The oil and gas industry is one of the most important branches of the national economy. It differs from other branches of the fuel and energy complex in high capital investments and long construction and operation periods. One of the main tasks in gas industry enterprise management is the most efficient use of capital investments, which requires the adoption of informed decisions in oil and gas asset management. Gas industry enterprises include a large number of hazardous production facilities, accidents and incidents at which are the most dangerous for both personnel and population in general, as well as for the industry companies themselves. Emergencies at facilities can lead to financial and reputational losses, as well as damage the health and life of people and the environment. Therefore, the issue of planning measures for prevention, as well as localization and elimination of the accident consequences, is considered one of the priorities.The presence of video surveillance at production facilities is an integral part of an integrated security system. High-quality video surveillance helps to identify deviations in automated processes in a timely manner and take measures to eliminate failures and violations. Timely and rapid response to emergency situations prevents the occurrence of an accident, as well as prevents socio-economic damage.The authors have conducted many studies in the sphere of analysis of the organization of localization and liquidation of emergency situations and the effectiveness of personnel response in emergency situations at hazardous production facilities. Besides, studies of video surveillance systems in Gazprom UGS LLC branches – Departments of Emergency Recovery and Well Overhaul – have been conducted. Gazprom UGS LLC is the only operator of 23 underground gas storage facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation. Most of the Company's production facilities are located at a considerable distance from settlements and other infrastructure facilities, which increases the response time to emergency situations, and as a result, may lead to an emergency situation. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly control and monitor the integrity of the system. The authors have made conclusions about the need to improve existing video surveillance systems and expand their use at other branches of the Company.

BACKGROUND: The use of a vascularized fibular graft during reconstructive interventions on the limbs in children is a promising direction in the replacement of extensive bone defects in children. AIM: This study aimed to conduct a systematic review of the literature on microsurgical transplantation of a fragment of the fibula in the replacement of long bone defects in children. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Articles were searched in systems such as eLibrary, PubMed, and Google Scholar, with a search time range of 10 years (from 20122022, last query 11/08/2022). The following keywords were used for searching in Russian-language search engines: replacement of bone defects in children and fibula transplantation in children, and in the English-language search engines, microsurgical and fibula, microvascular and fibula, and bone and defect were used. After sorting the published studies, 17 publications were analyzed. RESULTS: The study analyzed a total of 690 patients (mean age 12 2.6 years). The predominant cause of the defects was malignant tumors in 647 patients (93.7% of all patients). Benign processes were also noted, which accounted for 0.87% of all patients: osteomyelitis, 2.0%; congenital pathology, 2.17%, and trauma, 1.45%. The mean follow-up period was 4.8 2.4 years. The survival rate of patients with cancer was 78.4%. Donor-side complications accounted for 14.7% of all complications. Recipient-zone complications were frequent and accounted for 85.3% of all complications (n = 457 cases). The main type of complications reported in the studies was graft fracture or fracture at the graft-bone level (35.7% of all complications). CONCLUSIONS: The use of a fragment of the vascularized fibula in the replacement of extensive bone defects enables a one-stage reconstruction of the limb with good long-term results in large segmental defects of various features. Despite the complications, this technique is one of the few that enables simultaneous limb reconstruction. The decision to use microsurgical fibula autotransplantation is based on the preference and surgical experience of the surgeon.

This article shows a very satisfactory performance of the DFT Koopmans theorem analogue was demonstrated with respect to the energy intervals between the electronic levels of 4Me-BODIPY derivatives.

