Data mining has played an active role in some deep-level applications, but at the same time, it also brings many problems in information security and privacy protection. The association rule mining algorithm based on randomized response (RR) protects private information to a certain extent. However, because all the disturbed data in the data interference strategy based on randomized response are directly related to the real original data, the effect of privacy protection is not obvious. Aiming at this problem, this paper proposes a more effective privacy protection method in association rule mining. Based on the existing association rule mining model, a suitable perturbation strategy is designed to reduce the interference between the perturbed data and the original data. Relevance, without affecting the accuracy of mining, further enhance the degree of privacy protection of the mechanism.

To improve the nutritional value and the palatability of air-dried rice straw, culture broth of the lactic acid bacteria community SFC-2 was used to examine the effects of two different treatments, fermentation and adsorption. Air-dried and chopped rice straw was treated with either fermentation for 30 d after adding 1.5 L nutrient solution (50 mL inocula L−1, 1.2×1012 CFU mL−1 inocula) kg−1 straw dry matter, or spraying a large amount of culture broth (1.5 L kg−1 straw dry matter, 1.5×1011 CFU mL−1 culture broth) on the straw and allowing it to adsorb for 30 min. The feed quality and aerobic stability of the resulting forage were examined. Both treatments improved the feed quality of rice straw, and adsorption was better than fermentation for preserving nutrients and improving digestibility, as evidenced by higher dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) concentrations, lower neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and NH3-N concentrations, as well as higher lactic acid production and in vitro digestibility of DM (IVDMD). The aerobic stability of the adsorbed straw and the fermented straw was 392 and 480 h, respectively. After being exposed to air, chemical components and microbial community of the fermented straw were more stable than the adsorbed straw.

In a recent article [Commun. Theor. Phys. (Beijing, China) 47 (2007) 270], Cao et al. gave some nontrivial solutions of a Riccati equation by using symbolic and algebra computation. They took these solutions, which are in the form of q-deformed hyperbolic and triangular functions as new solutions. In this comment, we will show that these solutions are just the special cases of some known solutions of the Riccati equation and thus they are not new solutions.

In this paper, some solutions of a generalized Riccati equation are investigated, which are given in the recent articles [Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 24 (2005) 257; Phys. Lett. A 336 (2005) 463], and the relationship among the solutions is revealed.

The autosome dominant disorders, ring dermoid of the cornea (RDC), iris hypolasia (IH) and Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome (ARS), are allelic disor- ders, as all three can result from mutations of the transcriptional factor PITX2. Among three disorder phenotypes, ARS is the most severe, IH is milder than ARS, and RDC is the mildest. Missense muta- tions of the PITX2 homeodomain identified in RDC (R62H), IH (R84W) and ARS patients (T68P) were introduced into PITX2 cDNA by site-directed mutagenesis. PITX2 mutant proteins expressed in eucaryotic cells were stable and localized to the nu- cleus. Analysis of these mutant PITX2 proteins by DNA-binding shift and transactivation studies dem- onstrated that the R62H had the most activity in both studies, and the R84W still retained somewhat func- tions, whereas the T68P proved to be non-functional. These results are consistent with previous hypothesis that varying amount of residual PITX2 mutant activity could underline the severity of these phenotypes.

A simple, efficient and accurate high resolution method to tracking movinginterfaces—the characteristic integral-averaging finite volume method on unstructured meshes is proposed. And some numerical tests and evaluation of six main efficient methods for interface reconstruction are made. Through strict numerical simulation, their characters, advantages and shortcomings are compared, analyzed and commended in particular.

An automatic generation method of Hui-sytle architectures based on 2D planar graph is proposed in the paper through analyzing architecture construction styles and layout characteristics of Hui-style architectures. On the basis of plotting out the road net of the village, 2D planar layout graph of village is generated according to the patterns of architecture surface and self-adapt BFS method. And then the extensible template library of 3D architecture units is constructed, which mapped into the 2D planar graph to construct 3D models of Hui-style village. The experiment shows that our modeling method is fast, has a high level of automation, and it looks realistic of the 3D models' rendering result.

A technique for detecting brain injury at the bedside has great clinical value, but conventional imaging techniques (such as computed tomography [CT] and magnetic resonance imaging) are impractical. In this study, a novel method–the symmetrical channel electroencephalogram (EEG) signal analysis–was developed for this purpose. The study population consisted of 45 traumatic brain injury patients and 10 healthy controls. EEG signals in resting and stimulus states were acquired, and approximate entropy (ApEn) and slow-wave coefficient were extracted to calculate the ratio values of ApEn and SWC for injured and uninjured areas. Statistical analyses showed that the ratio values for both ApEn and SWC between injured and uninjured brain areas differed significantly (P < 0.05) for both resting and name call stimulus states. A set of criteria (range of ratio values) to determine whether a brain area is injured or uninjured was proposed and its reliability was verified by statistical analyses and CT images.

