The supporting system is very important to deep foundation pit engineering quality. It's affected by many fuzzy factors. Furthermore, the performance of each supporting mode can not be simply expressed as good or bad, it could be considered as a gray-colored question. In this paper, the task is taken as a comprehensive evaluating question to all kinds of supporting modes, and the best appropriate mode will be selected by its rank in the evaluation. As its grey-colored characteristics, the algorithm on grey system theory is used to solve the problem, and to get the best answer form the sequence it created.
