For the current problem of large number of parameters and large computation of the target detection network, the lightness improvement is carried out on the basis of yolov5s, and the dynamic convolution of OD is introduced to compensate for the accuracy degradation caused by the lightness, and the Map0.5 of the improved Yolov5s- EfficientNetV2-OD network reaches 82.8 through comparison experiments, and the FPS is 59 frames per second. The experiment proves that the network maintains the detection accuracy and detection speed of the network for small targets on the basis of light weighting. It is suitable for deployment on vehicle-mounted devices.

Oxygenated organic molecules (OOMs) are dominated by the N-containing species in polluted urban environments. As N-containing OOMs, especially those with more than one nitrogen atom, prevail in the high m/z (mass-to-charge) range (m/z> 350 Th), unambiguous identification of N-containing OOMs is highly desirable for understanding of their formation processes, precursors and influencing factors. To achieve this, we applied an ultra-high-resolution chemical-ionization Orbitrap (CI-Orbitrap) in a field campaign and found that OOMs contain one (1N-OOMs), two (2N-OOMs) and three (3N-OOMs) nitrogen atoms comprised 50 %, 26 % and 4 %, respectively, of total OOMs. More interestingly, the fraction of 2N-OOMs increased with the increase in carbon number (nC) and was dominated by the ones derived from aliphatic precursors (2N-OOMAli, 64.2 %), indicating the importance of multistep oxidation. Plausible precursors of 2N-OOMs were aliphatics (2N-OOMAli, 64.2 %), aromatics (2N-OOMAro, 16 %) and monoterpenes (2N-OOMMT, 15.4 %). The absolute concentrations of 2N-OOMs were greatly affected by the pollution level for most cases. The 2N-OOMAli was the most abundant 2N-OOM, and its fraction even increased on the polluted day with an enhanced proportion of the ones with nC >10. While 2N-OOMAli and 2N-OOMAro were dominated by daytime photochemical production, nighttime NO3-initiated oxidation played a comparable role to the daytime photochemistry in the formation of 2N-OOMMT. The 2N-OOMAro species were of the highest oxygenation level, followed by 2N-OOMMT and 2N-OOMAli, which were affected by photochemistry and NOx concentrations. These results highlight the significant formation of 2N-OOMs and the influencing factors on their formation in polluted urban environments, where various volatile organic compound (VOC) precursors and atmospheric oxidants are present.

Aromatic carbonyls (e.g., methoxybenzaldehydes), an important class of photosensitizers, are abundant in the atmosphere. Photosensitization and nitrate-mediated photo-oxidation can occur simultaneously, yet studies about their interactions, particularly for aqueous secondary organic aerosol (aqSOA) formation, remain limited. This study compared non-phenolic (3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde, DMB) and phenolic (vanillin, VL) methoxybenzaldehydes as photosensitizers for aqSOA formation via guaiacol (GUA) oxidation in the absence and presence of ammonium nitrate (AN) under atmospherically relevant cloud and fog conditions. GUA oxidation by triplet excited states of DMB (3DMB∗) (GUA + DMB) was ∼ 4 times faster and exhibited greater light absorption than oxidation by 3VL∗ (GUA + VL). Both GUA + DMB and GUA + VL formed aqSOA composed of oligomers, functionalized monomers, oxygenated ring-opening species, and N-containing products in the presence of AN. The observation of N-heterocycles such as imidazoles indicates the participation of ammonium in the reactions. The majority of generated aqSOA comprises potential brown carbon (BrC) chromophores. Oligomerization and functionalization dominated in GUA + DMB and GUA + VL, but functionalization appeared to be more important in GUA + VL due to contributions from VL itself. AN did not significantly affect the oxidation kinetics, but it had distinct effects on the product distributions, likely due to differences in the photosensitizing abilities and structural features of DMB and VL. In particular, the more extensive fragmentation in GUA + DMB than in GUA + VL likely generated more N-containing products in GUA + DMB + AN. In GUA + VL + AN, the increased oligomers may be due to VL-derived phenoxy radicals induced by ⚫OH or ⚫NO2 from nitrate photolysis. Furthermore, increased nitrated products observed in the presence of both DMB or VL and AN than in AN alone imply that photosensitized reactions may promote nitration. This work demonstrates how the structural features of photosensitizers affect aqSOA formation via non-carbonyl phenol oxidation. Potential interactions between photosensitization and AN photolysis were also elucidated. These findings facilitate a better understanding of photosensitized aqSOA formation and highlight the importance of AN photolysis in these reactions.

