Here includes the model outputs from CRHM in the study White Gull Creek forest basin in Saskatchewan, Canada. File names including "ASP","HJP","OJP" and "OBS" indicate simulation scenarios under which the corresponding forest types of Aspen, Harvested Jack Pine, Old Jack Pine and Old Black Spruce are assumed to be clear cut. "RMUW" indicates file that include the simulations of rain runoff, melt runoff, subsurface flow from soil water and deep groundwater outflow. The simulation was conducted at a hourly interval,ranging from 1998 to 2016. Six temperature warming scenarios with +1 to +6 degree, and six precipitation change scenarios with 70% to 130% of current observations were used to drive the model.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is an advanced imaging sensor that can image side-looking terrain. Unlike a stationary scene, due to not knowing the motion parameters, ground moving target (GMT) is defocused in a background image, which causes difficulties in their use for further applications. This paper proposes a new ground moving target imaging method. The motion parameters are estimated according to the estimated Doppler parameters. Range cell migration (RCM) are estimated and corrected accordingly, which helps get a clear GMT image. Experimental results obtained from extensive numerical simulated data validate our proposed approach.

Standard synthetic aperture radar SAR processors use analytically derived transfer functions that rely on the assumption of hyperbolic range histories of monostatic SARs with straight flight paths. The range histories for bistatic SARs are no longer hyperbolic and simple analytic transforms do not exist. In this article, a bistatic subsection hyperbolic range history BS-HRH model is proposed and based on it; a generic processing scheme for bistatic SAR imaging is given with which simple analytic transforms for standard monostatic SARs can still be applied. One-dimensional and two-dimensional signal-level simulations are done using the orbit parameters of Envisat and a classic pendulum-like bistatic configuration under different baselines. It is found that the proposed BS-HRH algorithm performs well for spaceborne bistatic SARs even with extreme bistatic configurations and/or very high azimuth resolution. Compared with the existing analytical ‘method of series reversion MSR’ and the numerical ‘NuSAR’ algorithm, easy implementation, high efficiency and accuracy, and mathematical simplicity are among the advantages of the proposed algorithm. The approach of BS-HRH has the potential to solve the general HRH-deviation problem for other new SARs with more complex imaging geometry.

HRWS-SAR steers the antenna to increase the synthetic aperture which causes the radar changes beam squint angle gradually. The squint angle increases with the demanding of the resolution and swath width. With the squint increasing, the relative velocity between radar and lighting swath may reach several km/s. It causes the intra-pulse modulation on the echo. The traditional pulse compressing under the stop-go-stop assumption has bad performance including resolution decrease and PSLR increase. The paper established the echo model. The chirp rate is slightly changed because of the relative velocity. And velocity compensation method is put forward. The experiment results show that the pulse is well compressed. The PSLR and the resolution are restored to normal level.

A WC–Co–Cr coating was deposited by a high velocity oxy-fuel thermal spray (HVOF) onto a 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel substrate to increase its cavitation erosion resistance. After the HVOF process, it was revealed that the amorphous phase, nanocrystalline grains (Co–Cr) and several kinds of carbides, including Co3W3C, Co6W6C, WC, Cr23C6, and Cr3C2 were present in the coating. The hardness of the coating was improved to be 11.3 GPa, about 6 times higher than that of the stainless steel substrate, 1.8 GPa. Due to the presence of those new phases in the as-sprayed coating and its higher hardness, the cavitation erosion mass loss eroded for 30 h was only 64% that of the stainless steel substrate. The microstructural analysis of the coating after the cavitation erosion tests indicated that most of the corruptions took place at the interface between the un-melted or half-melted particles and the matrix (Co–Cr), the edge of the pores in the coating, and the boundary of the twin and the grain in the stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9Ti.

The micro-motion modulation effect of the rotated propellers to radar echo can be a steady feature for aircraft target recognition. Thus, micro-Doppler feature parameter estimation is a key to accurate target recognition. In this paper, the radar echo of rotated propellers is modelled and simulated. Based on which, the distribution characteristics of the micro-motion modulation energy in time, frequency and time-frequency domain are analyzed. The micro-motion modulation energy produced by the scattering points of rotating propellers is accumulated using the Inverse-Radon (I-Radon) transform, which can be used to accomplish the estimation of micro-modulation parameter. Finally, it is proved that the proposed parameter estimation method is effective with measured data. The micro-motion parameters of aircraft can be used as the features of radar target recognition.

The multichannel in azimuth synthetic aperture radar (MC-SAR) system is very promising for high-resolution and wide-swath (HRWS) imaging, whereas Doppler centroid block estimation related to the channel phase calibration has a great influence on image quality. In order to solve the problem of the Doppler centroid block estimation, this paper proposes an effective way to improve its precision. This paper analyses the reason of the Doppler ambiguity hop when estimating the Doppler centroid in block. According to the position of the reference baseband Doppler centroid and the block estimate of baseband Doppler centroid, the Doppler ambiguity is adjusted differently. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by real airborne data.