BACKGROUND:To improve social policy and to study the mechanisms of public administration, it is important to analyze the trends in the development of the social phenomenon population disability. The need for a systematic analysis in the planning and regulation of social protection measures for people with disability and rehabilitation to minimize the risks of negative socioeconomic consequences leads to a long-term comprehensive study and analysis of disability indicators in the population of the Russian Federation. AIM:To identify the medical and social characteristics of the state and trends of disability in the Russian Federation and St. Petersburg for 20152019. MATERIALS AND METHODS:The study analyzed people with primary disability living in St. Petersburg and the Russian Federation. Data were obtained from the State Statistical Reporting 7 Social Security. Analytical, expert assessment methods, and statistical analysis were performed. RESULTS:During the study period (20142019), the level of primary disability in the adult population of the Russian Federation tended to decrease: in 2015, it was 58.9 per 10 thousand adult populations, and in 2019, it was 53.1 per 10 thousand people. The dynamics showed an uneven rate of decrease in the level of primary disability, with a peak decline in 2016. In the analysis of the indicators of people with primary disability by age, for over 5 years, the proportion of people of working age and with disabilities decreased from 46.8% in 2015 to 42.3% in 2019. A study of the need for vocational rehabilitation measures for people with disability, specifically the need to create special jobs for the employment of people with primary and secondary disabilities, showed that medical and social specialists identified the need to create special jobs for 27.7% of the analyzed population (n=15,977), and the largest share of recommendations on the need to create a special workplace was issued to people with secondary disability, i.e., 89.8% (n=14,341). The share of the recommendations on the creation of special jobs for people with secondary disability was 2.6 times higher than for those with primary disability, with an average of 72.3% (n=41,769), and recommendations were drawn up mainly for people with secondary disability, with 88.4% (n=36,937). CONCLUSIONS:At present, it is relevant to plan the socioeconomic costs for the implementation of social and vocational rehabilitation programs of people with disability and the creation of conditions for their employment in special jobs. This enables the delivery of organized and optimal rehabilitation for the constituents of the Russian Federation.

BACKGROUND: The study researched the structure of the OHIP-20 DG questionnaire, which was compiled from the questions of the validated international special questionnaire OHIP-49, to assess the patients quality of life depending on their mouths organs and tissue with the help of сategorical principal component analysis. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY: Reduce the original set of variables to an uncorrelated variables that carry the bulk of the information contained in the original set. MATERIAL AND METHODS: To determine the connections between the scales of the quality of life (QoL) questionnaire OHIP-20 DG and to assess the factor validity of the latter, data reduction with generalization procedure was conducted by the method of nonlinear principal component using the CatPCA algorithm. RESULTS: All scores from 0 to 4 were smoothed by a second-degree polynomial spline with three internal knots and ranking as a discretization method. To determine the number of necessary and sufficient components, Cattells scree plot and broken stick criteria were used. Calculations were performed using the IBM SPSS Statistics package (version 20), graphical constructions in the KyPlot (version 6.0), and PAST (version 4.06) packages. CONCLUSION: The factor structure of the questionnaire was explored using CatPCA algorithm of nonlinear principal component analysis. The analysis confirmed the factor validity of the OHIP-20 DG questionnaire, but found two weak structural elements that are not related to the QoL, but most likely have a connection with the psychosocial aspects of patients health. Comparison of the questionnaires initial scores with their quantification values revealed the nonlinearity of patients perception of most of the questionnaire items. Which allows for a broader interpretation of the patterns of patients perception of QoL and further improvement of the questionnaire.

Background: Toxic desomorphine encephalopathy (TDE) is a pathological condition that develops as a result of the intravenous use of a drug called Krokodil containing desomorphine, made in the artisanal conditions using codeine-containing drugs, organic solvents (gasoline), iodine and red phosphorus. This disease is more often observed in the CIS countries. In addition to the acute and chronic pathological conditions with the damage to various organs, the use of Krokodil is characterized by pronounced extrapyramidal manifestations in the form of dystonia, parkinsonism, postural disorders, as well as the occurrence of cognitive and affective disorders. Aims: To find the clinical and neuroimaging features of toxic desomorphine encephalopathy, as well as possible methods of its treatment. Methods: A clinical analysis of the medical documentation of 21 TDE patients (11 women and 10 men) with a history of the use of Krokodil was carried out, the patients had been under observation from 2014 to 2021. All the patients underwent a clinical physical and neurological examination, 14 of them underwent neuroimaging (brain MRI and/or MSCT). The observation of these patients revealed a number of characteristic clinical and neuroimaging features inherent in the majority of drug addicts. Results: The clinical picture of patients with TDE was dominated by movement disorders. All the patients had pronounced postural disorders and gait disturbance. Parkinsonism was observed in 20 of 21 patients. The hyperkinetic syndrome was presented in 17 patients (80.9%) and was manifested by dystonia of various localization with polymorphic manifestations. The brain MRI data taken from the Krokodil users for 3 years were characterized by symmetrical focal changes in the basal ganglia, brainstem, cerebellum and internal capsule of the thalamus in the form of an increase in the intensity of the MR signal in the T1 mode and attenuation in the T2-weighted images mode (7 of 11 cases), with the subsequent regression of these characteristics based on the results of the subsequent MRI studies. Conclusion: The study results have revealed the clinical manifestations characteristic of TDE polymorphic extrapyramidal disorders, as well as neuroimaging changes reflecting these data.