This study aims to examine whether social work services can improve migrant children’s social engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic in urban China. Valid questionnaires of 416 migrant children in Guangzhou were obtained as the samples. Two regression models were employed to analyze the factors associated with social engagement. The results show that during the pandemic, migrant children with higher self-efficacy, higher community social capital, and better social inclusion tended to have higher social engagement. Among the three dimensions of social capital, only community social capital has a significant positive effect on migrant children’s social engagement. The degree of social inclusion of migrant children affects their social engagement. Social work services are beneficial to promoting the social engagement of migrant children. The research has implications for the practice of child social workers. First, it is important to cultivate migrant children’s self-efficacy to promote social engagement. Second, social workers should build the social capital of the communities where migrant children live to promote the social engagement of this group. Third, social workers should strengthen support for migrant children’s learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Purpose. To evaluate the prevalence, causes, and risk factors of presenting visual impairment (PVI) and presenting blindness among adults in Suzhou, China. Methods. A total of 43927 subjects were included in this cross-sectional study. Each subject underwent ophthalmic examinations, including presenting visual acuity (PVA), intraocular pressure (IOP), slit-lamp examination, and fundus examination under the small pupils of each eye. Results. Using the World Health Organization (WHO) definition, the prevalence of bilateral PVI, bilateral presenting blindness, monocular PVI, and monocular presenting blindness was 1.59% (95% CI, 1.51–1.67), 0.002% (95% CI, 0.0019–0.0021), 3.87% (95% CI, 3.68–4.06), and 0.19% (95% CI, 0.18–0.20), respectively. Using the United States (US) definition, the prevalence of bilateral PVI, bilateral presenting blindness, monocular PVI, and monocular presenting blindness was 5.83% (95% CI, 5.54–6.12), 0.04% (95% CI, 0.038–0.042), 7.43% (95% CI, 7.06–7.80), and 0.45% (95% CI, 0.43–0.47), respectively. The prevalence of PVI was higher in females (WHO criteria, 2.06%, 95% CI, 1.96–2.16; US criteria, 7.27%, 95% CI, 6.91–7.63) than in males (WHO criteria, 1.2%, 95 CI%, 1.14–1.26; US criteria, 4.65%, 95% CI, 4.42–4.89). The leading cause of PVI is an uncorrected refractive error, followed by cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Multivariate analysis proved that the prevalence of visual impairment (PVA, better eye, WHO criteria) increased significantly with older age, higher mean arterial pressure (MAP), higher globulin level, and higher fasting blood glucose (FBG). In addition, it also increased significantly with lower hemoglobin, a lower body mass index (BMI), and a lower arterial stiffness index. In this study, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, uric acid, triglycerides, and the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) showed no association with visual impairment. Conclusion. The leading causes of PVI in Suzhou were uncorrected refractive error and cataracts. The prevalence of PVI increased with females, older age, higher MAP, higher FBG, higher globulin, lower hemoglobin, lower BMI, and lower arterial stiffness index.

