The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Profitability (Net Profit Margin) and Investment Opportunity Set (Price Earning Ratio) to the firm’s value in the oil and gas company listed at Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) by the period of 2014-2018. Using purposive sampling techniques, there are 7 companies that being selected that fulfill the criteria for the research sample. The result shows that: 1) Profitabilty has not significant influence to the Price Share, 2) IOS has not significant influence to the Price Share, 3) Profitability has not significant influence to the firm value, 4) IOS has not significant influence to the Firm Value, 5) Price Share has not significant influence to the Firm Value, 6) Price Share can’t mediate the influence of Profitability to the Firm Value, 7)Price Share can’t mediate the influence of IOS to the Firm Value.

Teacher affective support and student engagement are both fundamental to making the educative process meaningful in distance learning environments. This study assessed the levels of perceived teacher affective support and cognitive and psychological engagements among Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students enrolled in online, modular, and blended distance learning modalities. The study also examined the relationship between the respondents’ perceived teacher affective support and cognitive and psychological engagement. Descriptive research design and correlational method were used in the study. A total of 401 STEM students from a public senior high school in the Santa Cruz district, Province of Laguna participated in the study. Two self-report instruments were used and administered in the study. Results showed that respondents’ perceived teacher affective support was to a very great extent. Cognitive engagement among the respondents was similar to a very great extent, while data showed that participants’ psychological engagement was at a great extent. Pearson’s test of correlation revealed that the respondents’ perceived teacher affective support is significantly correlated to cognitive engagement. Likewise, the study also demonstrated a significant relationship between perceived teacher affective support and psychological engagement. The data indicate that teacher affective behaviors correlate with student engagement in distance learning experiences. The findings of the study may provide a framework for educators and administrators in flexible learning modalities and alternative delivery modes. &nbsp

Purpose The objectives of the ongoing, Phase 3, open-label extension trial enliGHten are to assess the long-term safety and efficacy of weekly administered long-acting growth hormone lonapegsomatropin in children with growth hormone deficiency. Methods Eligible subjects completing a prior Phase 3 lonapegsomatropin parent trial (heiGHt or fliGHt) were invited to participate. All subjects were treated with lonapegsomatropin. Subjects in the United States switched to the TransCon hGH Auto-Injector when available. Endpoints were long-term safety, annualized height velocity, pharmacodynamics [insulin-like growth factor-1 SD score (SDS) values], and patient- and caregiver-reported assessments of convenience and tolerability. Results Lonapegsomatropin treatment during enliGHten was associated with continued improvements in height SDS through week 104 in treatment-naïve subjects from the heiGHt trial (−2.89 to −1.37 for the lonapegsomatropin group; −3.0 to −1.52 for the daily somatropin group). Height SDS also continued to improve among switch subjects from the fliGHt trial (−1.42 at fliGHt baseline to −0.69 at week 78). After 104 weeks, the average bone age/chronological age ratio for each treatment group was 0.8 (0.1), showing only minimal advancement of bone age relative to chronological age with continued lonapegsomatropin treatment among heiGHt subjects. Fewer local tolerability reactions were reported with the TransCon hGH Auto-Injector compared with syringe/needle. Conclusions Treatment with lonapegsomatropin continued to be safe and well-tolerated, with no new safety signals identified. Children treated with once-weekly lonapegsomatropin showed continued improvement of height SDS through the second year of therapy without excess advancement of bone age.

Metallic enclosures are commonly used to protect electronic circuits against unwanted electromagnetic (EM) interactions. However, these enclosures may be sealed with imperfect mechanical seams or joints. These joints form narrow slots that allow external EM energy to couple into the cavity and then to the internal circuits. This coupled EM energy can severely affect circuit operations, particularly at the cavity resonance frequencies when the cavity has a high Q factor. To model these slots and the corresponding EM coupling, a thin-slot sub-cell model [1] , developed for slots in infinite ground plane and extended to numerical modeling of cavity-backed apertures, was successfully implemented in Sandia’s electromagnetic code EIGER [2] and its next-generation counterpart Gemma [3] . However, this thin-slot model only considers resonances along the length of the slot. At sufficiently high frequencies, the resonances due to the slot depth must also be considered. Currently, slots must be explicitly meshed to capture these depth resonances, which can lead to low-frequency instability (due to electrically small mesh elements). Therefore, a slot sub-cell model that considers resonances in both length and depth is needed to efficiently and accurately capture the slot coupling.