Ebola fever is an acute, highly contagious viral disease with a mortality rate that can reach 90%. There are currently no licensed therapeutic agents specific to Ebola in the world. Monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) with viral-neutralizing activity and high specificity to the Ebola virus glycoprotein (EBOV GP) are considered as highly effective potential antiviral drugs. Over the past decade, nanobodies (single-domain antibodies, non-canonical camelid antibodies) have found wide use in the diagnosis and treatment of various infectious and non-infectious diseases. In this study, a panel of nanobodies specifically binding to EBOV GP was obtained using recombinant human adenovirus 5, expressing GP (Ad5-GP) for alpaca (Vicugna pacos) immunization, for the first time. Based on specific activity assay results, affinity constants, and the virus-neutralizing activity against the recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus pseudotyped with EBOV GP (rVSV-GP), the most promising clone (aEv6) was selected. The aEv6 clone was then modified with the human IgG1 Fc fragment to improve its pharmacokinetic and immunologic properties. To assess the protective activity of the chimeric molecule aEv6Fc, a lethal model of murine rVSV-GP infection was developed by using immunosuppression. The results obtained in lethal model mice have demonstrated the protective effect of aEv6Fc. Thus, the nanobody and its modified derivative obtained in this study have shown potential protective value against Ebola virus.

Aim. To evaluate the safety and efficacy of long-term continuous use of Avegra BIOCAD (international nonproprietary name INN: bevacizumab) as a targeted therapy in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in real-world practice. Materials and methods. The paper presents the interim results of a multicenter prospective observational post-approval study of the safety and efficacy of Avegra BIOCAD (INN: bevacizumab) combined with chemotherapy in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Inclusion criteria: histology verified diagnosis of metastatic colorectal cancer; therapy with bevacizumab (by JSC BIOCAD, Russia) to all patients included in the study, as part of real-world clinical practice, at a dose of 5 mg/kg every 2 weeks or 7.5 mg/kg every 3 weeks in combination with standard cytotoxic regimens (FOLFOX 6, XELOX, etc.). The main safety criteria are the incidence of adverse reactions to bevacizumab and the rate of treatment withdrawal due to the development of adverse reactions to bevacizumab. Additional criteria are objective response rate (complete and partial response to therapy), disease control rate (ORR and stable disease), and rate of disease progression. Results. At the time of the interim analysis, 441 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in 28 research centers of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Saint Petersburg and regional clinics) were included in the study. Median age of patients is 62 (2887) years. Patients had an ECOG performance status of 01, with a median follow-up of 7.3 months. After the therapy, the disease control rate was 79.5%. The median PFS was 8 months (95% CI 7.04 to 9.00). The median OS was not reached. Toxicity associated with bevacizumab manifested predominantly as arterial hypertension (3%), diarrhea (1,1%) and asthenia (0.9%). Nine (2.1%) SARs were observed; three (0.6%) of them (COVID-19, intestinal obstruction, multiple organ failure) resulted in mortality. The obtained results are well consistent with the previously known bevacizumab safety profile characteristics. Conclusion. The interim analysis results confirm the favorable safety profile and high efficacy of Avegra BIOCAD (INN: bevacizumab) combined with standard cytotoxic regimens (FOLFOX, XELOX, etc.) as first-line therapy in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. The real-world data for ORR and PFS are comparable with clinical trials results. At the time of the interim analysis publication, the study is ongoing. Final conclusions on the safety and efficacy of bevacizumab (by JSC BIOCAD, Russia), will be made after the study is completed.

Objective: Optimization of the rates of overhaul runs on the basis of the results of the study of the distribution of failures of traction motors caused by a critical decrease in the insulation resistance of the windings to reduce the cost of eliminating the consequences of unscheduled repairs of locomotives. Methods: Mathematical statistics, probability theory, theory of reliability of technical systems are applied. Results: A cause-and-effect analysis was carried out of cases when locomotives were placed for unscheduled repairs in 2019–2020. An element has been determined that limits the rates of overhaul mileage of traction electric motors of locomotives. The theoretical distribution of failures of traction electric motors due to a critical decrease in the insulation resistance of its windings is obtained. The optimization of the norms of overhaul runs of locomotives was carried out according to the conditions of current repairs in the amount of TR-2 relative to traction electric motors. It was revealed that the failures are mainly associated with the first period of operation of traction motors. As a result of the analysis of the reasons for the failure of traction electric motors, it was found that most cases of unscheduled repairs fall on the first interval of locomotive runs due to the poor quality of repairs. In this case, the first normal peak of failures falls on the mileage in the modal interval from 156 to 234 thousand kilometers, when the overhaul mileage on TP-2 is 250 thousand kilometers, which necessitates its optimization within the preceding modal interval. Practical importance: The presented version of optimization of overhaul runs can be used to determine the rationality of establishing the norms for the periods of maintenance and repair operations on locomotive units under the conditions of a planned preventive control system for their technical condition