Dual-HER2 targeted therapy has led to a promising antitumor effect in HER2 positive cancers including gastrointestinal cancer. The present data focus on patients with HER2 positive colorectal cancer who received pyrotinib and trastuzumab after failure to standard second-line treatment.Patients diagnosed of HER2 positive refractory or metastatic colorectal cancer were enrolled to receive trastuzumab in combination with pyrotinib as third-line and beyond therapy. Trastuzumab was given as a loading dose at 8 mg/kg followed by 6mg/kg once every 3 weeks, and oral pyrotinib as 400 mg per day until progression. ORR was set as the primary endpoint. PFS and OS were set as a secondary endpoints. This trial is registered with Clinical Trial.gov, NCT04960943, and is ongoing.Between February 2020 to December 2021, 16 patients including 14 with RAS wild-type status were enrolled in this cohort. ORR was 50.0% in the overall population, and 57.1% in RAS wild-type patients. At a median follow-up of 11.2 months, median PFS and OS were 7.53 and 16.8 months, respectively. The RAS/BRAF wild-type patients had prolonged survival (PFS: 7.53 vs. 1.63 months, P = .02; OS: NR vs.4.13 months, P = .001) compared with RAS/BRAF mutant patients. The most common treatment-emergent adverse event (TEAE) reported is diarrhea. Five (31.3%) patients reported grade 3 TEAEs, and no death was reported.Trastuzumab in combination with pyrotinib demonstrated encouraging antitumor activity that translated to prolonged survival benefit in HER2 positive refractory or mCRC patients who are RAS wild-type with acceptable tolerance.

The purity of sorghum varieties is an important indicator of the quality of raw materials used in the distillation of liquors. Different varieties of sorghum may be mixed during the acquisition process, which will affect the flavor and quality of liquor. To facilitate the rapid identification of sorghum varieties, this study proposes a sorghum variety identification model using hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology combined with convolutional neural network (AlexNet).First, the watershed algorithm, which was modified with the extended-maxim transform, was used to segment the hyperspectral images of a single sorghum grain. The isolated forest algorithm was used to eliminate abnormal spectral data from the complete spectral data. Secondly, the AlexNet model of sorghum variety identification was established based on the two-dimensional gray image data of sorghum grain in group 1. The effects of different preprocessing methods and different convolution kernel sizes on the performance of the AlexNet model were discussed. The eigenvalues of the last layer of the AlexNet model were visualized using the t-distributed random neighborhood embedding method, which is used to evaluate the separability of features extracted by the AlexNet model. The performance differences between the optimal AlexNet model and traditional machine learning models for sorghum variety identification were compared. Finally, the varieties of sorghum grains in groups 2 and 3 were identified based on the optimal AlexNet model, and the average accuracy values of the test set reached 95.62% and 95.91% respectively.The results in this study demonstrated that HSI combined with the AlexNet model could provide a feasible technical approach for the detection of sorghum varieties. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry.

How bone marrow niches regulate leukemogenic activities of leukemia-initiating cells (LICs) is unclear. The present study revealed that the metabolic niche component, ATP, efficiently induced ion influx in LICs through its ligand-gated ion channel, P2X1. P2X1 deletion impaired LIC self-renewal capacities and resulted in an approximately 8-fold decrease in functional LIC numbers in a murine acute myeloid leukemia (AML) model without affecting normal hematopoiesis. P2X1 phosphorylation at specific sites of S387 and T389 was essential for sustaining its promoting effects on leukemia development. ATP-P2X1-mediated signaling upregulated the PBX3 level to transactivate BCAT1 to maintain LIC fates. P2X1 knockdown inhibited the proliferation of both human AML cell lines and primary cells. The P2X1 antagonist sufficiently suppressed AML cell proliferation. These results provided a unique perspective on how metabolic niche factor ATP fine-tunes LIC activities, which may benefit the development of strategies for targeting LICs or other cancer stem cells.

