Different representations of mathematical knowledge have an important role in students' understanding of abstract mathematics concepts. In this study, the skills of fourth grade students to transform mathematical knowledge into different representations were investigated. 30 fourth-graders selected with convenience sampling participated in the study. The data of the research were collected with the Test of Different Representations of Mathematical Knowledge consisting of open-ended questions. Students' opinions about the difficulties in the test questions were also taken. The data were analyzed using the rubric developed in the study. As a result of the research, the skills of the students to transform the mathematical knowledge into different representations were found to be at the "medium" level. It was also seen that students were able to express mathematical knowledge mostly in the type of a table and had difficulty mostly in expressing it graphically. Besides, it has been found that it is more difficult for students to express the mathematical knowledge in the representation types that contain knowledge about the two features.
