The appearance of untreated severe hydrocephalus with long-term survival is infrequent; here we report a case with these characteristics, mild neurological alterations and kidney and skeletal anomalies. A female patient showed severe hydrocephalus (initially mistaken with hydranencephaly) at 4 years old and left kidney ectopia (initially mistaken with renal agenesis); however, she was derived to the neurology service until she was 12 years old, when she began to present migraine and seizures. At 13 years old the patient was diagnosed with arrested hydrocephalus secondary to aqueduct stenosis, and the seizures worsen thereafter from atonic seizures to complex partial seizures (at 14 years old), presenting generalized seizures at 15 years old. At 17 years old, the seizures were more frequent despite the anticonvulsant treatment and also presented automations, she was also diagnosed with genu recurvatinn and scoliosis. The seizures finally diminished and partially controlled at 19 years old. Despite a cerebral mantle2.0 cm at the computer tomography, the patient always presented a satisfactory intellectual development. In this case, the relatively good and long evolution of the severe hydrocephalus is probably related with the late-onset of the disease that permitted a better development of the brain; however, the worsening of the seizures after the hydrocephalus arrested, suggests that arrest is not necessarily associated with a compensation and better evolution of the disease, at least at the beginning of the process. The presence of kidney ectopia and skeletal alterations did not associate with a known genetic disease, however a possible inheritance mechanism is not discarded.

A new result for equivariant functions in terms of invariant functions in the case of Minkowski space is given. This generalizes the work of Hall and Wightman in the sense that only equivariance is required. In particular, it implies the possibility of defining physical magnitudes independently of the choice of the coordinate system, like the center of mass for relativistic particles

Como estrategias contributivas de sustentabilidad en la industria del concreto, en la actualidad se está investigando en mejorar la durabilidad de las estructuras de concreto reforzado, como así también en el reemplazo parcial o total de sus componentes por materiales reciclados. En el caso de las barras de acero, la corrosión se considerada el principal problema de durabilidad del concreto reforzado. En esta investigación, se utilizó agregado grueso de concreto reciclado y materiales cementantes suplementarios subproductos de procesos industriales tales como las cenizas volantes y el humo de sílice para la fabricación de concretos con características de sustentabilidad y para la evaluación de su comportamiento ante la exposición a cloruros. De los especímenes de prueba resultantes, se determinaron los parámetros de resistencia a compresión, resistividad eléctrica, resistencia a la transferencia de carga y resistencia a la penetración del ión cloruro, que especifican los mínimos de las propiedades exigibles a los concreto en acuerdo a normativa para garantizar su durabilidad ante la acción de los cloruros. De los resultados obtenidos, se concluye que el concreto fabricado con 100% de agregado grueso reciclado y materiales cementantes suplementarios mejora su desempeño, en cuanto a resistencia y durabilidad al ser comparado con el concreto convencional.

The Klein–Gordon equation is considered in the case of nondecreasing potentials. The energy inner product is nonpositive on a subspace of infinite dimension, not consisting entirely of eigenvectors of the associated operator. A scattering theory for this case is developed and asymptotic completeness for generalized Moller operators is proven.
