RESUMEN El objetivo del presente estudio fue verificar la existencia de la relación entre la erupción dental con el indicador peso para la edad. Material y métodos: Fue realizado un estudio observacional, transversal, prospectivo. Siendo evaluados un total de 1644 niños con edades comprendidas entre los 5 y 16 años, nativos de la amazonia. Para ello, fue realizado un examen bucodental con el fin de determinar el estadio de erupción de la pieza dentaria. El estado nutricional fue evaluado mediante el programa Anthroplus® donde se realizó los cálculos antropométricos para los indicadores; peso para la edad entre los 0 y 10 años, estatura para la edad y el índice de masa corporal entre los 0 y 19 años. Se decide realizar los cálculos antropométricos en niños en edades comprendidas entre los 5 a 10 años. Resultados: Se asoció significativamente el bajo peso con el retardo en la erupción de los incisivos centrales, aunque en el mandibular se obtuvo un tamaño de efecto pequeño. Se encontró relación estadísticamente significativa entre el retardo de erupción del primer molar inferior e incisivo central inferior y la talla baja aunque se obtuvo un tamaño de efecto pequeño. Respecto al IMC no existen casos atípicos ya que todos los niños tienen las puntuaciones típicas entre -1 y 1. Conclusiones: El presente estudio encuentra una relación entre el retardo de la erupción de incisivos centrales y el bajo peso, expresado para el indicador peso para la edad.

We investigate a spontaneously broken $U(1)_d$ gauge symmetry with a muon-specific dark Higgs. Our first goal is to verify how the presence of a new dark Higgs, $\phi$, and a dark gauge boson, $V$, can simultaneously face the anomalies from the muon magnetic moment and the proton charge radius. Secondly, by assuming that $V$ must decay to an electron-positron pair, we explore the corresponding parameter space determined with the low energy constraints coming from $ K \to \mu X$, electron $(g-2)_e$, $K \to \mu \nu_\mu e^+ e^-$, $K \to \mu \nu_\mu \mu^+ \mu^-$, $\tau \to \nu_\tau \mu \nu_\mu e^+ e^-$. We focus in the scenario where the $V$ mass is below $ \sim 2 m_\mu$ and the $\phi$ mass runs from few MeV till $250$ MeV, with V-photon mixing of the order $ \sim\mathcal{O}(10^{-3})$. Among weak process at low energies, we check the influence of the new light vector on kaon decays as well as on the scattering $e^+ e^- \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- e^+ e^-$ and discuss the impact of the dark Higgs on $e^+ e^- \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^- \mu^+ \mu^- $. Finally, we consider contributions of the V-photon mixing in the decays $\pi^0 \to \gamma e^+ e^-$, $\eta \to \gamma e^+ e^-$, $\rho \to \pi e^+ e^-$, $K^* \to K e^+ e^-$ and $\phi (1020) \to \eta e^+ e^-$., Comment: 13 pages, 10 figures

Aim: Increased FGF23 blood levels were found intact and biologically active in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. We aimed to evaluate in PD patients the associations between regulators of phosphate (Pi) metabolism including FGF23 and peritoneal daily Pi removal (PDPiR). Methods: Sixty-four adult patients (male 56%, mean age 48 ± 13 years, median time on PD 3.4 months) were evaluated in a cross-sectional study (ST1). Daily Pi intake was assessed by food frequency questionnaire. Intact FGF23 blood levels were evaluated by ELISA (Immutopics, Inc., San Clemente, CA). The first 33 patients who completed 1 year after the first evaluation were re-evaluated. (longitudinal study, ST2). Results: In ST1, both circulating FGF23 and Pi serum levels were associated with PDPiR (β=0.533, p=0.002 and β=0.342, p=0.045, respectively) independent of iPTH, dietary Pi intake, renal daily Pi removal, dialysate/plasma creatinine concentration ratio (D/P Cr), residual renal function (RRF), ultrafiltration volume, dwell volume, number of exchanges and dialysis vintage. In ST2, the increase in PDPiR was only correlated with the increase in FGF23 (β=0.480, p=0.012) independently of changes in serum Pi, RRF, renal daily Pi removal and D/P Cr. Conclusions: Differences in circulating FGF23 and Pi serum levels contribute both independently to heterogeneity of PDPiR in PD patients