Textile-based flexible Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs) show promising mechanical flexibility that is appealing for a wide variety of wearable and flexible electronic applications. The flexibility of flexible LIBs nowadays is still limited. In addition, their power performance is too low to enable high-speed charging, due to the low conductivity of the textiles. Here, we develop highly electrically conductive metallic fabrics, which are fabricated by coating nanostructured Ni or Cu (nano-reliefs) on woven cotton fabrics, as current collectors to enable crumpled, high-power, and safe wearable LIBs. The nanostructured metal coating not only effectively increases the contact area between current collectors and active materials, but also shortens the charge carrier transport paths, so that LIBs constructed on these nanostructured metallic cotton fabrics exhibit a high power density of 439 W/L and superior electrochemical stability under various mechanical deformations including folding, twisting, squeezing, and impacting. This type of nanostructured metallic textile is highly desirable for portable and wearable electronic applications.

The increasing number of accidents relating to battery fire and explosion is raising people's attention towards safety of batteries. Abnormal battery operation can generate much heat and cause thermal runaway due to the exothermic reactions of the electrodes and electrolyte. Recently, dual-ion battery (DIB) has gained many interests because of its low cost and high working voltage compared with traditional lithium-ion battery (LIB). However, investigation on thermal stability of DIB is rare. In this paper, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to study the thermal stability of DIB using graphite as cathode with different states of charge (SOC) and with different amount of fluoroethylene carbonate as co-solvent in the electrolyte. Then, the thermal stability of graphite cathode for DIB was compared with those of LiCoO

The article highlights the course of long-term SARS-CoV-2 infection in a patient with a secondary immunodeficiency developed with B-cell-depleting therapy of the underlying disease. Analysis of the intrapatient virus evolution revealed an inpatient S:G75A mutation that alters the 72GTNGTKR78 motif of the S-protein, with a possible role in binding to alternative cellular receptors. Therapy with a ready-made COVID-19-globulin preparation (native human immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from the plasma of convalescent COVID-19-patients) resulted in rapid improvement of the patient's condition, fast, and stable elimination of the virus, and passive immunization of the patient for at least 30 days. The results suggest the use of products containing neutralizing antibodies opens new prospects for treatment algorithms for patients with persistent coronavirus infection, as well as for passive immunization schemes for patients with a presumably reduced specific response to vaccination.

BACKGROUND: Medical care quality improvement is one of the relevant aspects of healthcare development in the Russian Federation. However, healthcare workers are susceptible to occupational burnout syndrome due to the nature of their activities, which prevents care quality improvement. The literature indicated that the level of professional burnout varies among the representatives of different generations. AIM: This study aimed to compare the level of occupational burnout, the factors of its development, and the relationship with labor parameters among doctors of different generations in the Tomsk region. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study used the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire as well as several additional questions. RESULTS: The study involved 1669 physicians representing all generations. Due to the small number of individual generation representatives, they were distributed into three main groups: generation 3 represented by millennials and generation Z (n = 630), generation 2 included generation X (n = 783), and generation 1 included silent generation and boomers (n = 256). Doctors of generation 1 have the lowest workload. Generation 3 representatives have, on average, a higher level of depersonalization and reduction in professional achievements. Generation 2 doctors showed the highest level of emotional exhaustion compared to other generations. The lowest scores for all subscales of the MBI questionnaire were registered among the generation 1 doctors. Significant factors in the development of professional burnout in the younger generation include workplace dissatisfaction, lack of sleep, and the rare use of whole annual leave, which was most common in generation 3. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the study results, we can conclude that measures to prevent professional burnout should be separately selected for each generation.

