Road markings regulate and direct traffic by conveying specific information. It is of great significance to develop new road marking materials and improve the visibility of marking materials for improving traffic efficiency and ensuring traffic safety. This paper summarized the development status of various reflective road markings at home and abroad. In addition, the energy storage luminescent fluorescent/phosphor marking lines in road marking was emphatically generalized to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different improvement methods. Overall, strontium aluminate doped with Eu2+ co-doped with Dy3+ (SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+) phosphors and self-luminous pavement for energy storage had great prospects in improving road safety and reducing energy consumption.

Aims The colonization of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) along plant roots in turn facilitates their ability to promote plant growth and health. In this study, we found that Bacillus subtilis strain WM13-24 from the rhizosphere of Haloxylon ammodendron was able to promote the growth of both Arabidopsis and its host plant. Furthermore, we found that volatile compounds (VCs) from strain WM13-24 could promote plant growth by stimulating lateral root formation and root hair growth. However, the molecular mechanism underlying WM13-24-stimulated root development is still unknown. Methods In this study, a series of Arabidopsis mutants defective in specific plant hormone signaling pathways were used as materials to preliminarily study the effect of volatile compounds (VCs) released by strain WM13-24 on plant root development through genetic and pharmacological methods. The volatile compounds of strain WM13-24 were identified by solid-phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPME-GC-MS). Results The results showed that auxin signaling and transport played a crucial role in WM13-24-stimulated changes of root architectures in Arabidopsis. SPME-GC-MS analysis revealed that WM13-24 produces 2, 3-butanediol and benzyl alcohol and the growth responses of plants to the two VCs were concentration dependent. Conclusions All these results suggested that VCs emitted from Bacillus subtilis strain WM13-24 from the rhizosphere of Haloxylon ammodendron improves root development depending on auxin signaling.

This paper presents the time-frequency characteristics of ground vibrations near subway stations through field tests and analyses. More than 15 ground vibration measurement points are set up in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the track near a subway station. Overall, the ground vibration level (VLzmax) above the tunnel is approximately 73 dB on the border between the station and mainline, while it attenuates to 63 dB away from the tunnel by approximately 30 meters; the dominant frequency in the mainline area is approximately 63-80 Hz. The results in the longitudinal direction show that the ground vibration increases rapidly as the train drives away from the station because of the train speed growing, and VLzmax is less than 10 dB between the station and near the mainline area, while the dominant frequency in the mainline area is higher than that in the station area. The attenuation rate of the ground vibration in the transverse direction for the mainline area is faster than that for the station area. The power distribution law y=Ax^(-α) can describe the vibration attenuation characteristics, and its "peak and long tail effect" and "scale-free characteristics" can predict the vibration at any position by measuring two specified locations.

Building foundation elastic pad is one of the important measures for subway vibration control. In order to understand the subway vibration control effect of elastic pad on superstructure, two identical concrete test blocks were poured on site near a subway line. Taking the real subway vibration load as the input source strength, the vibration isolation effect of elastic pad on upper concrete mass block was compared and analyzed; At the same time, the influence of the backfill around the underground foundation of the building on the vibration isolation effect is simulated and analyzed. The backfill has a non negligible restraint effect on the building, improves the vertical natural frequency of the "building elastic pad" system, and then reduces the vibration isolation effect of the elastic pad. Therefore, it is very necessary to lay the elastic pad on the side wall around the building to reduce the lateral restraint effect of the backfill.

Atherosclerotic complications represent the leading cause of cardiovascular mortality globally. Dysfunction of endothelial cells (ECs) often initiates the pathological events in atherosclerosis.In this study, we sought to investigate the transcriptional profile of atherosclerotic aortae, identify novel regulator in dysfunctional ECs and hence provide mechanistic insights into atherosclerotic progression.We applied single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) on aortic cells from Western diet-fed apolipoprotein E-deficient (ApoEAmong the compendium of aortic cells, mesenchymal markers in ECs were significantly enriched. Two EC subsets were subsequently distinguished, as the 'endothelial-like' and 'mesenchymal-like' subsets. Conventional assays consistently identified SOX4 as a novel atherosclerotic marker in mouse and different human arteries, additional to a cancer marker. EC-specific SOX4 overexpression promoted atherogenesis and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT). Importantly, hyperlipidemia-associated cytokines and oscillatory blood flow upregulated, whereas the anti-diabetic drug metformin pharmacologically suppressed SOX4 level in ECs.Our study unravels SOX4 as a novel phenotypic regulator during endothelial dysfunction, which exacerbates atherogenesis. Our study also pinpoints hyperlipidemia-associated cytokines and oscillatory blood flow as endogenous SOX4 inducers, providing more therapeutic insights against atherosclerotic diseases.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) or Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the major microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus (DM). DN is observed in approximately 20–40% of diabetic patients. DN is also an important risk factor for DM patient’s death. Nowadays, DN has become the leading cause of chronic renal failure (CRF) in most countries without effective therapeutic methods. Recently, the renoprotective effects mediated by vitamin D have been evidenced. Currently available evidence showed that vitamin D is effective in reducing proteinuria in DN patients. A recent meta-analysis demonstrated the therapeutic effect of vitamin D, on urinary albumin excretion, in DN patients. This review summarized the multiple roles of vitamin D in mechanism of renopretective effect of vitamin D to explore much more and effective therapeutic methods for DN.