Purpose - This paper presents the development of a new organizational excellence tool specifically for use by small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) while implementing business excellence models. A literature review was conducted to analyse the current state of business excellence models and their content and application around the world, including the identification of key principles that drive their creation and implementation. In this paper, we present a framework that has been validated by an Expert Panel of Organizational Excellence Professionals, considering the unique characteristics of SME and their industry contexts. It is hoped that this toolkit will allow these companies to strive for organizational excellence through a framework that is better suited to their context and needs. Design/methodology/approach - An initial extensive literature review was conducted on the topics of Excellence Frameworks, Excellence Programs, Excellence Awards and the different contextual environments between LE and SME. Based on the literature review, we began by reviewing several scientific articles aimed at understanding the different contexts of LE and SME. From this point of view, and with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, we emphasized the themes that offered a better fit to the needs of these organizations and that, as a result, should be integrated into this framework. The Quality and Organizational Excellence Framework for Small and Medium Enterprises (QOE-SME) was built based on the weaknesses and shortcomings found in the use and implementation of SME's excellence models. The model was then validated by a group of quality experts through an online survey. This group was chosen based on criteria for reaching out to people who, in both academia and industry, have carried out significant and appropriate research in the field of organizational excellence and/or in the field of quality promotion and superior performance in SME. Findings - Organizational excellence programs have created a catalyst and frameworks for improved success and productivity within large organisations. However, small and medium-sized organizations often try to achieve the same results using these same structures. However, evidence suggests that some of these frameworks are seen as unrealistic and difficult to implement. These implementation levels and records of positive implementation of OE models in SME are still small. The question is seen by both practitioners and researchers because of the various implementation difficulties faced by SME. This paper describes a social robotic game player that is able to successfully play a team card game called Sueca. The question we will address in this paper is: how can we build a social robot player that is able to balance its ability to play the card game with natural and social behaviours towards its partner and its opponents. The first challenge we faced concerned the development of a competent artificial player for a hidden information game, whose time constraint is the average human decision time. To accomplish this requirement, the Perfect Information Monte Carlo (PIMC) algorithm was used. Further, we have performed an analysis of this algorithm's possible parametrizations for games trees that cannot be fully explored in a reasonable amount of time with a MinMax search. Additionally, given the nature of the Sueca game, such robotic player must master the social interactions both as a partner and as an opponent. To do that, an emotional agent framework (FAtiMA) was used to build the emotional and social behaviours of the robot. At each moment, the robot not only plays competitively but also appraises the situation and responds emotionally in a natural manner. To test the approach, we conducted a user study and compared the levels of trust participants attributed to the robots and to human partners. Results have shown that the robot team exhibited a winning rate of 60%. Concerning the social aspects, the results also showed that human players increased their trust in the robot as their game partners (similar to the way to the trust levels change towards human partners).

Collaborative Data Mining (CDM) develops techniques to solve complex problems of data analysis requiring sets of experts in different domains that may be geographically separate. An important issue in CDM is the sharing of experience among the different experts. In this paper we report on a framework that enables users with different expertise to perform data analysis activities and profit, in a collaborative fashion, from expertise and results of other researchers. The collaborative process is supported by web services that seek for relevant knowledge available among the collaborative web sites. We have successfully designed and deployed a prototype for collaborative Data Mining in domains of Molecular Biology and Chemoinformatics.

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to understand the current state of quality management practices in Small and Medium Enterprises. The main concepts of Quality Management and its practices in Small and Medium Enterprises were reviewed from the literature in order to understand the key practices in these organizations, and a data analysis on their use was performed. Design/methodology/approach - Analysis was performed by consulting and understanding the evolution of Organizational Excellence Models and Quality Management Systems. This research incorporates data since the beginning of the 90's from the last century and allows us to comprehend how these models and management systems have evolved and if there is any correlation between the adoption of each one of them- evaluation of interdependencies. Findings - The findings suggest that while the number of ISO 9001 certified companies has increased over the years, the number of organizations accessing Business Excellence frameworks have been decreasing. The available data suggests that Small and Medium Enterprises seem to follow these trends. It is particularly noticed that there is a considerable gap between Small and Medium Enterprises and Large Enterprises in the usage of Business Excellence frameworks.
