The authors have identified 25 chemical pollutants in soil and 12--in the chemical composition of technical waste from chemical production. Broad spectrum of pollutants and their degradation products (26 chemical components) have been also detected outside the proving ground (2 km). This fact evidences for active spreading of chlororganic toxins into neighboring areas. Abnormality in functional activity and functions of soil microbial cenosis of the proving ground has been established: the number of oligonitrophillus, ammoniating, phosphate-mobilizing, amylolytic and pedotrophic microorganisms. Abnormalities of functional activity were manifested in the 1.6-1.9-fold augmentation of basal respiration and deterioration of substrate-induced respiration in comparison with control variant.

Different indices of cumulative risk assessment of combination of residues of pesticides which may simultaneously be present in raw agricultural crops, based on toxic evaluation of such combination have been presented. Risk for population health due to consumption of raw agricultural crops with triazole residues is acceptable on hazard index, point of departure index and cumulative risk index, exceeds allowable level on criterion "total margin of exposure".

Screening of plasmid DNA was carried out among 94 streptomycetes cultures which were isolated from the samples of Ukrainian soils with different anthropogenic contamination. Seventeen streptomycetes strains containing plasmid DNA were found. It is established that some cultures contain more than one plasmid (Streptomyces sp.M15, S.sp.T8, S.sp.T19). Depending on a molecular sizes the found plasmids were divided in 2 groups: 3 kb-15 kb, and 30 kb-70 kb. Research of a few morphological and physiological properties of plasmid strains of streptomycetes was carried out. The paper is presented in Ukrainian.

Eleven (11) microbial strains capable to decompose insecticide hexachlorcyclohexane (HCH) have been isolated from microbial association resistant to chloro-organic pesticides. On the basis of investigation of morphological, cultural, physiological, biochemical characteristics and results of sequence of gene 16S rRNA it has been established, that the best strain-destructors N 3 and N 9 belong to Pseudomonas putida species, and strain N 6 belongs to Stenotrophomonas maltophilia species.

High content of Cu, Fe, Cd, Zn, Ni mobile forms in industrial platform technozems of ore-concentrating factory causes a 1.5-6.3-fold decrease of microorganisms total quantity and 3-4 fold decrease of streptomycetes amount. The obtained results are confirmed by the model experience information, in accordance to which the streptomycetes amount decreases 1.8-2.4 times on the 1st and 10th days when CdSO4, Fe2(SO4)3, Ni(NO3)2, CuSO4, ZnSO4, (CH3COO)2Pb.Pb(OH) are brought in chernozem at the maximal concentration of heavy metals. The renewal of common chernozem microbiocenosis quantity under the effect of maximum possible concentration of heavy metals salts (MPC) is observed already on the 30th day of research, while at 5 MPC it is observed--after 90 days, and at 15 MPC--the cenosis homeostasis is violated irreversibly. The dominants of technozems streptomycetes association are S. albocrustosus, S. sporostellatus, S. sporoherbeus, S aerionidulus and S. violobrunneus. The influence of heavy metals blend in the industrial platform technozem results in the decline of streptomycetes variety in the association.

This study gives a comparison of copper ions sorption ability of micromycetes (72 strains) isolated from both modern and archaeological soils polluted with heavy metals. Copper sorption ability was inter- and intra-specific with Cladosporium cladosporioides 77, C. cladosporioides 716 and Stachybotrys chartarum 357, S. chartarum 424 strains being the most efficient sorbents. In general, copper sorption was significantly higher for strains of fungi isolated from modern soils compared to those from archaeological soils. Melanised strains of fungi sorbed copper significantly better than non-melanised fungi.

Microflora of soils polluted by heavy metals was the subject of monitoring investigations. Basing on the experimental data obtained with the use of interactive system ASTRID by the method of group accounting of arguments, mathematical models were constructed which describe the dynamics of microorganisms quantity, depending on the number of ecological factors and presence of heavy metals in the soil. The models allow one to predict the number of microorganisms in the soil under certain parameters of the environment, to determine "critical" deviations from the predicted values as well as to renew the intermediate data for obtaining uniform series of ecological researches. Prospects of the use of the inductive approach for modeling of microbiological processes in the soil have been demonstrated.

Long-term contamination of the forest soil by the cement dust leads to disturbances of stability of natural microbial groups, changes their quantitative and qualitative composition, results in substitution of some microbial associations by other ones. The intensive contamination of the soil by the effluents of cement integrated works, inhibits the intensity of nitrogen fixation processes and decay of the forest litter, development of micromycetes, results in the decrease of the length of mycelium and its biomass.

Cenosis of microorganisms, coal resin destructors, is selected by the percolation method. A microbiological analysis of bacterial associations able to destruction of aromatic hydrocarbons composing the coal resin is carried out. Pure cultures are isolated as the most active destructors of these substrates. Destructive cultures are identified as Pseudomonas fluorescens 1-D biovar II and Bacillus subtilis 2-D. Efficiency of the microbiological refinement of coal-resin-contaminated soil by the isolated pure cultures and by their mixture is compared with self-refinement of soil. It is shown that complete refinement of soil from coal resin with contamination of 1 g per 1 kg of soil was attained after 160 days using the mixture of isolated destructive cultures P. fluorescens 1-D biovar II and B. subtilis 2-D. Usage of only P. fluorescens 1-D biovar II provided destruction of 87% of contaminating substances for the same period, whereas self-purification of soil by the natural cenosis of microorganisms made the purification level of 42%.