Subject. The article discusses the financial behavior of households, and financial decisions. Objectives. I model patterns of households' financial behavior, referring the impact of stress factors on financial decisions. Methods. The financial behavior was analyzed through approaches proposed by D. Kahneman, A. Tversky and R. Thaler. However, instead of experiments, I rely upon surveys evaluating the financial literacy and behavior of people in the Sverdlovsk Oblast via social networks and conduct my research as a member of the task force of the Regions Center for Financial Literacy at the Ural State University of Economics. I took part in the preparation of questionnaires. Results. I proposed model patterns of financial behavior and substantiate what determines the behavioral pattern of people in distress. I also conclude that the impact of the COVID-19 on the financial and consumer behavior of people triggers destabilizing effects for the macroeconomic situation. Conclusions. Financial behavior modeling will help forecast financial and consumer shocks when the macroeconomic situation is destabilized, thus transforming the social policy.

Background. Applications of traditional treatment methods in children with congenital and acquired pathology of the musculoskeletal system are often limited, as wound defects of significant area and depth with a soft tissue and bone deficit may occur during the reconstruction of the segment. Microsurgical techniques, including autotransplantation of blood-supplied tissue complexes, make it possible to realize the aims of musculoskeletal segment reconstruction and reduce surgical treatment time. Aim. This study aimed to perform a retrospective (statistical) analysis of using microsurgical autotransplantation of tissue complexes in children. Materials and methods. Treatment outcomes of 871 patients with congenital and development deformities of the musculoskeletal system who underwent 1048 microsurgical autotransplantations of various tissue complexes in 19842018 were analyzed. Complications associated with impaired blood supply to transplanted autografts, requiring revision microsurgical interventions, were also statistically processed. Results. The mean patient age was 5.8 years (range, 10 months to 17 years). In children with congenital pathology (n = 597), transplantation of blood-supplied tissue complexes in 85.9% of the cases was performed in cases with hand deformities. In 285 cases of acquired deformities, post-traumatic finger stumps accounted for 45.5%, scar changes of soft tissues for 39.6%, and other pathological conditions for 14.9%. Most of the microsurgical operations were toe-to-hand transfers, which accounted for 81.8% of the total number of surgeries. In 79.4% of the cases, the second toe was used for the toe-to-hand transfer. Accordingly, the remaining toes were transferred in 20.6% of the cases. When replacing soft tissue defects, a thoracodorsal flap was used in 84 cases, which was 5.6% (of the total number of autotransplantations), and a groin flap was used in 22 patients. To replace bone defects, a blood-supplied fibula graft was used in 47 patients and a metatarsal bone graft in 41 children. Circulatory disorders in the postoperative period were noted in 5.9% of the total operations, which in 3.1% of cases resulted in the necrosis of the transplanted autograft. Conclusion. The treatment outcomes of using microsurgical autotransplantation of blood-supplied tissue complexes in the reconstruction of tissues and segments of the musculoskeletal system confirm their high efficacy.

The study deals with the vertical distribution and seasonal dynamics of planktonic ciliates in the pelagic and littoral zones of a saline meromictic Lake Shira. Fourteen species of free-living ciliates have been found in the Lake, seven of them inhabiting the pelagic zone. The richness of ciliates is higher both in terms of the number of species and biomass in the littoral zone compared to the pelagic zone. Although the ciliate species diversity is low in the pelagic zone, in certain seasons, the biomass of some of the species may reach considerable values, up to 3.4 g m−2 in the water column. The biomass of ciliates in Lake Shira is generally comparable to the average values for other mesotrophic lakes. The abundance and composition of ciliate populations in Lake Shira vary considerably with depth. Changes in the Lake ecosystem caused by meromixis breakdown in 2015-2016, which induced considerable variations in many Lake components, affected the vertical distribution of planktonic ciliates. However, the annual average biomass of the species that inhabited the Lake before meromixis breakdown remained unchanged. The total ciliate biomass increased due to the presence of the new species.

Long-chain alkenones (LCAs)—lipides produced by some microalgae of the Haptophyta group in seas and continental water bodies—are promising paleomarkers of climate changes because they are well-preserved in bottom sediments. The hydrocarbon chain and the degree of unsaturation of double bonds of this class of lipides can vary depending on habitat conditions of their producers. For the first time, we have discovered LCAs in the bottom sediments of two saline meromictic lakes Shira and Uchum located in arid steppes of southern Siberia (the North Minusinsk Depression) and estimated the distribution of their total content, length, and the degree of unsaturation. The highly abundant population of producers of LCAs—haptophyte algae of the genus Isochrysis (Haptophyta)—is revealed in the water column of Lake Uchum. It is shown that the species composition of the haptophyte algae and composition of the LCAs in the lakes under study are similar to those in saline stratified lakes of North America (Saskatchewan, Canada) with a similar climate and salt composition. The abundance of the С37:4 alkenone in the bottom sediments in the last 100 years reflected the variations in lake salinity caused by the documented changes in the water level. In this way, it is shown that the LCAs may be used as a paleomarker of climate-driven changes in the water level of the saline lakes in southern Siberia.

