m ÖZET Bu çalışmamızın amacı, Türkolojinin öteki alanlarına göre oldukça az işlenmiş olan sontakıları ilk kez geçmişten günümüze kadar bütün Türk dil ve lehçelerinde inceleyerek Türkoloji çalışmalarına katkıda bulunmaktır. Çalışmamız Giriş, Sontakılar, Sonuç, Kaynakça olmak üzere dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümü, Terimin Tanımı, Bu Konuda Yapılan Çalışmalar, Terimlerin Tesbiti ve Sıralanması, Yeni Görüşler, Yazıçevrimi Hakkında ve Kısaltmalar ve İşaretler olmak üzere altı altbölümden oluşmaktadır. Terimin Tanımı altbölümünde sontakının tanımı yapıldıktan sonra, Türkiye Türkçesi dışındaki günümüz Türk dil ve lehçelerinde sontakı karşılığında kullanılan terimlere yer verilmiştir. Bu Konuda Yapılan Çalışmalar altbölümünde sontakı konusunda şimdiye kadar yapılan başlıca çalışmalara değinilmiştir. Terimlerin Tesbiti ve Sıralanması altbölümünde çalışmamız sırasında uygulanan terim tesbit yöntemi ve tesbit edilen terimlerin sıralalanarak incelenmesi ele alınmıştır. Yeni Görüşler altbölümünde çalışmamız sırasında farkedilen, şimdiye kadar araştırmacılar tarafından pek dikkat edilmemiş ya da hiç dikkat edilmemiş on kadar önemli nokta hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Yazıçevrimi Hakkında altbölümünde bu çalışmamızda kullanılan yazıçevrimi hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi verilmiştir. Kısaltmalar ve İşaretler altbölümünde ise çalışmamızda kullanılan dil ve lehçeler, kitapların kısaltmaları ve öteki kısaltmalar ile işaretler yer almaktadır. Sontakılar bölümü, Sontakılar ve Sontakı Gibi Kullanılan Adlar olmak üzere iki altbölümden oluşmaktadır. Sontakılar altbölümünde 351 tane sontakı, Sontakı Gibi Kullanılan Adlar altbölümünde ise 154 tane sontakı gibi kullanılan ad soylu sözcükler yer almaktadır. Bütün bu terimler abc sırasına göre dizilerekIV numaralandınlmıştır. Ayrıca her terim hakkında kısa bilgi verilmiştir. Eski ve yeni Türk dil ve lehçelerinin hepsinde söz konusu terim takip edilerek bu terimin kullanıldığı her dilden üçer örnek verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Her örnekten sonra ayraç içinde kaynağı gösterilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde bu çalışmamızın sonucunda tesbit edilen noktalar sıralanmıştır. Kaynakça bölümünde ise bu çalışmamız sırasında baştan sona gözden geçirdiğimiz, yayımlanmış tarihî eserler, türlü sözlükler, dilbilgisi kitapları, ilkokul ders kitapları, gazeteler ve öteki kaynaklar olmak üzere 500' e yakın kaynak yer almaktadır. SUMMARY The purpose of this dissertation is to study for the first time the postpositions in all of the old and new Turkic languages and dialects, which are studied rather insufficiently as compared with the other fields of Turkology, and in this way to give some help to the Turkological studies. This study consists of four main chapters of Introduction, Postpositions, Conclusion and Bibliography. The chapter of Introduction consists of six subchapters of Definition of the term, Studies made in this subject, Establishment and arrangement of the terms, New opinions, On the transcription and Abbreviations and signs. In the subchapter of Definition of the term, the definition of the postposition is made and the terms meaning `postposition` in modern Turkic languages and dialects aside from the Turkish of Turkey are given. In the subchapter of Studies made in this subject, information is given about the main studies made upto the present in the subject of postpositions. In the subchapter of Establishment and arrangement of the terms, information is given about the method of establishing the terms applied during this study and the arrangement of the established terms. In the subchapter of New opinions, information is given about 10 important points which are noticed during this study and to which are paid little or no attention upto the present by the researchers. In the subchapter of On the transcription, information is given in detail about the transcription used in this study. In the subchapter of Abbreviations and signs, information is given about the abbreviations of languages and dialects as well as books, the other abbreviations and signs used in this study. The chapter of Postpositions consists of two subchapters of Postpositions and Nouns used like postpositions. There are 351 postpositions in the subchapter ofVI Postpositions and 154 nouns used like postpositions in the subchapter of Nouns used like postpositions. All of these terms are numbered in alphabetical order and short information is given about each term. The term in question is traced in all of the old and new Turkic languages and dialects and it is tried to give three examples for each language in which this term is used. After each example, the source of this example is given in parenthesis. In the chapter of Conclusion, the points established as the result of this study are enumerated. In the chapter of Bibliography, information is given about approximately 500 sources consisting of historical works published upto the present, various dictionaries, grammars, textbooks of primary schools, newspapers and the other sources which were searched thoroughly during this study. 739
