Background: To mitigate diabetes and its complications in cardiovascular diseases, the antidiabetic agent Glimepiride (GLM) is usually administered with Ferulic Acid (FA) concomitantly in clinical settings. However, both drugs are prone to be metabolized partly by CYP2C9; thus, they have the potential drug-drug interaction affecting safety and efficacy. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the Pharmacokinetic (PK) effects of ferulic acid on glimepiride and its metabolite hydroxy glimepiride (OH-GLM) in plasma by using the HPLCMS/ MS method. Methods: Healthy male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups and received intragastric administration of 0.5% sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), low-dose of FA (20 mg•kg-1 ), and high-dose of FA (40 mg•kg-1) for 8 days, respectively. Rats were given 0.5% sodium CMC or FA on the last day and then uniformly given 1.0 mg•kg-1 glimepiride by gavage. Blood samples were obtained from retro-orbital plexus at the time points of 0.167, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 24 h after administration. Plasma samples were analyzed for GLM and its metabolite OH-GLM on an HPLC-MS/MS system. Results: No statistically significant difference was found in the effect of low-dose of FA on the pharmacokinetics of GLM. However, high-dose of FA significantly decreased Cmax of GLM by 30.05% and CLz/F of OH-GLM by 47.45% and increased Tmax and t1/2z of GLM by 95.87% and 140.00%, respectively. Conclusion: Low-dose of FA did not alter GLM metabolism, while high-dose treatment of FA apparently caused pharmacokinetics interaction with GLM in rats.

： Background: Arteriosclerosis has genetic correlation. Many studies have shown that Angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor gene A1166C Polymorphism is highly associated with Arteriosclerosis, but there is no evidence-based basis. The purpose of this study is to systematically evaluate the relationship between Angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor gene A1166C Polymorphism and Arteriosclerosis. Methods: The search time is set from the establishment of the database in December 2020 in this study. The search database include China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, VIP and China Biology Medicine disc (CBM), PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library. The subjects are observational studies on the relationship between AGTR1 A1166C Polymorphism and Arteriosclerosis (including case-control study, cross-sectional study and cohort study). The language is limited to English and Chinese. The data of the included study are extracted and the literature quality is evaluated by two researchers independently. The data are statistically analyzed by Stata 16.0 software. Results: This study will use pulse wave velocity (PWV) as an index to evaluate Arteriosclerosis to explore the relationship between Angiotensin II type 1 receptor gene A1166C Polymorphism and Arteriosclerosis. Conclusion: This study will provide evidence-based medicine for elucidating the genetic tendency of Arteriosclerosis.

Perceiving the ambient presence of others becomes a challenge when social groups such as families, learning groups, and workgroups transition into remote forms. The need for intimate communication, serendipitous encounters, and simply the plural forms of the presence of others are unmet with existing remote communication tools. Although technology advancement brings about proliferating communication tools, little has gone beyond a dominant visual and linguistic paradigm. How might we designplural forms of medium to support remote ambient presence for remote social groups? In this thesis, I investigated the context and need of remote social groups. I studied theories and frameworks related to creating and perceiving the remote presence of others. I synthesized a design framework for remote ambient presence based on my investigations in telematic art, phatic technology, and multi-modal interactions. The learnings have focused onengaging a wider range of modalities in interaction design for remote communication, challenging the norm of designing through dominant mediums. I generated four design prompts that address values related to the multi-aspect construct of ambient presence in remote communication, including ‘privacy’, ‘serendipity’, ’immersion’,and ‘emotion’. The design prompts led to five design experiments responding to the unmet needs of remote social groups. As such, the design experiments further revealed context-specific insights through experience testing, evaluations with questionnaires, and user discussions. Mainly, Spatial audio is a medium that isnon-intrusive with a high level of immersion. User-generateddomestic ambient sound experienced through spatial audio could enable the perception of remote ambient presence. People prefer that their presence is perceived without direct surveillance. For example, Users are sensitive to the fidelity of sensors and prefer leaner sensors when it comes to ‘always-on’ connection. And, novel ways of interaction design for remote ambient presence can evoke emotions. For example, laughter can be reinforced remotely.

This paper proposes a novel observer-based sliding mode control (SMC) to enhance the performance of autonomous vehicles (AVs) rollover behavior under various road profile input. The model of half-car system is first established to describe the AVs rollover behavior by considering nonlinear dynamics of tire force and controllable suspension force under various movement conditions. Moreover, an unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) algorithm is proposed to identify the sprung mass. Combing with the interacting multiple model (IMM) approach and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) theory, a novel interacting multiple model unscented Kalman Filters (IMMUKF) observer based is developed to estimate the movement state of AVs system. Then, an adaptive observer-based sliding mode control (AOSMC) strategy is proposed to constrain the AVs roll performance under the various external input. The stability of the proposed algorithm is proved by using Lyapunov function. Finally, simulations and validations are performed on a high-fidelity CarSim® software by using J-turn scenario under various road excitation, to validate the proposed algorithm for AVs system, and the results illustrate that the improved roll states are more than 15% compared with the traditional SMC algorithm.