Lake Uchum is a newly defined meromictic lake in Siberia with clear seasonal changes in its mixolimnion. This study characterized the temporal dynamics and vertical profile of bacterial communities in oxic and anoxic zones of the lake across all four seasons: October (autumn), March (winter), May (spring), and August (summer). Bacterial richness and diversity in the anoxic zone varied widely between time points. Proteobacteria was the dominant bacterial phylum throughout the oxic and anoxic zones across all four seasons. Alphaproteobacteria (Loktanella) and Gammaproteobacteria (Aliidiomarina) exhibited the highest abundance in the oxic and anoxic zone, respectively. Furthermore, there was a successional shift in sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and sulfur-oxidizing bacteria in the anoxic zone across the seasons. The most dominant SRB, Desulfonatronovibrio sp., is likely one of the main producers of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and typically accumulates the most H2S in winter. The representative anoxygenic phototrophic bacterial group in Lake Uchum was purple sulfur bacteria (PSB). PSB were dominant (60.76%) in summer, but only had 0.2-1.5% relative abundance from autumn to spring. Multivariate analysis revealed that the abundance of these SRB and PSB correlated to the concentration of H2S in Lake Uchum. Taken together, this study provides insights into the relationships between changes in bacterial community and environmental features in Lake Uchum.

Long-term measurements show that the sedimentation dynamics of okenone (a carotenoid of purple sulfur bacteria) reflects the abundance of purple sulfur bacteria, the hydrogen sulfide content, and the stratification stability in the closed saline meromictic Shira Lake (Southern Siberia, Russia). The profile of fossil okenone in bottom sediments has been compared with the data on the water surface level in the lake over the last 100 years. The peaks of okenone correspond to lake transgressions, and the drops in the okenone content coincide with periods of stable or decreasing water level. Our observations show that fossil okenone may be used as a qualitative proxy of meromictic conditions and as a quantitative proxy of the water level dynamics in closed stratified lakes. Therefore, okenone can be used for qualitative reconstructions of the water balance and climate humidity in arid zones.

The article summarizes the instrumental and macroseismic data obtained in the area of Katav-Ivanovsk earthquake, which occurred on September 4, 2018, in Chelyabinsk region, Russia. The earthquake was the strongest instrumentally recorded earthquake in the Urals (mb=5.4) and at the same time, it had the most seismic intensity among other earthquakes in Russia in 2018 (I0=6 points). The uniqueness of this event was given by the fact that after it for the first time for the Urals the aftershock process was recorded, the active stage of which lasted more than 1 year. Like the mainshock, some aftershocks had a significant macroseismic effect. The work contains the results of studies that allowed to determine the exact coordinates of the epicenter in conditions of lack of near stations using the relative location technique. New processing approaches also made it possible to estimate the depth of the focus through a function of phase spectrum matching. Finally, a considerable amount of macroseismic data formed the basis of the macroseismic field map.

We calculate the current–phase relation (CPR) of a SN-S-SN Josephson junction based on a SN bilayer of variable thickness composed of a highly disordered superconductor (S) and a low-resistivity normal metal (N) with proximity-induced superconductivity. In such a junction, the N layer provides both a large concentration of phase in the weak link and good heat dissipation. We find that when the thickness of the S and the N layer and the length of the S constriction are about the superconducting coherence length the CPR is single-valued and can be close to a sinusoidal shape. The product IcRn can reach Δ(0)/2|e| (Ic is the critical current of the junction, Rn is its normal-state resistance, Δ(0) is the superconductor gap of a single S layer at zero temperature). Our calculations show, that the proper choice of the thickness of the N layer leads both to nonhysteretic current–voltage characteristics even at low temperatures and a relatively large product IcRn.