Background: Previously studied risk factors for sports-related concussion in soccer players include sex, age, and player position. However, prior studies were limited in number, they reported conflicting results, and most did not assess initial concussion severity. Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to conduct an in-depth analysis of soccer players across key demographic groups (sex, age, position) for both concussion incidence and severity. It was hypothesized that concussion incidence and severity would be higher among male players, players aged ≥17 years, and goalkeepers. Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. Methods: The authors analyzed baseline and postinjury ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) scores for athletes aged 12 to 22 years between July 2009 and June 2019. Players were assigned to an age group based on when they had their most recent baseline test. Concussion incidence and concussion severity index were compared using t tests and multivariate logistic regression. Results: For 1189 individuals who reported soccer as their primary sport, 1032 contributed 1754 baseline ImPACT tests (some individuals had multiple baseline tests), whereas 445 individuals were suspected of sustaining a concussion and then referred for a postinjury 1 test. Of these players, 254 (24.6%) had both a baseline and a postinjury test and were analyzed for concussion severity. Linear regression showed that forwards had a lower incidence of ImPACT-proxied concussions than goalkeepers had ( P = .008). Female players had a significantly higher incidence of ImPACT concussions compared with male players (mean, 0.07 [female] vs 0.04 [male] concussions per person-year; P = .05). Players in the ≥17-year age group had a higher incidence of ImPACT concussions than players in the 15- to 16-year age group ( P = .04), although the 15- to 16-year age group had more severe concussions than the ≥17-year age group (mean severity index, 2.91 [age 15-16 years] vs 1.73 [age ≥17 years]; P = .001). Conclusion: Female soccer players experienced a higher incidence of concussion than did male players, and goalkeepers experienced a greater incidence of ImPACT concussions than did forwards. Players of both sexes and all positions in the 15- to 16-year age group showed increased initial concussion severity compared with the ≥17-year age group, despite a lower comparative incidence of ImPACT concussions. Further study is needed to understand whether sex and player position affect concussion severity.

A 2003 high-resolution magnetic survey conducted by the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle ABE over the low-temperature, ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal field Lost City reveals a weak positive magnetic anomaly. This observation is in direct contrast to recent observations of strong positive magnetic anomalies documented over the high-temperature ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal vents fields Rainbow and Ashadze, which indicates that temperature may control the production of magnetization at these sites. The Lost City survey provides a unique opportunity to study a field that is, to date, one of a kind, and is an end member of ultramafic-hosted hydrothermal systems. Our results highlight the key contribution of temperature on magnetite production resulting from serpentinization reactions. Whereas high temperature promotes significant production and partitioning of iron into magnetite, low temperature favors iron partitioning into various alteration phases, resulting in a magnetite-poor rock. Moreover, the distribution of magnetic anomalies confirms results of a previous geological survey indicating the progressive migration of hydrothermal activity upslope. These discoveries contribute to the results of 25 yrs of magnetic exploration of a wide range of hydrothermal sites, from low- to high-temperature and from basalt- to ultramafic-hosted, and thereby validate using high-resolution magnetics as a crucial parameter for locating and characterizing hydrothermal sites hosting unique chemosynthetic-based ecosystems and potentially mineral-rich deposits.

Primary cutaneous gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma (CGD-TCL) is a rare cutaneous T-cell lymphoma characterized by a rapidly progressive clinical course and a poor prognosis. We report a case of a 52-year-old man with a 10-year history of erythematous nodules and a rapid terminal progression diagnosed as CGD-TCL. Biopsies taken at the time of progression showed a dense lymphocytic infiltrate involving the subcutaneous adipose tissue and deep dermis. One of the biopsies displayed much more limited involvement by CGD-TCL that was nearly identical to the biopsies of the erythematous lesions 10 years before. In conclusion, this case demonstrates a case of CGD-TCL presenting as a longstanding indolent disease with a rapid terminal progression. The indolent clinical course and histological heterogeneity make diagnosing this entity during the initial stage extremely challenging. This case underscores a diverse clinical presentations and a need to consider CGD-TCL in patients showing subcutaneous lesions with an indolent clinical course.

