-evaluation and documentation of the relations between culture and the structured environment and the values that are concrete data. For the purpose of achieving this goal, the built environment, which exists as concrete elements in the Çukurköy settlement of Akseki district of Antalya province, which is a sample within the scope of the study; it is dealt with three main components. In the settlement, which was not addressed in this context in the previous process, many elements related to different intangible cultural heritage areas were identified, among them, those with a strong spatial relationship and a certain number of numbers were studied in more detail. First of these three componenst, "dwellings", which constitute qualified examples of folk architecture with their original plan layout, construction system and materials, second one is molasses/molasses workshops which are their production areas/places. Last one is the nomadic habitats and seasonal settlements. As a method in the study, firstly archive and literature review and then field study were carried out. The priority of the field study is to establish personal talks with the leaders of the settlement (people who have been in the management, people who have been the users of the field for many years, those who are older), and aim to understand the sociocultural and economic structure and their reflections on the space. Then the areas/spaces were identified and the process of documenting them was started. On documantation; all areas/buildings and spaces qualified within the scope of tangible and intangible cultural heritage elements, regardless of whether they are registered and the date of construction, all those who still hold their original functions and rural features have been prepared as building slips which includes sketch, photograph, address information, etc. In this study, the sociocultural and physical data obtained from the literature review, personal conversations and field studies were evaluated within the scope of holistic protection approach. The spatial relationships of intangible cultural heritage elements, which show the interaction of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, have been determined. Many elements of the intangible cultural heritage existing in the settlement in the historical process have been adversely affected by reasons such as technological developments, economic reasons, and immigration to out of the settlement and have deteriorated over time. Making detection and documentation of these elements and their associated spaces together, will be an important step in the context of holistic protection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The observable formal characteristics of the buildings constitute the center of popular architectural evaluations. On the other hand, the main discipline in architecture is 'space'. One of the methods developed to define and analyze the abstract characteristics of spatial configuration is Space Syntax. This method can be defined as the collection of techniques and theories developed to explore the spatial structures of the man-made environment. The main goal is to represent, discuss, and interpret the intuitively perceived space on concrete terms. By the means of syntactic data obtained, it is argued that significant information about the formation process of the spatial layout and the social meanings underlying this structure can be reached. In this research, 42 single-family houses designed by Yılmaz Sanlı, in the period 1960-2004 are analyzed. They are collected in three different samples arranged according to the dates they are designed. In this study the answers to three main questions are searched: Is it possible to talk about common abstract rules underlying the spatial layouts in three samples, in other words, genotypes? If these rules are discovered, what can be said about the similarities and differences among the genotypes? What kind of variations come up depending on the changes in the house type, geography, user characteristics, and formal compositions? Is it possible to extract concrete data on the spatial layouts of the housing projects of a single architect by the means of the analytical techniques of space syntax? In this context how can the findings contribute to Turkish architecture? In the first step, a house-by-house study is realized. It starts with the short description of the house. Then the justified graphs, both with and without the exterior, are created. Next the syntactic analysis is constituted on the graphs. Following the house-byhouse analysis, by the evaluations and interpretations of the collected data, the genotype is identified with all the common rules detected in the sample. The stated steps are repeated for three samples. Finally, the similarities and differences among the genotypes in the architect's designs are discussed. The first sample (1960-1985) indicates that the architect is influenced by modernism. His designs are composed of pure geometric forms and minimalist layouts. In this sample there are user-defined and user-undefined projects. The majority of these examples are secondary houses used only during the summer or on the weekends. Only 3 of them are primary houses used throughout the year. The projects designed with respect to the demands of a specific client demonstrate configurational differences. Another aspect detected in the analysis is that, the city houses outstand from the others with their deep integration cores as a reflection of their traditional plan organization. The other modernist designs, however, have shallow integration cores. The second sample includes 15 houses from the period 1985-1995. In these years, there is an obvious breaking away from modernism and designs reflect traditional and vernacular details both in the interior and on the exterior. 3 examples are luxurious city houses with a character reminding Sedat Hakki Eldem Housing. 5 houses are suburban villas used all year, 4 houses are weekend houses and 3 houses are summer houses in the south of Turkey. The justified graphs of this sample are much more complex than the first sample. They are less affected by the exclusion of the exterior and the graphs differ with respect to the number of vertical circulation. The configuration is structured according to the use of stairs in the design. The integration core is much deeper than the first sample. The last period is a reflection of "pluralism" in Yılmaz Sanlı architecture. 6 houses are summer houses designed in the south of Turkey and 9 houses are examples of commutable housing in the suburbs of Istanbul. The spatial configuration is primarily structured according to the design of the upper floor; whether it is partially-used or completely used. The integration core is shallow when the upper floor is partially used and deeper when it is completely used. In this study by the means of exploration of the configurational characteristics, the information underlying the house designs is reached. By the findings of the research a comprehensive range of knowledge content is constituted on a valuable architect's housing designs. The color factor is among the affective parameters in the design of a space or a structure. Nearby the different perceptions on the human being the color used in the space, it is the reflection of the culture and the traditions of the users as well. In the history, the Turks live in Anatolia; have produced houses compatible to the geography and the culture of the site. In these houses, which are coming from past to the contemporary life, there are resemblances related with the culture in the plan organization, even there are varieties in the material and construction styles. In this paper the information related with the formation of Turkish House in Anatolia is explained. In the enlightening of this information, the samples are given related with the use of the color in the different sites of Anatolia, and the varieties are examined during the history due to the alternation of construction style and material used.
