This research paper presents and structures a proposal for agro-industrial application using Unmanned Air Vehicles (UANs) or Drones in the wine sector, which proposes the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in synergy with advances in artificial intelligence. For development, the design and structuring of a remote service is considered that allows the user or owner to generate a request for wine monitoring through a communication network through a mobile application considering the use of a drone equipped with a vision system that allows to identify patterns and consequently detect characteristics in specific that have a high potential to pose an obvious risk; this with an approach that provides the user or producer with the information necessary for making effective decisions in the process of assisting the problems. All with the aim of developing tools that contribute and work for new contributions that generate a technological impact in the context of the sector considered important in the national economy.

This paper exposes the implementation of a robot in angular configuration for the performance of surface painting task, since the conditioning of a spraying tool in its end effector. Robot monitoring and control are executed by integrating a joint regulation system, based on the corresponding kinematic resolution, in communication with a computer interface, developed from LabVIEW software. A finished product inspection operation is contemplated, whose function is performed by a vision system added to the same management interface. The proposal of a trajectory in the end effector that imitates the external shape of the object to be painted in combination with the rotation control of a rotating table, on which such object remains during the process, has allowed to describe a minimum quantity of executions of the painted sequence to cover its entire surface; showing positive results. It is concluded in the convenience of this implementation with industrial orientation, by combining theoretical and practical knowledge essential in Engineering.

Although vascular surgery guidelines recommend immediate anticoagulation for acute occlusion of a peripheral artery, it is unclear whether trauma surgeons follow this practice. A survey regarding the use of perioperative anticoagulation was sent to surgeons who perform their own peripheral arterial repairs after traumatic injury to define contemporary practice patterns. This survey demonstrated minimal consensus opinion regarding the management of extremity vascular injuries, strongly suggesting the need for a consensus conference, meta-analysis, and prospective studies to guide further care.

To systematically study potential adverse events associated with the use of intraocular bevacizumab at a single medical center.Retrospective study of all consecutive patients receiving intraocular bevacizumab injections at the Stanford University Department of Ophthalmology between November 15, 2005 and July 14, 2006. Bevacizumab was given for exudative age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusion, diabetic macular edema, neovascular glaucoma, and five other indications.We analyzed medical records of 186 subjects (203 eyes) who received a total of 578 injections of 1.25 mg of bevacizumab. The average follow-up was approximately 6 months. Five eyes with exudative age-related macular degeneration developed retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) tears, all with preexisting RPE detachments. These five eyes represented 2.9% of all age-related macular degeneration eyes treated and 7% of the age-related macular degeneration eyes with preexisting RPE detachments at initiation of treatment. Other adverse events were rare and included retinal ischemia, subretinal hemorrhage, vitreous hemorrhage, ocular irritation or pain, worsened hypertension, and headache. No death or thromboembolic events were observed.Intraocular bevacizumab appears to be well tolerated for the treatment of a variety of retinal and choroidal vascular diseases. RPE tears may occur when treating choroidal neovascularization, particularly in patients with preexisting RPE detachment.

Options for a hemodynamically stable patient with a penetrating wound to the flank or back but no peritonitis, includes serial physical examinations versus a triple-contrast CT scan. There is, however, little consensus on the minimum time for serial examinations to exclude an injury that requires an operation. Therefore, a retrospective review of patients who sustained a penetrating wound to the flank or back and were admitted to a Level I trauma center was performed. Patients were identified through the trauma registry, patient charts, and morbidity/mortality records. From 1995 to 2003, 93 patients undergoing observation for a penetrating flank/back wound subsequently required a therapeutic laparotomy. The time from admission to operation was less than 3 hours for 84 per cent of the patients requiring therapeutic intervention. A further 10 per cent presented with symptoms between 4 to 6 hours, and 6 per cent between 7 to 18 hours. All the injuries caused symptoms within 18 hours of the injury event. The majority of patients (94%) who require a laparotomy after a period of observation for a penetrating flank/back wound will develop signs and symptoms within 6 hours of admission. A period of hospitalization longer than 18 hours did not detect further injuries in the asymptomatic patient.