At frequently active submarine volcanoes, it is difficult to distinguish between new and pre-existing lava flows. A combination of high-resolution bathymetric surveys taken before and after an eruption at Axial Seamount in 2011 allows detailed mapping of the 2011 lava flows, and highlights the tendency of new flows to mimic older ones.

Engraved images of real secular interiors are rare before 1790. Even more rare are illustrations of nonroyal houses in which the domestic and parade apartments are depicted fully furnished, with portable objects that were actually in use. An illustration by Andrea Bolzoni (1689–1760) accompanying the publication in 1736 of a poem by Jacopo Agnelli (1701 or 1702–99) celebrating a grand festival given by Fortunato Cervelli (1683–1755), the Holy Roman imperial consul in Ferrara, on the occasion of the marriage of Maria Theresa of Austria (1717–80), female heiress to the Habsburg dynasty, provides an exceptional record of Cervelli's nonroyal suite of parade apartments decorated in a unique “chinoiserie” variant of the Rococo style. The actual decorative interiors represented were prompted by a special set of political and commercial circumstances designed to project the Habsburg interests abroad in the Papal States.

Increasing water for onsite and offsite uses can be a viable objective for management of certain western rangelands. One approach utilizes water harvesting techniques to increase surface runoff by preventing or slowing infiltration of rain. An attractive alternative, where applicable, is to replace vegetation that uses much water with plants that use less so that more water percolates through the soil to streams and ground water. Most sites are too dry to increase water yield in this way; probably less than 1 percent of the western rangelands can be managed for this purpose. However, where annual precipitation exceeds about 450 mm (18 inches) and deep-rooted shrubs can be replaced by shallow-rooted grasses, there is potential to increase streamflows and to improve forage for livestock. Little or no increase can be expected by eradication of low-density brush and pinyon-juniper woodlands. Potentials for improving water yield are reviewed and summarized by vegetation types.

Water yield has increased substantially on two small chaparral watersheds in central Arizona following brush control and conversion to grass. Winter precipitation is the major source of water yield. Summer rains begin in July and normally account for about one-fourth of the annual precipitation but generally have little effect on streamflow. When annual precipitation is less than 16 inches, increase in water yield resulting from treatment is likely to be less than 2 inches. However, the efficiency of the conversion for producing extra water improves with rainfall, at least up to 34 inches. At this amount of annual precipitation, the increase in flow may reach 12 inches or more, depending on seasonal distribution of the rain.

In an effort to explain the source of nonstorm streamflow in deep-soiled areas of the southern Appalachians, a 3×3× 45-foot inclining concrete trough was constructed on a 40 per cent slope. The structure was packed with a natural sandy-loam soil to a bulk density of 1.3, and after thorough soaking was covered with plastic to prevent evaporation. Outflow was measured at the base, and soil moisture tension and content were recorded for 145 days. As shown by piezometers, the larger pores were substantially emptied in 1.5 days, during which outflow occurred according to the expression, Q = a1T−b1 where T is time in days since day zero and a1 and b1 are constants. After a 5-day transition period, the logarithm of drainage for the next 80 days was again linearly related to the logarithm of time, but with new constants,a2 and b2, expressing unsaturated flow from the entire soil mass. An additional 60 days of flow occurred, deviating more and more from the log-log relation as the limits of drainage were approached. Soil moisture content and tension substantiated the theory that the entire unsaturated soil mass was contributing to outflow throughout the experiment. It is concluded that unsaturated flow in the earth mantle of steep watersheds cannot be ignored in hydrograph analysis, since it may well be a primary mechanism for sustaining baseflow.