Information system (IS) is a significant model in the field of artificial intelligence. Information structure is not only a research direction in the field of granular computing (GrC), but also an important method to study an IS. A multiset-valued information system (MVIS) refers to an IS where information values are multisets. A MVIS can be seen as a model that is the result of information fusion of multiple categorical ISs. This model helps deal with missing values in the dataset. This paper studies information structures in a MVIS on the view of GrC and consider their application for uncertainty measurement (UM). First of all, some notions of multisets and probability distribution sets (PDSs) are proposed. Naturally, relationships between multisets and PDSs are researched. Then, the concept of a MVIS based on the notion of multisets is given, and the internal structure of a MVIS is revealed by an incomplete information system (IIS). Furthermore, tolerance relations in a MVIS are defined by using Hellinger distance, and tolerance classes are obtained to construct the information structures of a MVIS. Considering the association of information structures, relationships between information structures are raised from the two aspects of dependence and separation. Moreover, some properties between information structures are provided by using information distance and inclusion degree. Finally, four UMs as the applications of information structures are investigated, and comprehensive experiments on several datasets demonstrate the feasibility and superiority of the proposed measures. These results will be helpful for establishing a framework of GrC in a MVIS and studying UM.

Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is involved in various immune-mediated pathologies and regulates both innate and adaptive immune reactions, thus being related to several acute and chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, septic shock, and atherosclerosis. Its role in acute and chronic brain pathologies, such as stroke and neurodegenerative diseases, has attracted increasing attention in recent years. In response to stimuli like hypoxia, inflammation or infection, different cell types can rapidly release MIF, including immune cells, endothelial cells, and neuron cells. Notably, clinical data from past decades also suggested a possible link between serum MIF levels and the severity of stroke and the evolving of neurodegenerative diseases. In this review, we summarize the major and recent findings focusing on the mechanisms of MIF modulating functions in brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases, which may provide important therapeutic targets meriting further investigation.

Daqu is the fermentation starter of Baijiu, which is one of the six most renowned distilled spirits. Studies have found that Bacillus is one of the dominant microbial genera in Daqu, and Bacillus subtilis is known to produce amylase, an important enzyme that influences the quality of Daqu. This study aims to explore the influence of B. subtilis inoculation on the microbial community structure in different niches of Daqu. We studied the microbial community structure of the natural inoculated Daqu (i.e., control Daqu) and the fortified Daqu (i.e., B. subtilis-inoculated Daqu) by amplicon sequencing. Our results showed that compared with the control Daqu rind microbial community, the relative abundance of Bacillus, Aspergillus, Thermomyces, and Rasamsonia in the fortified Daqu rind microbial community increased, and the relative abundance of Weissella, Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, and Pichia decreased. Compared with the control Daqu core microbial community, the relative abundance of Bacillus in the fortified Daqu core microbial community also increased, but the relative abundance of Pseudomonas and Paecilomyces decreased. The effect of B. subtilis inoculation on the rind microbial community of Daqu was more significant. In addition, the bacterial community of Daqu was more susceptible to the effect of the B. subtilis inoculation than was the fungal community of Daqu. The correlation between the bacterial community of Daqu and the fungal community of Daqu increased significantly after the B. subtilis inoculation. These results provide an important theoretical basis for the production of fortified Daqu.

Radix Salvia miltiorrhiza (RSM) is widely used for the clinical improvement of inflammatory diseases. However, the actions of RSM in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS) have not been fully explored. Therefore, this study was designed to use retrospective clinical data mining approach to understand the effects of RSM on AS-related immuno-inflammatory processes, use network pharmacology to predict therapeutic targets of RSM, and to further investigate the pharmacological molecular mechanism in vitro. RSM treatment has a long-term correlation with the improvement of AS-related immuno-inflammatory indicators through computational models. We established protein-protein interaction networks, conducted KEGG analysis to enrich significant TNF pathways, and finally obtained three core targets of RSM in the treatment of AS, namely, prostaglandin endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha). Screening of RSM active ingredients with node degree greater than 20 yielded cryptotanshinone and tanshinone IIA, and previous studies have reported their anti-inflammatory effects. In vitro, both cryptotanshinone and tanshinone IIA significantly inhibited the expressions of PTGS2, IL-6, and TNF-α in peripheral blood mononuclear cells in AS patients. In conclusion, cryptotanshinone and tanshinone IIA, which are the active components of RSM, may inhibit the activation of TNF signaling pathway in AS patients by downregulating the expression of PTGS2, IL-6, and TNF-α. These findings illustrate that RSM may be a promising therapeutic candidate for AS, but further validation is required.