Background. Congenital radial club hand is characterized by the radial deviation of the hand, the longitudinal underdevelopment of the forearm, and the dysfunction of the upper limb. The shortening of the ulna is observed in all types of congenital radial club hand. The average shortening of the ulna surgical treatment was 33.3% compared to the intact contralateral side. Aim. This study aimed to evaluate the results of ulna elongation by the method of external fixation, depending on the level of osteotomy, in patients with congenital radial club hand type IIIIV. Materials and methods. The treatment results of 36 patients with congenital radial club hand type IIIIV from 1998 to 2018 were analyzed. The average age of the patients was 7.4 years 3.5 years. The patients were divided into three groups, depending on the level of ulnar osteotomy. Shortening of the ulna, correction of the angle of deformity of the ulna, radial deviation of the hand, period of correction, elongation obtained, index of fixation and osteosynthesis, and associated complications were analyzed. Results. The observation period was an average of 5.8 years. Before surgical treatment, the ulna was 33.3% shorter, while after surgery, it was 16%. Before surgery, the angle of deformation was 20.5 14.8, while after surgery, it was 7.4 5.6; this gives an angle of deformity correction of 63.9%. The elongation of the ulna was 3.2 1.1 cm. In patients who underwent proximal osteotomy, the resulting elongation was 32% and 18.4% more, respectively, than in patients who underwent an osteotomy in the middle and distal sections of the ulna. In group 1, the correction period was 24.4% and 28.9% more than in groups 2 and 3, respectively. The index of fixation in group 1 was 53.6%, which was 45.7% less than in groups 1 and 3. Postoperative complications included a false joint (15%), inflammation (10%), and forearm deformities (7.5%). Conclusions. In patients with congenital radial club hand type IIIIV, the optimal part of an ulna osteotomy is the proximal section. With a hand deviation of more than 20, osteotomy is performed in the distal section with simultaneous correction of the deformity.

The demand for digital technologies has been growing due to a shift in the technological and economic paradigm. The need for online services has increased since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. There are significant disparities between Russian regions in the digital technology accessibility and the development of computer skills. In 2020, the Internet diffused rapidly in most regions, although previously, there had been a slowdown. As markets got saturated with digital services, the digital divide between Russian regions narrowed. Overall, the Internet use patterns are consistent with those of the spatial diffusion of innovations. Amongst the leaders, there are regions home to the largest agglomerations and northern territories of Russia, whereas those having a high proportion of rural population lag behind. Coastal and border regions (St. Petersburg, the Kaliningrad region, Karelia, Primorsky Krai, etc.) have better access to the Internet due to their proximity to the centres of technological innovations as well as the high intensity of external relations. Leading regions have an impact on their neighbours through spatial diffusion. Econometrically, access to the Internet depends on income, the average age and level of education, and its use depends on the business climate and Internet accessibility factors. Regional markets are gradually getting more saturated with digital services and technologies. The difference between regions in terms of access to the Internet is twofold, whereas, in terms of digital technology use, the gap is manifold. In many regions, the share of online commerce, which became the driver of economic development during the lockdown, is minimal. Based on the results of the study, several recommendations have been formulated.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the employee lifecycle management (ELM) sphere, leading to the adoption of new human resource (HR) technologies and policies. This study investigates the impact of megatrends, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and innovation on ELM and human resource management (HRM) policies in China, Russia, and Indonesia. Data were collected through structured interviews and publicly available information from companies in these countries between 2021 and 2022. The study evaluates the effects of artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation (DT), and innovations on the sustainable development of ELM and identifies differences in technological responses to ELM in companies depending on their level of digital maturity. The results show that the majority of companies have continued the process of ELM digital transformation, but the percentage varies based on the scope of activity, labor, and readiness of the country to implement new technologies. The study reveals that large companies in each analyzed country with over 10,000 employees have a greater need and opportunity to implement HR digital transformation, whereas small companies with up to 100 people can operate without automation. In addition, the findings of this study provide propositions for designing how AI and innovations contribute to ELM. This article contributes to the current debate in the literature by substantiating the positive impact of AI, digital technology, and innovation on ELM and HRM strategies, offering practical applications for companies to improve productivity. Overall, this study highlights the importance of adopting innovative HR technologies in response to global challenges and workplace trends.

The synthesis of the title compounds was performed from (-)-cis-myrtanic and (-)-myrtenic acids. The compounds obtained were characterized using 1H- and 13C-NMR, IR, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Despite the presence of quaternary ammonium moiety, both compounds had moderate antimicrobial activity with a MIC of 128 µg/mL on S. aureus and 512 µg/mL on E. coli. The antifungal activity was low on Candida isolates, while also comparable with conventional antimycotic (Fluconazole) on filamentous fungi. These data suggest that two bulky bicyclic terpene fragments apparently both increase lipophilicity and close the quaternary ammonium moiety located in the center of molecules and thus drastically decrease the antimicrobial potential of bipharmacophore.