Graph convolutional networks (GCNs) have been introduced to effectively process non-Euclidean graph data. However, GCNs incur large amounts of irregularity in computation and memory access, which prevents efficient use of traditional neural network accelerators. Moreover, existing dedicated GCN accelerators demand high memory volumes and are difficult to implement onto resource limited edge devices. In this work, we propose LW-GCN, a lightweight FPGA-based accelerator with a software-hardware co-designed process to tackle irregularity in computation and memory access in GCN inference. LW-GCN decomposes the main GCN operations into Sparse Matrix-Matrix Multiplication (SpMM) and Matrix-Matrix Multiplication (MM). We propose a novel compression format to balance workload across PEs and prevent data hazards. Moreover, we apply data quantization and workload tiling, and map both SpMM and MM of GCN inference onto a uniform architecture on resource limited hardware. Evaluation on GCN and GraphSAGE are performed on Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA with three popular datasets. Compared to existing CPU, GPU, and state-of-the-art FPGA-based accelerator, LW-GCN reduces latency by up to 60×, 12×, and 1.7× and increases power efficiency by up to 912×, 511×, and 3.87×, respectively. Furthermore, compared with NVIDIA’s latest edge GPU Jetson Xavier NX, LW-GCN achieves speedup and energy savings of 32× and 84×, respectively.

For isolating multi-dimensional vibration experienced by vehicle-mounted precise facility, a multi-dimensional vibration isolator based on parallel mechanism with joint clearance is designed and analyzed. The main thrust of the work is establishing kinematic and dynamic equations of the isolator, and exploring vibration isolation capability with joint clearance. Firstly, type synthesis of the parallel mechanism with three translations and one rotation is performed. The kinematic and dynamic equations of the isolator with joint clearance are deduced. Subsequently, vibration isolation performance is simulated with different values of joint clearance under harmonic and stochastic excitations in time and frequency domain respectively. The simulating results demonstrate the proposed isolator with joint clearance inhibit multi-dimensional vibration effectively. The first order resonance peak is sensitive to the increment of joint clearance. Finally, the proposed multi-dimensional vibration isolator is fabricated. The vibration isolation experiment is conducted. Through experimental results, the isolator reduces multi-dimensional vibration effectively in time and frequency domain significantly. The vibration isolation capability degenerates as the counterweight of moving platform increasing.

The aim of this study was to provide an accurate and improved understanding of anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) anatomy, and to determine the exact positioning and diameter of the bony tunnel during ATFL repair and/or reconstruction surgery.A total of 58 healthy asymptomatic volunteers were examined, wherein 38 underwent bilateral ankle 3D MRI, and 20 underwent unilateral ankle 3D MRI (10 left and 10 right ankles). Data from a total of 96 MRI datasets were collected. The MRI data from these cases were exported into Mimics to enable reconstruction of 3D ATFL models. The resulting image quality was evaluated using a 5-point subjective scoring system. In addition, the length, width, thickness, and positioning of each ATFL and the area of the ATFL footprints were identified within the 3D model using Mimics and SolidWorks.The image quality score was 4.48 ± 0.50. The ATFL formed one (65.6%), two (31.3%), or three (3.1%) bundles forms. The footprint area was 31.25 ± 6.29 mmThin-slice 3D MRI aids in the reconstruction of the 3D ATFL model, and it provides reference for the accurate anatomy of the area and location of the ATFL. This technology will facilitate diagnosis of ATFL injuries and choice of surgical methods.level IV.

The distributed, real-time algorithms for multiple pursuers cooperating to capture an evader are developed in an obstacle-free and an obstacle-cluttered environment, respectively. The developed algorithm is based on the idea of planning the control action within its safe, collision-free region for each robot. We initially present a greedy capturing strategy for an obstacle-free environment based on the Buffered Voronoi Cell (BVC). For an environment with obstacles, the obstacle-aware BVC (OABVC) is defined as the safe region, which considers the physical radius of each robot, and dynamically weights the Voronoi boundary between robot and obstacle to make it tangent to the obstacle. Each robot continually computes its safe cells and plans its control actions in a recursion fashion. In both cases, the pursuers successfully capture the evader with only relative positions of neighboring robots. A rigorous proof is provided to ensure the collision and obstacle avoidance during the pursuit-evasion games. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the developed algorithms.

Objective: This research aimed to evaluate the effects of age on growth, tibia development, and intestinal calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) transporter gene expressions in broiler chickens.Methods: A total of 224 male Arbor Acres broilers were fed with nutrient-adequate diets and reared in eight cages (28 broilers per cage). Eight broilers (one broiler per cage) were selected and killed at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 days of age, respectively.Results: Body weight continuously increased with age of broiler chickens from 5 to 40 days. Electric power data has the characteristics of large rate span, numerous data sources, complicated interaction methods, and various types of data. The existence of abnormal data in the power system will greatly reduce the accuracy of the system state estimation and the state estimation convergence rate. This paper introduces the power grid industrial control system, combines the data flow of power big data, and analyzes the abnormal information detection process in detail. It takes the data stream acquired by the acquisition unit PMU of the wide area measurement system as the research object. The rapid development of the Hadoop big data platform provides important technical support for the research of power grid big data. Based on the Hadoop platform, the clustering algorithm is used to complete the anomaly detection of real-time data. The LOF algorithm has poor performance when dealing with a large amount of high-dimensional data, and has high time and space complexity. In order to make up for the shortcomings of the LOF algorithm, this paper uses the K-means clustering algorithm to propose an improved algorithm K-LOF of the density-based local abnormal factor detection algorithm LOF, and optimizes the neighborhood query process. It is verified by experiments that the K-LOF algorithm can effectively reduce the time complexity of the anomaly detection algorithm and improve the detection accuracy by 2–4.2%.