Purpose This study aims to understand Chinese consumers’ perceived barriers to using peer-to-peer (P2P) accommodation before and after the outbreak of COVID-19 and the negotiation strategies they applied in overcoming the barriers and enabling consumption. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative research design with 28 semi-structured interviews was used. Data were analysed by content analysis. Findings Five psychological barriers and four functional barriers were found to inhibit consumers from using P2P accommodation both before and after the COVID-19 outbreak. In overcoming the perceived barriers, consumers applied both behavioural negotiation strategies, including seeking information, behavioural adaptation, selective choice and seeking social support, and cognitive negotiation strategies, including cognitive adaptation and trusting agents. COVID-19 was found to serve as both a barrier and a facilitator for using P2P accommodation. A barriers–negotiation framework was developed in the context. Research limitations/implications Theoretically, this study advances consumer resistance and perceived barriers literature by integrating negotiation and developing a barriers–negotiation framework of P2P accommodation usage. This study also offers insights for practitioners in the P2P accommodation industry. Originality/value This study showcases the role of negotiation in understanding barriers to using P2P accommodation, paving the way to extend relevant knowledge to advance consumer resistance research, which is an emerging topic in the broader management domain.

Purpose Multitilting-pad journal bearings (MTPJBs) used in large-scale hydraulic turbines often suffer from complex operating conditions, which greatly influence the overall performance of the rotating machine. The purpose of this study is to establish a thermal-elastic-hydrodynamic lubrication model for MTPJBs that can predict the static and dynamic characteristics of high-speed and heavy-load MTPJBs under different operating conditions. Design/methodology/approach A thermo-elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication model considering the turbulence effect is proposed for high-speed and heavy-load TPJBs, which is solved using the coupled finite difference method and finite element method. The model considered the turbulence effect, thermal energy diffusion, viscosity–temperature–pressure relationship and elastic deformation of the pads. The influences of the operating conditions on static and dynamic characteristics of tilting pad journal bearings were analyzed in depth. Findings The operating conditions have a strong effect on the static properties of the bearings. The dynamic characteristics of the TPJB were the most influenced by the shaft speed. The effects of the load direction on the dynamic properties of the TPJB were much stronger than those of the static characteristics. Originality/value This study used analytical methods and models to provide theoretical guidance for evaluating lubricating characteristics, assembling conditions and overall health.

Objectives Copy number alterations (CNAs) are frequently found in malignant tissues. Different approaches have been used for CNA detection. However, it is not easy to detect a large panel of CNA targets in heterogenous tumors. Methods We have developed a CNAs detection approach through quantitatively analyzed allelic imbalance by allelotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). Furthermore, the copy number changes were quantified by real-competitive PCR (rcPCR) to distinguish loss of heterozygosity (LOH) and genomic amplification. The approach was used to validate the CNA regions detected by next generation sequencing (NGS) in early-stage lung carcinoma. Results CNAs were detected in heterogeneous DNA samples where tumor DNA is present at only 10% through the SNP based allelotyping. In addition, two different types of CNAs (loss of heterozygosity and chromosome amplification) were able to be distinguished quantitatively by rcPCR. Validation on a total of 41 SNPs from the selected CNA regions showed that copy number changes did occur, and the tissues from early-stage lung carcinoma were distinguished from normal. Conclusions CNA detection by MALDI-TOF MS can be used for validating potentially interesting genomic regions identified from next generation sequencing, and for detecting CNAs in tumor tissues consisting of a mixture of neoplastic and normal cells.