Meromictic lakes usually harbour certain prevailing anoxygenic phototrophic bacteria in their anoxic zone, such as the purple sulfur bacterium (PSB) Thiocapsa sp. LSW (hereafter LSW) in Lake Shunet, Siberia. PSBs have been suggested to play a vital role in carbon, nitrogen and sulfur cycling at the oxic–anoxic interface of stratified lakes; however, the ecological significance of PSBs in the lake remains poorly understood. In this study, we explored the potential ecological role of LSW using a deep-sequencing analysis of single-cell genomics associated with flow cytometry. An approximately 2.7 Mb draft genome was obtained based on the co-assembly of five single-cell genomes. LSW might grow photolithoautotrophically and could play putative roles not only as a carbon fixer and diazotroph, but also as a sulfate reducer/oxidizer in the lake. This study provides insights into the potential ecological role of Thiocapsa sp. in meromictic lakes.

The derivatization of graphene to engineer its band structure is a subject of significant attention nowadays, extending the frames of graphene material applications in the fields of catalysis, sensing, and energy harvesting. Yet, the accurate identification of a certain group and its effect on graphene’s electronic structure is an intricate question. Herein, we propose the advanced fingerprinting of the epoxide and hydroxyl groups on the graphene layers via core-level methods and reveal the modification of their valence band (VB) upon the introduction of these oxygen functionalities. The distinctive contribution of epoxide and hydroxyl groups to the C 1s X-ray photoelectron spectra was indicated experimentally, allowing the quantitative characterization of each group, not just their sum. The appearance of a set of localized states in graphene’s VB related to the molecular orbitals of the introduced functionalities was signified both experimentally and theoretically. Applying the density functional theory calculations, the impact of the localized states corresponding to the molecular orbitals of the hydroxyl and epoxide groups was decomposed. Altogether, these findings unveiled the particular contribution of the epoxide and hydroxyl groups to the core-level spectra and band structure of graphene derivatives, advancing graphene functionalization as a tool to engineer its physical properties.

The problem of combating forest fires is very relevant to this day. The development of machines designed to extinguish and prevent uncontrolled forest fires, especially in waterless areas, is the most important area of scientific research. The article presents scientific research on simulation modeling of the interaction of a soil-marking drum with obstacles of two types: stones and logging residues. For the study, a simulation method was used in the 3D-CAD environment of the SolidWorks Simulation system, which made it possible to conduct a virtual experiment of a solid model and determine the behavior under static and dynamic loads that occur in emergency situations. The purpose of the work was to develop a 3D model of a soil-throwing drum machine for extinguishing and preventing forest fires to conduct simulation studies on a virtual stand to determine the dynamic loads in contact with obstacles of the soil-throwing drum blades based on the created solid model. For the process of studying the soil-marking drum when encountering obstacles in the form of logging residues and stony inclusions, an imitation virtual stand was created. The paper presents the results of the analysis of data obtained on the basis of simulation modeling.

Turkish lakes Van and its satellite Erchek are located in a climate-sensitive area between the seas Black, Caspian and Mediterranean at the intersection of the atmospheric South-West flow and the Northern branch of the subtropical high-pressure belt. It is shown that the sediments of the adjacent lakes Van and Erchek at a distance of 20 km from each other, synchronously reacted to regional changes in the environment. This work contains high-resolution geochemical data on bottom sediments, which allowed converting them into time series of paleotemperature and lake level fluctuations on an annual-decadal scale. Physical and chemical conditions in model equilibrium systems (solid phase + water + gas) in the real range of external hydro-climatic factors were estimated based on the mineral composition of lake sediments of clay-carbonate type. To create a timescale, we used visual calculations of annual rhythms, as well as seasonal fluctuations in the content of elements. The time series of elements were synchronized with recent changes in weather conditions and with fluctuations in lake levels. So geochemical series calibrated on hydro-meteorological data were transformed by multiple regression approach into numerical reconstructions of natural parameters on a time scale. As a result, quantitative reconstructions of regional temperature were calculated: for Lake Van 1300 and Erchek - 840 years ago, as well as Van level 840 yrs.