We propose an optical counterpart of the quantum spin Hall (QSH) effect in a two-dimensional photonic crystal composed of a gyrotropic medium exhibiting both gyroelectric and gyromagnetic properties simultaneously. Such QSH effect shows unidirectional polarization-dependent transportation of photonic topological edged states, which is robust against certain disorders and impurities. More importantly, we find that such unique property is not protected by conventional time-reversal symmetry of photons obeying the Bosonic statistics but rather by the same symmetry, as electron's time-reversal symmetry. Based on the tight-binding approximation approach, we construct an effective Hamiltonian for this photonic structure, which is shown to have a similar form to that of an electronic QSH system. Furthermore, the invariant of such model is calculated in order to unify its topological non-trivial character. Our finding provides a viable way to exploit the optical topological property, and also can be leveraged to develop a photonic platform to mimic the spin properties of electrons., Comment: 20 pages, 5 figures

The problem of asymptotic output tracking is considered for control systems described by a class of nonlinear differential-algebraic equations. Assumptions are introduced, and an algorithm is developed. Based on the algorithm, a nonlinear feedback control law is then constructed which ensures, under appropriate conditions, that the closed-loop system has a unique bounded differentiable solution and the tracking error in the closed-loop system approaches zero when time goes to infinity.

Solid silicon nitride nanowires were produced by using carbon nanotubes as precursors. The reaction was carried out in ammonia atmosphere, Si and SiO 2 were used as starting materials. The structure, phase composition, dielectric properties and oxidation resistance of the sample were investigated. The results showed that the sizes of the nanorods are 60–80 nm in diameter and up to several microns in length. In the products α-Si 3 N 4 is the main component; due to nano-material's quantum size effects, the FTIR spectra of the silicon nitride nanowires have blue shift phenomena; the sample shows good oxidation resistance in high temperature. The dielectric constants decrease with the increasing measuring frequency. The dielectric constants reduced from 9(10KHz) to 6.9(100MHz) at room temperature.

Microgrids integrate distributed renewable energy resources, controllable loads and energy storage in a more economic and reliable fashion. Battery energy storage units are essential for microgrid operation, which make microgird become a strong coupling system in the time domain. Hence, the traditional methods of static dispatch are no longer suitable for microgrids. This paper proposes a dynamic economic dispatch method. Considering microgrid as a discrete time system, the dynamic economic dispatch is to find the optimal control strategy for the system in finite time period. Based on this idea, the dynamic economic dispatch model for microgrids is established, and then the corresponding dynamic programming algorithm is designed. Finally, an example of microgrid is given, and the dynamic economic dispatch results are compared with that of the static dispatch. The comparison confirms the effectiveness of the proposed dynamic dispatch method.

Summary form only given. This paper describes the details of design and construction of the device that is able to produce three high-voltage pulses of 200 kV sequentially. The device consists of four pulse-forming lines connected in series by three switches, and three Marx generators to charge the PFLs. The interval between pulses, determined by triggering pulses, ranges from 0 to 1mus. Two kinds of switches, V/N switch and coaxial switch, have been tested on the device. Although pulses obtained at the matched resistance load remain stable, due to changing of the state of the switches, the quality of second and third pulses are worse than the first one.

The problems of stability conditions and state feedback H∞ controller designs for discrete-time T-S fuzzy systems are studied. A new stability conditions are obtained derived in previous papers, and a sufficient LMI conditions which guarantee the existence of the state feedback H∞ controller for discrete-time T-S fuzzy systems is proposed. Finally the effectiveness of the proposed approach is shown through a numerical example.

This paper discusses the existence and uniqueness of solutions to a special kind of nonlinear singular systems-affine nonlinear singular systems. The results in part I are extended to the case of singular systems with inputs. The properties of solutions to singular control systems are investigated by using the method of nonlinear coordinates transformation. Sufficient and necessary conditions of the existence of a unique differentiable solution are given.

This short paper discusses robust stabilization problem for affine nonlinear singular systems. An algorithm is proposed. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the robust stabilization problem are derived.

In this paper we consider the robust regulation problems of minimum-phase nonlinear systems with the time-varying parameter uncertainties which enter linearly. It is shown that if the undisturbed system has the minimum-phase, parameters or disturbances are in a (unknown) compact set, and the generalised triangularity condition holds, then there exists a "softer" state feedback controller with observer, motivated by Freeman and Kobotovic (1993), than backstepping design used by Marino and Tomei (1993), which regulates each uncertain system in the family.

In this paper, we discuss the disturbance decoupling problem by regular feedback for linear time-varying singular systems. First, we provide a new algorithm. Then, by such an algorithm, sufficient and necessary conditions for the solvability of the disturbance decoupling problem for linear time-varying singular systems are derived.

Dual-wavelength LEDs with doped quantum well barriers of different doping concentrations are numerically investigated by using the APSYS simulation software. The carrier concentrations, radiative recombination rates, energy band diagrams and spectra are investigated at different doping types and different doping concentrations. The results show that through adjusting the doping concentration of the quantum well barrier a suitable spectrum can be obtained, which will satisfy the need of application. And the effect of spectrum-control in dual-wavelength LED is due to the blocking effect of electrons and holes by doped quantum well barriers.

In this paper, a computational program for two dimensional unsteady compressible, elastic-plastic flow is used to study low speed jet penetration into a steel target. Based on the computational results, the dynamic process of penetration can be distinguished into two stages, cratering and steady penetrating. This is in agreement with the jet penetration mechanism developed by Cheng Che Min in 1972[1,2]. The consumption of the jet energy is discussed and the value of the critical jet velocity, which represents the strength resistance of the target, is estimated.