The role of vitamin K in the synthesis of prothrombin has been examined with the following results. 1. Vitamin K deficiency has no effect on general protein synthesis as studied by amino acid incorporation into protein in vivo and in vitro and by tryptophan pyrrolase production following tryptophan feeding. 2. Prothrombin activity was found in normal rat liver microsomes with increased release following ultrasonic treatment, but could not be found in microsomes from the livers of vitamin K-deficient rats or dicumarol-treated rats. Administration of suboptimal levels of vitamin K to vitamin K-deficient rats resulted in detectable microsomal prothrombin in 2 hours and essentially normal values within 3 hours. 3. Adequate vitamin K1, given by injection, completely restored the blood prothrombin levels of vitamin K-deficient rats in 1 hour, and of dicumarol- or warfarin-treated rats in 5 to 7 hours depending on the amounts of warfarin and vitamin K1 given. 4. Following administration of actinomycin D or ethionine to vitamin K-deficient rats, treatment with vitamin K1 markedly stimulated prothrombin production, indicating that the site of action of vitamin K is beyond the level of transcription of DNA to prothrombin messenger RNA. 5. Treatment with vitamin K1, following administration to vitamin K-deficient rats of cycloheximide at a level just sufficient to block synthesis of prothrombin for 6 to 8 hours, gave an essentially normal prothrombin response. At higher cycloheximide levels the response to vitamin K1, while much less complete, was clear and definite. 6. The response of vitamin K-deficient rats to vitamin K1, administered following treatment with blocking doses of puromycin, appears significant. 7. These data appear to indicate that the site of function of vitamin K is not at the genetic level, as has been reported, but at a late stage in translation of prothrombin messenger RNA to form a functional prothrombin molecule.

Results from 11 forest cutting experiments on small watersheds at the Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory in western North Carolina are presented as a summary of twenty years experience in water yield studies. Conversion of mature forest to low-growing vegetation in this well-watered area increased the supply of water to streams in amounts varying from 5 to 16 inches per year. Increases in annual yield the first year after cutting mature hardwood forest in several ways were roughly proportional to the percentage of the stand cut on any one watershed, but are not yet predictable quantitatively because of variation in soils, physiography, and orientation of small drainages. Increases tend to diminish in the years following the initial treatment, whether cutting is repeated or not, but a certain portion of the increases can be maintained indefinitely by annual recutting. Digital water level recorders on small, flashy streams are frequently set at 5-minute readout intervals to define fluctuations during critical storm flow periods. Consequently, during nonstorm periods far more data points are punched on the recorder tapes than are needed to define the long-term hydrograph. A two-step reduction process eliminates more than 95% of the original 105,000 data points per year of record. The first reduction is obtained by translating to IBM cards only every twelfth (hourly) head value punched on the tape during nonstorm periods. Storm periods are translated at 5-minute intervals. A computer reduction step on both hourly and 5-minute data then systematically rejects head values not essential to hydrograph definition. Rejection is based on differences in elevation and slope between successive head values. Computer output consists of cards and a listing of the reduced data.

Field measurements of sou moisture content and pressure potential were used to determine the moisture flux, hydraulic gradients, and dynamic conductivity of a 200-foot sloping soil lysimeter. These measurements were then used to predict outflow and evapotranspiration. A vertical unsaturated Darcian analysis was used to evaluate conductivity during the first study phase, in which evapotranspiration was eliminated by sealing the model surface with a plastic sheet. The moisture flux term in the Darcy equation was determined by evaluating moisture content change in depth and time. Moisture flux determined in this way agreed with measurements of actual outflow. Conductivities were solved from flux and hydraulic gradients, and corresponding water contents were assigned. Conductivity curves were highly significant and agreed with those obtained when the model was uncovered. Evapotranspiration was solved during the second study phase (cover removed and grass established) by using a water balance based on moisture content and potential, rainfall, and conductivity (from the first study phase). Results at the deepest level in the profile agreed well with those based on actual outflow.

Preface: The U.S.-Australia Cooperative Rangeland Science Program In October 1968 the governments of the United States and Australia entered into an agreement for the purpose of facilitating close cooperative activities between the scientific communities of the two countries. The joint communique issued at that time designated the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Australian Commonwealth Department of Education and Science as the coordinating agencies. Both countries were to encourage binational teamwork in research, interchanges of scientists, joint seminars, and exchanges of information. A United States-Australia Rangeland Panel was established in December 1969 to further cooperation between the two countries in the rangeland sciences. The present panel includes the following
